Default of Professor Ivy Knox

Near the Charms classroom is spacious, but cozy office belonging to the Charms professor, Ivy Knox. Once you knock, Professor Knox will decided whether or not to let you in.

When you have been let inside, you will see bookshelves lining the walls, stocked full of informative books about plants, potions, alchemy, and of course, charms. Books are organized by the subject, and then alphabetically. There are a few paintings and pictures on the walls, but none of them contain people in them. A large fireplace stands against the wall between shelves, off to the side of a beautiful wooden desk, where Ivy most likely be sitting.

Unlike the rest of the castle, Professor Knox's office is quite clean, dust free, and fully stocked with nice, new furniture. All shelves, books and papers are organized and everything is neat and in order.

OOC: You must post in this thread before entering the office.

Minerva heard the new professor give her permission to enter the room. She walked into the charm's professors office and stood mesmerized by all the books. Looking at the shelves she couldn't believe how many were in here, but it wasn't the first time she had seen many books in the charms office. No wonder she was told to come and see this professor. Trying to focus again on her purpose, Minerva smiled towards the professor, but then notice she wasn't even looking.

Standing just inside to the door, Minerva tried to calm her nerves a bit, "Hello Professor. First off let me say, welcome to Hogwarts, I hope you enjoy teaching this term." She took another step into the office, but stopped not going any further until asked. "My name is Minerva Wheatborn, I was hoping to talk with you about Charms and my future success in the subject. I hope don't mind me bothering you, but Professor Shirmer had recommended I speak with you." Maybe saying Shirmer's name would help with the professor knowing she wasn't just there to bug or being a needy student, but she was a serious student.

As the student walked in, Ivy was still facing away from the door and staring at her bookshelf. Something still seemed... OFF. She was listening to the girl, too. Multitasking.

Ahaaa! Finally, Ivy noticed a book on metal-charming off to the right. Her books were in alphabetical order, but in the rush of organizing her office, this book had managed to sneak ahead of another that should have been before it. Ivy fixed it quickly just as the girl mentioned Althea Schirmer.

"Ah, yes, Althea," she finally said, turning around towards the girl, but without actually looking at her. Ivy took a seat in her chair behind her desk. "Sit," she ordered, gesturing to the couch. She straightened a small stack of papers on her desk. "Go on, then." Let's talk.

Minerva wondered if she was ever going to look at her. Not that the books weren't amazing to look at, but shouldn't a professor acknowledge the student. As the professor turned Minerva tried to give her a smile, but she still didn't seem to really look at her. Was this the right professor Shirmer was talking about? Min was starting to wonder when she was ordered to sit. Well that just made her a little more nervous, she was suppose to open up to this woman about her charms score and her future, but the woman couldn't even be friendly. What if she just laughed and sent her away.

Sitting she fidgeted nervously and took a deep breath, first this professor did need to know she wasn't just some dumb student coming in to ask for extra help. "Well professor, first I would like you to know that I am typically pretty good at Charms and learned many things under Professor Shirmer, so it came as a shock to me when I got my OWLs scores back this term and I had received an A." Shock was an understatement, she felt bad for as moody as she had been for a few days after getting those scores. "Well I had written to Professor Shirmer and we got talking about my scores, and she showed disappointment in that score as well, especially when I had mentioned that I would like to pursue a career in healing. She expected better out of me and I expected better out of myself as well." Frowning at the thought of disappointing someone Minerva fidgeted again nervously.

She hated how nervous she was about all of this, "It was under her advice that I come see you and see if there was some extra lessons I could get or books to study to help improve my Charms ability and up my performs and score on my NEWTs seventh year." Looking at the professor she was a little [s] a lot [/b] terrified of her reaction and thoughts.

Finally, Ivy lifted her eyes to look at the student in front of her as she listened to what she had to say. She listened to her whole lot of information before sighing inwardly and clasping her hands on her desk.

This girl looked nervous. Good. Could have been because Ivy was knew and she didn't know her. Could have been just her personality. She couldn't tell yet.

"Alright, Miss Wheatborn... Tell my why you think you only got an A on your OWL. What did you do wrong? And be specific." Recognizing mistakes was a big part in improvement, was it not?

Minerva watched the professor, she seemed to be really listening, was that a good sign, maybe, hopefully... Oh and she was saying Miss Wheatborn, so formal. Min was use to Minerva from professor, but not many used her last name. What she did wrong, Minerva thought and frowned in frustration, looking to the floor she had many reasons why she might have done bad, but she hadn't pinpointed it to a specific thing.

"Well that's the problem professor, I've went through everything through my brain and I can't figure out the pinpoint to my failure." She knew an A wasn't completely a failure, but in her eyes it really was. "I do know that I couldn't think of at least one spell and might have screwed up on another. We had a few steps in the exam, and I know that I did the banishing charm, the polishing charm, the water charm fine, but I could not remember the charm to record a voice and I'm not sure I did the correct spell to animated the rubber duck." Continuing to frown she was still very upset with herself.

Thinking more she wasn't sure about the written exam, "I thought I did alright in my written exam, but I'm assuming maybe not since I ended up with an A." She wasn't sure if that was exactly what Professor Knox was looking for, but it was the truth.

Ivy could tell this girl was definitely upset with her scores. That was a good sign; it meant she really wanted to improve and she wasn't just here because Althea Schirmer told her to be.

The woman nodded as the student went on to explain what she had done wrong. Ivy was silent for a few moments before speaking up. "You've realized what you've done wrong - that is a good first step. Since then, have you gone back to the charms you failed to perform and mastered them?" That was also a very important step.

"From what I can tell, you really just need more practice, or a better practice technique. How do you go about studying for your exams?" Yes, yes, more questions. Ivy was a question asker. Just ask Erik.

Minerva looked down and thought about this, had she gone back and mastered the ones she had done wrong, "Well no I haven't yet, Ma'am, but we aren't allowed to do spells outside of school during the summer. Plus I live with my grandparents in the muggle world." Even though she was in Germany for part of the summer, still the age restriction was a big issue. "I have found the one spell and have read over it, I just need a chance to practice.. but professor I still can't for some reason remember the charm to record your voice. I haven't found it anywhere and can't seem to find it in my notes." Which was odd, because she had parchment after parchment of notes.

Then the next question made her think of something the Shirmer said, about not letting a boy cloud her. "Well.. I read up on the spells from my notes and got some books from the library. I used my own time to practice in between classes and homework." She thought for a moment, "and I had my boyfriend quiz me and ask me to do different charms for extra practice." So she did study alone and with someone else to get a variety, but it just didn't seem enough.

The voice telling her that she could entered sounded from the other side of the office door. Elwood stood up from the bench she that she had been wondering where the woman had gotten from and opened the door.

Perhaps she could ask the woman who seemed to get new furniture for her office from a bankrupt school for some pointers.

"Hello?" The blonde poked her head around the door and noticed the dark-haired woman sitting at the desk enjoying her fruit and book. "I hope I wasn't interrupting you? I was just coming to introduce myself and sort of welcome you to the Castle." She walked into the office and made her way slowly to the desk and chairs, looking around and seeing....big surprise, more new furniture.

Well, that was reason enough. "Well, you're not in the muggle world anymore, are you?" Hm? "You don't have any exams this year, so I suggest spending your free time studying your weaknesses and practicing until you master them. And then practice some more." You could never practice too much, after all. No one got worse by practicing too much. Ivy listened to the student explain her struggle with the charm to record voice and nodded slowly. She glanced at the clock. "You have time now?" Ivy did, and it was her job to teach, wasn't it? "We could go over it in a few minutes, if you'd like." At least, she hoped it only took a few minutes. It wasn't that difficult to master, really.

Aha. She was waiting for that. Boyfriend. Ivy almost laughed, but contained it inside. "Might I suggest something, Miss Wheatborn?" She didn't wait for an answer. "While it's just... lovely that you have found someone to share your time with, love-interests don't always make the best homework partners. In my years of studying, I've found that the best people to study and practice worth are the ones that you aren't so fond of. The ones who you would very much like to be... better than, hm? It gives you motive to do so. Friends are distracting, are they not?" Ivy didn't know how useful this explanation would be to a Hufflepuff of all people, but she tried.

"Not at all, I was just doing some light reading." Ivy closed her book and stood as the woman walked in further. "You're the Divination professor, correct?" Ivy walked around her desk and held her hand out for the woman to shake. "Ivy Knox." But she probably knew that by now. At least, she should have.

'What gave it away?' Calista wanted to ask the new Professor but she held her tongue and instead she sort of waltzed over to shake her hand, literally almost dancing.

"I am. Calista Elwood, it's a pleasure to meet you, do you mind if I call you Ivy?" She was in a way her boss because of her Board position but at the same time she was just a colleague. "I'm happy to see you've been given ample opportunity to help out with the school in a more hands on way than the Board has, in at least the recent past." There wasn't a drop of malice or sarcasm in her tone because Callie rarely used those emotions on others, it was merely a comment.

Could she sit?

Smile.

Well, she was an eccentric one, wasn't she? Most Divination... people tended to be rather odd. She seemed to fit the mold just fine. Ivy shook the woman's hand and took a moment before answering her question. "Professor Knox will do just fine, I think." Just because.

"Please, take a seat," Ivy said, gesturing towards the couch before moving back around her desk. "Tea?" she asked, picking up the hot teapot from the shelf behind her and refilling her cup.

Ah, yes. Ample opportunity... Ivy put on a small smile. "Well, I'm glad that my time on the board can be of use to the students at Hogwarts. It would be a shame to see their time at this school go to waste." There, that was convincing, was it not? That was basically her whole campaign into two sentences.

SPOILER!!: Professor
Well, that was reason enough. "Well, you're not in the muggle world anymore, are you?" Hm? Minerva listened, no she wasn't in the muggle world anymore, she was glad to be back and glad to be allowed to do magic. "You don't have to worry about that professor, I do spend much of my free time studying." She had found a balance over the last few years for friends and quidditch as well, but she knew she had always spent much of her time making sure her work was done. A look of surprise and appreciation crossed Minerva's face when Professor Knox suggested practicing.

"I certainly have time Professor, but I don't want to take up your time if you were busy, I know this wasn't a scheduled meeting." She was eager to practice, but of course wanted to be considerate that unlike her the professor probably as a life outside of here. "I would really appreciate the time to help me though, it really has been frustrating me a bit, Charms and Transfiguration usually came pretty easy for me, so not remember this spell has been a big problem."

Minerva was taken back a bit by Professor's words, someone that you weren't fond of like an enemy, "but wouldn't it be difficult to even get someone like that to work with you?" She could only imagine asking Elliot or Maxwell to practice with her. The only two people she really had issues with and she would be to afraid Elliot would use the wrong spell on purpose and well Maxwell she wasn't going near. "I will take that into consideration, though I don't have to many people I'm not fond of, but maybe someone I don't know as well and it could turn into better practice as well as getting to know someone new." That sounded like a win-win in her eyes, but maybe that wasn't what the professor was aiming for.

Professor Knox? Were they seriously going to get started on the same foot as she had with the former Charms professor? Was the position cursed with up-tight witches with...ahem.

"A fan of formalities? Well then Professor Elwood shall do nice too." She smiled politely. If she wasn't going to allow her to call her by her first name, Callie wasn't going to let her either. And now a seat was being offered, one on the very expensive looking coach. How in Merlin's beard was the school able to afford this? Unless she had brought it from home. The old Elwood would be thinking of a way to steal it but those days were in the past although it would look nice in her office.

"Umm, just a glass of water would be nice. Never really been a fan of tea. Which can be awkward when we get around to Tasseography." She chuckled a bit to herself.

A good answer. "Spoken like someone who really cares for the students. Now were you ever a teacher before?" She hadn't been when she took up the Divination spot and this woman had had a much higher position of take-off than Calista did.

She had found a balance over the last few years for friends and quidditch as well, but she knew she had always spent much of her time making sure her work was done.

"Good," was all she said. That part was taken care of.

Goodness this girl talked a lot, didn't she? Ivy didn't like that, but she answered her questions with patience anyway. "Well, I don't mean you should walk up to your mortal enemy and ask them to practice with you." That was common sense, wasn't it? Ivy tried a different approach. "Every human on this earth has someone they secretly dislike whether it be of jealousy or envy. We may not admit it to anyone but ourselves, but it's true. Find someone you secretly dislike, and/or want to be better than and kindly ask to practice with them. They will see it merely as someone wanting to practice, not someone trying to be better than them." Did that make sense? It made sense to her,but she was slightly messed up.

Ivy waved her hand at the girl. "If I was busy, you wouldn't be here anymore. It will only take a few minutes." Ivy stood and walked around her desk to grab a small textbook off of her bookshelf. She set it on her desk before looking at the child. "I suggest you take notes." Ivy pointed to the small lamp table beside the couch where a piece of paper and a quill and bottle of ink sat.

"The incantation for recording your voice is Intonio. To record your voice on something, you must tap the object you wish you record your voice to, say Intonio, and then speak the words you wish to record. When you are done speaking, tap the object once more to stop recording." Ivy looked at the girl to make sure she was following along. "For example," Ivy held her wand, opened the book to the fifth page and tapped it once. "Intonio," she said before continuing, reading the first sentence of the first paragraph: "In its original use, the word spagyric was commonly used synonymously with the word alchemy, however, in more recent times it has often been adopted by alternative medicine theorists and various techniques of holistic medicine." Then she tapped the book again to stop the recording.

"Now, to play the recording, you tap the object twice and say Intonio Revelio." Ivy did so as she explained and a second later, the book played the recording of what she just recited, nice and clear. She looked back at Minerva. "Would you like to try now?"

"Sometimes," Ivy replied simply, in regard to her comment about the formalities. Sometimes she liked first names, sometimes she liked formalities. It depended on her person and her mood. So, Professor Elwood it should be then.

Just water? Ivy raised an eyebrow slightly, but conjured up a teacup of water, for the Divination professor and levitated it over to her. She had a moment of temptation to dump in on her lap, but that would be childish and she really didn't have anything against the woman yet besides the fact that she was a blonde Divination professor. Pff, Tasseography. Load of rubbish, in Ivy's opinion, but she didn't say so. She just sipped her tea. "I can imagine."

This woman obviously hadn't been paying attention to the debates over the summer, otherwise she would have known the answer to her own question. "Yes, I've been teaching for several years. I started Assistant teaching in Egypt in... 2068. Then I transferred to Athens Wizarding Institute in 2071, lectured there for four years and then became a Professor there until just last year." When she... quit. Yes. Quit. Ivy took another sip of her tea and looked at Calista after rattling off her qualifications that got her to where she was. "And what of you?"

"Yes..." Siiigh. Callie didn't know what else to say now that things were so formal. She felt like she was in an interview now...and Merlin knows how the last interview she was in turned out--she was nowhere near being Deputy Headmistress. Psh. Oh but Seren definitely deserved it. Honestly.

Ahhh yes, their pasts, a good topic to small talk about. Callie nodded as the woman went on. She did seem to have a well-honed teaching career it seemed. "Egypt? Did you happen to cross paths with Anastasia or Abraham while at that institution?" The Headmistress and Ancient Runes professor had both worked their for a turn after all.

"Me?" Callie chuckled nervously before taking a sip of her water.

....

Oh she was serious! "Oh right, well I came from the States for university at Edinburgh as well and graduated in 2074 with degrees in Unorthodox Divination Methods and Advanced Crystallography and the usual minors in Arithmancy and Runes Diviners usually accrue." Yeah, the usual at least in Callie's mind. "I then was hired at the British Ministry and worked as a Unspeakable in the Department of Mysteries' Prophecy Hall. Very interesting work indeed." The blonde picked a bit of dust from her skirt as she talked.

"And then I had a moment of unemployment from 2076 until I was hired so graciously here by the former Headmaster, Mr. Tate." She wasn't exactly going to mention the back-hand deals and fortune telling she did during her hiatus from work.

"That's me." She grinned.

Minerva listened as she explained again. Was there anyone she secretly didn't like, that she could use to practice with. Min was a pretty readable person, if she didn't care for you, you knew, but maybe she could think of someone. Nodding to say she understood, Minerva wasn't sure what how to answer her. "Well that is something to think about and I will make sure to try it for practice soon." She just had to figure out if there was anyone she felt that way about.

Oh.. right, of course she wouldn't be there if the Professor was busy. Looking towards the table, Min took the quill and some parchment. Dabbing the quill with ink, Minerva began taking notes as Professor Knox talked about Intonio. Saying it a few times in her head, she wanted to keep it in memory this time. She was not going to forget it this time. She hated the fact that she had no memory of learning this spell. Watching as she tapped the book, Minerva waited eagerly as it played back.

Feeling her stomach flip the moment Professor Knox asked if she would like to try it. She hadn't done any spells in front of this professor yet, so she really wanted to get this right. Pulling her wand out of the holster she looked at the book, thinking about the spell. Then she looked up at the professor, "Yes I would like to try it."

Taking a deep breath she turned to the book and tapped it, " Intonio" Then she began reading the same line as the professor had just read. "In its original use, the word spagyric was commonly used synonymously with the word alchemy, however, in more recent times it has often been adopted by alternative medicine theorists and various techniques of holistic medicine." Once she was done she tapped the book again.

Taking a deep breath she tapped the book twice and it started, ""In its original use, the word spagyric was commo.... It started alright and Minerva got excited that she got it on the first try, but soon it went to nothing. Her face fell, what did she do wrong.

Ivy fixed her eyes on the blonde. She wasn't a huge fan of them. Blondes, that is. It wasn't as if she purposely disliked every blonde she met (which wasn't true, considering Althea was a friend), but the majority of the blondes she met just sort of... set her off for one reason or another. Hm.

She looked uncomfortable, that one. Ivy found it amusing.

When she asked about her time in Egypt Ivy just shrugged her shoulders. "Oh, I may have, who knows. I was there for quite a few years and saw many people come and go." She didn't like most of them anyway. Then again, she didn't like most people. "Although, that is where I met Althea Schirmer. I'm sure you know who she is." Ivy didn't know if the two blondes had taught at the same time, but Althea was quite well known, and for good reason.

... Her? Ivy raised an eyebrow at the blonde. Of course, her. Who else would she have been talking to?

Ivy patiently listened to the Divination professor rattle off about her so-called 'qualifications' that she considered 'very interesting work'. "Mhmm," Ivy murmured, nodding her head slowly. Divination was a load of rubbish in Ivy's opinion. She was a very logic-driven person. She liked solid facts, whole numbers and specific answers, not a whole bunch of silly predictions that were made on the odd chance that your tea leaves look like a messy, soggy blob at the bottom of your tea cup. It was for this reason that Ivy did not look very interested or impressed at what Calista Elwood had just told her.

"And you had no teaching experience previous to your employment here?" No, this wasn't an official interview. Ivy was just... curious.

Ivy took a step to the side as the Hufflepuff stepped up to the book. She watched her very closely as the student uttered the incantation and then read the same paragraph Ivy had previously. So far, so good, though she seemed rather nervous. Ivy continued to watch her as she tapped the book twice, but failed to speak the incantation to play the recording back. She said nothing, but waited until the recording failed.

"What did you do wrong?" she asked the girl. Obviously, Ivy knew, but she wasn't going to just give her the answer. That wasn't going to help her learn. "Look back on your notes and figure out where you messed up. And then start over."

She would wait.

Minerva frowned at the failure she just did. Then she was being asked what she did wrong. Well let’s see, she did the movement, maybe she did the movement wrong, but if she did it wrong then why would it have seemed it was going to work. She stood pondering over what was going on. Going through the steps in her head, Minerva retracted and then her face went from thinking to an ”Oohh” What a dumb dumb she was. How could she have forgotten to do that. Blushing a bit she looked up at Professor Knox, “I forgot to do the playback charm.” Yes that was a very big step to miss.

Looking at the book she took a deep breath and taped it, ” Intonio” Then she looked at the sentence that the professor had read so easily and tried to focus and keep her voice from being shaky. "In its original use, the word spagyric was commonly used synonymously with the word alchemy, however, in more recent timesithasoftenbeenadoptedby alternative medicine theorists and varioustechniquesof holistic medicine." She ran some of the words together talking a little quicker the she should have. Once she was finished, Min taped the book again.

Now was the time to see if she did it. Carefully she ran through the other words in her head, Intonio revelio, intonio revelio. This time she was not going to forget it. ” Intonio Revelio” tapping the book twice. Her own voice popped out of it . "In its original use, the word spagyric was commonly used synonymously with the word alchemy, however, in more recent timesithasoftenbeenadoptedby alternative medicine theorists and varioustechniquesof holistic medicine." Wow that sounded.. horrible. Her words were to quick and she couldn’t understand some of them, but hey at least it worked, that was a start she hoped. Looking at Professor Knox she waited to see what the woman would have to say.

Ivy continued to wait, holding her own clasped hands in front of her as the Hufflepuff tried to figure out what she had done wrong. Finally, she seemed to realize and Ivy nodded. "Yes. Now try again." If she concentrated enough, she would most likely be able to do it pretty well. This girl was indeed rather good with charms for her age. She had been able to play the first part of the sentence without even saying the incantation, so that was something. She just wasn't ready for that yet.

When Minerva started over, Ivy continued to stand there and watch. She could tell the girl was nervous, mostly by the way her voice shook and her words ran together. Finally, she watched and listened as she got the book to play her recording.

"Better," she said. "Good, actually, but you must speak clearly if you want to be able to understand what you just recorded." Ivy used her wand to shut the book and send it back to its place on the bookshelf. "That's it for today. If you want a few extra points, go practice over the next couple days, record something on an object, whether it be notes from a class or something from a book, say about... thirty seconds at the least. And then bring it to me, show me what you've done and we'll go from there." Ivy looked at the girl one last time to make sure she understood, and then she could go.

Seeee, who said Ivy Knox couldn't be nice? Pff.

Minerva smiled a little as it read back, yes it was horrible sounding, but that wasn't the spell, that was her. She was just happy to have done it and now that she had it written down she was never going to forget it.

Looking up at Professor Knox, Minerva listened as she said about slowing down, yes she would have to relax next time. Then she said about practicing and bringing it back to her. More practice and a possible extra lesson with Professor Knox, Minerva smiled at this opportunity. She would do anything to keep on top of charms and possibly learn more. "Thank you so much for the help professor. I will practice and bring back a better recording." She gathered her bag and got ready to leave. "Thank you again professor and I look forward to class." With one last smile she turned and headed out of the classroom.

She was glad Professor Schirmer advised her to see Professor Knox, she would have to make sure to thank her in an owl.

Ivy nodded and holstered her wand. "You're welcome. And good. I'll see you soon." She was fairly certain this girl wouldn't take too long to figure the spell out and master it. Ivy wouldn't comment on her looking forward to class, though. She probably wouldn't if she knew what they were doing.

"Good day," the professor said with a nod of her head as the girl left.

OOC: You may now post in the office thread!
Mika let out a sigh of relief as Professor Knox said she could enter. Apparently asking about spells – and apologizing was a good thing to say yeah? So she slowly got up from the benches and walked into the office. Wow, she liked Professor Knox’s office.

“Oh, wow…I love your collection of books Professor” the Ravenclaw’s jaw had dropped. They were organized. She loved organized things – really, it was just so visually pleasing but then again she was so bad, so very bad at the organization thing herself. “sorry…side tracked, books always do that to me” she took a quick deep breath and hiccupped.

“I-HIC-wa-hic-ed to say” and the hiccupping stopped…apologizing was scary, “that firstly I’m really sorry about class…it was silly really. I’m just so afraid of spiders its ridiculous” she was nervous there yeah. But she’d be fine. “I also wanted to know if there were some charms that you could possibly cast on say – magical fireworks?” she asked her face was calm. “I was making some and planning on giving a bunch to the school so that they could atleast partake in Hogmanay this year” she bit her lip and stood there glancing around the office.

"Oh...nice office it is very, organized" she couldn't find a better word. Heck it was to the point of insanely organized.

Once the girl was in, Ivy shut the door and walked past her to her desk to begin reheating her tea. yes, yes, Ivy had a fantastic collection of books, she knew that. Ivy sat down at her desk and looked at the girl as she started hiccuping. This was a strange one.

Ivy waved her hand. Apology dismissed. "What's done is done." It really wasn't that big of a deal, just a minor point loss for her. Not that she would find out until the points were in... which might be a while, considering the goblins took the jewels... Hm.

Now, about these magical fireworks, "Technically, magical fireworks are already charmed..? Or are you saying you want to make fireworks?" That was... something else.

... "Thank you." Odd child got distracted much?

Mika had a feeling of course the ‘whats done is done’ wasn’t a great thing to hear. She did just nod, at Professor Knox as she glanced over to her she wasn’t exactly smiling – but she was. It was that genuinely nervous smile she always donned when talking to people who were older than her – or intimidating. And this was both.

“Well I have been making the magical fireworks potion for quite some time now – I’ve completed one batch of them really. I do want to learn if there is a way to charm the potion I made so that they are released say at a specific time and in a specific shape. Because there were so many things that could be said with twinkling lights in the sky…like I miss my star. Yeah which she did. “that…and I was also wondering – quite oddly…and well, unrelated thing” she flushed nervously. “is there a possible charm you can cast on say – shoes? Heels really, to make it so that the heel doesn’t snap off when you walk in them?” She asked because well, it seemed Professor Knox would know.

“Or does them snapping mean that you are generally bad at walking them and just need a lesson in walking like say – a nymph and not like an elephant?” She was sincerely questioning this and the honest innocence of her face would have been shocking even to herself.
