To the right of the barnyard exterior you notice the many pens sectioned and fenced holding many creatures. Housed in each of the pens are the X-XXX rated creatures, from infants to adult-sized. On a shelf immediately beside the door are dragon hide gloves and goggles. Hanging beside the gates, are pink polka-dotted colored aprons and jumpsuits (in case you want to keep your current clothes clean). On the other side of the door are temperature maintained bottles and feed that is charmed to regenerate on its own when low enough. Once you're allowed, feel free to give your hand at caring.
Following the increasing cold conditions outdoors, the still-living creatures from the Playpens have been moved to the Room of Requirement for their own safety. Only those with the desire to see and care for the following surviving baby creatures; Puffskeins, Nifflers, Fwoopers, Jarveys, Fire crabs, Kneazles are able to enter.
OH MY GOSH. Tag kept getting more and more attacked by the stinkin worms. First one got thrown at him, then he got mucus all over his hands and now he got mucus SHOT at him. Could this get any worse for him? He's gonna be going back to the common room all slimy and sticky. "I'm not squeamish..." Tag said giving her a small look for laughing at his misfortune. "This is just disgusting. I keep getting mucus attacked!" Really. He hadn't signed up for this, but he technically did when he decided to help Zahra out.
The goodness of his heart.
She was grabbing more worms. Ok. Tag took a handful and put him near his shoes. Hopefully Zahra would keep to her own and NOT attack Tag anymore.
No, she didn't look like a claw. Claws liked to experiment, right? Or maybe that was a particular claw. "I suppose not. And good going too, the more house points we can get the better for us." Seriously, now that was smart. Tag gave her a little point of the finger. "I'm sure you have brilliant answers. The professor's probably don't give it to you because its so awesome it'll be unfair to the other students when you get a bunch of points." Tag said in a slightly teasing manner.
"What's the deal?" he asked. It wasn't any of his business though, so Zahra didn't have to answer.
Zahra bit back a "YOU ARE TOO" to his denial of squeamish-hood. BUT HE SO WAS! hahaha .... and she held back the urge to show him what a REAL MUCUS ATTACK would be. He only got squirted a little.
Man... being good was so hard. She just laughed at him again, clearly holding back. Restraints on!
"Yeah.... yeah we've been in DEAD last since place since I got to Hogwarts. Me and Toussaint." COINCIDENCE? hahaha Oops. "We're WAY overdue for a CUP." Zahra was doing flobberworms with BOTH hands now, SQUEEEEZING the mucus into the jar. No gloves, no squeamish.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh what? "You really think that?" Zahra WAS BEAMING WITH SO MUCH PRIDE. Here sat a big, old SEVENTH YEAR... going on about her AWESOME? She actually blushed, in and about her HUGE GRIN. "Thanks.. I mean.... hehe... hehe..." Whew in spite of the FRIGID COLD, Zahra's cheeks were on fire.
"Deal with my parents. I have to EARN so many house points in order to EARN time with Toussaint." Mikey Toussaint that was. "Like, okay, ten points this week means I get to go on a date or whatever." ....and that was kind of embarrassing, too, only adding a layer of red to the already blushed-out Gryffindor.

Haha. We saw the red in Zahra's face but Tag thought not of mentioning it, lucky. "Yes, I really think so. Your Professor's just can't handle the awesome that you radiate. They probably get too distracted by your awesome and forget to put in your points." Cause that sounded totally legit. Her reaction was one Tag hadn't expected but he simply gave her a "You're welcome" in return.
Then Zahra was telling him about the deal. "That sounds ridiculous. They're not even here to make sure if you're getting your points or not. You should be able to go on dates whenever you want." Seriously. What type of deal was that? And when she said 'earn time with Toussaint' did she mean "Mikey?" Because that was the only Toussaint Tag knew.

In the end, the jar was half full - but Zahra looked like she had stuck her head in Flobberworm Ocean. "If it makes Professor T a profit, then I'm in. I like him." So you know, anything for him.

FACE. ALL THE FACE. What had Zahra done to her hair? Yes, Tag brought up the whole 'let's make this into a product' thing, but had Zahra actually tested it on herself. This whole time they could've gotten unsuspecting little first years to do the job for them. "What're you doing?!" He said slightly panicked. "Product testing should be used on first years. Not yourself." Her hair. Her hair was a mess. That tug a string in Tag's heart. "Yeah, profit, right. I like him too, but I wouldn't go to the lengths of actually putting that stuff in my own hair." That took guts. Probably the gryffindor in her.
Yes, we felt that poke, but there was nothing casual about it. She even said she'd write to him about Tag. Tag didn't want to be on the minister's bad side. Then what if Saxon got in trouble? She worked in the ministry. "Please don't. My sister works in the ministry. I don't want her to get in trouble if your dad thinks I'm up with nonsense." Pleading much, Kildare? Yes. "Snogs are good, though." Cough. "Dad's just don't like the idea of their little girl being and having a boyfriend. Natural for them." He said. Nothing for Zahra to worry over.

Cris had been worried about the creatures that were held in the Playpens. The cold weather had been getting so much worse that he was afraid they would freeze to death. So he was glad to discover that the animals were safely up here in the Room Of Requirement.
He had somehow found it...mostly on luck...and walked in...to the glorious smell of creatures. They were alive. The first creatures he immediately headed for were the Puffskeins, since they were making the most noise.
Cris sat down in the middle of the group of them and pulled all of them onto his lap. He reached into his pocket and searched to see whether he had anything to feed them. But finding nothing, he gently placed the Puffskeins back on the ground before getting up.
He looked around until he found what he thought looked like a food bin and walked over towards it.

Alarmed, Cris quickly scrambled away only to discover that the Salamanders had no interest in him whatsoever. They had noticed their fire burning nice and hot and had come to warm up. Cris smiled. At least for now, these Salamanders were happy campers.

Hopefully she would be able to assist him in caring or the animals. Jasmine wondered how they were adjusting to their new home. It couldn't be fun to be cooped up in a room when you were used to living outside. Of course when outside was freezing, inside was probably better.

The moment Jasmine saw Cris' face, she knew that something was terribly wrong. He seemed distraught and then she found out why. When Cris said that this was all that was left of the playpen animals her hand went to her mouth. Seeing the tears in his eyes and knowing how much he cared for those animals made it that much worse. Jasmine couldn't help it. She felt the tears starting to fill her eyes and she didn't try to stop them. Those poor animals.......Jasmine couldn't believe they had lost so many.
Jasmine didn't know what to do. She just went over to Cris and wrapped her arms around him. Hugging him tightly, she said, "I'm so sorry.""I didn't know. What can we do for the survivors? We have to do our best to keep them healthy and happy."

Then he took in a deep breath and released it before leaning back to look at her. "These here are all babies, so that means that they now no longer have their parents to feed them. We're going to have to do that instead," Cris turned to look at all the baby creatures in the temporary pens.
"I was about to feed the Puffskeins. Would you like to help? You can feed any of the others too. I expect that they will all need feeding," Cris suggested as he took Jasmine's hand and led her to the food bin.
"Looks like this is where Professor Thompson keeps the food," Cris told Jasmine as he reached in and pulled out a lettuce head.
"Thank goodness the Puffskeins eat almost anything," Cris managed a smile.

Jasmine was happy to see Cris laugh and she hoped that the baby animals would lift his spirits even further. Allowing Cris to lead her to the Puffskeins, he helped her down and she sat on the ground. Then she picked up some lettuce and began tearing off small pieces. Jasmine smiled when one of the baby puffs came over and sat in her lap. She handed him a piece of lettuce and watched while he nibbled on the leaf. Jasmine put more pieces of lettuce on the ground in different locations, hoping to attract some hungry babies.
Looking over at Cris, Jasmine felt nothing but love for her kind, caring, incredible boyfriend. The little puff in her lap was apparently still hungry, so Jasmine gave him another piece of lettuce to eat. "What else do they like to eat?", she asked Cris.

Cris turned to look at Jasmine when she asked what else the Puffskeins loved to eat. He tried to keep a straight face but failed. "Boogers," he revealed laughing as he did so. "...and if I had continued crying, I'm sure I would have plenty to feed them with....that sounds so gross," Cris could help but scrunch his face just at the thought of feeding....
....and on to other pleasant food.
"Well they are the proverbial trash bin. They will eat almost anything and besides what I mentioned earlier, they also love spiders. The smaller versions ," Cris quickly added. "So if you have a spare leftover sandwich or even some fruit, they'll eat it."
"That one on your lap seems to have taken a liking for you. Can't blame it. You are the most beautiful, kind and caring person I know," Cris smiled lovingly at his girlfriend.

Ohhhhhh, she had to ask. "That is about the grossest thing I ever heard. Really? I think I'll just stick with the leftovers." Jasmine didn't even want to think about how the Puffskeins retrieved their.....um......dinner of choice.
Looking down at the cute puff in her lap, Jasmine said, "I think I'll call my new friend "Lucky" because he certainly was." When Cris said the kind words to her, Jasmine blushed. Looking back at her boyfriend, she said, "Right back at ya baby." Well he was all those things and more.

....and that thought alone brought him to another thought process. "Hmm...I wonder how many of them are males and how many of them are females. From what I've read the bigger, more colorful, higher squeaky sounding ones are the females. They are also the ones with the longer tongues, although that is really hard to tell since all these guys here seem to have awfully long tongues," Cris stuck out his own tongue looked down cross eyed at it before looking over at the Puffskein that was grabbing the lettuce bits off the floor.
"Yep most definitely longer tongues. Want to hazard a guess which ones are which?" Cris wiggled his eyebrows at Jasmine, breaking into a grin as he did so. "That way you won't make a mistake and end up giving girly names to the manly Puffskeins."

It is hard to tell the difference. It's hard to differentiate between long tongues and longer tongues. They all look long to me." Just then, Jasmine had an awful mental picture and it was an image that she did not care to see. She laughed at Cris trying to see his tongue. Now that was a funny visual.
"You know having a girly name isn't the worst thing that could happen to them. They may want to get in touch with their feminine side." Jasmine stroked Lucky's fur and gave her another lettuce leaf. Turning back to Cris, she asked him,"Do you have a favorite animal here in the playpens?"
