Althea was surprised to find the Greenhouse empty. This WAS the right one, she'd checked and she could see it was set up for the lesson. Ah well. She found a seat out of the way and set herself up to observe Seren.

West was pretty eager for the class even if he didn't think they'd get to do flesh eaters and such. Herbology was still one of his favourites. He didn't even notice the Ministry lady simply because he was accustomed to it now. Now to decide the important part: who was he going to sit with/work with/etc today?

Making her way out to the greenhouses for the second Herbology lesson, Kendall had gotten a bit distracted looking around at the grounds. It wasn’t quite spring yet, but it wasn’t really winter either, even though it was still rather cold and she wrapped her arms tighter around herself as she walked. At least there was the possibility of it being warmer once she got there, just because she knew Professor Bentley wouldn’t let her plants freeze, and she relaxed again once she set foot into greenhouse three. It was definitely at least the slightest bit warmer, although she wasn’t about to assume there was no chance of them ending up moving anywhere else. She would have asked the professor that, too, except she was nowhere in sight. Interesting, she thought, hazel eyes taking in the table and all the little terrariums arranged along it. Professor Bentley must have had something important that held her up, or had taken her away after she’d set this all up. She couldn’t believe it had all been there too long.

Either way, she walked closer, peering at each and every terrarium she came close to. Maybe they were going to be making their own. They’d been studying ecosystems after all. She doubted that they would be making swamps in the jars she also saw. Then she realized that she hadn’t been the first to arrive, and she gave West a smile as she finally set her bag down on one of the stools, then turned the same smile to the woman. She looked kind of familiar, and not really just because she was pretty sure she was another of the board candidates sitting in on a lesson. It wasn’t really important, though. Waiting to see if any of her friends came in after her was, just on the odd chance they weren’t going to be making their own ecosystems on their own. Either that, or she was waiting for the professor to arrive so she could ask if that was in fact what they were going to be doing in today’s lesson.

Beezus stretched her arms over her head before continuing her long brisk strides towards Greenhouse Three. Stepping inside, she only sent a small smile and nod to those already there. People seemed to be far less interesting than the long table of glass jars that housed various mini gardens for the Ravenclaw right now. So, taking a seat, her eyes remained on the jars, doing a little game of identification in her head on the plants that could be found in each and at the same time wondering if they were going to make something like those as they were asked to bring seeds, bulbs, and spores with them for that lesson. She had hers inside her bag.

Firstly though, where was Professor Seren Bentley?

Zhenya quietly walked into the Herbology classroom. The first thing she noticed was the lack of Professor Bentley. She wondered where she was, but thought it wasn't any of her business. She sat down on a stool and let her eyes gaze over the gardens in the jars. They were really nice. Maybe they would be making them during the lesson? Zhenya hoped so!

Jory was looking forward to the lesson. He suspected they had to grow their own ecosystem and if it really was that, he couldn't wait to get started. He had the stuff they were required to bring in his bag.

Reaching the Greenhouse, he looked around. There were a few students there already but there was no sign of Professor Bentley. He saw a quantity of jars though and he headed over for a closer look before heading to take a seat.

Feeling just a bit energetic today, the Hufflepuff decided to walk less slow then usual to the Greenhouses. She was one of the first there, which wasn't very like her when it came to Herbology. She walked in the classroom and noticed no adults except for the ex Professor Schirmer, that woman honestly used to teach well and it was a pity they had lost her to the Ministry.

Scanning the jars a small pout formed on the red head's face. She couldn't help but wonder what they'd be doing today. All she could do for now though was hope it didn't involve too much mud or anything ewwy.

Spotting a free seat, Nessie sat down and waited for the lesson to begin.

Sarah arrived in the Greenhouse at the perfect time. Or at least she told herself that in order not to be stressed out and anxious. She looked around curiosly... those things were interesting Her father had used picking jars like that at home when they pickled cucumbers.

She then sat down at the nearest seat and took out her textbook and laid it in front of her. Then she took out her notebook and began doodling in it, practicing 3D lettering and Lettering in general. She would jst have to wait for the teacher to arrive.

Second Herbology class of the term and Lex was sooooo ready for this. Last class was cool. They never got to play in the swamp but that was pretty much whatever now because a new class meant a new opportunity to get messy and just not care.

She followed closely behind a few students as they entered and noticed one of the candidates...the one that used to be the Charms Professor, yes?

People said she was better than Bellaire. That was pretty whatever too but she was curious now, so standing as close as she could to the woman without actually touching her she stared up at her. It was a very curious, unblinking stare. Would something spectacular happen...?

STARE.

Oh and, "Hello Ma'am." Just in case the woman cared about manners. No need to get a lecture while she waited on the Professor to arrive.

Alyssa had made her way down to Greenhouse three for the next Herbology Lesson and was surprised to see that Professor Bentley wasn't visibly present. She looked around and noticed a long table and oddly shaped jars and bottles. Alyssa's first thought was that they were going to be taking care of stars again...but then she laughed. 'This isn't Astronomy class.' she thought to herself.

On closer look inside the jars, she realized that there were small plants growing in them...like as they were miniature gardens. Next to the jars were more pickled jars. Just like the ones in Astronomy. Alyssa wondered whether that was what she would be growing with the seeds that she had got her mother to send via OWL from home. Micro gardens.

Deciding to sit down before she was accused of goggling, Alyssa looked around before finding an empty seat. She sat down, pulled out her textbook and started reading the chapter that made reference to micro gardens.

The next class that Kat had to attend was Herbology. The previous lesson was interesting because they went into an awesome swamp that was found by no other but the Weasley twins. In fact, none of Bentley's classes ever bore the Slytherin fifth year. They were all interesting and had lost of interaction which add more to the fun factor of everything. The Slytherin entered the greenhouses, not even surprised that Bentley was absent. She had been gone for a few classes before so it wasn't something new to the fifth year.

Before taking a seat, Kat noticed a Board of Governors candidate there too. Hmm, there seemed to be an army of them spread across the school already and Kat was starting to feeling uncomfortable with their presence in almost every class. But the woman seemed really familiar to Kat. It was actually the former Charms professor. BLINK. Suddenly, a smile was on Kat's face. She hasn't seen this woman for terms. Yes, terms. That was years already. "Hello, Professor Schirmer," Kat greeted. That was because the lady was still a professor to her. Was it appropriate to still address her as Professor, though, to think that she doesn't teach here any longer? Yes. It was respect.

And then Kat went to take a seat. Where are you, Bentley?

Today she would be on time for Herbology. Definitely. She'd already sent home for some seeds for succulent plants to bring to class. She wasn't really sure what all to bring, so she just got some aloe and a few seeds for a pretty cactus she'd found in a book I hope these work for what we're doing, she thought as she eyed the large glass containers. Making terrariums? That should be fun! And hopefully mine don't need much water. She had thought succulents would be ideal for her since she knew she wasn't very good at remembering things sometimes, things like watering plants so they didn't die, or checking in on her star for Astronomy. She just got so carried away with drawing and reading sometimes that she completely forgot about other things that needed taking care of.

She sat down at one of the tables and smiled to those in the room that she knew. I wonder what types of plants they brought? she thought as she fiddled with her small bag of seeds. Can we accelerate the growth of these? I don't really want to wait that long for them to grow up and blossom... Patience for things like reading stories and finishing drawings she had, but that was because it was something she was actually doing. Sitting around waiting for things to grow was just a bore to her.

The first thing that Sky noticed when she walked into the room was the former Charms professor, who got an eye, then was completely ignored in favor of the second thing she had noticed. A long table with jar gardens placed on it. So, that was what the seeds were for! Awesome! She had done this in her muggle school, and the result and been pretty cool. Just as long as your plants didn't end up all trying to squeeze out the top. Then, you had to break the jar and that was when people got hurt. She still remembered her classmate that had ended up having to do that and had ended up with a shard of glass in her eye. It had been the girls fault for not wearing her goggles but still.

Anyway, Sky made her way over to the table and sat on one of the stools, barely managing not to knock into the jar under the table while she was at it, ready for class.

Milton shuffled into the greenhouse lazily and noticed Bentley wasn't there yet. Maybe he could take a quick nap before class started. He also noticed the familiar blonde woman there, but couldn't remember who she was. She seemed important, but, meh. Milton flopped into a seat, quietly inspecting the jars on the long table. Interesting...

The first thing Ivy noticed as she walked into the greenhouse was that the Professor was not there yet. Someone else, was though. Ivy smiled and walked over to where Althea was sitting. "Althea," she said, quickly taking in the woman's attire. She personally would not have worn high heels to a greenhouse, obviously, but oh well. "Lovely seeing you again. We haven't been in a greenhouse together in... decades." She almost grimaced at that word. They were getting old. Ugh.

Herbology. Ella really liked this class...well except for the little thing about the professor-eating plant. Yeah, she was still kind of freaked out about that. In any case the fifteen year old arrived to the greenhouse with a small smile on her face. She waveddddd to Captain Loch Nessie and took a seat, noting Professor Bentley hadn't arrived yet.

Oh! And that was Professor Schirmer, yeah? Or...she used to be a professor? Ella smiled at her and waved a little because ex-professors deserved greetings too. Just saying.

Second Herbology lesson of the year? Bring it. Lately Bliss had been SOOO hyper and energetic and that was probably due to West. Her boyfriend. Okay, right. Class, get to class. She skipped the rest of the way to class and then realised ... Professor Bentley wasn't there yet. Herbology without a teacher!? Where was she? What if a giant killer plant ATTACKED them!?

Seriously ...

Bliss took a seat and waited for class to begin.

Kaiden made his way out to the greenhouses for today's lesson. There was just something about Herbology that he liked. Probably the whole being with plants things, and his merit badges for gardening and stuff. Entering the greenhouse door, the reluctant Hufflepuff scanned those that had arrived before him. Ohh, look, there was Alyssa and Alexa. It be best to avoid them. Moving forward, he waved at some of those he knew. "Hey, Empress. Hey Keeper Lady" and then grinned at the second awesomest person in the room, giving him a nod. "Odessa."

Plopping down in a seat next to one of his older housemates, the boy looked over at the red head girl. "Hey Captain." he said with a grin.

Spike grinned as he entered the greenhouse, and made his way to the seat next to his co-Prefect. "Wotcha," he said with a wink, before slipping his messenger bag carefully off his shoulder and pull out his notebook and pencil. His seeds could stay away for the moment - he'd struggled to decide on which ecosystem he wanted to focus on, and thus had brought a couple of options to choose from once he knew what the plan was.

"Staring at glass jars your new hobby, is it?" Spike joked, raising an eyebrow. She certainly seemed very interested in them.

It was too cold to be walking around anywhere or so Ofim thought. He'd fought to even get out of the bed this morning knowing that it was cold. With a hot tea in hand he made his way into the greenhouse and found an empty stool to sit on. He put his bag down on the floor and sat down. Okay. Class time, right? Let's get to it!

Alex had brought a few bulbs of...well, something, he wasn't really sure what they were, he'd just stolen them from Cale and Anna's house. He'd find out shortly though, he was sure, so he just headed down to the Greenhouse. His eyes fell upon one of the board candidates--the former professor he recognized from his younger days--and he gave her a friendly smile and nodded politely at her.

He took a seat down and sighed. This year was really started to take a toll on him. He was starting to reallyyyyyyy look forward to graduating.

Mika cocked her head to the side when she spotted that Professor Bentley wasn't even in the room. A little confusion swept through her as she looked around the room. And then fear, was that the lady she'd fallen asleep on?

Yes.

Oh god. She was the 'guest' visiting the class.

Panic time.

Mika took a few steps further into the room and looked for some people she may have known. Oh look! It was Lexa she immediately thought about Ancient Runes - that girl had a sense of humor. "Hey Lex" she smiled waving over to her friend. She glanced over to Bliss and waved. "Hey Bliss" she smiled brightly over to her. It wasn't hard to notice that Bliss was happy - maybe it was due to West. She just wanted to squish them into a hug and tell them she was so happy for them - but she'd avoid doing that as long as possible. "Hey West" she smiled over to him waving excitedly - her voice as quiet as possible so that the older woman wouldn't see or hear her.

Nope. She totally wasn't avoiding her.

The next thing she did was walk forward and take a seat next to Kaiden. "Hey Kaid" she smiled over to him and gave a little shove to his shoulder. "How's it going bud?" She asked excitedly, as she'd been a little vacant lately as she'd been busy doing her astronomy stuff for quite a bit. Glancing over to Ella she gave her a quick smile. The blonde absent mindedly began to braid - knot, her hair as she sat there next to Kaiden.

"Hello." Althea greeted in return with a smile. Good manners. That was good. What a nice little girl. Likely a first or second year, or possibly a third year who had not attended her alchemy lesson, since she didn't know her. And curiosity was never a bad thing in Thea's book. "Are you looking forward to class?" Maybe she'd get a few thoughts about what this one thought about Herbology, and about Seren of course.

"Hello Katrina." Althea said, recognizing the Slytherin. "Looking forward to Herbology today? What have you been learning so far this term?"

"Ivy." Althea laughed quietly, amused by the decades thing. "True enough. We're in for a treat I think. The students always enjoyed Bentley's classes when I taught here, I imagine that hasn't changed much, though it'll be nice to see for myself."

Ella got a wave too, and Althea smiled at the young Hufflepuff in greeting.

Alex Greingoth. He had just shot up in the last few years hadn't he? She nodded back with her own smile in place. Would his sister be in the lesson too? The pair of them were due to graduate this term weren't they?

"Hello, Alex. Studying hard for NEWTs I hope?"

It felt odd not greeting all the students, but she did, in addition to the ones that directly acknowledged her, smile or nod at those she had once taught herself. And of course once Seren was here to begin her lesson, Althea would observe silently and take notes. And probably exchange significant looks with Ivy.

Alyssa looked up when she heard everybody call out a greeting to Professor Schirmer?'Professor Schirmer is teaching the class?' Alyssa thought to herself as she noticed her standing in the greenhouse.

How was she able to blend in so well with the plants that she didn't notice her when she walked into the greenhouse earlier. Alyssa waved at her, "Hello Professor Schirmer. Are you going to be teaching today?" Alyssa asked before she belatedly realized that she was a candidate running for the Board of Governors.

Alyssa sighed. 'Bummer, she's just a guest checking up on the class.' she thought to herself as her enthusiasm dropped back to the normal range again.

Sophie smiled widely as soon as she steeped into the greenhouse. Those jar-things were so pretty! Everything about gardens, flowers and whatnot was pretty, of course, but those jars sort of made it all prettier somehow! Like a garden in a bottle that she could carry around and stuff. Lovely!

Flowers were lovely indeed!

Anyway. "Hello, Professor Schirmer!" The badger greeted her very first Charms professor with a warm smile. And.... professor Bentley? Where was she? The brunette looked around and looked a bit puzzled when she didn't see their Herbology professor there.

Shrugging, she went to take a seat next to Ella. "Hey there!"

Bliss!

She got a sort of dopey!awkward wave and a bright smile.

"Sup." West offered his fist for bumpage. Kaiden was cool, obviously.

Someone was excited.

"Hi Mika." West responded and sat back in his seat. Did he have to get his seeds and stuff out now? Nahhh it could wait.

West turned his attention to Sarah since she'd sat by him and openly looked at her doodling. Did she like to draw? West did.
