Feel like looking at some stars? You've come to the right place. From here in the Hogwarts Observatory you can see a tiny fraction of the 400 billion or so stars found in the Milky Way Galaxy. This circular but spacious room has been locked and opened as many times as there have been Astronomy professors staffed at the school. The huge telescope that former Hogwarts Astronomy professor, Professor Anteres, had put in years ago is still here and fully operable. Students are very welcome to try and use it. If you need a hand Professor Flamsteed is always somewhere close by and can lend you assistance. If the giant telescope is too much there is always smaller telescopes stored away in the cupboards around the room which you can borrow and use as you please as well as other astronomy objects.
Large star charts are pinned to the walls which anyone is free to study for own leisure or school assignment. Don't try and take the charts down though, as they are charmed to warn if somebody tries to remove them.
Stargazing is an activity best practiced at night and therefore the observatory remains unlocked. Students adhere by a curfew and after that hour no students should be found out of bed. If you desire to study the heavens after curfew, you need a signed note from Professor Flamsteed showing that you are allowed to stay up after hours. If caught after hours without a signed note you can expect that there will be consequences like loss of house points or detention.
The observatory is place for scientific inquiry much like the library is a place to immerse yourself in books, since it’s a shrine to our massively beautiful universe. Please respect any teacher or student spending time in the observatory by not running around or shouting in high pitched voices. Just because Professor Flamsteed isn't currently in the observatory doesn't mean he isn't watching what is going on.
OOC: you do not HAVE to RP your character asking permission from Professor Flamsteed in his office before posting here after hours and may pretend that you received permission. Also, please keep in mind that while looking at the stars can be a romantic endeavor, that is not the purpose of the observatory and any mischief may result in points being deducted or detention.
"You know," Zahra began as her and Mikey ascended into the Observatory, "Mum isn't Cope's mum. She's just mine and Plym's," which Mikey probably knew? It wasn't all that important since Zahra's mum had adopted ...everyone as her own,but particularly Copernicus... but still. Z's Mum was NOT Copey's mum.
"And like.... his REAL mum died in a place like this? She got struck my lightning or something. WILD, right?" Zahra asked as she actually took out parchment to try and do .... something Astronomy-ish. Zahra was desperate for House Points so she'd dragged Mikey up here. That Airey dude was probably crazy enough TO give them points.
Zahra loved to tell him things he already knew. Michael had a feeling she did it to make sure that he was listening to what she was saying. Not that she would ever let him ignore her. He nodded his head about the information in regards to her mum and Cope.
"Not sure wild is the word I would use." He said dryly but with a hint of amusement in his eyes. The woman had died after all.
Michael looked at Zahra and raised an eyebrow as she took out some parchment but he said nothing about it. Instead he walked over to the edge of the tower's wall and peered over it. "Have you ever seen the muggles jump off tall buildings? I want to try that." He would need to buy a parachute first.

MEANTIME, Zahra was folding up the paper this way and that and had dug out a handful of worn out and ragged colored pencils.
Z's turn to give the looks. Jump off....? Haha. "You better wait 'til we're of age. Or when you're with your Uncle Adri." Who.... could get them INTO and OUT OF trouble at his leisure. Mikey's Uncle Adri was *REALLY* really cool like that. REALLY cool. Zahra kindof wanted to be like him. Kind of.

THAT comment about Hogsmeade... gave Zahra a pause. She hadn't at all thought of that, not at ALL. Most stuff rolled off of her like water on a duck's back, but she was feeling the weight of THAT statement, that truth. "Then we just won't go, I guess. Or you can go with friends... if you want." HUGE BUMMER OF A THOUGHT. "We've been pretty good though.... I mean better than usual.........".......
Bored Peeves made his way through the castle and up into the Astronomy Tower, coming to the observatory. Mischief was on his mind and he thought the perfect place would be to use the telescopes.
As he got up into the tower he noticed two students there. This was Peeves lucky day.
"Oh lookie lookie students kissing in the tower. No no no that isn't allowed. Peeves should tell on you he should."
He cackled as he floated closer to them.
"Are we writing love notes too. STUDENTS KISSING IN THE OBSERVATORY. STUDENTS KISSING IN THE OBSDERVATORY."
Cackling he moved closer snatching the paper from the girl.
"Got your note" He waved it around over her head.

Kace decided it was time to go to the observatory. He had never been here before. He was excited to look at some stars with one of his best friends he had known at Hogwarts. He wondered if Bay was gonna come here too. If he didn't come it wasn't a big deal. But he managed to climb the stairs and make it to the top. It was gorgeous up here. It was a clear night, so he was able to see all the stars. He smiled and knew it was gonna be fun.
He decided to check out the telescope while waiting for Lux. It seemed clean and all ready to go.

Just being honest with him. "You know the spell to focus, right?" Because if he had forgotten, she could help him with that.

Floating just above the children Peeves kept the note in view. Cackling as the boy took out his wand.
"Want this back do you? Peeves should read it he should."
Opening the note he grinned at them both wickedly, which did not change even when the girl said about the boy kissing him. No students lips were going on him. Clearing his throat he put a hand to his just for dramatics.
"Oh my dearest. My love burns for you. How can I prove to you how much I love thee. Let me prove to you my love by covering you with kisses in the Astronomy Tower. OH SEE IT'S ALL RIGHT HERE!! STUDENTS KISSING IN THE TOWER... STUDENTS KISSING IN THE TOWER!"
Shredding the not in his hands he let it fall like confetti into their hair as he continued to make kissy noises around them.

Bay had just decided to go for a walk.. he was bored and he had some free time so there was no harm in checking out the school. Making his way up to the Observatory he hasn't been here since last year while he was doing homework.
He opened the door and spotted Lux and Kace, "I wonder what they are doing?" walking over to them, Kace's back was to him he walked real slow because if Lux looked his way he wanted to make sure she got the hint that he was going to scare Kace..
Creeping up slowly and trying to be quite as possible he reached Kace's back
"BOOOOOOOOO"
He yelled while grabbing Kace's shoulders to add to the effect.

Kace was still looking and he jumped so high. He turned around quickly and put his hand over his heart. "Bloody Hell Bay.." he said breathing fast. "You scared me really good." he chuckled giving it to him. He wished he could have done that to Lux come to think of it. After his heart rate was at a steady rate he asked, "How have you been mate?"

"You scared me really good." he chuckled giving it to him. He wished he could have done that to Lux come to think of it. After his heart rate was at a steady rate he asked, "How have you been mate?"
"That sounds good to me, Penguin." Lux was sure that Kace would come up with an awesome nickname for her. She already had so many of them now, after only one year at Hogwarts. Aah, her friends and boyfriend were the best.
And speaking of boyfriend, what was he doing creeping around? Raising her brow, she was about to inquire into this when she caught on. Right, time to pretend he wasn't there. "You don't know the spell? Professor Flamsteed would be SO disappointed in you." Tut tut. Giving him a wink, she waited for Bay to strike.
Oh, man. That was classic. Laughing so hard, she fell down on her butt. "Oh my gosh. Your face. Hahahaha!!" Sweet Merlin, that was funny.
Floating just above the children Peeves kept the note in view. Cackling as the boy took out his wand.
"Want this back do you? Peeves should read it he should."
Opening the note he grinned at them both wickedly, which did not change even when the girl said about the boy kissing him. No students lips were going on him. Clearing his throat he put a hand to his just for dramatics.
"Oh my dearest. My love burns for you. How can I prove to you how much I love thee. Let me prove to you my love by covering you with kisses in the Astronomy Tower. OH SEE IT'S ALL RIGHT HERE!! STUDENTS KISSING IN THE TOWER... STUDENTS KISSING IN THE TOWER!"
Shredding the not in his hands he let it fall like confetti into their hair as he continued to make kissy noises around them.

As Peeves continued to float around the two he noticed the girl dancing around saying about him kissing the boy. Peeves kissing a fleshy? His cackles grew louder.
"Peeves doesn't kiss just anyone, but maybe I'll make an exception. Yes just this once."
His grin grew as he floated lower "Pucker up you"
Though he pointed at the girl and quickly flew threw her. Cackling loudly and echoing the observatory Peeves made his exit and went to find something else to do in the castle.

Michael stood glancing between his girlfriend and the poltergeist as they both decided on who he was supposed to kiss. He stretched out his arms toward Peeves beckoning him forward because he knew that the Poltergeist would not go through with it.
And thank Merlin he didn't.
Once the annoying little man had gone, Michael turned his attention back to Zahra. "Thank Merlin, he's gone." He dropped his hands by his sides and grinned. "I must say though, you were quite keen to pass me off to the pesky poltergeist." He raised an eyebrow at her. "Am I always going to be kissing our way out of trouble?" Hahahahahaha.

His arms immediately snaked around her waist the moment she leaned against him, drawing her even closer to him. These were the moments that Michael loved the most with Zahra when it was just the two of them simply talking and taking comfort in each other.
"Well it managed to get rid of Peeves. Obviously it depends on the person." Michael was sure that it was only their families that had a problem with them kissing. He took Zahra's lead though and decided to worry about that later. And he couldn't help but laugh, he had been waiting for that comment. "Aww party pooper, I was thinking Myrtle could do with a good snog."
Bwahahaha! Michael gave her a small poke with his finger. "And you're obviously doing it wrong. When you throw a punch, you need to put your body into it." He kissed the top of her head. "Do you want me to teach you?"
