It's a known fact that fire and paper isn’t a good combination. The library has therefore always featured a sparse number of torches on the walls to minimize the danger to the books. On test this year the torches have been replaced by enchanted firefly lamps. A good number of stained glass windows grace the walls at regular intervals where the room is connected to the outside wall of the castle to ensure that adequate light comes in. Stretching from floor to ceiling these windows depict famous witches and wizards from history, important historical events and beautifully detailed magical creatures or at least that is what you should see.
Come sit down and relax in one the cushioned window seats. Read a book under the warm gaze of a healer or the roaring growl of a dragon. According to legend work gets completed faster if you sit in Rowena Ravenclaw’s window so why not try if there is any truth to it? The glass in the windows can’t be broken by spells or physical force but please be mindful and respectful of the beautiful artwork. Remember to keep your voice down since many people come to the library to study or get a moment or two of quiet.
Ah the library, Jacques had spent many a days in the place and the eerie silence never failed to creep him out and intrigue him all in the same go. It was perfect for reading his comics and studying of course, but studying wasn't so important for him anyway. He wasn't a genius -far from- but he was very good at his studies especially if they interested him, and so far, all his studies interested him well enough for him to pay attention and care.
Nope, tonight wasn't for study, tonight was for comics. He settled himself under the dragon stained glass, smiling at the intricacies as he had everytime he came to comic, then went headfirst into his Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them comic.
Zahra Kettleburn was using the window SEAT as a window BED. She was laid out in one of the windows, her sneaker-clad feet crossed at the ankles, and a book over her face to block out the sunlight.
She had thought about studying, but this library was soooooooooooooo dull and quiet and kind of warm if the truth be known and .... zzzzzzzz drool.... snore......zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

"For your information, which clearly is none of your business, I have studied there. I have a ton of studying to do before the end of term. I came to the library for new books, so I stayed to study. This is a library it's what you are suppose to do." She was not going to stand here and argue with a second year, this was just crazy.

Zahra climbed up in the window again after picking up a BIG BOOK of her own, STOOD TALL with the book over her head.... then let it drop - in hopes of CRUSHING the ickle prefect.

Zahra wasn't having that. SHE had been told SHE could PROTECT herself if someone was picking on her and that was EXACTLY what that little Prefect was DOING.
SO.
Zahra climbed up in the window again after picking up a BIG BOOK of her own, STOOD TALL with the book over her head.... then let it drop - in hopes of CRUSHING the ickle prefect.
TAKE THAT BULLY.
She heard her say ow and couldn't help but smirk. Honestly the child was a brat and deserved it, but Min didn't care anymore. She usually wasn't mean nor did she act like a five year old, even if she was the size of one, but this girl just got under her skin.
She tugged the shoulder bag with all her might. How did she always carry this thing around.. Stopping to take a breath she glanced at the second year just in time to see her dropping a book, but it was happening so fast..
CRASH..
Min was holding her head. She just threw a book at her head. She just threw a book at a prefects head. "What in Merlin's beard are you doing? I drop the book on accident so you hit me?" She really wanted to turn this girl into a Ferret or something. She turned and tugged her bag more dragging it across the floor.. "I will not stand her and tolerate this." If only her bag would tug faster.

"You're a LIAR LITTLE PREFECT! You did TOO do it on purpose! And I'd say to pick on someone YOUR OWN SIZE but you're real small right now so that's making this confusing!"

Turning she pointed her wand, "I really should shrink you down to my size or turn you into a chicken." But she was a prefect and not that mean so she was just going to leave, but if the girl didn't shut up she would silence her and let some other prefect deal with taking that off.
She turned back to her bag and began dragging it slowly away..

Then Zahra took her shoe off and threw that too.

So Zahra did the only reasonable thing to do: SHE LEAPT OFF THE WINDOW SEAT, one shoe on, and LAUNCHED herself on the back of the AWFUL PREFECT.
"AND YOU'LL NEVER MEET ANOTHER!!!" Zahra TOLD HER.... before the choke hold/head lock.
