Default of professor Abraham Botros

After being allowed to walk through the two polished doors, you're most likely to be welcomed by professor Botros' Crup, Feo. The office is relatively larger than expected, with bookshelves lining the walls, along with artifacts, figures of runes of all alphabets (duh), and several copies of The Pocket-hanky Ultimate Board. To the right and right after you see a basket with a bunch of walking canes inside, there is a small coffee table with a bunch of rolls and parchment on top, a vase of red roses is always perched up too and professor Botros sometimes is seen watering or wiping their leaves gently with his hands. Next to that coffee table is a higher stool with a glass box hovering few inches up in the air. It appears to be nothing inside that glass box, but if you look carefully inside you might just glance a shimmering something before your eyes start to water and you're forced to look away. Do not touch or steal this box, it might be protected with ancient runic magic. with nothing hovering over it anymore.

There are two elegant chairs facing each other and placed right in front of the main desk in the room where you're supposed to sit once Ab ushers you to do so. His desk is as tidy as it is crowded with parchments, books, his spare glasses, and colorful pieces of clothes that you soon will discover it's an unfolded pocket-hanky. To the far end of the desk, safely away from the guests, sit several family muggle pictures of a young man with glasses, and a young woman leaning against that young man. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that this is professor Botros fifty years ago, and then him with his beautiful wife.

On the back of the big door, there is a new parchment with a cute doodle on it. It's the first student souvenir Ab brought from one of his 'kids', to the side of that paper hanging a small piece of wood, and then a pendant shaped as a box with some dust inside.

OOC: please do not post in here until after posting in the seating area thread and being invited in by the professor himself. Posting in here without an invitation will result in deleting your post, and you getting a frowny face from me.

Blue eyes rested on the banner, and she suddenly realized...that she could've done something to improve it if she'd known the Runic language.

Then the old man was next to her, and noticed the banner, and her.

UH-OH.

'Hello dear.' That was amusing. And then she mentally facepalmed herself for sticking in this place not knowing where the Professor was or if he'd seen the banner before or not. "Hello, Professor," he ought to be the Professor, for he was opening the door, "Me? Nope." She did consider taking the blame, just to see his reaction, but..., "And trust me, it's the truth, I wouldn't take credit for someone else's job when I could've done a better one." The tone and her expression was very serious indeed."Not that I was planning to, or anything." Whatever she planned, didn't involve banners, it involved actions.
Some rustling and then suddenly excited barking (woofing for Botros) started, and a Crup rushed out the door to tackle one of Ab's legs. Real legs, not the cane. The professor's face beamed down at the pet and then nodded at the girl. "Good logic." Not that he believed her. But she'd make a brilliant student in his class. Was she one of his students already? He couldn't remember.

As for the banner, yeah. He just would've been way more impressed and fazed (positively) if the banner used Younger Futhark. "I believe you're here to see me, then? Come on in," he moved inside his office first though just in case Feo got any ideas about jumping on the couches outside and ripping them apart. Not that he could, he was too cute and as soft as Ab himself.

The Crup jumped behind the old man, but backwards. Better keeping those eyes on that other person. WOOF WOOF!

"Close the door behind you, will you?" Ab was almost at his station (the desk) when he threw the cane to the basket where all his canes sat and turned around to look at the kid.

Oh, dear Merlin! A crup! Oooooh, the Professor's crup. He was probably a softie. Lottie made no attempt to get closer to the crup, though, nor to the Professor. That cane meant he was one who could trip...and we don't want that.

'Good logic.'

BEAM! "Why, of course." Excellent logic. And at the compliment, she forgot if it mattered whether he'd believed her or not. Having 'good logic' was even better than trust. It meant you were smart, and she definitely was slightly conceited smart.

Another smile and another nod. "Yes." Since he was the Ancient Runes Professor and she was waiting at the Ancient Runes office. His logic was sound, too. For someone his age. So, of course, she stepped inside. And he didn't need to add the bit about closing the door, for there was no one else outside and she doubted he'd want the crup to start running around Hogwarts.

Door closed.

Lottie didn't take the liberty to sit down, she simply stood behind one of the chairs, taking in everything and anything that the man held inside this office. And that box...her eyes turned to the Professor after a second of looking at it and she smiled. "I'm Lotus Wisteria," she started to say, "Second year," barely, "And I've never taken Ancient Runes before." BEAM.

'Before.'

That meant she was taking it now? And what was it with the...handkerchiefs over there? Also, take notice at how her House was being kept out of mentions. And the 'WOOF's of the cruppie slightly ignored, even if her eyes fell on it once or twice.

Botros struggled a bit with his chair before he got it to turn around, he then sat down on it with a feeble sigh of relief. The kid was taking everything in apparently, so Ab gave her extra few seconds to focus back on the conversation. Meanwhile, Feo pranced over to his owner and demanded a go-fetch game. Not possible, of course. So Ab just patted the Crup on his head. "Pleasure to meet you, Lotus Wisteria." He gestured for her to take a seat. "You've never taken it before?" She still had time, though, so Ab was not entirely surprised or... appalled.

"That's alright, do you have any interest in Ancient Runes?" Now that was the important thing.

West was rocking on up for crup duties, as he'd agreed, you know so he could ask a bunch of questions after and all that. He did remember to knock. KNOCKKNOCKKNOCK.

AND he'd had thoughts and ideas! Perhaps he would share them. *shifty*.

Not until the man was finally sitting, did she feel relieved. He pretty much thought she was the one behind the banner, and what if he fell and someone entered? They'd think she was to blame, too.

Those knocks on the door didn't help either.

The girl still smiled, and took a seat the moment she was gestured to do so. See, Scabior? We don't have an attitude. "No, but I've been exposed to the Runic language," somewhat, because her aunt was rather fond of it. Lottie, of course, couldn't make sense of anything beyond the stick figures.

THIS was a very good question, "My aunt...she reads them...," or knows how, whatever that means, "...but I'm more attracted to the magical properties," she started to say, straightening up a little in her seat. Truth is, Lottie knew very little of Runes, and she was deciding on gaining more knowledge on the things she knew very little of. Makes sense? Very. "Because it is a form of wandless magic, or am I mistaken?"

Her question was, actually, the most important one. If it wasn't, then what was the point?

Feo automatically jumped and woofed at the knocking from where he stood by Ab's chair, not moving but jumping in his spot. Botros motioned for the Crup to slow down (which the pet of course didn't oblige to).

... exposed to the runic language is such a melodic expression. Botros' face brightened and he forgot about the pain in his knees for a moment. Oh and her aunt reads runic languages? How fascinating. "That's very inspiring. And... yes, runic magic is basically wandless magic - that's why we, wizards and witches, benefit from learning it so early. However, we can control it more and use it more productively if we do use the runic wands which are called gandrs." And that would be a LONG speech so...

"I hope you don't mind us having company, dear. I think that's an appointment I have there." His tone was just slightly apologetic before he raised his voice, "Come in!" As if on cue, Feo raaaaaced for the door to jump all over the newcomer.

Hopefully it was the appointment boy and not the headmistress.

Lottie's smile started to grow wider by the second. Inspiring. It was such a nice word, wasn't it? Also, he confirmed what she believed, and even added a little bit of information that was being withheld from her. Runic wands, say what?

The girl nodded, her wide smile a sign that these words were entirely and completely accepted by her ears. And her mind. "That is very interesting, actually," a little side of magic she didn't know, and now wanted to get acquainted with. SHE NEEDED A BOOK. After this, she'll be going to the library, of course, for she knew the Professor would only explain this in class, and it was sort of rude to ask of this outside - if he already taught it, which she assumed he did. Also, she could ask questions if she didn't understand.

Oh, the door? Lottie shook her head, she didn't mind at all, unless it was Milton, or Stone, or Dustbin. Any Ravenclaw - except Spike or Elliot - for that matter. Plus, she wasn't here for long.

"Is there...any book you would recommend, Professor, or the textbook would suffice?" Before the next lesson, that is. Lottie was definitely attending.

Oh this was gonna be awesome! Not that West wished he had anything BUT a Nile Monitor for his own pet, but Crups were cool and everything and it was nice to get a chance to play with one and all.

And he was even being greeted! West went in and dropped to his knees in front of the Crup to give his ears a scratch.

"Hiiiiiii." Professor. Crup. Lottie.

"Hiiiiiii." Professor. Crup. Lottie.

"Welcome." He greeted the young boy with the same smile he was offering the Hufflepuff girl before gesturing for him to take a seat opposite of her. Feo woofed excitedly and licked the boy's cheek before biting into his pants and pulling him toward the chair. Smart, well-trained Crup. Botros was proud. "Miss--" UHHH. "--Wisteria and I were chatting about Ancient Runes and the theory about it being basically wandless magic." The boy was a curious, sharp student. Botros figured it'd be very useful for him to join in.

With the help of his desk, Ab lifted himself off the chair and went for the bookshelves by his desk. "The textbook does not focus on Gandrs well enough - that's a big subject and department in Runology and Runic magic, but I believe you won't need more than that yet." His hand was a bit shaky as his fingers traced the bones of several books. "And I do have a pamphlet here that talks about how to attain magic from runes without the need to use Gandrs." That was the girl initial question, anyways. Botros snatched a small book with hardly fifty pages and walked back to his desk, handing it to the little girl.

"Maybe you'll feel more encouraged to take Ancient Runes after you read this." His face couldn't help but beam at the thought. "Don't you agree, Mr--" UMMM. "--Odest." Definitely the right surname.

Well. That was different. West wondered idly if he could train HIS pet to do that? To.... to fetch a person? He sat down, immediately perking up at the topic, since he'd just been expecting a crup and not runes.

"Odessa." And then words burst out of him, "I know how to invoke runes to do stuff! My dad showed me with blood -he's a Curse-Breaker- and less powerful but still cool, with red paint, and carving them and all that? AND I was thinking on account of you have that stick and well, you looked kind of tired? In class and all, that you could even let us," Well, him, but since Lottie was there he was nice enough to say us, "carve runes in it what might make you feel less..." old? "tired."

Oh and did he agree? YES he did. West nodded at Lottie and informed her in a by-the-way tone, "You can blow stuff up with runes."

Also, crup! West went back to scratching his ears and petting him.

The girl was almost ready to remind the man what her name was, thankfully, there was no actual need to do so. And she nodded at West. Not at her name, but at what the Professor was telling him about Runes. Yes, that's what they were discussing. Basically.

Oh? It doesn't? It was perfectly obvious Lottie hadn't even eyed the textbook, but she was planning to now, after this visit. She listened, intently, as she watched the man pick up a pamphlet...of maybe 40 pages or so? It didn't look like a pamphlet, it looked like a small book. An easy read, surely. It was immediately picked up by her, smile in place. "Thank you, Professor," that was exactly what she'd been looking for. Guidance before actually taking the step into Runes once and for all.

"Oh, no, I think I'd definitely take it," whether she had this book or not, "It's very interesting," BEAM, it was.

Wait, wasn't West's name Odessa?

Also, crup! West went back to scratching his ears and petting him.

And Lottie had been right. It was Odessa.

WOW. West was so lucky! Lottie had only when exposed to the language part of it all, which was already great, but she wanted the MAGIC. "Blood?" That was the only thing she wasn't so sure of.

Seriously? The second year blinked at West. Are we sure he didn't hang the banner outside? Also...us? She raised an eyebrow at him, but her eyes turned to look at the Professor, maybe catch a glimpse of his expression before nodding at West's idea of telling him he was ancient.

'You can blow stuff up with runes.' SMIRK. Awesome much?

Oh?

Oh, right. Odessa. He repeated it a few times in his head while the boy talked, but Ab was lost quickly again as he listened carefully to what was in Odessa's mind. His mouth stretched into a big smile, and when his Crup saw how glad his owner was with this boy, he let him pet and touch him. He even stood on his hinder-legs and would've wiggled his tail if he had one. The girl was completely ignored by the pet.

"That's just as inspiring!" Botros leaned forward to get closer to the kids, "And it definitely explains your astute participation in my class." He offered the boy a bright smile, that got even brighter when Odessa mused about carving some runes to help the professor be more energetic. Ab laughed lightly, "That's very considerate of you, really. I'm afraid that even runic magic--" He looked at their faces again. So eager, so innocent they thought they could bring some of his health back, so willing to try it.

He'd be a monster to destroy this. *dramatics*

Ab lifted himself off the chair again and went to the bookshelves. "I think you can help with doing a charm for me to hang in my office here and then in class when we're having one." He took one of his OLD university notebooks and set it on his desk. "Thurisaz, Eihwaz, Teiwaz... maybe even Uruz." He flipped through his notebook for a bit before smiling at both of them. "Did you learn any carving spells yet?" He could teach them later if not.

As for the blood with runes, Ab tried to explain, "By coloring the rune red, blood is optional but more powerful, you give the rune the color of life." Pause. "That's what most theories say, anyways."

Yesss blood. Of course blood. West nodded along with the color of life explanation given to Lottie but his interest was bouncing between the cruppy and some notebook on the desk, as well as what Botros was saying. Was it obvious West's father was his hero? It should've been.

"Oh yeah that'd be cool! Like... a bindrune kind of charm? With them all together?" He laced his fingers together and tied imaginary knots in illustration. "I know one! I know Intaglio where you say that and then repeat the rune you're carving over and over and over until you're done carving it."

Forget Herbology homework, this was way more interesting. #Westpriorities.

Oooooh. Astute, eh? So, this was the boy she needed to be closed to during Ancient Runes. She was beaming after gaining such knowledge. You've helped TONS today, Professor Botros.

I'm afraid that even runic magic--. Oh, Lottie knew what that meant. They could do very little to aid him. Sort of sounded like Airey's crushed dreams and hers. She could recognize those. However, he was still kind enough to let them try it. And while she understood little to nothing of what West was talking about (he was incredibly smart, by the way), she still listened, especially when runes were being mentioned. The second year was a quick-learner. "Unfortunately, I haven't," learned any carving spells, her blue eyes landed on West before settling on Professor Botros, "But I learn quickly," unlike some Ravenclaws she wouldn't mention.

Also, "Do you agree, Professor? With the theories?" who cares what others say, let's see what he thinks. But really, it was an interesting fact she didn't know.

A bindrune charm? Botros almost teared up, fuzzy proud feelings all over the young Slytherin. "You can keep them simply detached, if it helps your friend here to get to know them more." Then for Lottie's question, he nodded his head. "I agree with the theories, yes. I saw the powerful effect blood has when you try making a Gandr." It helps you to connect with the rune, feel and share the magic of the stave more too.

"That's exactly the charm I was asking about. The easiest one to use for runes." They didn't have to draw the actual shape of them with it. "We can both try teaching it to you, my dear, in the workshop later today." He smiled at the Hufflepuff girl and then gestured at Feo. "Mr. Odessa volunteered to walk my Crup, Feo, for me today." In case she wanted to join him. Ab opened his drawer as he continued to talk to them, taking out a small vial, "Now, I have to take care of some business. Why don't we agree to meet at the workshop later this evening?" Hmm?

Botros gulped down the vial of medicine and returned it to his drawer before locking it with a tap of his wand. From another drawer, he fished out a retractable leash and with a bit struggle stood up (third time in half an hour is enough for his knees). Feo automatically pranced toward his owner when he saw his stuff in his hand, Botros petted the obedient Crup as he clipped the leash on the collar around his neck and extended the end to the Slytherin boy. "Ready, children?" He needed to take a cane from the canes basket too.

West looked back at Lottie. She was all smiles huh? Well he'd been pretty excited when he first found out you could make stuff explode with runes too. Among other things of course.

"Bindrunes are prettier though, I think." Well what? Wasn't he allowed to think things were pretty? Too bad, because he did.

HE believed about the blood too. "My dad told me about one time where he was trapped underground where a tomb caved in, and his wand was on the other side of the rockfall and it was dark and the air was bad so he couldn't wait for help and he used a rock and cut his arm and then used his own blood to mark rune symbols and make light so he could see and then BLAST his way out!" With the BLAST came West's expansive arm gestures and big wide eyed eagerness. He very clearly idolised his father.

WORKSHOP. YESSSSSSSSSSSS.

He was nodding along about crup-walking but West's eyes were curiously on the vial. Last time he'd seen a professor drink medicine, he'd also ended up seeing that same professor with brains leaking out of her eyes and stuff. No sign of grey goo coming from Botros though. He stood and took the end of the leash, eager to go.

Ab was sure now that the boy idolized his father, it was not a bad thing - on the contrary, it gave the young lad great potentials of being a runologist if he wished. But this discussion was for later, he moved to the cane basket, grabbed one and waited for the kids to walk out the door (Feo happily prancing around and WOOFWOOF!), before Botros followed them and closed it behind them.

Vinteren, Erik Vinteren

Erik had been watching and waiting for the Ancient Runes office to empty, and finally, his patience was rewarded. He lurked out of sight in the shadow of a couch and waited for a few beats after the door closed and the professor, children, and crup left. Then he moved in.

Although the blonde man was disillusioned, he had taken the extra precautions of dressing completely in black and also wearing gloves. He turned the knob of the door and slipped in unnoticed. It was almost too easy, at first. The old man had even forgotten to lock his door...but then, he was as ancient as Thor's hammer.

Erik closed the door behind him and moved over to the desk. He started opening drawers, shifting through papers, looking...just looking...but not finding what what he was looking for. There were too many parchments and pocket hankies here to make sense of it all, and nothing at all gave any clues as to the office's previous occupants. He let out a frustrated grunt and moved over to the side coffee table, near where a beautiful glass box was hovering.

Oh. This. This he had to have. He was entranced by the both the power of the box and the magic of the spell holding it up. Erik removed his wand from the interior pocket of his jacket and started working on a counter-spell to safely remove the box. It took some work and a few beads of sweat appeared on his brow, but he figured it out at last. The mysterious man used his wand to draw some symbols in a semi-circle around the box's stool, and then muttered and tapped out a complicated runic pattern over the symbols.

The box released from its hold with a soft sound like the opening of an air lock. He noted the presence of two tiny vials in the box and removed them from it, tucking them back into his pocket. He started for the door.

Just before he turned the knob again to leave, Erik turned around and pointed his wand at the box, murmuring a protective spell and charm around it so it would float again. Now it was enchanted to become something of a wizard's bomb; whenever the next person entered Botros' office, the glass box would explode into thousands of sharp, glassy pieces projectiles sure to make an impression on whomever they hit. He smirked at the thought and finally left, just as silently and unobtrusively as he had entered.

"I bet Feo goes right to sleep after eating profe--" And then things happened. Loud and fast. West could feel little hot things like in a shower, except that part of him was blocked by the professor. He let out a little shout of alarm mingled with fright and surprise and then it stopped almost as fast as it had started, whatever it was.

West blinked at the professor. "Whaa... what happened?" There was a chunk of glass, no wider than his fingertip but about twice the length of his fingernail, just embedded in his forehead right above the eyebrow. Warm and sticky blood started to drip in his eye but West didn't really register what that even was, he was too surprised and still didn't understand what had even happened. He had a few bits of glass and scratches on his arms too, but that was it. The professor had shielded him from serious damage.

His attention though, went to the crup, and West knelt down.

"Feo?"

He had a few bits of glass and scratches on his arms too, but that was it. The professor had shielded him from serious damage.

His attention though, went to the crup, and West knelt down.

"Feo?"
Botros' eyes couldn't be any sadder and more aching at the sight of the piece of glass positioned right there, on the poor boy's forehead. Odest-- no, Odessa! Odessa didn't seem to notice or feel the blood seeping down, into his eyebrow. This was even more hurtful for the old man's heart.

He reached for his wand and sent a Patronus to the Healer, asking her to come over STAT. It was not good to go ahead and remove the shard of glass from the boy's forehead without the presence of a medic professional. He considered sending another message for the headmistress but the boy drew his attention to Feo.

The small Crup was seated on all four, one leg stretched forward as he whimpered and licked the small bloody wound. Another casualty of this-- well, WHAT was this?!! He certainly didn't put any explosive glass where he hung out all day and just forgot about it!

As quickly as any cane-less, adrenaline-high old man could move, Botros used his wand to try and reveal any trace of more cursed objects, spells, or even twisted pranks. The shards of glass had turned into sand-like dust, coating every surface in his office. He lowered his wand when he was sure no more hazardous objects were about to shower them with more dust of doom, no trace of underlying curses either.

He limped back to the boy, "You need to sit, son. At least until the healer gets here. Come." Botros didn't want to risk either one of them going to the Hospital wing with shards of glasses stuck in different parts of their bodies. He tried to help the boy up to his feet (which failed epically since Ab needed aid himself) and cleaned one of the chairs in front of his desk for the boy to sit on. He pursed his lips at the sight of the gash on his forehead, patted his shoulder, "You're a brave Slytherin."

And Feo. Another poor fella. Botros limped to the Crup and carried him gently in his arms, eliciting a long whimper from the injured pet. He was seated on the chair opposite of the one Odessa was supposed to sit in.

There was something missing though. The office didn't feel right, aside from the raining glass. A memory suddenly popped up in his head, he frantically turned around to where his stool stood with NO hovering glass box nearby. His protected, most valuable possession in this room was gone.

No. Dusted away and stuck in a boy, a Crup and an old man.

His heart fell, his anger started to rise and he stood, frozen for a moment, in front of the empty stool.

West squinted his one eye closed and reached up to touched it, bringing fingers away and then starting slightly at the sight of blood. But it didn't even really hurt?! What was going on? WHY WAS HE BLEEDING? The scratchy bits on his arms hurt more, but only in a stingy way, not in a serious way. It could be said that West hadn't really grasped the seriousness of what had almost happened. Feo got hurt though! When he was supposed to be looking after the cruppy! He had a sore paw!

He watched Botros do stuff, though West wasn't quite sure what except that he recognised the glass to sand spell for what it was, and then he was there and trying to help him up and that was weird wasn't it? Botros was OLD and he was trying to help HIM. West found himself in a seat next, pulling out strange bits of words like 'healer' (good, he liked Tillstorm and she would explain everything, he had every bit of faith) and 'brave Slytherin' (wasn't that an oxymoron?) and Feo whimpering.

Noting the professor turning and looking and then standing up again all of a sudden, two things finally dawned on West. 1) that weird glass thing was gone, and that was probably what the bits of glass had been, and 2) his ears were ringing a little bit.

"Did you get hurt? You should sit down TOO, professor." Cos he was old. "What happened? Are we safe? Is Feo okay?" And then, "I want my dad." Eye still squinted closed, West reached up tentatively and tried to find what was bleeding.

O_O
The kid's voice unfroze Botros and he moved to where the basket of canes sat, snatched one. He forgot to explain to the poor kid, "Yes, I'm alright. But there was a glass box over there," he said in a deeply hurt tone, moving back to where West and Feo were seated, much slower than before. No more adrenaline rush? "I believe that's where all the glass came from. I can't believe all this happened when there were protective runic spells guarding the box." He was disappointed deeply, aaaand still walking toward his desk.

"We are safe for now." The kid needed a smile... and something to protect his eye until the Healer got here. Botros couldn't offer the smile, it was more of a grimace than a smile really, but he could definitely tend to his eye. He conjured a bandage and a couple of adhesive ones. "You have a wound above your eyebrow, son, I'm going to cover your eye temporarily with this bandage so you don't have to squint all the time. There's nothing wrong with your eye so don't worry, but we don't want any blood to get into it." Pause. "I hope you like pirates." Because he'll be looking like one for a few moments.

It was impossible to squat in front of the chair, not even when he was shard-less and completely healthy. So he resorted to bending just a bit. With his wand he cleaned the blood that was already in the boy's eyelids before positioning the white bandage over his eye then the other two on either side to fix it in its place. The darned piece of glass glared back at Ab, he was even angrier at the sight than when he found out about his box. "Done." He patted the boy's head, "I believe we can send for him once you're in the hospital wing." His dad. This boy was obviously so attached to his father than most of his peers.Pat pat.

Moving over to Feo, Botros inspected the Crup's paw ignoring the pet's whimpers. "It's a clean wound as far as I can see." That was a relief. He conjured another bandages for the Crup and worked on his wound. It needed to be sterilized and checked for any tiny shards of glass thoroughly, but he had no energy to do all that when his head was swarming with thoughts, conspiracy ideas, and anger at whatever or whoever did this. Not to mention that the wounds in his leg and arm were starting to demand attention, throbbing more than before.

Super Slytherin Buddy - ⅓ She-Snake Trio || EVIL Healer

Cece rushed to the office of the Ancient Runes professor when she received a patronus from the ancient one him. The guy was so old he was probably having a heart attack or something like that so it was best not to waste any time getting there.

Not bothering to knock, the healer let herself in the room. What she seen when she looked around was not at all what she was expecting. “What in the name of all that is good and evil happened here? WHY is West bleeding?” And from the head no less.

Not waiting for an answer she rushed over to West to get that bleeding stopped. She was so fixated on the blood coming out of the boy’s head that she didn't even notice the old guy professor and the crup were injured too.

Someone OLD dude had some serious explaining to do here once she was finished cleaning West's head up.
