Near the hidden entrance to the prefect bathroom on the fifth floor stands a statue of a lost-looking wizard with his gloves on the wrong hands. This is Boris the Bewildered, a good meeting spot on this largely empty and musty-smelling floor.

Now THIS was fun. This was the best, well, the second best, thing about being on the small and short side. Her best friend was taller, taller than her and obviously she could give her piggyback rides. Cat tried not to choke Elodie with her over eager bouncing. "This must be what having a horse is like."

Sometimes...well sometimes Elodie considered how they were really as close as they were, when in theory..personality wise, they were poles apart. But nevertheless, here they were, over a year into their best friendship and they'd already had discussions that some people just didn't have this early on. "And what if I break mine?" Catty couldn't properly piggy-back her around the castle. There were inches between them. The tickle of the bow movement on her head made her grin, and she shifted the other sixth year up a little more.
"I bet they went on a date and are SO involved that they're considering statue children and maybe a wedding." Or so..one would hope. They were obviously made for one another. "Hey Catty? Do you think we should seriously think about relocating them so they can be together all the time?" It was only FAIR.
Adelaide had made to wandering around the castle again ever since she got back from break. She still felt awful about what happened with Ty, but hey. Things happen. But that was causing her to want to bake...and about half of her containers were already filled with goodies she still needed to get rid of.
She paused in front of the statue, wrinkling her nose a bit as she took it in. It was definitely weird, but then again so were most of the statues in this place. She let out a sigh.

Wanting a nice quiet spot to do her Potions essay, Lux had headed over to this quiet and virtually deserted area of the fifth floor. Setting her bag down, she sat down cross-legged by the statue and took out some paper and a pen. Slowly, she began to write her essay, building up a small pile of balled up paper; started essays that she ended up being displeased with.

"But I stopped when Sander and Louis told me to because for some reason it would upset Bay, and I don't want Bay upset." She loved him and he was very important to her, so as much as she wanted to rebel, she stopped as soon as she had kissed Louis twice and they told her not to hurt Bay. "It's fine to be curious," she said with a nod. "However, I think what everything is concerned about isn't the fact that you're growing up," she began. She hid a smile at her not wanting to hurt Bay- he had certainly had an interesting reaction at the first kiss. "Lux, when you kiss a boy, does it mean anything to you? Sometimes, the person being kissed may want more than one- it could tell the other person something you don't want. However, kissing is much more enjoyable with the one person that you really know and, perhaps one day, love," she explained. "But there's no need to rush that either. Besides, do you want a reputation for kissing boys?" she teased.

A kiss isn't just lips touching, it's an unspoken conversation," she said with a shrug. "But, if and when you get a boyfriend, it is appropriate to kiss him." She was probably confusing Lux even more. "Does that all make sense?" she asked with a soft laugh. "You can tell me if it doesn't- it's not something I've really explained before."

And she had a feeling Lux didn't feel that way about most of the boys she had kissed recently.
"Some do, yes- but not all of them. It's just best to get to know a person before you kiss them," she explained. "Or, know what you're getting into," she added as an afterthought.
Oh, okay. Lux was pretty sure that she understood what Tessa was saying. "Is that why Bay reacted the way he did? Because he thought I was dating Louis and he is like a protective brother to me?" She knew that Bay was protective of her, and she secretly really liked and appreciated it, but she was not going to say any of that to Tessa. Lux had no interest in Louis in that sense, and she was glad that Louis understood that.
As she listened to what Tessa said about waiting to kiss someone when you know them well, it made more and more sense. It would not be good to kiss someone with a girlfriend - which she had known already - and that was why she had not kissed Sander and Bay. It was a good thing she had Tessa to explain it to her, since she had never considered that boys could lie to her. "I understand what you are saying, Tessa." It made more sense to her now.
