Grin…grin…grin. Nope, this dude ain’t a quiet one. Gotcha Badger Girl!

Did he scare her? Yeah? Oh heck yeah he did! Andrew grinned at her adorably, giving her the I-don’t-know-what-you’re-talking-about look, dimples and all. “Whaaat exactly are you looking at?” he asked gesturing his head towards the boring Black Lake. The scenery was good though, in fact it was worthy of a sketch, but boring lake is boring. Andrew did catch her look before startling her. “Are you reminiscing about something? Like…does the Black Lake remind you of someone? Or perhaps this tree?” Curious Slytherin is curious.

The Slytherin joined the Badger and sat beside her. Indeed, it was a nice spot to study. But before he went on to bury his nose in his Potions book, he decided to go back to interrogation. “Is it your boyfriend? Er…ex-boyfriend?” he really shouldn’t ask those questions, but just for the sake of irritating her, he did go on to ask. Meeeh, they’re not exactly friends yet, yeah? They just met back in the Hall and then she just disappeared.

And whhhyyyy was she smiling at him? “Same as you. To space out on this very spot.” He wasn’t going to tell her that he was going to study here. Ehh. That was a Ravenclaw thing to say. Besides, juicing out information from her was more fun than studying. Just saying.

Then she was on to offering her the beans. Suspicious looks for you miss. “Eeehhmmm. Why don’t you get one first?” Just to make sure it isn’t poisoned. And yeah...ladies first.

Sophie just looked up at Andrew as he grinned away. Huh. Slytherins were an oooodd bunch. In a good way, of course.

What she was looking at? "Just.... this." And she also gestured towards the Black Lake. "It's beautiful, don't you think?" It sure was! Then he went on about her reminiscing about something or someone and what? "I... what?" She frowned in confusion, looking from him to the Lake, then back at him. "Well, not... not exactly. I mean..." Shrug. "You have to agree that it is a beautiful sight." Nod nod. It was indeed. "Though yeah, I was thinking about... things." The badger shrugged again. "Nothing important, really." She said, waving it off, partially trying to convince herself of that too.

Sophie watched him sitting beside her and turned to look at the Lake again. Merlin, it was beautiful. "....What?" The girl was even more confused now. "My boyfriend?" Ex...? Huh?? "Sorry?" Oh, who she was thinking of? That was probably what he was asking, yeah? "Oh, um." Aaand Sophie shrugged again, shooting a quick glance towards where Ana was sitting but looking back at the Lake even more quickly. Shruuug.

Space out? Blink. Sophie chuckled sheepishly andddd shrugged again. Oh well. She had to admit she was spaced out, but not anymore! There were Charms to be tested at the moment! Chaaarms! "Well, ultimately... I came here to practise Charms, as I usually do." She said, pulling out her wand. "I usually enchant leaves and things like that, but due to the weather, I had to improvise this time." The Hufflepuff smiled, lifting up the Bertie Bott's box and shaking it slightly. She picked a random bean and tapped her wand on it, not saying anything, as she was a big fan of nonverbals. In a fraction of a second, the tiny Bertie Bott's bean grew 5 times larger. "Good thing it's chocolate flavoured." Sophie smiled at Andrew right after tasting it.

There, she had taken one. Your turn? Hehe. Sophie offered him the box so he could choose a bean.

He will exchange their dorm for this view anytime. What with the old/young/old people milling their place, most of them complaining about painful joints…and farting like it was no one’s business. “I’d rather look at the castle though. Black Lake’s just…meeeh.” He said staring at it for a good while.

Oh. Ooooh. So she was thinking about something…or someone! Should he pry? Of course he should! “Sooo…what were you thinking of?” Andrew looked at her and tilted his head. “You smile a lot…makes me think that you’re hiding something.” Because people usually mask real emotions with a smile, right? It was an assumption of course, but Sophie didn’t have to know that. He did however catch her look at someone who was nearby. Well there were a couple of students there too, but his eyes landed on a she-snake. Oh! He knows her from the dance lessons. “Anastasia? Why, what happened to you guys?” Not that…he wants to be involved, in case they have an on-going cat fight or something. Not that…Sophie was the type of girl who gets into cat fights. Andrew waved at Anastasia and gave her a grin. The conversation won’t be complete though if Andrew threw in his own supposition. “Oooh. Don’t tell me you like Terry too? Because…I think they like each other.” So…is that the reason why she’s sad and all?

Charms. Of course. Charms, Bertie Bott’s, Charms, Homework.

Andrew eyed the huge bean then to Sophie with an ‘are-you-kidding-me?’ look. How was he supposed to eat it when it’s engorged. Fancy wand work there, though. The seventh year had to suppress an ‘I-know-what-you-are-trying-to-do’ grin and played dumb. He did eye Sophie though when she took a piece. “Ehm…Chocolate isn’t my favourite flavour, but whatever.” He took a piece of the engorged bean and placed it inside his mouth.

Chew. Chew. Chew.

He ought to be careful, but seeing that he already got a clue, he was intrigued with his own daydream. Andrew sat back on the tree and eyed the Black Lake before him. But instead of looking at a semi-frozen lake, he saw a thawed one. “You know, you’re right. The lake is beautiful.” And…what is this he is seeing. “Is…that a sword coming out of the water?” Well…apparently what’s happening to him is more than a daydream, but a hallucination. Although…there is a thin line between the two, so…

It really would be a amusing, but also a shame if Bay got fat. But the poor boy would eat as many sweets as he could before having to eat the healthy stuff his parents made him. "I might sneak him sweets during summer," that way he would have something to look forward to!

She quickly made short work of the soup before grabbing a cucumber sandwich. She would try everything that was brought, but she still wanted her sandwich. "Ooh, I can't wait for that. You are so nice, Ana. Thank you." Ana was the best teacher, because she combined learning and food. The Professors really needed to take a page out of her book and offer snacks during lessons.

Ian listened as she asked a bunch more questions, but at least he was starting to learn more about her. Not really. I mean dad takes me out on the fishing boat and I've had the chance to travel that way, but they don't make much and so travel isn't something we do. Plus, there isn't a lot of places they want to go. They aren't particularly thrilled they've got to get me to London for the train. He thought that if they got out more, they'd appreciate things more, but he also knew not to push them much.

He clapped a little when she said New York. Really? What's it like living there? Until he came to Hogwarts, he'd never been to a city any larger than Edinburgh. That was for his grandmother's funeral.

He saw Gwen shiver and asked her Getting a little cold? Maybe we could find something to do that's a bit warmer. He knew a nice place up in the treehouse they could sit and enjoy some time together.

Whaat? "The Black Lake is... meeeh?" Sophie repeated, chuckling. "It is a good meeeh, I presume." If such thing even existed. The last thing the Lake was, in Sophie's opinion, was 'meeeh'. But welp. To each to their own.

The next thing she knew was that she was blushing. Why, though? Sophie didn't usually blush... but... what kind of question was thattt??? He didn't even know her that well, did he? Or... didn't know her at all even. "I-- I wa-- Um." She paused for a moment, considering what to say. "Nothing important, really." She shrugged once again. "Just... silly things."

Hiding something? The Hufflepuff frowned and tilted her head in confusion. "I'm not hiding anything." Weeell. Not hiding, really. People knew what was going on, so she wasn't hiding. It was just... that not everyone should know about... the things she'd been thinking about, right? Anastasia, what?? slkjdfnsjklfndjkldkfndsjksfnfdj! What!! Sophie's eyed widened as she raised her eyesbrows and blinked multiple times. What. Even. "What... happened? Wha? I-- W--. Nothing happened between us." ...Weirdo Slytherin was... nosy? He was freaking her out a bit at the moment. "Who's Terry??" Huh??? "And I don't... mind if they like each other."

Sophie shifted on the spot uncomfortably and looked from him to the Black Lake as he took a bean and ate. Ugh... she just felt like leaving now =|

"Of course it is..." She agreed with Andrew, her eyes still on the lake. "I-- what?" Sophie glanced at Andrew before staring back right at the Lake, searching to see if a... sword??? was coming out of the water anywhere. "I don't think so..." She told him before remembering about the enchanted beans. "Oh."

Weirdly enough, she was feeling too awkward at that time to feel any excited that the variation of the spell had worked. She was pleased, of course, but couldn't find the excitement to celebrate or anything. Because.... awkward.

“Yes, the Black Lake is meeeh. Nothing extraordinary about it.” Sure, there were underwater creatures down there, but a lake is a lake. Nothing special. Andrew glanced at Sophie and wondered whether she’s a budding environmentalist, or…just love the planet earth too much.

Shrug.

No wonder she’s a badger. Moving on, he caught her blush and all. “Yeaaaah, it has something to do with my house mate.” The blush doesn’t lie. “Nothing happened…okay, I’ll buy that but your blush didn’t escape me.” So yeah, he knows that there’s something going on. Oh and she doesn’t know Terry? Hmm. Then that crosses out the possibility that she likes Prince Kicker. Well, good for her because both of his housemates are going along pretty well. Too well, in fact…not that it’s his business, but observant kid is observant. “Oh? Silly things, huh?” Andrew looked at his companion once more and smiled. “I might be able to help you out with your dilemma. Girls need a guy’s point of view on things from time to time.” Yeah, like now?

Chew…chew…chew.

“What do you mean there’s no sword?” he asked gesturing his hand to the lake. Andrew then swallowed the remains of the bean in his mouth, and everything went back to normal. When the seventh year looked back, all he saw was a semi-frozen lake. “Yeah, there is no…” Oooh. Oohhhh. Cool. Very cool indeed.

“Ah well, forget it…” he said as he leaned back on the tree and fished out a paper bag from his pocket. Now it was Sophie’s turn. Muahaha. “Here, have some of our house brownies.” Why? Because apparently brownies that came from the Slytherin house was too delicious to pass up. Even better this time because it’ll take Sophie to a daydream of her choice. Cool, yeah?

So go on, Sophie. Take a bite.

"I'm sure he'd like that. It's a nice idea," Ana praised, giving Lux a bright smile. Seriously, she liked this girl more than she liked either of her actual sisters. That was probably a problem. She was just so sweet though that Ana couldn't help it. Better not have the siblings find that out though.

"You're welcome," she chirped before finishing off her own sandwich and reaching for a cookie. "You're nice too. I'm not actually that nice though, I just like you," she confessed before taking a bite of the cookie. Nummy. "These are great. Too bad we don't have milk though. You know, before now Bay had never tried milk and cookies?"

Whaaat! "I think it's amazing!" It was! Look at that! Blimey, how wasn't there anything extraordinary about it?? But oh well, no point in trying to convince him, was there?

Nuuuuuu!! Sophie didn't look at Andrew while he went on about something having to do with his housemate. ksjdfnjksddf stop iiitttt, Andrewwww!!! Gahh! "No! ...Well, yes. Sort of. But it's nothing important, honestly." This last bit made her look at him, because come oonnn!! Believe heeerrrr!!! Great... her blush didn't escape him. If only she was a good actress like her cousin. But no. She had to not know how to hide this sort of stuff. Great.

Whaaat was up with this dude?? Sophie thought he was quiet! He was now wanting to know things she wouldn't go around telling people and and and!! Aaahhh!! Especially on that topic. Poker face.

Though... guy's point of view? She didn't have that.... and hadn't spoken to a guy about it yet. Maybe he... had a point there. "Okay, so... um..." She started, but... sdklfjnskjfldnsdfjk!! Nooo! She couldn't!! That was TOO silly and embarassing! Besides, it was really stupid of her to feel so awkward and she shouldn't allow herself to feel that way.

Though she couldn't HELP IT!! Ugh!

Anyway. Yep, so sword. But she didn't tell him that anymore, she just watched him. Hm.... it didn't last that long, unfortunately. She would need to work on that a bit more, then.

She took a mental note of that before eyeing the brownie he was offering her. Sophie was not stupid, so she knew exactly whta that was. But welp, since he had been her guinea pig, it was only fair she'd help him out as well.

So she took a piece and ate it.

The Hufflepuff looked back at the lake and waited for something to happen. Blink, blink. ........???

She looked around at the other people and all. Helloooo??? Daydream, where are you? Sophie was looking around to see if anything unusual would pop out of nowhere or something. She was literally searching for.... she didn't quite know what, ot be honest. "Um..." .....So she just looked back at Andrew. "Thank you! For a second I thought it was enchanted." She chuckled sheepishly and.......... wait. Was it supposed to be enchanted and it just didn't work and she had now hurt his feelings or something??

What’s so fantastic about the lake? It’s just…a lake. Weird badger is weird. Andrew looked at her to the lake then back at her. Seriously? The seventh year laughed and shook his head. “Yeah…whatever.” Sophie is one crazy girl. Giggle, giggle, giggle.

So it wasn’t that important? Ooookay then. “Why don’t you talk to her if it isn’t so important? Anastasia’s okay. Well, I really don’t know her that much, but she doesn’t bite.” Does she? Not that he wanted to know, but girls ARE confusing. Eager Badger was making so much fuss over it. If it wasn’t so important, then why the blushing and the awkwardness? Hmmmmmm.

Oooh! Oooh! Will she finally tell him? Yeah? Eh…no? Andrew raised an eyebrow at her. She wasn’t going to tell him then? Grrrrr. GIRLS. “What?” he can’t wait forever, you know—given that the weather was making his butt freeze.

And…enchanted? What?...Oh.

So…it didn’t work. Well, clearly it wasn’t his day. Maybe he should just join the fun party back in their common room that Healer Tillstorm prepared for her Snakes. “You really think that I cursed the brownie?” Nope, there is no way he will show his disappointment. Charms is stupid. Potions is waaaaaaaay more effective. Pssh. Cosgrach will definitely agree. Just saying. “I’d rather do it to someone I know…” Yeah, we are making you feel guilty Eager Badger Sophie. “…I’m not an opportunist.” Yes, Ms. Hufflepuff we knew the bean was enchanted.

Oooh. Guilt tripping is such a fantastic thing to do. Muahaha!

So! Was she going to tell him or not? “My offer to listen to your woe will be gone in about…5 minutes.” Talk now or forever hold your peace. “Tell me now, because if you’ve changed your mind…” like most girls, “…then I’ll just join our small house party back in the common room.” Where it’s warm…and where he can brood over his failed attempt to make her daydream. “Sorry I can’t offer an invite.” Because, reasons.

Lux beamed that Ana agreed with her idea. She did not mind helping Bay out, because he was the best. Biting into her cucumber sandwich, she thought about what she wanted to try next. Russian food seemed rather interesting, and hopefully there would be no butchering of pronunciation on her part. "I like you too, Ana! You are awesome!" She loved Ana, because she was so nice to her and she was a great teacher and Lux thought of her as more and more of as sister. "You are very nice." Nods. No one was going to make her think otherwise.

Yummy milk and cookies. "Seriously? But... he's Bay? That makes no sense because that is the best way to eat cookies." You would have thought that someone who loved eating bad food as much as he did would have dunked a lot of cookies in milk. "He never had Chocolate Frogs until I gave him one on the train." She shook her head now. That boy was something else.

Aww, that was so sweet of Lux to say. Not that she didn't know that the little girl thought highly of her before this, but it was nice to hear in person. Even if the admiration was a little bit misplaced. But then again Lux had no reason not to think that Ana was nice, since she'd always been kind to the little girl. She also hadn't witnessed Ana at her lowest point a few years ago when she could be terrible to everyone, well except Tessa who she'd felt a kinship to. "Well, I think you're nice and awesome too," she replied before munching some more on her cookie. Soooo good. She should have more cookies.

"I know. He was deprived," Ana said sadly. She really didn't understand how Bay had lived his life without trying cookies with milk. She was just glad she'd shown him the light. Food wise. "Really?" Ana asked, eyebrow raising in shock. He was more food deprived than she'd thought. He'd definitely need care packages over the Summer filled with junk food.

Awwww, lux gave Ana a big hug for saying that. The Slytherin girl could do no wrong in Lux's mind. She really was a great friend, and Lux was really happy that she had met her. Finishing her sandwich, she looked over all the yummy food that Ana had brought and tried to make her mind up on what she wanted to try next. "Any suggestions for what I should have next?" Since she did not know the Russian foods, she would trust the other girl's judgement.

Yes, Bay was very deprived. "I will have to eat cookies and milk with him next time we are in the kitchens together, so he can get more used to it." And maybe over the summer too, as she was sure she would be seeing him. Or at least hoped as much. "Yep, on the train we went to the food trolley, and he told me that, so I made him try it." Shaking her head at how ridiculous he was.

Alec was walking. Power walking. Rumour had it that this was good back exercise work. It was meant to help solve a couple of issues that he had been having lately. Ones that he wanted to sort out as soon as possible so... he was going to see if this rumour was true. This rumour came from a book. A book on back pains.

Nobody needed to know this.

The eighteen year old had power walked his way out of the common room and out towards the lake. He had tried his hardest not to take any breaks because... this was meant to be exercise, see. They had a match coming up and he wanted to be in his best shape for it. This would have included some jogging and stretching but... he was starting with the basics. Walking. Power walking.

... And... now he was getting tired so... maybe he should take a break?

Stopping by the beech tree, the boy stood there and rubbed his lower back. Looking around, it seemed like this place was a good place to stop. Very calming. Alec slowly lowered himself and sat down, letting out a small sigh of relief once he was done. He squished around a little until he was completely comfortable. There. ... Yeah... he wasn't going anywhere for a while.

You know what Tag was doing, he was doing that whole 'let my feet walk for me' thing he always did. When he looked up he was oh...look where he was. The beech tree. Ahhhh. Good times. Shhh. Very good times indeed.

So, he stood there smiling at the tree, and kinda just glancing around it. A very huge smile, yes. Until he saw someone he knew very well. Or sort of knew. He was changing wasn't he. The blonde walked up to the old man best friend and then ruffled his hair from the back quickly, then stood in front of him, jumping back and forth to each side of Alec's legs. "Catch me! Catch me if you can, Grandpa!" Hehehe. Apparently Tag was full of energy today. That or he really enjoyed teasing his best friend now that he had gotten old so quickly.

Alec hadn't expected to get company so quickly but he wasn't going to dismiss it. Nope. Because... hair ruffles! That was definitely in his list of likes. Right up there with his girlfriend and close friends and Dad and hair an puppies. And all the other likes that he wa too tired to mentally list. A grin spread across the seventh year's face before he turned to look over at...

... TAG!

... Who was doing something weird.

Okay, when hanging out with Tag, you had to expect the weirdest of weird things, no matter what. But this was... new. And what had he said? Could he speak up? Please? ... Eh. Alec's eyes were glued to the boy's feet, a curious expression crossing his face. "Are you doing a Leprechaun Dance, mate? You going to put on a show?" If so, why hasn't he heard about it? Looks would have been given, Tageth. "The leprechauns would be proud of you, you know."

He still didn't know what it was that Tag was doing, jumping around like that but... the Gryffindor didn't need to know that.

Ana returned the hug, squeezing Lux back just as tightly. The little girl gave good hugs and Ana certainly didn't mind being on the receiving end of one. It was nice to see that Lux liked her enough to hug her as Ana was generally a quite tactile person. "Umm, how about you try the Sbiten?" Ana asked as she poured some into the top of one of the thermos' she'd brought it in. "Drink it slowly though as it might be hot," Ana warned as she poured herself some of the soup Lux had tried earlier.

"I suppose you will. Make sure the cookies are warm as well, since that'll make them taste better," Ana suggested. Personally warm cookies were her favourite. They just tasted so much better for some reason. "Hmm. In that case your care package idea is an even better one. I wonder what other sweets he hasn't been able to try yet." There were probably a lot. Hopefully when Hogsmeade opened he'd have the ability to go to Honeydukes so he could try some of the sweets out. Ana's favourite were sugar quills. She'd need to get some more of them at some point.

Jump jump jump. Back and forth and back and forth and back and forth. Alec wasn't even trying is that how old he was now? He wasn't even attempting to reach out his hands to try and stop Tag by grabbing to his ankles or something. What was the matter with him?

Whoa. Alec thought this was a leprechaun dance? Not even close. Nope. Anyone could do what Tag was doing. The boy walked a couple of feet backwards and did a really quick, like five second, leprechaun jig/dance. He wasn't very good at it. Now that was a leprechaun dance. Mhm.

And no. No shows. Fear of public speaking/dancing. Not Tag's thing.

"They should be proud of me. Thank you for that compliment."

So, the blonde boy sat down next to grandpa.

"How's the grandpa life doing for you?" Smirk.

Adi had absolutely nothing to do at the moment. Having just completed his homework, he contemplated on going to the Technology Room to listen to the CD he won at the Dance thingy but for some reason he changed his mind and suddenly a walk outside seemed much more appealing.

He headed in the direction of the Beech Tree and soon came upon a young Hufflepuff whom he had seen around but never too the chance to speak to. The fact that the boy had crystalised pineapples had nothing to do with it. It was the book that had actually caught his eyes. Was it a fantasy book? Adi decided to find out. Plus it was high time he got to know the younger boy.

"Hello!'' he said. "Mind if I join you? Is that a fantasy book?''

Mizu was in the middle of shoving a crystallized pineapple in his mouth when he heard a voice asking to join him.

Chewing quickly he finally spoke "Sure you can join me" he said happily. " If you get hungry you can look in my bag I should have something you might enjoy in their."

The second year boy then asked about the book in his hands."Oh,yeah it is" Mizu smiled.It was good to hear that he had something in common with others."Its about the warring gods and immortals from every past imaginable."

"By the way my name is Mizu Hashigawa" he added." Whats yours?"

Yaay, big hugs and more Russian stuff to try! This picnic was totally amazing. Happily, Lux took the thermos cup from Ana as she listened to what her friend had to say. Burning herself was not something she intended to do, so she sipped it slowly and carefully. "Mmmm, this is nice Sbiten." Saying the word slowly, but still being sure that she was butchering it somewhat. With more practice, she was certain her pronunciation would improve.

Nod. She was sure she would do that. "I will remember to do that, and I think I will take him to Honeydukes where I am sure he will die of happiness." She laughed because she was sure that Bay's first love was candy, and she knew that Honeydukes was amazing for their candy.

Awesome! Adi plopped down and eyed the book. "Fantasy books are my favourite kind, you know,'' he said. Just being lost in the wildness of the author's imagination was a good way to spend a day.

Oh! Adi grinned. "Sweets are another favourite thing of mine.'' Basically, anything eatable was his favourite. But should he really go through the boy's bag? They hardly knew each other. "I'll just have what you recommend,'' he said politely. "And then you can tell me more about this book. Has it got lots of action?'' He loved a good action scene.

"Nice to meet you Mizu,'' the second year said. "I'm Aditya Rehman but you can call me Adi.''

Tag was still jumping and all Alec could do was... stare. In awe. Lucky leprechaun. He wasn't expecting anything, was he? Wincing a little, the boy reached out and tried to make grabby hands at the boy. Not his ankles. Come here, Tageth, he wanted to give hair ruffles. ... Because... just look at that head of blonde hair! Awesome. Very awesome.

They should be proud of him? "Of course!" ... And what was he doing now? A jig? Alec tilted his head and watched the boy curiously. "Is that the leprechaun dance?" And more importantly, did Tag want to teach him how to do it?

... Grandpa life.

If anyone else had said that, the eighteen year old would have been slightly offended but... it was Tag. "The grandpa life is... good. I miss my usual hair, you know." Among other things like being able to walk properly without getting back pains but... that wasn't important. Tag would understand, right? "How's the leprechaun life suiting you? Found a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow yet?"

Mizu scooted over as the second year sat next to him."They are pretty good especially when they have a certain charm to them that just draws me in." gushed Mizu."Hmm. whatever I recommend huh"Mizu dug in his bag and picked out five crystallized pineapples and handed them to the second year.

Hearing the boy ask about action scenes Mizu perked up."The book is filled with action scenes." said Mizu."They use magic and weapons to the fullest."

"Hello Adi" said Mizu " Its nice to meet other Hufflepuffs that aren't way older than me."

Weirdo boy. Sophie simply carried on looking at the lake as he dismissed the beauty of it. She smiled, though, because she knew some other people - like Mordred himself! - appreaciated the lake as much as she did. Yep, of course she remembered when sh first met him. He was even drawing the Castle from an angle beyond the lake. Surely because the lake was beautiful! Heeee!

"I know she doesn't bite." Sophie said, still facing the lake. "And it's not like I avoid talking to her and all." The girl shrugged. "It's just that... we're not the closest of friends." Well, they weren't friends at all, actually. Acquaintances, yes, but not friends. "Besides, I only spoke to her once. When I met her. ...There weren't any more opportunities after that, I suppose." Not that she wanter any opportunity to talk to Anastasia. She didn't mind not talking to Chloe's doppleganger. Honestly.

djkfnskjdf Nooo! She didn't want to tell him! "N-- I--" Aawkwaard.
