As Kace was making his way to the famous puff table, he carried his two containers of grilled cheese. He wondered if Lux would be able to guess the right one. We shall see! As he saw the little redhead sitting there, he took his seat next to her and began the taste test. "Alright Miss Cucumber, let's try our dishes..." he said opening his tupperware first. He opened the one with the Kenaz fire. Let's see if she can guess it. "Ladies first..." he grinned.

There he was!

Happily Lux smiled at her friend. "hey! That looks delicious," she said as she saw the first batch of grilled cheese. Eagerly removing it from the container, she took a bite.

It took no time at all for her to be finished because she was hungry. "Lay the next one on me." Grabbing her glass of pumpkin juice, she took a sip.

Kace smiled and grinned. He was glad she liked it. "I made Grilled Cheese with Bacon bits in it incase you were wondering." Then he laid out the second sandwich in which he made it from the muggle oven. He opened the tupperware for her and said, "Bon Appetit!" Then he looked over at her food and wondered what she cooked. But he didn't want to be rude and let her finish her food.

Bacon bits? So that would explain why she could have sworn she tasted bacon in the sandwiches. "Interesting. I've never heard of that before. It's quite tasty." Lux liked grilled cheese and she liked bacon, so it was a win win situation.

Taking the other bit of grilled cheese, she started eating that as well. In a few minutes she was done and could venture a guess. "Was the second one using the Rune?"

Woah she did love it. "Right? I will cook them again and taste them myself."When she ventured her guess he grinned and said, "Noooo the first one was. The second one I used in the muggle oven." He did trick her. "I think I tricked you." He must have cooked them really well to not let her tell the difference.

Kace made her laugh when he talked about making them again and trying them himself. "So you never had it before?" She assumed that he had but she realized that maybe some people were making dishes that they never tried before. Rather adventurous of Kace.

She had guessed wrong? Oh well. "I guess that's one for two since I got Zander's right." Mmmmm, she could go for some more mac and cheese right about now.

"Okay, my turn now!" Moving one of the containers in front of him, she waited for him to dig in. It was the one she had made in the Kitchens.

"No I have not had it before! I mean I thought I would try out a new recipie. I am glad it was good. You were my trial run." he chuckled. He was glad he didn't poison her. Anyways back to the food. Oh? She guessed Zander's right? Hmm...interesting. Now he saw Lux bring her tupperware close to him. He heard his stomach growl. "Down boyy.." he told his stomach. "Now this is the spaghetti and marinara sauce..." he said licking his lips. He ate it and devoured it. "Yummm sooo good..." he said finishing his last spoonful. "Now was that using the kenaz fire?" he asked.

Oh gosh. Haha. "So I was your guinea pig then?" That was funny. She had never been a guinea pig before. At least it hadn't made her feel sick or anything. "Well, it was a very good trial run." So he should be proud of himself; she sure was proud of him!

It was nice to see how eagerly he was eating her dish. It must have been delicious, but he was jumping ahead of himself. "You aren't supposed to ask yet, silly. Not until you try the other one first." Shaking her head in amusement, she held the second batch out for him to try. THIS one was made with the Rune, but he wasn't to know that of course.

"Yeah I think you were.." he grinned. "Oh well I am glad you enjoyed it. I will make it again for sure." he nodded. Maybe he can have Emmy, Cinnamon and Bay try it. Oh woops....he thought he needed to guess it after every dish. "My badd cucumber.." he said and grabbed the plate she gave him. "Alright let's see how this puppy is.." he said digging into the spaghetti. Yummmyyy it tasted better than the first one. He wondered now. "Alright I think I am second guessing myself. But I think after trying the two dishes....the first one was made in the kitchen because the noodles weren't as good as the second dish. Even the sauce was better. I want more to be honest.."

Lux was happy to be Kace's guinea pig. She had never been one before. She gave him a thumbs up before moving on to other things. Those things being his finishing the taste test. "Wait, you just called me Cucumber." It made her laugh, because only Bay called her that up until that point. She loved being called Cucumber.

"It's okay, silly. No need to say sorry." Shrugging his apology off, she watched him eat the other container of spaghetti before making a guess. "Wow, that is totally correct!" He had guessed her dish right. Happily, she applauded him because why not.

Cris decided that he would have an early breakfast and then start working on his Divination homework assignment. He had copied down what Professor Morgan's homework instructions were in his journal but didn't have the time to thoroughly digest what was required....until now.

So two options. Make a card for a Professor with the same compatible astrological sign as he, or two, the essay option where he was supposed to pick a planet and the house it was in , find out what both said about him.

Hmmm...having already done a couple of cards in Divination class, Cris figured that the first option would be the easier of the two. Besides, let's face it, after seeing what the traits his sun and moon sign had identified about him, he didn't have much faith in the accuracy of his birth chart. Having said that, if it was however accurate, Cris had no desire to know more, especially if after a close examination of the planet and the house, the findings also proved to be just as discouraging.

So yes, a card it would be.

Cris quickly thumbed down the list, eager to see which Professor had the same compatible astrological sign as him. Virgo...Libra...who can it be? Cris already knew that Professor Morgan was a Libra and he could give her another one, if she was the only Professor that had the same signs as him, but then he came to Virgo....and his eyes opened wide first in surprise, and then in horror.

Professor Bellaire was also a Virgo!!

Cris couldn't quite believe his luck. Of all the staff in Hogwarts, he had to have the same compatible astrological sign as Professor Bellaire!!

Hmmm...the second option was sounding better right about now.

In the middle of listening to music in the Technology Room, Adi was struck by how hungry he was. He figured he could head back in the direction of the common room and stop by the kitchen. But naaah. Maybe he could find someone to chat with at his House table.

So to the Great Hall the boy headed, making his way straight for the Hufflepuff table. How about a nice chicken sandwich for now? Adi took a bite of one, wishing he could have listened to his music while he ate.

"Yeah of course! Why are you surprised? I mean you call me Penguin, it was about time I called you something." he shrugged telling the truth like it is. He was glad it made her laugh. He would call her that more often. Woaahh he was correct? He smiled broadly. "Yeah I kind of new the difference.." he winked. Not really it was totally on guess. Well some of them tasted difference because of the noodles and sauce. He bowed when he applaud him. "Feels great to get the homework done right?" he asked wiping his mouth with a napkin. Then he took a swig of pumpkin juice and he felt his tummy tumble. He felt a burp coming on.

BURRRPPPP!!! "Excuse me.." he said covering his mouth.

Lux found herself blushing a little. Maybe she was silly for being surprised at that. "So far only Bay has called me Cucumber. But that makes total sense, Penguin!" Everyone knew about her fondness of cucumber sandwiches; that was what gave her the nickname after all.

Haha! He was so funny. Laughing, Lux shook her head in amusement again. "Of course you knew. You are very clever." He was a smart boy that was for sure. All of her friends were so smart and her boyfriend was really smart too. "It does feel amazing. I still have to do my History of Magic homework." Ewww, . And of course she had to do her write up for the Ancient Runes, but that wouldn't take much time.

Sipping her pumpkin juice, Kace's burp surprised her and made her cough.

Leah sat down at the end of the Hufflepuff house table, setting her bag down next to her on the bench. She was really hungry, but it was perfectly normal considering that it was meal time! Breakfast was important to the second year, after all. She grabbed some eggs and sausages and started eating. Yum.

She poured herself some pumpkin juice too, remembering a particular breakfast where she choked on her toast. Leah really did not want that. Yep.

Angel looked around and beamed when she saw Leah her best friend sat down at the Hufflepuff table. "Hey Leah, you don't need that food, I have some here." Angel giggled, hopefully her friend wouldn't hate the food she had cooked. "I have 2 cupcakes." Angel held them both for her friend to see, the first one had been made by the chanting and the second one had been made by normal fire, she hoped that her friend liked them because Angel had put a lot of effort into these.

"So here you go." Angel put both cupcakes down next to Leah and waited to see if her bestie could tell the difference between where they were cooked.

Sitting alone was boring. As if Leah summoned her, Angel her bestie appeared next to her. "Hey Angel," she said, smiling. She was always glad of seeing her. And with food this time! "Yum, cupcakes! My absolute favorite." she said, taking both of them. "Wait, these for your ancient runes homework?" Leah asked. She had recently judged AJ's cookies too. "I'm expecting some good food from you." she finally bit into the first one, abandoning her plate of breakfast.

Delicious! The Hufflepuff licked her lips, and took another bite before realizing that she was supposed to think while she ate. As she chewed, she recognized the familiar extra-sweetness she had experienced with her pancakes made in the workshop. Trying to tell the difference, she ate the next cupcake, which was also nice. But it was very slightly different from the first.

"Let me guess. The second one was made in the kitchen." she said, one eyebrow up. "The first is sweeter, and the taste is stronger. But they are both REALLY good." The second year nodded. Both cupcakes were half-eaten now. "Come on, try these. You deserve to taste them." she handed Angel the cupcakes, the part not eaten facing the younger girl.

Angel smiled at Leah. "Yeah, you are right." Angel had hoped her friend would be wrong but oh well. "You are really good at guessing." Angel giggled. "You should become a food expert when you are older." Angel had already decided she was going to become an explorer, she wished that she could go exploring this summer but she doubted her mother would let her which was a shame.

"Oh you don't think I just made one of each do you." Angel giggled as she took out a food bag out of her bag. "See I've made more for myself." Angel watch her friend as she took two out of her bag and ate them. "I can see what you mean, you can tell the difference." Angel gave her friend a quick hug. "Now bestie what we doing?"

"Hoooo."

Furmy flew into the Great Hall, looking around for a few seconds for his target before swooping down to the Hufflepuff table. He might've knocked a goblet over as he landed, but other than that it was pretty smooth, and he was quite proud of it.

He set the letter in front of the boy person with another "hoo" and then eyed the sandwich in the boy's hand. Hmm. That looked yummy...but not as good as an owl treat.

He should go home so he could have some.

So he flapped his wonky little wings again and soared out of the room.

Kace grinned when she called her penguin. He was finished eating but he could go for some sweets. He reached over and found some cookies. He munched on those. "I am very clever. Hey maybee I could be a ravenclaw.." he winked. Nah he was just joking. He loved being with the puffs. Oh right! History of Magic homework. He forget about that. "Oh righttt I have to do that too.." he frowned but his cookie made him feel better and he ate it.

"Your gonna do the essay? I think I might do the option of doing a story like thing. I might have to check the notice board just to be sure.." He needed to finish his ancient runes but he would get that done in a night. As he burped he heard Lux choking. With his eyes wide he asked with a little chuckle, "Are you okay??"

Giggle. Kace as a Ravenclaw could work. "You are clever like a lot of the Ravenclaws I know, but I can't see you in any House other than Hufflepuff. I think I should be a Lion." Or more that she WANTED to be a Lion. "Professor Bentley already accepted me as one of her own." Bentley was such a wonderful woman, Lux liked her so very much.

Ugh, essays. "I think so. The last option seems the easiest for me. I just have to write about being the dragon tail and how the whole play made things easier to understand." She hated essays, but this would be a very easy one for her to write. It had been such a very fun lesson, and hopefully the other classes would be as amazing.

Beating her hand against her chest, she tried to get the choking to stop, nodding when she finally thought she had a hold on it. He had just surprised her was all.

Yay, Leah was right! She wanted to stand up and do a celebration dance or something, but that was just too embarrassing. "Huh, don't you mean I'm good at um, understanding ancient runes?" Yep, that was better. She had experience with this judging already, as she had tasted AJ's cookies and her pancakes and knew the difference. "Ooh, that does seem like an option." the Hufflepuff said, in a mockingly serious voice. But she should consider being a.. food expert.

"Yeah, I did think that you like me too much to sacrifice your breakfast." the second year said, quite truthfully. Having more food was better, though. Leah did not need to give up her unfinished cupcakes. She continued taking bites out of both. Yum. She returned Angel's brief hug, still holding the food.

"Uh, I don't know.." Leah said, finishing up the last bit of her cupcakes. She was always bad at deciding what to do next. "It's been such a long time since I went outside. It's nearly spring, and it's warmer, so.. do you want to go out and PLAY??" Leah asked her bestie.

Adi was now attacking onto his second sandwich when his attention was diverted to the sound of something being knocked over. Looking around, he spotted an owl settling in front of him. "Hello, there,'' Adi said as he set down his sandwich and reaching out give the little fellow a little pat on the head. Too bad he didn't have something suitable for the owl to feed on.

But it didn't seem to mind as it stretched its wings and took off. "Thanks for the delivery!'' Adi called. He grabbed the letter. Who could it be from? His face lit up. Hannah! Well, well. This was a surprise but a very nice one.

His grinned as he read the letter. It was taking him back to his first year when he met the Slytherin for the first time when she hated him and then to his second year when they became friends after his little prank at the Lake. Adi picked up the photo that came with the letter.

Look at his Queen of the Meanies, smiling and looking all pretty. Adi missed her. A lot. Not even bothering to finish his half eaten sandwich, he left the Great Hall. Hannah's letter needed a reply. Yep.

Oh? So Lux wanted to be a lion? He nodded and could see it. "Or is it due to the fact that Cinna and Emmy are in the same house." he asked with a quirked eyebrow. He saw her plan here. She just wanted to be with her friends. He nodded when Lux and him picked the same option. He grinned and said, "Yeah but I wrote about the story through the dragon's perspective so I will see how I did on that."

He pat her back softly and was glad she wasn't choking anymore. He didn't want his friend to suffer. "Are you doing the divination homework yet?" he asked. He went into his bag and got out his card for the headmistress. He was almost done creating it. He was gonna write a cute message in it.



There now that seemed right. He smiled and liked it! He was still doodling and cutting out till the result came out to this....

Ian had come into the great hall to find a place of relative warmth to read the new book he was toting under his arm. You could make out the title partially as Dummy's guide to... and the other word wasn't quite as easy to make out. He had hoped he could get some wonderful potato stew and bread with a tall mug of hot chocolate with chicory to help him warm up. It was something his mum always did on the coldest days as the wind from the North Sea rushed through the town. He also hoped he'd get a chance to study the book a wee bit more. He sat down at the table and looked around for a bowl, a plate and a mug.
