Making his way up the MANY flights of steps from the dungeons to the tower, Daichi had to catch his breath and hold his side when he came to the top. He had to get used to Climbing these stairs again cause he hadn't been taking care of his health condition during the summer.

His face was slightly red and this time not from blushing and his school bag hang loosely over his shoulders. The Slytherin knocked on the door precisely two times and turned around to sit on one of the comfortable looking chairs.

Airey paused from his construction of his latest muggle science figurine when he heard a knock at the door. Oh? Students already coming to visit so soon? Or....was it the Headmistress who had come to feed him to that plant like the previous Astronomy professor? He probably should go to her office and apologize again properly - especially after he had learned that his Fancy Feast was not tartar.

Why make cat food look like people food?! Muggles were odd...very odd.

Setting his paint brush down and setting everything to the side he looked towards the door. "Come in!"

Melanie had been wandering around the school before she had come up a flight of stairs. Wait... this was not the Gryffindor tower. Had she taken a wrong turn?! She knew she should've drawn that map like she had planned to last year. Melanie let out a sigh and figured she might as well see what was here. Oh... door. Chairs... Right... this was probably the Astronomy tower then.

Since she was here... The Gryffindor walked up to the door and knocked on the door three times. Was the professor even in? Or was he out for a snack? Melanie had absolutely no idea whatsoever. Just like how she had absolutely no idea how she had even made a wrong turn somewhere and ended up here.

After knocking on the door, Melanie sunk into a leathery chair. Much nicer than walking around. She wanted to slump in it... that would be good though, right? Bad posture and all. Melanie just resorted to grabbing a magazine off of the table and glancing through it.

Half the words didn't make sense to her.

Having put Pebbles in her house for her afternoon nap, Airey was just about to flop down on his sofa with one of his science fiction novels for a lazy afternoon now that he had his ties all rearranged by color - making a rather lovely gradient if he did say so himself - when he heard a knock at the door. Book still in hand, the man made his way towards the door and opened it to take a peek out and see who it was. "Pebbles, stay," he said to his pet. Couldn't have her running out of the office and getting lost.

Not that he honestly believed that Pebbles would actually do something like that.

"Hello there," he said to the young Gryffindor. "You might have better luck with Night Sky Observer," Airey continued with a slight chuckle. Unless the girl really was interested in advanced astrophysics, but the look on her face seemed to imply otherwise. "You can bring that into the office if you want." Or not.

Granted, the door was closed. As it should be, no? So two knocks were made on it before she finally let herself fall into one of the chairs - which ended up being comfortable, thank Merlin.

Hmmmm. Magazines? Hey, now, just exactly how long was she supposed to wait for the Professor to answer her calling?? Weren't magazines an indicator of long waiting periods? Or...whatever that was called? Lottie blinked at the magazines and eyed the door before turning to the magazines again.

Flicking and waving his wand over the jar he had found in the kitchen, Airey was deep in Doubling Charm mode when he heard a knock at the door. Once he had arranged the duplicated jars in neat rows on his desk, the Astronomy professor turned his attention back to the door, gave his wand a quick flick to open it, and looked over his desk at the young Hufflepuff sitting outside. "Come on in," he called.

Hufflepuff, now he just needed a Ravenclaw to visit him and he will have met a student from each house!

Seeing chairs and a door...The blonde raised an eyebrow where was she?? She looked down at some of the magazines and read the titles...

Airey had uncharacteristically left the door to his office open while he had gone to check on the equipment and overall cleanliness of the planetarium for his lesson, but some flow through ventilation was always appreciated. It was a tower after all. No one liked the smell of stone 24/7. He should have brought some of that muggle spray with him. Farbreeze or whatever it was called.

Having returned to his office, Airey set Pebbles out on her pink pillow on his desk when he heard a knock at the door. Since he was already standing, he made his way towards the door and opened it. OH! A Ravenclaw! Hogwarts house BINGO to him!

"Good afternoon, come on in," he greeted, stepping to the side. "Something hot to drink?"

Aurora was tired, mentally anyway... she'd spent the day going over and over the words in her father's letter and she was pretty much exhausted. Heart failure. Merlin. Part of her was a little surprised that her mother actually had a heart, but it made sense really... After all the trouble last year... Anyway, she was done crying and done worrying, her dad had said they had things under control so she shouldn't panic, right? Right.

So she'd dried her eyes and made her way up EVERY. FLIGHT. OF. STAIRS. to the astronomy tower... She'd heard something about reading being a good distraction, and since she didn't have the patience to deal with her dyslexia long enough for a full novel, some fairytales seemed like a nice place to start. And she actually was genuinely interested in this tortoise and the hare thing... it sounded fun... So she knocked politely on the door and took a seat in one of the rather comfy leather chairs, picking up one of the magazines and clicking through it. The pictures were so PRETTY! She ran her fingers over a picture of some stars, yet another constellation she had never heard of, enjoying the pattern more than the fact they were stars...

Christmas was exhausted after having journeyed up to the Astronomy tower from the grounds and took a seat and waited for the professor to be free so she could meet him

Airey had quite literally charmed his iron to iron some of his ties that had the slightest of creases in them when he heard a knock at the door. Not wanting to risk his charm potentially going too long due to him being distracted by whoever it was that had knocked, he cast a quick Finite on the iron and set it aside. He would get to that later. Not like he didn't have 50+ other ties to go through before these other three or anything.

Ahem.

Walking to the door Airey pulled it open and took a peek out to see a familiar face sitting in one of the black chairs. "Miss Stewart-Quinn, nice to see you again," he greeted as he took a step out of his office and towards her to see what she was looking at. Constellations, ah yes. Fascinating to study, but not something he would be covering this term. "Vulpecula," he said, pointing to the picture she was tracing with her fingers. "Latin for 'little fox' but is also called simply 'the fox.' One of those constellations that is often overlooked because it is so faint in the northern sky." He smiled and took a seat next to her in a different chair. Being out of the office for a little was sort of nice, but they could easily move in there if needed.

Deciding to head to the planetarium one last time to make sure that everything was set for his lesson, Airey stepped out of his office and was surprised to see that there was a student waiting there. Had she knocked and he hadn't heard it?! It was entirely possible, but he hadn't been doing anything to make enough noise to not hear any knocks.

"Oh, hello there," he said, still feeling a little flabbergasted.

Aurora glanced up as she heard her name and smiled at the teacher. "Hi professor." she said, almost forgetting she was holding a magazine until he mentioned it. Fox? "Vulpecula... I like it." It made her think about her dad-his patronus was a fox... Anyway, back to the reason for her visit.

She closed the magazine and put it down, "I came to ask if you about that book..." she said with a sheepish grin. It was weird for her to be asking about books - she usually didn't read. "I only actually know one muggle fairytale..." she admitted, though she knew a lot of magical ones.

"I like it too," he smiled. "So many wonders to see in space and so sad how easily some of the more beautiful aspects get overlooked simply because they are hard to see with the naked eye." Sort of like this constellation. Sure, one of its stars was very prominent due to its position in the middle of the Summer Triangle. It wasn't the constellation's fault that it contained no stars brighter than 4th magnitude.

"Oh yes, the fairy tale one that includes the Tortoise and the Hare story we discussed," he replied with a nod as he ventured a glace towards his office. "Do you have time for some tea or anything, or would you rather just borrow the book and be off? I am sure you have a busy schedule with all these lessons and extra curricular activities going on."

Aurora nodded, "I know Orion... my dad pointed it out to my once when we were... I don't remember where we were. But that's the only one I can recognise." She should probably have learned more in astronomy over the past six years but most of it went completely over her head. Quite literally actually, if you thought about it.

Good he remembered! "Yes that one!" she said with a grin. Okay maybe she was a little too excited to get this book, but it was the first time she'd been interested in something enough to bother to read about it so she was going to enjoy it. Yep. Busy..? Orion, yes, that was a good introductory constellation as the three stars that made up the belt were very easy to spot. After you had those three the rest of the constellation just fell into place. "A constellation that will be most visible starting next month," he grinned. Maybe he should hold a just-for-fun stargazing night out in the Tower Patch. Although, he was also pretty sure that students were a little wary of venturing there after what had happened last term.

"In that case, come on into my office and we can discuss this and whatever else over some tea," Airey offered as he stood back up and walked back towards his still open office door where he stood to the side to allow Aurora to enter first.

UGGGGGGGGH. Mo dragged his feet up the corridor to the professor's office, clearly not excited about this little session with the professor. Honestly, the worst had already happened. He'd lost points, he'd become the mortal foe of the professor, he'd lost the respect of his classmates...

It couldn't get any worse.

Mo shouldered his bag and knocked on the professor's door, trying not to look dejected. But not excited... that was entirely the wrong way to feel. More like... resigned. He could do resigned.

Airey hadn't actually returned to his office after the lesson had finished, instead putting the remaining jars and 'meteors' back in the astrophysics laboratory and then had become distracted by some dust that had somehow accumulated on the desks despite his Dust Repelling Charms.

Now that THAT was all taken care of, the man made his way back towards his office where he saw THAT Ravenclaw already waiting for him. "Ah, Mr. Branxton," he greeted with a faint smirk. "Thank you for coming. Have you given any thought to my question?" The one he had asked him at the end of the lesson about which he preferred - practical or theoretical.

"Professor," Mo turned at the sound of the man approaching from down the corridor, his shoulders straightening and his expression wavering from that look of resignation to curiosity. He was rubbish at schooling his features.

"Practical, I think, sir. I mean... unless it's about the dangers of poisons or the many many reasons not to set oneself on fire, in which case I would be happy to take the word of the experts. But usually, I prefer practical." He paused. "That's sorta what happened with the roller, sir. I rolled my clothes, and then I just got to wondering about other dirt and what it could pick up and... sorry I ruined your roller, sir." But wasn't the professor ever just CURIOUS about things?

Nodding his head in acknowledgement to the dirty hair boy's greeting, a smirk once again graced the man's handsome features at his choice. The astronomer was a little torn, to be honest, because the theoretical option would have certainly been an interesting read for him. That being said, he could certainly use the help with the other option. Heh.

"Apology accepted, Mr. Branxton," Airey said while still smirking. "Curiosity is a fine quality in any individual and I do not want you to think I am telling you not to be curious." Because he wasn't. Airey always thought that it was a miracle how curiosity could survive formal education with the way students were forced to study a memorize these days. "Selective curiosity may be the name of the game." AKA, please leave his lint rollers alone, yes?

Back to the point. "Hands on sort of person are you, Mr. Branxton?" he asked as he opened the door to his office. Wait...hadn't he locked this before his lesson? What was it doing unlocked...hmmm. "You are going to assist me in cleaning my suits today."

So step on into his office and meet your fate!

Airey had been on Cloud 9 ever since Mr. Branxton had found Pebbles and it showed from the wide grin that was on his face essentially all times of the day - even in his sleep! He was still very distraught over his missing tie - his best silk tie too! - but at least he had his pet rock back.

Standing by one of the windows in his office, Airey turned his head towards the door then he heard a knock and gave his wand a few quick flicks to remove the charms and unlock the door. "Come on in!" he called while still cradling Pebbles with his other arm.

"Professor! Professor!" Lex was screaming for the man long before she even approached his door. There was no time to waste. Her little Jeffery was in a state of not living at the moment and she didn't like it one bit. How in Merlin's beard was she supposed to know that stars could die of neglect? They all stayed in the sky all the time and no one ever took care of them. Why the heck did Jeffery have to be the one that never made it?? It wasn't fair! He had so much promise.

She banged as hard as she could on the door, trying to let him know that she had an emergency on her hands. This couldn't wait for anything because her star was dead.

Once she felt that she had knocked sufficiently she began pacing the floor, impatiently waiting for the door to swing open.

Airey had been sitting at his desk working diligently on his latest mecha model and with one of those fancy looking magnifying glass head piece thingies on his head that made his one eye look massive. He had just dipped his brush into the jar of red paint and was about to apply a thin layer to a teeny tiny spot on the helmet when

BANG BANG BANG!

Airey jumped in his seat and paint went EVERYWHERE on his desk and on his model and

"GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

THIS WAS ALMOST AS BAD AS WHEN MEDEA HAD PUT THAT HORRID BLUE HAND PRINT ON HIS RED SUIT!!

Looking like a troll on a rainy day - which is to say not pleasant - the professor marched to the door and threw it open. "Miss Cambridge?" he said with a slightly agitated tone as he noted the jar in her hand and a glob of red paint fell off his nose and onto the floor. "Something you want to show me?"

She stopped pacing when the door swung open and she saw the Professor standing before her. If she weren't so worked up about little Jeffery she might have realized that he didn't seem all that happy but as things stood, her baby was dead and well...in general, on a regular basis, more often then not, the child was oblivious. There would be no realizing. Nope.

"YES!" She practically shouted, shoving the jar with the black mass desperately toward him. "Look...Jeffery...he turned black and I don't know why and I don't know how to make him yellow again. I would have tried getting him yellow again on my own but 'cept the star notes said we should come to you if something like this happens so can you fix him????" She wibbled a bit, now meeting his gaze and that's when she noticed the paint...dripping and everything.

Oh?

"Um...did I come at a bad time...?" Not that she particularly cared for his timing at the moment because see, Jeffery, turned black, not being her lovely yellow star anymore. This was kind of a CRISIS here! "And...did you know...you've got paint...like...there..." She said pointing. Did he notice?

And wasn't he going to take the jar??? Her baby could only stay dead for so long!
