Some kid was scribbling down information on the sheet of parchment that he left unattended for ten seconds. Adjusting his turtle backpack, Bryce slowed his pace, clearing his throat quietly before smiling to the girl. This was like the last item anyone thought the redheaded Headmistress would bid upon, surely. But then they would be wrong.
Casting her eyes about to be certain no one was watching, Annie stepped up to the desk near the cane. It was an antique, so maybe Ethan would like it, and it was a cane, so it would go along nicely with the collection she had started when she stole the cane out from under Lord Borr.

He noticed the girl bidding on the cane again, and he had to wonder if the youngster had that much money with her. Then again, they still had about half a school year left, maybe more. Could've been possible. The price had gone over the retail limit though. Was it worth it? Bryce had taken his time in making his way back over to the cane. He eyed it. He could probably carve something like that. Make a cane of his own. But, the money was going to this library right? Or the school in general? Taking a glance around the room, he shrugged his shoulders and made one last bid. Quote:
