The class hasn't changed this year too: the proper chairs with soft cushions are still there to sit and lean back on, and they are still charmed to take the most comfortable shape and height once a student is seated. The walls are still a soft, calming blue. There are still one big, grey rubbish bin by the door and a white, porcelain washbasin with a tap for those who wants to wash their hands before/after the class and who can't perform 'Aguamenti' charm (a short hose to direct the water to the cauldron is on the white, porcelain shelf hung on the wall, in case it doesn't fit the washbasin).

Professor Cosgrach is sitting at his desk, looking a little tired but well otherwise.


OOC: If you are going to RP your characer use the washbasin or the bin, you don't have to take Cosgrach's permission. Just assume he has granted it.

The class HAS begun, so please don't post yourself late but pretend as if you've been here all the time.


Potion Progress
  • 1 jobberknoll feather
  • half a unicorn tail hair
  • three leech head
  • half a ginger root
  • ten carrots
  • a bunch of knotgrass
  • one wormwood
  • ten crow feathers
  • one common spider
  • two crocodile teeth
  1. Add the jobberknoll feather without any water or fire
  2. Lay half the unicorn hair onto the feather vertically.
  3. Add a litre of water
  4. Add the leech heads one by one
  5. With a metal stick, stir it clockwise for ten times (Clean the metal stick before and after using)
  6. Add half the ginger root
  7. Wait for two minutes
  8. Add ten cubes of ice all at once
  9. Wait until they melt and grate five of the carrots in the meantime. Add the ungrated ones at once, and sprinkle the grated ones
  10. Tie the wormwood around knotgrass and add them (If everything has been right, the steam will make you nauseous)
  11. Stir eleven times clockwise with wooden stick. Do clean it before using.
  12. Add two crow feathers. Stir once clockwise with metal stick. Add another two feathers and stir clockwise with metal stick again. Go on like this until all feathers are added. Do not stir after the last couple of feathers. (You don't have to remove metal every time to clean it - just keep it inside the cauldron until last feather is added.)
  13. Add the spider
  14. Add one crocodile tooth, wait until the potion grumbles, then add the second
  15. Wait until the potion turns your favourite colour (takes about 3 days)
  • Colour: is the favourite colour of the person who's looking at it
  • Effect: It makes you hate the first person you see, sharpens your tongue: you are very ready to point out the faults of that person
  • The taste is bitter and will remain for a day
  • Duration: Depends on the drinker - if they are prone to hatred, it'll be longer (roungly 3-5 hours)
  • Effect on drinker: He/she will experience fatigue once the effect wears off

Was it just him or was this class going rather quickly?

Not that Benny was complaining. Nope. The sooner they brewed, the sooner they could move on to happier things then hate potions. Much happier things lay outside the class. So he would be moving on with the rest of the class as Professor Culloden directed. "Scourgify," he cast on his measure impliments before switching to a "Aquamenti" to fill one up to measure out the liter of water that was next to add. The boy whistling more as he worked. Once he had enough, Benny ended the spell and carfully added the water into his cauldron.

He raised his eyebrow as Adi grumbled something about forgetting his gloves. "Just put them on now...no sense being troubled about it." The professor hadn't pointed him out specifically so it should be all fine. For the next step, fourth year added the leech heads. One...two...three. Simple pimple. So Adi was keeping an eye on him. All Ben could do was randomly shrug at the thought.

"Scourgify," Ben cast once more on his metal rod. "Gotta keep everything clean..." he mused once it was and he could work with it. One...two...three...four...five...six...seven...ei ght...nine...ten stirs clockwise. He noticed AJ staring at him as he paused momentarily. "Are you keeping an eye on me too?" With one final step for now, he added the half of a ginger root before sitting back, keeping an eye on the clock to measure two minutes.

So far so good.

"Good job, Angel," he said with a big smile as his girlfriend completed her own steps alongside him. All seemed to be well and correct with her work as well.

Adi just stood there staring at Benny. Whistling...it was the first time that he had actually heard Benny whistle. "Want to sing a song too?'' he whispered. But after that the Puffer just listened to Professor Culloden and his instructions.

Ice cubes. Okay. Ten of those were coming right up. The two minutes were done anyway. Throwing a glance at Benny, Adi left to collect the cubes. He dumped then into the cauldron (not hard enough to cause a mini commotion), shot another glance at Benny and pulled his carrots towards him. What to do with these again? Adi glanced at the board. Oh, right!

While the ice cubes were there turning into water, he grated five carrots using his freshly Scourgified grater. He shot another glance at Benny. The Dragon looked fine...It took him longer than five minutes to get the carrots grated but at least when he peeked into the cauldron, the cubes were fully gone.

Another glance in Benny's direction as the Puffer added the five ungrated carrots then followed it up by sprinkling in the grated ones. Now, the wormwood and knotgrass in hand, he tied the first ingredient around the second and added it to the cauldron.

Adi dropped into his seat to update his notes. But first, he shot another look at Benny. He was very much serious when he said he would be keeping an eye on his friend.

Okay this potion was getting weird and she was totally confused.

Angel went over to collect the 10 ice-cubes she knew what the outcome of this would be they would melt eventually... but it might take a while... she was going to get bored waiting.

Angel dropped all the ice-cubes into the water and looked at the next step so she had to grate 5 carrots. Angel started to grate them.. it was at this time she noticed Adi continuing to glance at Benny. She decided that she would speak to the nurse about him later and see if there was Benitus going around or not because boy was Adi obsessed.

It took Angel just over five minutes to grate the 5 carrots she then peeked into her cauldron and saw the ice-cubes had gone. This was awesome she put the ungrated carrots into the pot straight away and then sprinkled the grated ones.

Angel then tie the wormwood around knotgrass and add them into the cauldron as well. She then looked at Benny who seemed to be doing well. "Your doing amazing Ben." Angel smiled at her boyfriend. She then updated her notes.

Poor Cosgrach. He seemed utterly perplexed by AJ's hot and cold demeanor, but UNICORNS. It all came down to the unicorns. Now that she was completely satisfied, they could all go about their little potion lab like normal. Nothing to see here.

The two minutes were up so AJ walked up and grabbed her ten ice cubes. Apparently they could all go in at the same time, so the second year dumped them all in. There. Now they just had to melt. Benny caught her attention when he spoke to her. A little cheeky, eh? Something was definitely up. Granted AJ didn't know him as well as Adi did, but she knew him well enough to know that he seemed WAY more cheerful. Not that it was a bad thing. AJ happened to like this cheerful, more talkative lion. She had to refrain from saying it was a free country. Real mature, AJ. "I'm just observing," was what she said instead.

Turning her attention back to her carrots, she cleaned her grater BEFORE grating the carrots. See, she was super clean. Her ice was all melted, and she added the ungrated carrots followed by sprinkling the grated carrots on top.

Then she tied the wormwood around the knotgrass and added that as well. Done, and done.

Professor Culloden came over to Jasmine with a confused look on his face. How was she going to explain her careless mistake? "Professor, I don't know how, but I made a huge mistake. I put whole leeches in my potion instead of just the heads. I'm so sorry, I must have lost my concentration." Now her potion was ruined. Jasmine was so upset with herself that she didn't know what to do. "Could I possibly start over?" Jasmine didn't know whether Professor Culloden would allow it or even if there was enough time left in the class. She just knew that she could make a proper potion.

Oh Merlin no. Toby didn't think he could cope with upsetting a first year; he was slightly alarmed as the girl started pouting, his mind going through a million and one possible things to do that might save the situation. LUCKILY, the crisis was averted, because Magdalena was gonna come sit with him. After breathing a HUGE sigh of relief as she gathered her stuff and moved it all to the other workstation, Toby DID pick up Magdalena's chair to bring it over, and set it down in the spot on the other side of him. He only vaguely registered being awarded house points, causing him to flash Culloden a small smile of thanks, though he wouldn't have minded getting no points at all either. Helping made him happy.

Once he was back at his own space again, Toby made sure to focus on Kyroh for a minute, to see how he was getting on.

"Y'doing okay, bud?" the Hufflepuff smiled at his little Ravenclaw friend, giving him a quick little shoulder pat/squeeze, 'cause shoulder pats were awesome, right? He probably might have said a little more to the less-chipper-than-usual second year but 1. they were in the middle of a lesson and 2. he was starting to get behind in this potion.

A litre of water was easy enough. Toby still had the beaker he'd just demonstrated scourgify on, right there in his hand. The fifth year held it up to about eye level and pointed his wand inside the glass container again.

"Aguamenti," he cast, finding that the spell worked even though his mind was partially elsewhere. Toby waited until the water line reached the 'one litre' mark before cancelling the spell, and waiting just another moment or two to make sure that the water really WAS at the right level. Finding that it was, he poured it into the cauldron.

Time for................... three leach heads

That was disturbing, and Toby couldn't help but make a face at that instruction. But he did what needed to be done in this class, because all this stuff was already dead, right? ... Right?

As he went through his potions kit, Toby became aware of Magdalena beside him again, looking all kinds of lost and confused. It appeared that she still hadn't done the unicorn hair.

"Here y'go, Magdalena," he spoke out, offering the first year the other half of his unicorn tail hair. "You can use mine if you like, seeing as I don't need the other half." They... didn't need the other half, right? Toby checked the ingredients and found that no... it was cool. "Or you can use your knife to cut a full one in half?" Yayyy, helping.

But yeah, these leaches. Toby pulled on his gloves, because ew, took hold of his own knife from his potions kit, and cleaned it on both sides of the blade with magic

"Scourgify... scourgify..."

That done, he took out three leeches from the little vial they belonged to and, with a displeased sort of grimace, he cut the heads off the little slimy black things and dropped them into the cauldron one by one.

Metal stirrer, metal stirrer... It took him a moment or two to find it, but Toby located the metal stick/stirrer in ENTIRELY the wrong place in his potions kit before giving it a quick "Scourgify."

Then he got to stirring: One... two... three... four... five... six... seven... eight... nine... ten. Ten stirs done, Toby removed the metal stick again.

"Scourgify."

The Hufflepuff set the stirrer down and glanced at the next instructions. Half the ginger root... easy enough. That called for the knife again, which Toby cleaned with another cleaning spell, before chopping the ginger root directly in half and adding it to the potion.

And now... the two minute wait. Toby took that time to quickly update his notes and see what was happening with the kids on either side of him, because as long as he kept looking

Oops, Caleb was falling behind again! He had been so focused on the placement of everything...and now to add water. Which would probably RUIN the placement but whatever. He'd followed Culloden's instructions to a T, right? So it should be ok.

He added the litre of water, just as instructed. "Aguamenti," he muttered as he watched the cauldron rise up to the litre mark with water. BOOM done! And now, leech heads? Gross. Scowling a bit, he took the heads and dropped them in. Bloop bloop bloop. Three heads in, boom! Next step!

A burped or blurping potion was cool. Probably meant the whole thing was a disaster. Yeah, probably was. Well not thought given. He would just continue on and see what color this thing turns.

So next was the ice. Easy enough. Dante went up and got the ten cubes of ice. He dumped them in his cauldron like told. If there were more instructions like that. Potions would be fun. Oh time to grate and how do you do that. What even is grating. Dante's mom usually has someone do the cooking or makes horrible food when she is in the mood. But he could do the ungrated ones first and...done. Then he just tossed the carrots in. Though the ice did not melt in the five minutes. Now it was fairly obvious he did this wrong. Looked like a horrible healty drink in his cauldron. Even more when he added the wormwood with the knotgrass tied around it.

He would totally hate to drink this thing.

...what was with this potion? She had to TIE things around other things? Jeez. Despite Professor Cosgrach's obvious insanity, Norah wrote down the next steps. With a backward glance at her potion, she went to the front of the room and collected her ten ice cubes. She waited a few moments after returning to ensure her potion had settled for exactly two minutes, and then dropped the ice cubes from her gloved hands into the cauldron all at once. Separating half of her ten carrots from the rest, she pointed her wand at her grater and muttered "Scourgify" before setting to the task of grating the lucky five. Every carrot or so, she peeked in to see if her ice had melted yet. They still had a little longer to go once her five carrots were grated, so she cleaned her grater one more time, just for the heck of that. How's THAT for cleanliness, eh?

AHA! No more ice cubes! Norah held her five un-grated carrots low over the surface of her potion before dropping them in to avoid any splashing, and then sprinkling the grated ones over the top. Norah paused for a moment, enjoying the daintiness of her sprinkling, before consulting her notes for the next step. Oh right, the weird tying thing. She slipped off her gloves and Scourgified them quickly before pulling them back on again, just in case the sensitive little potion would have a problem with the ickle knot being touched by carrot residue on her gloves too soon. Honestly. How ridiculous. She couldn't help but roll her eyes at the ingredients as she tried to tie wormwood around her knotgrass. The stupid gloves were making her hands all clunky. A few more seconds of struggling were rewarded, and she finally succeeded before adding that weird combination to her cauldron as well. Norah looked around at the other students. That was it, yeah?

The Professor had approached Eden and was querying whether everything was okay and Layla watched slipping back to her desk. She would not be held responsible for anything that had gone wrong with her fellow Ravenclaw’s potion after all. Hers was going pretty well if you asked her. She hadn’t made a mistake and the current state of her cauldron seemed as identical as the majority of the rest of the classroom. So if they were all wrong then it would surely be down to a mistake in the instructions and not in their potion making abilities.

She headed over to the ice bucket after the next set of instructions were explained where she picked up ten identical cubes of ice and brought them back to her workspace. She added the pile simultaneously into the cauldron using a gloved hand. Whilst waiting for them to melt she grated up five of the carrots and formed a nice neat pile within a china bowl on her desk. The other five carrots went into the potion whole after the ice cubes had melted into a puddle of very cold water. She didn’t really understand why they had to use ice cubes after having put in water earlier. Nor why it was required that half of the carrots be grated and the other half whole. To her it seemed pointless and she would of questioned its legitimacy but she wasn’t a fully qualified potioneer.

After the ungrated carrots were dropped in she sprinkled the five remaining grated carrots into the potion too. The next task seemed odd too. Why the Professor couldn’t have just supplied the knotgrass already tied up in the wormwood she didn’t know. Perhaps he just liked to make life more difficult for them. Either way she obeyed and dropped the wormwood/knotgrass parcel carefully into her cauldron.

Once this was complete, the Blonde turned back to writing her notes.

The Hate Potion

Potion Description
Induces a feeling of hatred by the drinker to the first person that they see after consuming the liquid.

Usage
To highlight the negative side of a crooked relationship. To help the drinker to see the implications that the person the potion induces to hate is treating the drinker disrespectfully or harshly. As a harsh practical joke to deduce how emotional potions can help affect the human mind.

Ingredients
- One jobberknoll feather
- Half a unicorn tail hair
- Three leech head
- Half a ginger root
- Ten carrots
- A bunch of knotgrass
- One wormwood
- Ten crow feathers
- One common spider
- Two crocodile teeth

Method
1. Make sure to ALWAYS clean hands and equipment before usage (gloves if required)
2. Add the jobberknoll feather without any water or fire
3. Lay the unicorn hair onto the feather vertically and make sure it touches the feather completely.
4. Use Aguamenti to add a litre of water to the potion
5. Add the three leech heads one at a time.
6. Use a cleaned (scourgify) metal stick to stir potion ten times clockwise
7. Add half a ginger root and wait two minutes
8. Collect and add ten identical ice cubes into the cauldron simultaneously
9. Wait around 5 minutes until ice cubes completely melted
10. Grate five carrots and keep the other five whole. Add the whole ones all at once and sprinkle the grated.
11. Tie wormwood around knotgrass and add.

His wand hand twitched. He wanted to INTERFERE and brew her potion for her if need be, because honestly, she was not learning anything. But he didn't. He held himself back. He didn't want to offend her, now that they were on good terms.

They were on good terms, right?!

"I got this, Mr. Potions!" and Zahra did cut off her water. It was PROBABLY a liter. Closer enough. She WINKED at him, gave him a snap snap, and proceeded to wiggle two of her leeches at him.

'Cause those were next. LEECH HEADS. Sure, the rest of the class was four hundred thousand steps ahead of her. SO. SO WHAT.

SO on to leeches. .... hmm. She looked for head, SHRUGGED, made a best guest and CHOPPED OFF SOME HEADS. Yarrr.

One two three! "Swim little leechy heads! But watch out for that hair on the feather! Don't knock that off or anything."

Marigold had an expression that read clearly "ahhhhhhhhhh!" Not that she was confused, there were just LOTS of instructions that she needed to write down before she could actually do them. Luckily, she had pretty good shorthand, so she scribbled the next few steps down quickly.

SPOILER!!: Marigold's Procedure Notes
-Add the jobberknoll feather without any water or fire

-Lay half the unicorn hair onto the feather vertically.

-Add a litre of water

-Add the leech heads one by one

-With a metal stick, stir it clockwise for ten times (Clean the metal stick before and after using)

-Add half the ginger root

-Wait for two minutes

-Add ten cubes of ice all at once

-Wait until they melt and grate five carrots. Add the ungrated ones at once, and sprinkle the grated ones

-Tie the wormwood around knotgrass and add them


She put her quill down and rubbed her thumb, which was going a bit numb. She hurried to the front of the classroom and counted out ten ice cubes, then brought them back to her desk cupped in her hands. She dropped them carefully into her cauldron, then took her grater and carrots out.

"Scourgify," she said, cleaning the grater, then she immediately started making the carrots into carrot-pulpy-stuff. Five of them went like this. She waited for a couple more moments for the ice to melt, then added the whole carrots. She sprinkled the grated carrots on top.

Knotgrass tied around wormwood? Or the other way around? She checked her notes, then tied the wormwood around the knotgrass, then placed it into her cauldron.

Hugo looked up at the professor and nodded quickly. “Yes, sir” so it was pretty obvious that Cosgrach loved cleanliness. Does he had to apologize for the mess he probably could do later? Naaah…Good luck, professor.

He did as he was told. Cleaned his gloves and followed the steps Cosgrach had just explained to the class. First, the water and then the leech heads. One, two and three. The boy observed the inside of his cauldron. Does he had to drink this for his homework? He wondered what it would taste like.

Alright, metal stick. He took his and of course, cleaned it because everything should be clean, right professor? Everything. Yup he had understood. He stirred it ten times and took it out once he was done. After that he added the ginger root and waited the two minutes. Potions were really complicated and most of the time he had been watching the older students to see how they were doing it. So, he believed his potion was on the right path. Hopefully.

The two minutes were up and there was more instructions to follow. Quickly, Hugo wrote down his notes and walked to the front to grab the ten ice cubes. “Are they clean, professor?” the boy joked. Grin. He moved to his work area and dropped them all at once. Melt, melt, melt.

Now…the grater.

THE grater.

Hugo dreaded that thing. He had used it before and for some reason bad skills at using cooking utensils he had cut a bit of skin from his fingers. So instead he added the ungrated ones, the nice ones, the ones that would not damage his skin. But of course he had to grate. “I don’t trust you” said to the grater and glared at it. Yeah he was talking alone to a non living object. He did it carefully and for a second he believed that his relationship with the grater was getting better. That opinion changed when he glanced at the instructions and his finger felt the so lovely blade. So lovely. There it goes, there it goes again, cutting my finger skin…

It wasn’t a big cut but still. He covered up his finger with a tissue and kept going with his potion. FUN PART! Spriiinkle the carrots. Hugo grabbed a bunch and slowly let them mix into the potion. And now, the moment of truth: Were all of the ice cubes already melt? Probably there was one or two remaining there but that was fine. For him.

Sooo, wormwood and knotgrass. Hmm. Which one is which? The boy raised his hand. “Professor, which one is the wormwood?

Annabeth heard Culloden's instructions while checking on her watch the time. She had to wait one minute and a half, it was an eternity when one was waiting for approaching Professor Culloden's desk and feel his mesmerizing perfume. She sighed. Maybe she could go there and ask him about something... She had a few footsteps to walk until the desk. Anna sighed and smiled, while picked ten cubes of ice.

Back to her workstation, and still smiling, she put the ice cubes all at once into her cauldron and waited for them to melt while grating five carrots. Would she do it without saying a single word? Of course not. Still feeling Culloden's perfume in her nostrils, she raised one hand and asked,

"Professor, I was wondering... we can say that when someone is hating someone else we can observe an icy mood lingering between them. Would be the ice the main ingredient of this potion?" She frowned, feigning interest, trying to grate the second carrot. Which she didn't expect was that the carrot had become smaller and she grated her own finger instead.

"Ouch!" She cried, and then she put her finger into her mouth to avoid blood overflown over her potion. It could ruin all her work. Damn professor! Why couldn't he be less handsome?! A rather angry, she searched for any small piece of skin which could be among the grated carrot and then looked at her gloves. Was she supposed to be wearing them, right? Anna put them on and finished grating the carrots.

The girl looked into her cauldron. The ice cubes had melted and it was time to add five carrots at once and then the grated ones over them. Her finger hurt inside the glove and she was sure it was bleeding. She didn't care about her finger, she was worried that some skin or blood had dropped into the cauldron along with the carrots.

It was when she noticed sweat dripping down her face. Quickly Anna stepped back and dried the sweat on her sleeve. She couldn't allow any drop of sweat to spoil her perfect potion. Anna looked over her workstation. It was a mess, there were drops of blood and small amounts of grated carrots here and there. She pointed her wand and cleaned it all. The next step was to tie the wormwood around the knotgrass. It wouldn't be easy because of the gloves and the paining finger, but she didn't dare to pull off her gloves. She could feel it was wet inside. Blood, probably.

She took the ingredients, pursed her lips and tried to tie the wormwood around knotgrass. "Somebody help me! I can't tie this wormwood!"

Ingredients

one wormwood

one common spider
two crocodile teeth


Procedure
1. Clean the cauldron (scourgify)
2. Add the jobberknoll feather (without and water of fire.)
3. Lay half a unicorn tail hair vertically over the feather.
4. Add a litre of water, and then three leech heads one by one.
5. With a metal stick, stir it clockwise for ten times. Clean the metal stick before and after using.
6. Then add half the ginger root.
7. wait for two minutes.

She'd show her, even. Soph plucked a squeaky-clean cutting knife from her potions kit, set the leech on the table between her and Dot, and only took a moment to judge roughly where the halfway point between the brain and hearts would be. "It's more of a careful approximation than an exact way to go about it, but as long as y'don't get much more than this much of the tip, you're probably okay." Not all leeches were the same, after all, so all one could really do was take an educated guess at the best place to cut.

Was that enough help? Soph offered Dot another smile, hoping it was good enough for her, then went ahead and repeated the step two more times so she had three leech heads in all. Then she methodically added one leech head to the cauldron at a time, curiously peeking down at the water below to see how all the ingredients were reacting to each other as each individual leech head joined the contents. When all three were added, she scooped the bodies of the leeches and wrapped them up into one of her napkins and set it aside. She'd... put that in the trash later. And she needed to learn how to vanish things. Sigh.

She removed a glove to pick up her wand again and quickly cleaned everything she'd just made messy - the tabletop, her gloves, the cutting knife, then the metal stirrer she'd use next, too, even though she'd already cleaned it once. Didn't hurt to make sure it was super clean of germs, though, yeah? She slid the newly-cleaned glove back onto her hand, picked up the metal stirrer, and stirred exactly ten times clockwise. No more, no less. Perfect.

For now, Soph set the metal stirrer aside on a napkin - she'd clean it next time she was set to do more necessary wandwork - and picked up her clean cutting knife to slice a ginger root in half. Glancing at her watch to see where the time would start, Soph added the half of the ginger root to the cauldron and made a mental note of when the two minutes would be up.

While she had the spare time - there was really no such thing as spare time in potions, she knew, for she could always be doing something to prepare for later - she took her gloves off, scooped her wand back up, and busied herself with cleaning everything that needed to be cleaned at her workstation. Super ON THE BALL.


So. This girl was extreme-leeeeey helpful. Dot got all up close and personal as she demonstrated how to decapitate leeches, even poking out a finger to feel where the head and heart were. They were only about a finger-width apart, so if she pressed her finger down just so and then cut where she was pushing... she'd have cut off only the leech head.

It wasn't very precise, though, and Dot wondered if she could maybe take a leech to dissect to figure out their insides a little bit better. Later, not now. Dot laid her three leeches in a line and, after cleaning her knife, she cut through all three of them at once. Now that she'd figured out the head thing. Master Decapitator.

And into the cauldron they went. Drop. Drop. Drop. Now for stirring. Did she even have a metal stick? Dot poked through her belongings and extracted the stick thing. Why not use a spoon, huh? Or one of those dowel rod things? Dot Scourgified the stick and then plopped it into the cauldron and sloshed her potion juuuust a bit counterclockwise before catching herself. CLOCKWISE. Ten times.

The stick dripped everywhere as she tugged it out of the potion. Ick. Leech juice. Dot poked her wand at the drip and tried out her new spell yet again. "Scourgify." Oh, and her stick-thing too. "Lookit," Dot held up her clean stick for Older Girl. "I did it again. What's your name?"

She waved her ginger root at the girl too. See this very clean knife? Dot was using it to cut her ginger. See, Girl Person? See? Dot was going to be the professor's favorite someday too. "Dima is my best friend since forever. Kyroh is my new freckle friend. My Oggie says I have to be friends with girls, though." And plunk into the potion went the ginger root.

Awww, just listen to that. Alexa grinned at him. "S'nice of you to say." She liked being scary regardless. It wasn't something she was constantly working at but it was a nice thought nonetheless. How many people could say they were scary without trying, huh? That's what she thought. "You could be scary too....with a bit of effort and application." Which roughly translated to the kid having no chance in his current state of Hufflepuff mind. Just LOOK at how happily he was sharing his unicorn hair after she'd stolen one. It's was admirable but merlin.

With a flick of her wand, Lex had the cauldron filled with a litre of water. Under normal circumstances she might have asked why they couldn't use more but having no particular interest in this one, she didn't mind the quantity too much. She picked up the leech heads after and dropped them in one by one for a count of three. There, three leech heads.

Where was her metal stick? She JUST had it. Lex sighed, decided not to make too much of a big deal out of it. She might have borrowed Dima's but after shuffling around a few things she found hers! "Scourgify" With it cleaned, she thrust it into the cauldron and gave ten stirs in a clockwise--did the board really say they had to clean the stick AGAIN??? Not like they'd be using it again, right? Regardless of that really important point, Lex scourgify-ed the stick once more. Just in case.

Next she grabbed the ginger root, dinffindo-ed it in half and added it as well. Now...now she waited. Two minutes, was it?

Were the two minutes up yet? A quick glance at her watch confirmed as much and she headed to collect the 10 cubes of ice--maybe that explained why they hadn't actually lit a fire? Need to make it cold? Interesting. Lex pushed away from her table and followed behind the others to the Professor's. 10 for her....and 10 for Dima...'cause he shared his unicorn hair.....sure.

"For you." She said, sliding 10 of her 20 ice-cubes toward him. "For after the two minutes of waiting are up, of course."

She dropped her own 10 into her cauldron all at once. No fire, they'd take forever. No wonder they were meant to grate some of the carrots while they waited. Here's to hoping she didn't gets bits of her own finger in there. Graters belonged in the kitchen, making them dangerous. Five was a lot of them too. Lots of chances to lose her fingers. Gee thanks Collarbin.

By the time she'd gotten done the last carrot, she saw that the cubes were melted nicely enough so she dumped the ungrated carrots then sprinkled the grated ones over them. With that taken care of she tied the knotgrass around the wormwood like he'd said and added them as well.

There, all caught up now....or at least she thought so.

Eden looked up at her roommate with SAD eyes. "Layla---" she whined and put her head on her desk, siiiiighing dramatically. Eden was a very dramatic person. DRAMATIC. She eyed her potion--it had turned a really ugly color--and she just nodded and tried to take her friend's advice.

THREE.

FOUR.


Okay? Enough times? SHe hoped so. But now it turned a very interesting color-but at least it didn't look completely DISGUSTING. SHe smiled at Layla. "I think there's no hope for me in this class--but thanks, Layla--" she winked as she girl went to go sit back in her seat. Wow. That was really nice. She'd have to gush to Clara later about her SWEET Layla had been? HEH. She liked nice Layla, too.

Was that cackle a good cackle or a bad one?

...abort thinking mission, Zahra was on move.

Cosgrach watched her somewhat warily, half relieved that she got the water part alright at least, but -

"Please stop or that'll be more'n'a litre."

His wand hand twitched. He wanted to INTERFERE and brew her potion for her if need be, because honestly, she was not learning anything. But he didn't. He held himself back. He didn't want to offend her, now that they were on good terms.

They were on good terms, right?!



Cosgrach was busy with some other student, and it wasn't like he had ten eyes anyway, so he didn't see this one. His potion blurped once, but didn't do anything else otherwise.



...Cosgrach's mouth was open, he was in shock, and all he could do was watching her.

But thankfully, soon enough, she got what he meant, and shortly after she was smiling.

"No... problem." He wanted to point out she was too ready to accuse him of murder only a few minutes ago, but he kept his mouth shut this time. It wouldn't serve them any good now that she was so focused, sooo...

Next student.



Cosgrach looked at her questioningly, not because he counted her stirs too, but because SHE looked panicked.

"Everything alright?"

WHAT did she do?



Jasmine's hand was up? Cosgrach walked to her, confused.

"Yes?" Was something wrong with someone?



...oh.

"Didn't notice that, sorry." He smiled at her and moved away.



Cosgrach smiled at the boy, happy to see him so enthusiastic. He would make a good potioneer... hopefully? Nothing would please Cosgrach more too.



Ignoring them, lalala.

Because Zander HAD it coming, so he WOULD have it.


Moving on.

OH NO HERE HE WAS GOSH --where could she hide? Under her desk? Before she COULD, though, he was there. Yikes. She gulped and blusheddddd. "Um--I'm okay--I think I'm good--no issues here, sir--" she said softly, but she was TOTALLY LYING SHE WAS NOT OKAY AT ALL NO.

But he didn't need to know that.

SHe just waited for him to leave, smiling aaaallll nervously at him, and sighed in relief as he DID--shooting Layla a NERVOUS look--were two minutes up? Oh whatever--she stood up and went to grab an ice cube. Rather, CUBES. What was she supposed to carry them in? Her hands? What? COLD? Fine--she quickly grabbed a handful--counted and make sure it was TEN exactly--okay? Right? And she went to sit down QUICKLY.

She plopped them all in and tried not to let any of the droplets plunk out at her. GAAHHH. This was bad. She was so bad. She felt so bad that she didn't think she would even RECOVER from this horrible potion. MERLIN. She bit her lip and squinted at the next step. Grate carrots. Wait for ice to melt. OKAY.

She did what the directions said...grating carrots...was this dinner or potions? Eden actually knew how to grate carrots, though, since her Mam was insistent that she knew how to cook. She was never home so Eden did have to cook a lot for herself anyways. She added the full carrots once the ice had melted. Wow. Did carrots have HATE juice in them? Cooooool. She then spriiiinkled the carrots on top of the other carrots...and waited...to see if it blew up or anything. She had tried her BEST to follow these directions perfectly.

Wormwood--what was that again? She looked down at her ingredients and sighed. Well. She took the stuff...that was more...tying-looking? and tied it around the grass-ish stuff. The ice had melted quickly--so maybe her potion wasn't too bad off. He said if it was done perfectly it wouldn't take more than five minutes? OKAY. Hers hadn't taken MUCH longer than that----

And now to wait for the next instructions. HEr eyes flickered to Layla. Gosh, the other 'claw was so GOOD at this. Unfair.

What did Culloden said? Ethan gawked at the potions master as he tried to speak French, but then immediately grinned as he received three points for helping out a fellow Snake. That was enough to completely ignore the drama that was brewing between the man, Zander, and Kevin. Well, he was sort of expecting that actually, so he wasn’t as shocked as last term. Also, Ethan briefly thought of Alexa, seeing that her lions are making a fuss. Oh well, not his problem. His Snakes are behaving so well, and that’s all that mattered to him.

Lalala. Oh, and next steps! Ethan put up a finger in front of Gregoire. “Hold on, I’ll just go add my leech heads. I'll be right back.” The other boy can understand simple English, yes? Merlin, he might need Grayson’s help. “Dude, Gregoire over there’s having trouble with his English. He’s actually French, and I don’t…sort of can’t understand some of his words.” And GrayGray was the perfect guy to show off his Frenchie skillz. Y’know, while Sophie…or Ruby was within earshot. Hehehehe.

Anyway, back to his potion. Ethan cleaned his huge beaker, added a litre of water in it, and added it to his cauldron. The prefect then added three leech heads into his solution one by one, cleaned his metal stick, and stirred the contents with it clockwise ten times. He cleaned his stirrer after use, and added half the ginger root. He needs to wait for two minutes, so instead of taking down notes, he sauntered back to Gregoire.

“Okay, Greg. Uh…is it okay I call you Greg? Greggy? Greg.” Ethan smiled at the boy and looked at what he did. Clever, that boy was lining up his ingredients so he won’t get lost. “Right. First step is to clean, EVERYTHING. I suppose you know the incantation for the cleaning spell, yeah?” Of course Greg knows, it’s the pronunciation that was bothering him. “It’s pronounced like this: skur-ji-fy.” Repeat after him, hmmkay? “Skur-ji-fy. Scourgify.” Ethan beamed at the boy, and looked back at his potion. Was his two minutes, up? “Listen, I’ll clean your cauldron and your utensils for you this one time so you can start with the potion,” Time was running, and Gregoire would lose his head if Culloden gives the next steps. “You can practice the spell after when your cauldron’s been used, so you’d see if your spell works or not.” Another beam from the prefect, and he got his wand out and pointed it at Gregoire’s cauldron. “Scourgify!” he also did the same for his metal stirrer. “Now, first things first. Jobberknoll feather into your cauldron, then lay half of the unicorn hair vertically on top of the first ingredient.” He said as Ethan eyed Greg’s ingredients laid out, then back to his potion behind him.


Alright!

Ethan was Gregoire's savior right now! Not only did he semi-clear up how to pronounce the spell, but he also cleaned his cauldron and metal stick thingy for him! "Merci, Ethan mon ami!" Gregoire said with glee, as he could finally start to catch up with the rest of the class! Granted it would take him a little bit longer...but...he could still do it! Gregoire was determined to finish this potion, whether it meant the death of him, or not!

...

That's when he realized...he spoke an entire sentence in French to a person who knew very little French. "Desole! I sometimes accidently slip into parlant Francais! What I meant to say was, thanks." After that he gave Ethan a big, warm smile.

Was that cackle a good cackle or a bad one?

...abort thinking mission, Zahra was on move.

Cosgrach watched her somewhat warily, half relieved that she got the water part alright at least, but -

"Please stop or that'll be more'n'a litre."

His wand hand twitched. He wanted to INTERFERE and brew her potion for her if need be, because honestly, she was not learning anything. But he didn't. He held himself back. He didn't want to offend her, now that they were on good terms.

They were on good terms, right?!



Cosgrach was busy with some other student, and it wasn't like he had ten eyes anyway, so he didn't see this one. His potion blurped once, but didn't do anything else otherwise.



...Cosgrach's mouth was open, he was in shock, and all he could do was watching her.

But thankfully, soon enough, she got what he meant, and shortly after she was smiling.

"No... problem." He wanted to point out she was too ready to accuse him of murder only a few minutes ago, but he kept his mouth shut this time. It wouldn't serve them any good now that she was so focused, sooo...

Next student.



Cosgrach looked at her questioningly, not because he counted her stirs too, but because SHE looked panicked.

"Everything alright?"

WHAT did she do?



Jasmine's hand was up? Cosgrach walked to her, confused.

"Yes?" Was something wrong with someone?



...oh.

"Didn't notice that, sorry." He smiled at her and moved away.



Cosgrach smiled at the boy, happy to see him so enthusiastic. He would make a good potioneer... hopefully? Nothing would please Cosgrach more too.



Ignoring them, lalala.

Because Zander HAD it coming, so he WOULD have it.


Moving on.

"Once two minutes are up, please come here and get ten cubes of ice," he said as he put a big bucket of ice on his desk from under it, "and add them all at once. Wait until they completely melt and grate five of the carrots in the meantime. Add the ungrated ones at once, and sprinkle the grated ones over. If you have been correct all this time, it shouldn't take all the ice longer than five minutes. Then, tie the wormwood around knotgrass and add them as well."

He waved his wand and these steps appeared on the blackboard.




Well crap.

Just when Gregoire thought he had some time to catch up with the others, the professor had to add some more steps! This was not good, not good at all! All these steps were starting to overwhelm him and make his head spin. There would be a death glare at the professor right now...but...it's the professor...meaning there could be a possible detention. Which first of all, there was already one person who got detention today in this class, Gregoire didn't want to make it two. And second of all, Gregoire Bastion does not get detention! No siree! Not this guy!

Now then, Gregoire had to start eventually, and that would be right now. With his gloved hand he gently laid the feather with the unicorn hair on top of it into his now clean cauldron. With those steps out of the way, he started to take off the leech heads. One leech head...two leech head...three leech head. Eugh! Nasty! Gregoire would hate to have on of these suckers get stuck to him!

Before adding the leech heads, Gregoire grabbed his wand. Pointing it at the cauldron he said "Aquamenti!" Then a steady pulse of water from his wand slowly started to fill up his cauldron. When it seemed to be about a liter Gregoire stopped the spell he casted. Maybe it was a bit more than a liter of water, but the professor shouldn't care, right? I mean. He couldn't be that picky about this stuff right? Right?? When he set his wand down he added the three leech heads into the water. Next he stirred the contents around ten times clockwise as the professor stated to do earlier.

1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...9...10!

This potion was starting to come together! It would be amazing if this would be brewed to perfection! Now that would be a dream come true.

With all of those previous steps already completed he looked at what to add next...the ginger root. Examining the ginger root in his gloved hand he briefly sniffed it...which wasn't the best idea. It smelled horrible! No wonder why Gregoire wasn't a big fan of Chinese food! They add ginger to basically all of their most famous dishes. Looking at the board it said to only add half of the ginger root, so he snapped it in half. It could've been better, and more even, but beggars can't be choosy. Anyways nobodies perfect after all. Dropping the ginger root in the water he started to wait the two minutes he needed to continue on with the next steps given to him.

Grayson looked over at the direction of the new kid and studied him. Huh. "Bonjour, Gregoire!" he called in a French accent, giving the boy a small wave before turning his attention to Ethan again, "You want me to be a translator? Help out?" Bros helped bros out so dude just needed to say.

This would be a good way to show off his French skills, wouldn't it? Brows.

And Ethan seemed to have a good handle on things already. Jeez, was the guy BORN a Prefect or what?

Shrugging, Grayson turned his attention towards the board where another multitude of instructions appeared. Not that the guy MINDED but really, Culloden, did you have somewhere to be? A date, maybe? It was a shame that there was no chance that his nosy self was going to find out the answer to this question. So, instead, he'd clean this jug using magic and collect up ten ice cubes from the front of the classroom.

When that was done, the boy headed back to his cauldron and added the ice cubes. Done. Simple. Those can melt away while he grabbed this grater over here and cast a "Scourgify!" on it. MAN, potions would make anyone good at this spell. Just look at Dima! Proud, Whitty was.

Scourgify was used AGAIN, on his gloves AND on his workspace before he split up the carrots into two sections of five. He took hold of one and started grating away, letting the grated carrot pieces fall onto his workspace. Gotta keep everything clean and whatnot. The grating continued and he only paused to take hold of another carrot and to check on the ice cubes in the potion. This wasn't an EXCITING task, so to say. Not when they had to grate FIVE carrots, which became boring and tiresome all too soon. And it felt a lot like cooking, actually.

When the five carrots were grated, Whitty checked the condition of the ice cubes yet again. Melted? GOOD. The ungrated carrots were added all at once while the grated ones were sprinkled in like the professional Potioneer he thought of himself as. Grayson then took hold of the knotgrass and the wormwood and tied the latter around the former. Dunno WHAT this was gonna do to the potion but he could go along with it.

And............ into the potion you go!

LOL at the last three ingredients.

While she waited, Hayden turned back to the beaker she'd used for the water earlier. She pointed her wand at it and said "Scourgify." Clean? Great. She waited a little bit longer until the two minutes were up and then went to the front of the room. She placed ten ice cubes into the beaker and went back to her seat. Add them all at once? She tipped the beaker over and poured the ice cubes in, keeping the beaker close so the ice cubes wouldn't splash. That probably wouldn't be good. "Professor, why do we add ice cubes? Why can't we just add a little more water? Wouldn't that be the same thing?" Especially since the ice cubes had to melt, wasn't adding more water the only thing accomplished in that step?

While she waited for the ice to melt, Hayden located her grater and a small dish. She pointed her wand at the grater. "Scourgify." Then the dish. "Scourgify." By that point, it was a routine. A necessary, and satisfying, routine. Hayden grated five of her carrots, one after the other, each into the dish. She glanced into the cauldron but the ice hadn't melted yet. Culloden said five minutes? Hayden had no idea how long it had been, hopefully not five minutes yet. Either way, she had to wait more until she could add the carrots. In the meantime, she raised her hand again. "What are the importance of the carrots? And why do some of them have to be grated and not the others?" What was the difference? Also, Hayden felt bad for all the questions but she was, as always, unable to contain her curiosity.

When she saw that the ice was almost melted, Hayden gathered the remaining five whole carrots in her hand. As soon as the ice was completely melted, she gently dropped her handful of carrots into the cauldron. She reached into the small dish and sprinkled the grated carrots over the top of the cauldron. Finally, she tied the wormwood around the knotgrass and added those to the cauldron. There, she'd done everything so far. Hopefully correctly. "Professor, why do we add carrots? They're not even magical. Also, what do the wormwood and the knotgrass do? And why does the wormwood have to be tied around the knotgrass?" If Hayden got money every time she asked a question, she'd have so much money.

Waiting the two minutes was TORTURE! Ophelia was a sort of impatient child, and the two minutes of waiting led her to thinking about finishing the potion. But quick question. Would they be testing the potion? Because if so, the teacher was obviously not thinking of the consequences. Or maybe he was and ignoring them. Hey, if he wasn't worried, neither was the eleven year old. As long as no one got into any fights, she was good.

Actually, scratch that, watching two people under the effects of a hate potion yell at each other sounded actually kind of cool. Did that make the Ravenclaw a bad person? Because she felt like a bad person right now after saying that. But not lying, Ophelia kind of really wanted to test out the potion and see what happened. Who would be the unlucky recipient of all of her youngest sibling hatred. Who would get to see her wrath? Hopefully no one.

Sighing with relief as she noticed the two minutes were up, the blonde untangled her finger from the blonde swirls around it --luckily it didn't get caught again, like at the feast- and went to get the ice cubes, bringing the appropriate amount back. And while she did that, Ophelia got to thinking.

Was potions like chemistry? Like what made all of these ingredients interact with each other? Was it basically Wizarding Chem 101? Because that totally sounded cool, she wasn't going to lie. Raising her hand as she dropped in the ice cubes and started grating the carrots, thinking of a wizard cooking show where all they made was potions. Okay, if that didn't exist, Ophelia was TOTALLY making that.

Anyway, the question.

"What makes the ingredients in the potion interact the way they do, Professor? Is potions kind of like chemistry, but with cooler ingredients and more danger?" Because seriously, what made everything interact like this? It was a burning question man, BURNING!

And that's what she thought about for the next five minutes as she waited for the ice cubes to melt. That, and the fact that if she remembered ONE spell from this year, it would be scourgify. So... thanks for that? Kind of a good spell for her parents, a not good one for someone like her. Though it was pretty cool that magic could do that. Clean things. Took a lot of weight of her shoulders when she grew up.

Also, new Frenchie. Sweet. Ophelia's sister went to France a lot for work, though the kid couldn't remember what the older girl actually DID. It was strange she hadn't seen him around, as she accompanied him on a bunch of those trips; but whatever. No big deal. Also, the fact that he spoke French was really REALLY cool. Maybe he could teach her how to speak French sometime. Although, maybe the blonde should work on ENGLISH first and learn to speak that language properly. But sweet, Frenchie.

And by the way, she never heard French spoken like that! It was actually pretty cool to hear everything interfused like that very fluently. Like a language learning program in their own classroom! Yeah, she wasn't writing about the older kid in her letters home. Knowing her father, he'd write the French dude himself and ask for some language lessons for his darling daughter. Barf.

Also, kid asking questions? You rocked. Because most of those questions were things that Ophelia wanted to know, but didn't want to ask. Rock on kid. Rock on. Eagerly anticipating the answers, the firstie looked around, having added everything needed. Except the tied together root thing. Okay, that was completely needed. But why? Wasn't that one of his questions? Okay, that was something that really needed to be answered.

Looking between the clock and her paper, Lux recorded the next steps for the potion as she waited the two minutes. Getting up from her seat, she took ten ice cubes, and added them to her cauldron at the same time.

The ice needed to melt, so in the meantime she set aside five carrots and began to grate them. Once that was done, she saw that the ice was all melted and added the ungrated carrots before sprinkling the grated ones on top.

Tying the wormwood around her knotgrass, Lux added it to the cauldron as well.

Ingredients

Ethan tilted his head, with a weird grin on his face. The prefect mouthed the words Gregoire said, wondering what the heck was ‘mon ami’. Merci was thank you, because duh. Basic French…but the rest? He was lost. “You’re welcome, Greg.” Ethan said as he nodded at the boy.

He still got a minute to spare, so he watched the younger Slytherin add the ingredients in his cauldron. Satisfied that Gregoire got everything under control now, Ethan leaned closer and said, “Tres bien!” to encourage his housemate. Turning around, he nudged Grayson gently on the side to get his attention. “I will definitely need you as a translator. Or maybe teach me how to speak French fluently.” To impress the ladies, riiiiiight? The prefect glanced around and caught Ruby looking at him. He grinned at her, then turned to his half Frenchie buddy. Ethan gave Grayson a wink and moved on with his potion.

Blink.

See? Gregoire would lose his head if he didn’t start right away. Merlin, it looks like Culloden wasn’t in the mood to teach based on the instructions given. Pursing his lips, Ethan concentrated on the task at hand and proceeded with caution. After he cleaned his container, the prefect got up and got himself 10 ice cubes, and shortly after returning to his work station, he carefully added all ice cubes in his cauldron. He got all ten carrots and divided them into two batches. The first five carrots were grated as he kept an eye on the ice cubes. Once he was done grating the first batch of carrots, he set those aside and checked if his ice cubes were…melted. Already? Shrugging, the prefect added the second batch of whole carrots inside his cauldron with the melted ice, then sprinkled his solution with the grated ones he did earlier. He then carefully tied the wormwood around the knotgrass and added those too inside his cauldron.

He shrugged and poured the whole thing in. They didn't seem to melt fast anytime soon. He needed to grate five of his carrots. He needed to clean the carrots first. He sighed and got his wand and said, "Scourgify!" and then all his carrots were squeaky clean. Then he cleaned his grater in the process. He then took one carrot and grated the pieces into a bowl to keep them in a safe place. After he did the four other carrots, he needed to add the others in.

He took the other carrots the ones that were not grated and placed them in his cauldron all at once. Then he took his shavings and sprinkled them on. So he needed to wait five minutes for the ice to melt. He waited and was humming a tune. After what seemed like four minutes, he noticed the ice was melting! Awesome his potion was a complete fail after all! He grinned and then he heard the last instruction.

He needed to tie the wormwood around knotgrass. He could do that. He got his wormwood and knotgrass and tied them together. Then he added it in and waited for the next set of instructions from the professor.

David had liked potions quite a bit the past few years, so hopefully that would still continue even at Hogwarts.

And so far so good, really. He wasn't too big on the type of potion they were brewing, but he supposed it was at least good for practice and such. So no problems from him.

And he did write his name - 'David Hensley' - down because the professor should definitely learn his name and remember it. Because he was awesome. Yep.

But time to start the potion and note-taking.

After jotting some things down, he quickly cleaned his cauldron and both of his gloves with Scourgify before slipping the gloves on and placing the jobberknoll feather in the cauldron. Super easy first step that was.

Should he clean his gloves each time he had to pick up an ingredient? ...Eh, why not. Didn't take long anyway.

So he Scourgify'd his glove again, then picked up the half of the unicorn hair and carefully placed it on the feather as instructed. Then he grabbed a measuring cup to make sure he'd get an actual litre since he didn't have it memorized by sight or anything. The cup was cleaned with Scourgify then filled with water with Aguamenti until it reached the little line that indicated a meter.

After that was poured into the cauldron, Scourgify was used once again, this time on the knife and on his glove, and he cut off the three leeches' heads and those went into the cauldron one by one.

Another Scourgify, now on the metal stick, David carefully stirred the mixture in a clockwise direction one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten times. Then the stick was taken out and Scourgify'd once again. And then the knife and glove were cleaned again too.

Merlin, if someone didn't know how to perform that spell, they'd definitely be getting a lot of practice now. Phew.

He cut off half the ginger root and carefully dropped one half into the mixture, setting the other half aside.

Two minute wait now...

....

He might've started humming the Jeopardy song in his head, which probably wasn't the best idea...

BUT two minutes were finally up.

He Scourgify'd his gloves before grabbing the ten cubes, bringing them back to his station, and dropping them all in. His gloves (again) and the grater were cleaned and then he began grating five of the carrots while he waited for the ice to melt. Which didn't seem to take all that long really, but maybe that was just because he had been occupied with the carrots.

Anyway, he quickly added the five not-grated carrots then sprinkled the grated ones over that.

Once again, he Scourgify'd his gloves and set to work tying the wormwood around the knotgrass. Seemed a little tricky, but he succeeded after a couple attempts. Then those were added too.

Hate Potion

Note: Make sure to clean everything before use!

Ingredients
- one jobberknoll feather (added)
- half a unicorn tail hair (added)
- three leech heads (added)
- half a ginger root (added)
- ten carrots (added)
- a bunch of knotgrass (added)
- one wormwood (added)
- ten crow feathers
- one common spider
- two crocodile teeth

Steps:
1. Add the jobberknoll feather without any water or fire.
2. Lay half the unicorn hair onto the feather vertically.
3. Add a litre of water.
4. Add the leech heads one by one.
5. With a metal stick, stir it clockwise for ten times (Clean the metal stick before and after using).
6. Add half the ginger root.
7. Wait for two minutes.
8. Add ten cubes of ice all at once.
9. Wait until they melt and grate five of the carrots in the meantime. Add the ungrated ones at once, and sprinkle the grated ones.
10. Tie the wormwood around the knotgrass and add them.
