The day of the final match has come. Botros, with the aid of a few students, came down from his office to the Great Hall where the game was going to take place. He was wearing a couple layers of clothes to keep him warm and draped a womanly shawl around his shoulder just to be safe.

"Good Eve-" he started in a hoarse voice, coughed a few times to get it better and continued. "Good evening and welcome to Gobstones Club in this exciting day, where the Snakes meet the Badgers for the Championship cup. Please let the players take their places and have a seat."

Aaaand let the game begins!

For the first round Malone and Whitlock climbed the benches to stand on the makeshift game board set on top of the house tables. The players held their shooters and nudged their stones. The green stone rolled on the right track while the yellow one made a twirl and stayed in its starting spot.

Miss Newell took the shooter for Slytherins while Abbott handled the Hufflepuff's. Both players gave their stones a nice nudge, the Slytherin stone proceeded further on the track, the yellow stone rolled off the track again.

"Points go to Slytherin." Botros spoke, eyeing the chandeliers above that were breathing hot air and keeping the general atmosphere warm.

Mordaunt took the post after Newell, grinning and excitedly waving the shooter around. Clarke was pushed by her mates to take on the Hufflepuff's shooter. The dragon-like chandeliers up ahead breath some flames to defrost the board and the stones, and then the players nudge their stones gently.

The green stone kept its progressive rolling, closely followed by the Hufflepuff's stone although it kept straying from the correct track. Clarke gave Mordaunt a nasty look when he let out a cheer.

"The points go to Slytherin. Ready for next round!" Botros was trying to move around the tables to stand under those warming chandeliers.

Whitlock grabbed the shooter from Mordaunt and pushed him to the side gently. Abbott had the shooter after Clarke leaving the tables. Both players took the shot, the green stone rolling swmmingly on the board, opposite of the yellow stone that simply missed the track once again.

"A point to Slytherin."

Whitlock stayed for the next turn, confident and determined. Malone took the shooter from Abbott and seemed to be concentrating on the stone a little better than her Slytherin's opponent. When she nudged her stone, it rolled back into the track knocking the green stone to the side.

"Two points to Hufflepuff!" Botros clapped encouragingly.

Whitlock and Malone were at it again, this time the Slytherin team had the better chance, rollingt heir stone smoothly towards the goal. The Hufflepuff's stone yet again released the foul gob. "Slytherins win this round. Get ready for the next one!"

The Slytherin and Hufflepuff stones were well far apart, the green stone rolling easily on the board. The chandeliers hovering above occasionally breathed safe fire, offering the warmth the castle had been lacking lately.
