| | |  Gobstones Match: Gryffindor vs. Slytherin
 The building used for the Gobstones matches had had it's doors opened to the brisk, early autumn air and it's surfaces magically dusted by Professor Botros and Mr. Kitridge, the school's Gobstones sponsors and made ready for the term's first match.
The red and green marbles were set out and the playing 'field' had been marked. Chairs were set out on each side of the arena creating a Viewing Area for those not playing to watch.
OOC: Remember only members sorted into Gryffindor and Slytherin Houses can post in this thread, it is not a chat thread and there is no rping. Read the Gobstones Rule book before playing and if you did last term, please check again because it's been updated. The thread is moderated so your answer won't show up until the sponsors allow it. Botros, with the help of the librarian, did some preparations before everything looked good for the match. They took their place in the center of the court to wait for the players from Hufflepuff and Slytherin to start filing in. When a group of student's from each house had formed around them, professor Botros spoke to them as well as the people in the stands. "Welcome everyone to this Gobstones match!" Smiles for everyone, of course.
"Good luck to both houses." Botros grinned widely, and handed the stones to their respective houses before taking his place on the sideline with the librarian. Gryffindor vs Slytherin

The first roll of the match was a duel between youngsters Benjamin of the lions and Grace of the snakes. The two released their stones. The stone's sped off down the court all the way up to the Jack stone where the green stone pulled the longest straw and knocked into the Jack first.
"First point of the match goes to Slytherin!" Mr Kitridge announced.

Grace stayed on to meet Sarah in a new roll as Benjamin walked off the court. The stones were released. The green quickly leaped ahead of the red that was slowing down. Suddenly the red stone stopped and sprayed the whole lion bench in smelly gob. Ewwwwww. The green could effortlessly roll up next to the Jack stone.

Grace Paton remained in her station for the next turn, and so did Sarah Edwards. Both girls released their houses' stones into the board. The audience were sitting on the edge of their seats as the Green and golden balls rolled on the board in significant speed. It was a really close shot before the green stone touched the Jack Stone and ended this turn.
