| | |  The Weasley Swamp
The legendary portable swamp created by Fred and George Weasley was once large enough to consume the entire middle section of the first floor corridor, leading from the Dark Arts office to the History of Magic classroom. Nowadays, only a small section of the corridor is roped off in tribute of the redhead twins' swamp, but it is a historic section nonetheless.
The remaining swamp still SMELLS like authentic swamp, LOOKS like authentic swamp, BUBBLES like authentic swamp, and will suck you in like an authentic swamp, if you so wish to step in it. Avoid the swamp with care is the best advice you should heed while on the first floor, especially if you're running late to class.

Alice had told him about the swamp, but his cousin had refused to show it to him no matter how FURIOUS he got with her. She was getting super tall these days and he really wanted to start growing so he wouldn't feel like a midget next to her. It really wasn't fair though she was hardly older than him!
But anyways. He'd found the swamp. SUCCESS.

Actually gross.
It wasn't her favourite place in the castle, of course. And for a moment she'd forgotten it existed, and had walked this way in one of her 'hey I'll clear my head and walk' moments. This was not a pleasant walk anymore.
The urge to push a small child in was exceptionally strong as she came to stand behind one close enough. She didn't though. She wasn't a BULLY. Elodie was just curious as to what he'd smell like afterward. 'Cos it sure stank already.
"You know if you touch it your limbs fall off?" Not really, hehehhe.

Benzi turned as he heard a voice rather close to himself, and blinked as an older Hufflepuff girl came into view.
Um.
Did older students even talk to the first years? Because this was his first time, outside of a lesson and/or seminar.
He looked up at the girl for a few seconds before accepting the fact that she was talking to him, and nodded sagely. "I know, my cousin said that students go to the Hospital Wing all the time because they try and touch that wall," he indicated the one the swamp was lined up against, "on dares, but they fall in and lose their legs." Story confirmed by both Lucas and Alice Rider.
... Benzi suddenly wondered if perhaps they'd been pulling his leg.

It wasn't his fault. She was just taller than she necessarily needed to be anyway. But it was fun to be looked up at.
Twirling her hair around her finger she nodded. "So are you going to touch it? Aaaaaaaaaare you going to fall in?" She could help out there if he really wanted. Only if it was for his pure curiosity. In the kids best interests. She totally had those at heart. Without even knowing his name.
It was only a small swamp, but she bet it'd be hysterical to watch.
.............Maybe she needed to grow up a little though.

Benzi blinked, and turned his head to the swamp as he considered this idea. He went as far as to scratch his chin like his uncle did sometimes when he didn't know how to reply to something, considering her words.
"I dunno," he said honestly after about twenty seconds of silence. "If everyone ends up in the hospital wing then why should I even try? Hey, have you done it?" he asked, once more looking up at Big Hufflepuff girl.
He still had a weird feeling that this conversation was not normal. That she was mocking him without mocking him.

It was his own fault, she concluded after a moments thought. He had planted the idea in her head and now she wanted to see him execute it.
