The Ravenclaws sit at a long stretch of table, piled high with foods pertaining to each meal time. It has been said by some that the Hogwarts House Elves are the best in the world. It is up to your stomach to agree.

FOOD.
Food is good. Luckily, it was necessary, too, so Milton had good reason for eating it other than it was delicious. Running a hand over his bald shaved head, Milton casually meandered over to his table and plopped down.
Then came a very important question... What should he eat? 'Cause there was chicken, potatoes, fruit, bread stuff, baco-
Was she REALLY hungry? No. Did she need a distraction? YES. Addy wandered into the Great Hall and let her eyes venture for a moment... until she spotted Milton. A small smile touched her lips as she made her way over to him.
"It's a miracle you haven't clogged an artery with your bacon intake," she said lightly as she plopped onto the seat next to him. Looking over the spread she grabbed up an apple and some grapes.
Fidgeting slightly before popping a grape into her mouth she side eyed Milton. SHOULD she ask him for help? He typically wasn't very useful... but it was all she had. "If a girl liked you... would you want her to tell you? And if so HOW?"

Except when she asked that question, he nearly spewed all that orange juice back out. He coughed a few times and wiped his mouth with a napkin... Was she going to tell him she had a thing for him? Milton thought it was obvious she thought he was hot, but he hoped that was it.
Milton shoveled some bacon into his mouth, and also decided to pile some potatoes and fruit onto his plate. Oh, and some rolls. And some more bacon, of course.

"Hypothetically speaking of course, you moron. I am not trying to confess my undying love for you or anything. I am just... How would you want a girl to tell you or show you? Girls have told you in the past, yes? I need a male perspective on this. And thanks for nearly choking to death on your orange juice because you thought I was telling you I like you. That makes me feel super awesome about my appeal to the male population." GRUMP! Addy pushed the fruit around on her plate and stared miserably. Geez, way to be a FRIEND, Milton Shacklebolt. WAY TO BE A FRIEND.

Well, excuuuuuuuuse him. "I am not a moron," he said back with a little essence of stinkeye. So, okay FINE, she wasn't going to confess her love for him, but he didn't know! Girls were weird like that. You do something nice and all the sudden they're planning your wedding. Apparently Addy wasn't like that and he was A-OKAY with it.
"Okay, fine." Milton took another swallow of orange juice and thought about it. "I guess I'd just... want her to tell me straight up. I hate it when they act all dumb and coy to get a guy's attention. It makes 'em look stupid. If you like me, tell me, or I'm gonna move on." He shrugged and stuffed a chunk of a biscuit in his mouth.
But waaaait. SIGH. Milton swallowed his bite of biscuit. "Merlin's beard, quit acting like I think you're the most repulsive person on the planet. You're pretty. But I'm not into you like that. Stop taking everything so seriously." His tone wasn't rude or anything... That just needed to be said.
Addy saw that stinkeye but cared not. "It's a term of endearment, really." Lies. And no she had not meant for it to come out of her mouth. HA. She had to learn to be a little nicer to Milton. And NO. Addy was not that kind of girl. She had briefly thought about maybe kissing Milton, but that ship had sailed pretty quickly. Heh.
"I don't think I could act dumb anyway. So that's not a problem. I guess... I need to figure out if I REALLY like the guy, too. I mean. I think I do, but I might just be confused about it because he is a really great friend. Hell, I don't know. But yeah. Truthful and to the point. Got it." She was taking mental notes. Perhaps she would ask another boy for advice, too. Just to have more than one perspective.
Oh ew. She didn't need him trying to boost her ego... and giving a backhanded compliment. She was not fishing for anything. Turning to look at him she frowned heavily. "It's not YOU I am worried about thinking I am pretty or anything... but in case you haven't noticed I am awkward at best and more than a little strange. It simply doesn't inspire confidence in my abilities to be appealing to the opposite sex, bud. That's all. And most of the time I am merely joking with you when I say such things. It's really okay..." Boys. Were. Stupid.

Nods. He didn't care about this conversation did he? She felt he was taking his role as advisor very seriously. Not at all. "Nunyo." As in none yo business. SNORT. No, she was not ready to tell anyone who she was harboring a crush on. Not at all.
Nodding once more and pushing herself up from the table she furrowed her brow at him and shook her head. "Thanks. Have a nice meal. I think I am gonna go hide under my bed and eat apples. See you around?" She lingered for a moment to see if maybe he wanted to hang later.
Sitting furthest away from any living thing (not that the table was all that crowded), Delphinia sat hunched over, her head resting on her arms, plate moved back and abandoned to make room for her crossed arms.
It was a debate whether she was more exhausted, lost, or both. It was probably both. The whole being lost in matters as of late had fogged up her mind to the point she could hardly sleep, tossing and turning most nights since.
A mess, that's what it was. She felt a mess.

Natalie scooted to the edge of the table for an early lunch. So far, she wasn't really sure about this place. It was too big for her taste -- she kept getting lost. No one's directions helped, either. She really needed Am to be here. Taking a bite of a turkey sandwich, she stared emptily at the table.

Giving the girl a BIG smile she gave her a slight wave and spun on her heel. Hiding under her bed sounded pretty awesome.
With that the ginger left the Great Hall and headed for the dorms.

Noticing the addition of voices at the table, Delphi raised her head and straightened her spine, hand raised mid-reach for a cup of juice when she saw someone in particular she'd have preferred to avoid. Luckily for her, the redhead was leaving.. but her friend didn't appear to be.
Delphinia groaned to herself, pushing back short dark locks from her face. She should have gone straight to the Hufflepuff table, rather than Ravenclaw. But then she wasn't ready to see Nathan either..
Suddenly, the Slytherin table wasn't looking so bad at the moment.

GUH. Seeeee? She was mad. And once again, without even trying, Milton had managed to make Addy mad at him. Milton sighed. If she wasn't ready to talk about it, then why in the world did she just try and talk about it with him?
Milton grunted when she shoved his shoulder. "Gee, thanks." He was sure hoping someone would be kind enough to do that. Cue eyeroll...
He was about to go back to his food when he saw that silent little interaction between Addy and that other girl. It was amazingly frustrating how women could have silent conversations and understand everything that the other person is thinking or feeling by their FACE.

"I'm Natalie," she said quietly, putting out a non-bready hand to the girl. Maybe if she learned the girl's name then she'd remember.

Mo had the rule from home well engrained that he was not to snack in between meals, and although he broke it occasionally by accepting the odd muffin or eating candy, he didn't count those because they generally didn't make him full and because candy wasn't really a food. It was just a whole lotta sugar and probably broke some different rule.
So Mo piled his plate high with food and dug in with gusto. Wait for the others? Share? There was plenty for everyone, and he was hungry. Growing boy and all that.

He piled more food on his plate, this time shadowing the selections his captain had made out of some misguided assumption that it was Quidditch Super Food. "I tried to take your advice, you know. Didn't work for me yet."
