Please do not post past this point until Healer Tillstorm has invited you inside her office.
Just past the entrance to the Hospital Wing and to the left is a long hallway that leads to the office of Healer Cecelia "Cece" Tillstorm. Her office is the ideal place to find her if you do not need any medical attention and wish to simply visit the Healer, or if you are a Slytherin student wishing to speak to your Head of House.
The door is currently closed so please knock and wait for her to call you inside. While you're waiting, feel free to take a seat on the little bench just to the left of the office door.
OOC: You must post here first then wait to be invited into the office. Those brave enough to try entering without permission will suffer the consequences.
Caelen ran her tongue over her braces for what was hopefully the last time before knocking on the door and then sitting on the bench. Not that they were painful or anything, but these Muggle braces were annoying. She wasn't allowed to eat anything that she loved and she was constantly getting food stuck in the metal. And they hurt when they were put on! That was not a fun night. So the Healer HAD to have some way of fixing her teeth, right? That was more practical than transfiguring a goblet into a mirror or something, right? In the twelve year old's mind it was.
Puffing out her cheeks as she waited, the Ravencaw's mind went invariably back to Spencer. Which would HE have done? Would he keep the braces, or would he want them taken off too? Would the boy give her a lecture on how she should accept the braces and who she is, annoyingly short red hair and all? That would be what her mom would do. So hopefully Spencer was not her mom. Because no one wanted to date their mom.
Woah, Merlin's left sock! Who said anything about dating? She didn't? The redhead didn't even like Spencer in that way! He was her best friend besides Paige. But there was one difference between him and Paige. The freckle faced girl didn't blush when she thought of or saw Paige. But that didn't mean anything, right? Maybe it was because she knew him longer? Why was being a preteen so confusing? Maybe she should find him and talk to him. Not about this, of course, but see how a conversation with him went. See if she displayed all of the signs of flirting. That would be great, if the kid knew what the signs of flirting were. And she promised that she wouldn't make this possible crush into anything like an experiment. She wasn't hurting her best friend.
But he wasn't her focus right now. Right now, she wanted to focus on the braces and herself. Find him and deal with all of this later. Right now she had teeth to be exposed and good work to do. Which is why the second year didn't try to find a spell or charm to do this herself. The result would probably break her in half AND get her in trouble. Yes, even pig-headed little Caelen had some sense in her head. No matter what her mother said sometimes.

Now that the feast was finally over, Healer Tillstorm decided to stop by her office before checking in on her snakes in the common room. She wasn't planning on spending very much time in this office tonight seeing as how it was the first night of school. Certainly there wasn't going to be anyone sick or injured already.
Of course as she rounded the corner leading to her office she spotted a student outside her door. Hopefully this was not an indication of what this term was going to be like.
As she approached her door she stopped next to the girl but made no indication that she was going to either open the door or invite the girl in... yet. "Hello. Is there something I can help you with? Are you lost?" That had to be it. They hadn't even been in the school for twelve hours yet. So really, the only reason Cece could think for this child to be here, in this spot was because she lost her way to her common room.
Keep on walking youngster. You have a few more flights of stairs to go. Unless of course the girl was just here to introduce herself. Yeah, that could be it. Since you know, this office wasn't the infirmary after all, where sick or injured students should go.

The Healer was here from the feast! Caelen jumped up from her seat, excited to see the woman who could take off her metal annoyances. In fact, the girl was so excited that she hadn't even been up to the common room yet. The twelve year old just ran right to the Healer's office and hoped that Adrienne was right. It was about to get really awkward around here if she wasn't.
Why did she want the silver metal to be gone so bad? Because all that candy she ate made the braces kind of hurt and they looked weird among the kids who had none. Stupid muggle things. She was a wizard. No one else had them. Which was only one of the reasons the redhead wanted them off. O-F-F. Off of her teeth. She would even find a way to explain this to her dentist and her mom if she had to. She would even make up an alibi to do it. Just get the stupid contraptions away. Or she might have to find a spell or something to do it herself. There was a library, and Caelen was pig-headed enough to make it happen herself. Soooooo one way or another it was happening.
"I'm not sure if I'm in the right place or not. I think I am, because I'm not like high risk or in danger or anything. I'm not sick or injured, in other words. Wait, I kind of am." Tucking a piece of red hair behind her ears, the second year continued. "I'm sick of having these metal braces stuck in my mouth. They're annoying and painful and I can't eat my favorite foods and I was wondering if there was any spell or charm or magic you could use to take them off." And with that, she opened her mouth to reveal the dentistry work. As if the Healer couldn't see if from a mile away. Use clever pun, check. Make yourself look really good. Yeah, that one was probably not checked. Hopefully the Healer had something. Because the kid did not want to go all of her second year rubbing her tongue on the stupid metal. That hurt. She had cut her tongue twice doing that already. And adults kept yelling at her for eating candy. It totally stunk. Mom even threatened to hide the candy or break the jar if she kept this up. And Nate and Thomas actually DID hide the candy, though Caelen got it down and hid it in her room. But that wasn't the point. The point was that these things stunk! Flashing a smile in the Healer's direction, Caelen decided that it was probably good to introduce herself.
"I'm Caelen. Caelen Winters. And I have braces. And I would like to not have braces. Would you be able to help, is the question I'm asking." Because that seemed like a nice way of asking when you REALLY hated the things on your teeth.

Penelope had decided that she should talk to Healer Tillstorm. She had been avoiding eating many things in class, like pizza and cookies, all year, because she had a wheat allergy, but had told no one about her allergy. If anyone could help her, it was the healer. Penelope felt that the healer should know about her wheat allergy. It could save a lot of trouble later if anything happened. She knocked on the door to Healer Tillstorm's office, sat down on the bench, and waited. On second thought, Healer Tillstorm must have received owls from her mum at the beginning of the term, so maybe there was nothing to worry about. It was too late to change her mind now.

Reason: It's the stuff like cookies and pizza in class that she doesn't eat.

Cece was stopping by her office for what was to be just a quick five or ten minute break from the infirmary. Victor had a visitor so Cece thought now would be a good time for her to rest for a minute. She had told Lux where to find her if she was needed, but she had a feeling she wasn't going to be needed any time soon.
As she walked up to her office she noticed a student sitting on the bench outside her office. So much for getting that break.
"Is there something I can help you with Penelope?" Yes, this one she knew.

Penelope was sitting on the bench, waiting for the healer. Was she busy? Oh, there she was. "Hello Healer Tillstorm. I assume that you know about my wheat allergy," the Healer had gotten the owl from her mum at the start of the term, right? "At the next divination lesson, I'm not exactly sure what we will be doing, but I think we will be baking. I'm sure that there will be wheat flour, maybe other wheat products. Professor Morgan suggested that I talk to you."
There would certainly be wheat products at the divination lesson if Professor Cassie had said that she should talk to the healer. "Do you have anything that could help with my wheat allergy?" Penelope was only asking that because Professor Cassie had said so etching like that. She was sure that having her allergy medication on hand was the best thing to do. "I know I should have my allergy medication on hand, but is there anything else I should do?"

Cece just looked at the girl like she was some sort of idiot or a moment. Did the girl not remember that the healer had already given her a potion at the beginning of term? A potion that would deaden allergic reactions for a year's time. "Um, Penelope, you shouldn't be having any problems with that allergy. I did give you that Antiallergen Potion when term started." There really wasn't much more the healer could do at this point other than... "The only thing I can suggest for you now is to wear a face mask during the lesson if you are worried about breathing in anything." It wasn't really necessary, but who was she to stop the girl if that's what she wanted to do. "I also happen to know that Professor Morgan is going to be using a wheat free recipe during her lesson, so really, there is nothing for you to worry about."
