It's a known fact that fire and paper isn’t a good combination. The library has therefore always featured a sparse number of torches on the walls to minimize the danger to the books. On test this year the torches have been replaced by enchanted firefly lamps. A good number of stained glass windows grace the walls at regular intervals where the room is connected to the outside wall of the castle to ensure that adequate light comes in. Stretching from floor to ceiling these windows depict famous witches and wizards from history, important historical events and beautifully detailed magical creatures or at least that is what you should see.

Come sit down and relax in one the cushioned window seats. Read a book under the warm gaze of a healer or the roaring growl of a dragon. According to legend work gets completed faster if you sit in Rowena Ravenclaw’s window so why not try if there is any truth to it? The glass in the windows can’t be broken by spells or physical force but please be mindful and respectful of the beautiful artwork. Remember to keep your voice down since many people come to the library to study or get a moment or two of quiet.

It was quite possible that this was Cat's favorite place at Hogwarts. At least inside the castle, anyway. Away from the common room and all, but still, okay, one of the very favorites. She was sitting on a window seat with her back against the wall and her legs stretched out to prop on Elodie's lap (because best friends didn't mind being leg cushions, right?) and her head resting against the window, staring up at the prettyness of the glass. "When I have my own house I want windows like these in it." She decided, lifting her head to tilt it in Elodie's direction. "Don't you just think that would be perfect?" Cat did, anyway.

She glanced back at the window and considered it. "Maybe not a dragon one though."

Ok. So....this was the library. Tag couldn't even remember having gone here before. Had he? He couldn't remember. And if he had gone here before he must of been lots and lots of years younger, cause he honestly didn't recognize much.

It was Newts year so yeah, studying. The blonde glanced around the library trying to find a good place to 'study' and eventually decided on taking one of the cushioned window seats. Ok. Textbook out, now opened. Read, read, read... Ok, this was boring. Tag closed the book again and just closed his eyes. He'll stay here a bit to give the illusion that he had been productive in studying.

Kace went to the library. He was supposed to meet Tag here. He hadn't hung out with him in a while. As Kace made it to the library, he noticed Tag was there. The book was closed and his eyes were shut. He smirked and commented, "Hey i know i am not the one to judge but to study shouldn't your book be opened?"

He saw him still closing his eyes and waiting for his answer.

Best friend time was making settling back into the year at school much easier, and Els was thankful that she had such a nice best friend that would drop things at a moments notice and spend time with her when she needed it. She had her arms rested on her best friends legs, and too had her head resting against the glass. Unlike Caterina, Elodie wasn't looking at the colours or the glass at all and was just watching her bestie like a normal person. Nothing creepy or anything. Just watching and being thankful and enjoying the company. "I bet we could make our own, you know... For your house. We could put a mermaid in one and a shark in the other. I bet we could do them ourselves. If we learnt." It would mean more best friend time and a new skill? Maybe. It was always just an idea. Might even be fun. If not... Elodie was sure she could find a small one somewhere for a birthday present for Catty.

"I also want a zoo in my backyard, okay? And a pool." Ooooh! A BIG pool!

Being the taller one had less advantages when they were sat like this. The difference wasn't as noticeable, as Elodie's height came more from her legs than her torso. There was a slight difference, but it definitely wasn't all of the inches that it usually was. Els leant her cheek onto Cat's head and smiled. "I think we could find something. I bet if I ask Candice she'll look around for us." Maybe they could do it next summer. Make things for one another and promise that the whole thing with not being at school wouldn't affect their friendship. This thing was for life. "Of course. A pool and a zoo for you."

She smiled softly and squished her bestie. "A super awesome house for a super awesome best friend."

Kace chuckled and agreed with him. "Fair enough dude.." he said still looking at his book. When Tag offered for him to take a seat, he sat down on the chairs near the stain glass window. It was quite a piece of art. The cushion was actually quite comfy in his opinion. When Tag mentioned him teaching him something, Kace chuckled and shook his head. "Oh no no, i do not need to be taught anything yet. We just got back and i do not want school information absorbed into my brain yet.." he winked. "I just wanted a nice meeting place we both knew how to get to, to like you know chill." he shrugged.

"How have you been mate?" he asked him while he was getting out his favorite game to play with his friends. He knew Tag would ask, so Kace cleared the air. "Have you ever heard of this card game called UNO?"

The blonde watched Kace sit down and then take out something and..... OH MY GOSH. UNO! "I've been good. Just hanging about at the grounds every now and then, playing with my kneazle." Relaxing before all the piles of homework made his way. But "I have heard of UNO. I've played it a couple of times back home. I enjoy the game." True. That game never got boring. Simple, yet, with the plot twists of how the game went, it would never get boring. "Are we gonna play it?" Because Tag totally wouldn't mind.

Cat sat still and thought about that for a moment, "Stained glass window making classes? Would she look? Maybe she would go with us and we can have a girls day with it." Cause Candice seemed like she had fun girls days. Shopping and other fun things that adults got to go out and do while kids were stuck at school. They were going to be awesome adults. They basically already were.

"I'll make sure there's a fabulous guest room for you to stay in when you visit me." Which needed to be like... every day, or maybe at least four times a week. Right?

He met him Kneazle at the train station. "I remember meeting your little guy...where is he?" he asked looking around. Kace beamed when he knew about UNO. "Of course we are gonna play!" he said taking his card deck out.

He sat down on the floor and shuffled the deck. After his shuffling skills were shown, he dealt out six cards for each of them. Then he looked through them and once satisfied. He put his deck down and picked another card from the other deck as their starting card. It was a red 2. "You go Mr. Tag.." he offered.

Anyway Tag took his six cards and glanced at them then looked at the starting card Kace had used. Grimacing, Tag reached for the deck of cards until he found a red or two card. Now he had nine cards, and set a red one on top of the starting card. Eight in his hand now." Let's see who wins this game." Tag said smiling at the other blonde.

"Woops dude, my bad. It is Stella! I will have that ingrained to my brain. She is probably just exploring like i would.." he shrugged. "I mean we explored that tree house, she is just taking after her owner." he grinned.

"Oh it is soo on!" he said grinning. He took two cards as well, he miscounted. "Woops mate sorry i miss counted. We needed 7 cards each." he grinned sheepishly. Once Kace picked up his card, he realized it was a red. He put down his red 3 and said, "Your turn Tag.." with a grin. He got a good deck this time.

Elodie nodded, and strummed her fingers on her best friends leg just to pass the time and keep her hands from pinching at Cat's legs like she pinched at her own sometimes. "I bet people do it. They have to learn somewhere." Right? Or was it something people went to university to learn? She wasn't doing that. She had healer dreams to achieve at some point in her future. Whether it be after school or after a few years travelling, she wasn't sure yet. "I'm sure she'd come with us if we asked. I bet she'd find a hot guy that'd teach us." That...was how Elodie had gotten a lot of things from her sister over the past few years.

"And you'll want me over all of the time, right?" Because..she was going to be there all the time. For food, hugs and generally just best friend time. Gossiping and celebrating being free of all the idiots here in the castle.

Vesper was sat on one of the cushioned window seats, her ever!present notebook in hand. Today was an interesting day. She'd found great inspiration this morning in the Room of Requirement and after some deliberation, had decided that a sketch needed to happen. Not a sketch of said inspiration, but of the beautiful stained glass window she current sat under.

Creative outlet, you know?

It was so fun to sketch dragons, too. Naturally, she'd chosen that particular window. The Antipodean Opaleye occupying it's glassy frames just made her feel better about life.

...and she was suddenly being squished, which was okay! Upon further inspection, it was just West. He was one of her favorite people...and therefore, that constituted him being able to do what others could not.

Not that she ever said no to squishes...

Since he was there, Vesper went ahead and snuggled up to him, continuing her dragon!sketch. "What do you think?" She flashed her grayscale'd Opaleye.

West took a good look, casting a critical eye over her sketch. "Hey, you're getting better at this." Definitely. He'd not done much with his own art since he'd picked up a guitar and essentially not put one down, but West had always had an eye for such things. She'd come far even in the last year or so.

She GRINNED at Elodie and nudged her legs off of the other girl, standing and gathering up her things. "Of course so, dummy. What else would I do with my time other than spending it with my very best friend?" Teach stained glass making classes? Swim with sharks?

Yeah right, like anyone was going to let Cat swim with sharks.

She hooked her arm through Elodie's and tugged her up with all her might, "C'mon, giant person. I want food." And as soon as they got out of the library, she was going to jump on Elodie's back and have her carry her to the kitchen.

Goooing, going, gone! FOOD TIME!

The first part of what he'd said...was completely overshadowed by the last bit. Vesper eyed West carefully.

He looked serious.

"...You did say that." She nodded at him slowly, a small frown in place. The sketch she'd been meticulously working just moments before lay forgotten in her lap. Clearly, she hadn't anticipated this question...but rolling with it, she was.

Her blush was inevitable, too. "If you think that's what's best, I trust you.".....and because it needed to be made clear, Ves added, "Nothing ridiculous and lovey-dovey, though. I won't be able to take you seriously."

Mhm. Back to inspecting her sketch...and trying to make the blush....diminish somewhat.
