The Arithmancy Classroom has been rearranged (again), from its semi-circular format of the desks last class, to straight rows with clusters of three desks pushed together to create a bigger work space. Hadley is near the front of the room, focused on painting an picture, it seems...
Although she wasn't expecting any extra guests this lesson, there still seems to be a few extra chairs present; but all the chairs look the same and nothing to set any of them apart.

The last Arithmancy class she had was filled with numbers...numbers that gave her nightmares mind you. There were just so many of them...all closing in on her, yelling at her to know the answer to them!!! How in Merlin's beard was she suppose to know the answers? She wasn't some kind of Arithmancer or whatever they were called and she didn't care to be. Bloody numbers needed to mind their own business and find their own dreams instead of invading those of others. Hmph!
Lex hauled herself into the class, how else would she get herself here, and instantly noticed that there wasn't a big whole circle formation. GOOD! No more number games. Really. Professor Hadley should have known better. Numbers and games weren't compatible. Duh.
She looked on curiously at the Professor who seemed to be off in her own world...painting...yes...?
She dumped her bag in a seat then walked up to her. "Professor...?" She started, maintaining the curiosity. "Can I ask what you're working on?"

Hadley was patiently and craftily working on the artwork when she heard a student come in. She had to finish just few more strokes before she began the class or she wouldn't be able to continue where she left off and then it would just look .... fake. And if her paintings were one thing, they were not fake.
But of course the first student just had to interrupt her train her thought, which caused her to suddenly flick her wrist with the paintbrush in it, no doubt splattering paint droplets in front of her and possible on the student... "Oh sorry!" she said, flushing, at sight of the Gryffindor. "Oh, hi Alexa." She glanced down at her half-completed painting and then up at the second year. "This? Oh. I ... haven't decided yet, but I like to paint. I just haven't ... done it in awhile." And the mood struck her, so here she was; painting before teaching!

Jory had rather enjoyed the last Arithmancy lesson and he was really hoping this one would be a fun one as well. Because Arithmancy was one he didn't really excel in, the twister game for some reason had made the class much easier.
When the badger got to the classroom, he noticed his Head of House painting a picture. "Good day, Professor,'' he said, looking at her handiwork with interest. That's when he noticed a Gryffindor. The same girl who had tried to hex him in DADA. "Hi,'' he said with a grin. "Nice shot the other day in DADA.''
"I probably should go get a seat,'' Jory thought. He headed off to get one and wait for the class to start.

Entering the Arithmancy classroom for the second lesson of the term, Sky saw something that surprised her. Professor Hadley, painting. Odd. She heard Alexa ask what it was and listened to the answer as she found herself a seat. "It's pretty so far," she commented with a smile, sitting down.
She made work of getting out her textbook and parchment and quill, then before shoving her bag under her desk.

Sierra made her way down the corridor and toward the Arithmancy classroom. She hadn't done so well in that first class, so she had a lot to make up for now. She sighed as she saw the door ahead. She'd be so glad when she was graduated and her Arithmancy years were behind her.
Walking into the room, she cast a glance at the professor and said, "Hello, Professor Hadley." She smiled, a very polite gesture for her, and then found a seat. Hopefully the lesson wouldn't last too long. She always had the feeling of just wanting to pull her hair out when in Arithmancy class. There were just way too many numbers.

The last Arithmancy class hadn't been too bad, apart from NUMBERS and bending awkwardly everywhere and stuff. But this lesson, Alice was ready. She was in shape on account of Quidditch, y'know, and had secretly been practicing calculations under the sheets after lights out, so she felt a bit more confident about this next lesson. And if Hadley made them find more numbers, stretch or do cartwheels, even backflips, she would be prepared, mmk? She would.
"Hullo Professor Hadley. Nice painting," she stated, slipping into her usual seat. "What's it supposed to be?" 'Cause she couldn't tell from where she was sitting. And questions. Always. Every single time, there were questions.

Alyssa walked into the classroom and the first thing was Professor Hadley painting. She walked up to her. "Hello Professor Hadley. Nice painting." Alyssa greeted her Head of House, as she tilted her head to one side to see what Hadley was painting. She wondered why she was doing it now before class, but figured maybe it helped relax her. So Alyssa decided that she'd leave her to it.

Arithmancy! It was always a class that had intrigued Addie. Plus the teacher was really nice and taught interesting things so she therefore enjoyed the class. Though the last time was a little overwhelming with all of the numbers and calculations and stuff. It wasn't to bad, but it was indeed a lot. Smiling Addie walked into class only to find her professor painting.
"Hello Professor Hadley," she said brightly as she sat down at an empty table. "Your painting looks very pretty." Maybe they would be painting in that class. Who knew? Whatever it was Addie was sure it would be great!

Dylan entered the Arithmancy classroom, still not feeling 100 percent. His muscles were screaming at him to rest...but the Captain wasn't going to let it effect attendance. NEWTs were coming up next year and this was information he couldn't afford to miss.
Blinking at the desks that had been changed...AGAIN...he quickly found one and settled down into it. Merlin, his head was killing him. He was almost in desperate need of a potion...
Trying not to think about it too much, Dylan ran his hand through his hair a few times before looking towards the front of the room. He hadn't paid too much attention before...Professor Hadley was painting, though...
He also noted that no special directions were on the board, yet. Awesome...It just meant he was going to sit and chill until class started. That was good enough for him.
And as an afterthought..."Hello, Professor Hadley."

Time for another Arithmancy lesson and the redhead really hoped that this time her Professor would not have them write and play twister at the same time. Her hand cramped for DAYS after that little exercise. Ugh, seriously. She was not sure how she had pulled that lesson off but she had. In fact, she had been SO proud that she followed that lesson with a celebratory cookie as opposed to a regular cookie. Of course.
Walking into the lesson sort of dreading a repeat of twister she was thrilled to see that room was set up to a lesson format. UGH SCORE. No Twister in sight. She was totally safe. Yes.
She approached Professor Hadley and said, "Morning, Professor." With a curt nod, she took her seat.

Bliss had neutral feelings toward Arithmancy. She liked it for the fact that it was Professor Hadley teaching it, but she disliked it because frankly, it confused her. Though perhaps that she because she didn't make THAT much of an effort to understand. She had made an effort in Ancient Runes and that had paid off. So, maybe she should make more of an effort here, then she might understand it more and that would, as a result, make the lesson more enjoyable for her.
Either way she was excited for the lesson, she liked learning new things and seeing her friends in class. With a bounce in her step, Bliss made her way into the Arithmancy classroom. She noted that the seating arrangements had been changed yet again, but shrugged it off before taking a seat. "Good morning, Professor," Bliss chirped as she passed her.

What with the last lesson having involved Twister and the fascinating discovery that she and Jeremiah had the same life path number, Kendall had almost forgotten all her opinions that Arithmancy was scary and difficult. She still didn’t really like all the numbers and analysis, but there was the chance the subject might go up on her personal list of which subjects she preferred if the lessons continued to focus less on the math and the meanings and more on the fun. She would still learn them even if it was through games, anyhow. As long as it didn’t involve any more acromantulas or floods as well, but she was pretty sure class wouldn’t. At least, not when there was still the chance that people would be visiting the classroom to watch Professor Hadley teach. She didn’t want the professor getting in trouble either, which was why she’d kept the whole acromantula thing to herself aside from explaining it to Patrick last summer. She hadn’t told anyone else.
Stepping into the classroom, however, she was both pleased and disappointed. The desks were in groups, but nothing seemed to reveal that they would be playing any fun games. Just group work, and while she wasn’t against doing that, it hinted that they probably would be back to doing actual work. The only thing that brought a grin to her face was the sight of Professor Hadley up at the front painting, and she craned her neck to try to peek at the painting as she randomly chose a seat and dropped her bag on the desk. “You paint, Professor Hadley?,” she asked, an animated and highly interested tone to her voice. “Are we going to be painting in today’s lesson?” That was an exciting thought. She loved painting, and if there was some way that it could be connected to Arithmancy, that was another reason why the subject might not be as horrible as she’d originally thought.

Um...well actually, it wasn't so bad because it was blue! But she felt bad that she'd might have possibly ruined the woman's work. This thought made her scowl a bit. This was why she needed to stop being the first person to arrive at Arithmancy. Bad things usually happened. She herself hated when people messed with her work yet look what she just did. "It's okay Professor." She quickly put it, glad the woman didn't sound nearly as upset as she should. "It's blue and everything so I don't mind." BEAM.
She stared at the woman for a moment, trying to think about what she just said. "Interesting...but then...if you don't know what it is...how will you know when it's done...?" That was a rather curious thought.

There was now someone else in the room. A whole bunch of someone elses and one of them was supposedly talking to her. She looked over and spotted the Hufflepuff boy who was quick on his feet. Yeah...she wasn't very happy that she missed. In her mind, people needed to stand still so she could hex their face off in peace...or in this case..their feet.
Still, she returned his grin. "Thanks, but it wasn't a good enough shot seeing as a missed." She'd have to work on that.

Sarah bounced in, always ready as usual for the lesson. New layout- interesting, she observed.
She tried to get a closer look at what the teacher was doig, painting or something. "Hello Professor" she said deciding not to be rude, "what are you painting? I like to paint. What art media are you using - I mean what kind of paint is that?" Sarah said asking a lot of questions as usual

Rushing over to the Arithmancy classroom, Daichi opened the door and entered. He wasn't late but this was the third lesson he had almost been late at! This was unacceptable in his book and with a sigh he walked to the professor to greet her first.
Unaware that his Prefect badge was pinned upside down when he had rushed over, he ran a hand through his red brownish hair as he raised an eyebrow when he noticed that the woman was...painting?
"Hello Professor..uhm...you didn't happen to visit Professor Flamsteed right?" cause so far he knew, that man liked to paint...even if it were toys.

Ok, he had to admit it. Alex didn't think the last lesson had been THAT bad. He hoped that this lesson would be somewhat on the same level otherwise he might take a little nap. Not on purpose but--he hadn't had his coffee today so he was making no promises.
"Hello Professor Hadley," he said with a smile. He was still trying to stay on her good side since he was on the top points earner board. Hehe.

Oakey hurried into Arithmancy! He was sure he wasn't late, but when it came to coming from the Owlery all the way down to the second Floor one could never be too sure. He was up there double checking on his Eagle Owl Valentine who was still acting suprisingly nice.
"Hiya Professor Hadley." Oakey said as he laid his things out on the closest desk he could find that wasn't occupied, he wasn't even sure who he set his things next to.
Ethan was in a fairly good mood as he headed towards the Arithmancy classroom. Professor Hadley seemed to have a way with making the class interesting and he was vaguely curious to see what they were in store for today.
The sixth year walked into the room, noticing Hadley working on a painting. "Good morning, Professor," he said as he walked by and gestured towards her artwork. "Nice work." Glancing around the room, Ethan took the first empty seat.

She was a little unsure about how Arithmancy would go today. Last time they'd done tons of calculations and it'd made her head hurt a bit. But that didn't bother her as much as having the blood rush to her head while she was stretched in a weird position on a Twister mat. She was relieved to see the rows in the classroom were back and there was no game board in sight. But why three desks pushed together? What will be doing today? she wondered as she entered she room.
"Hi Professor!" she said cheerfully as she tried to see what she was painting. She thought it would be sort of rude to ask what it was, in case it was really obvious to her. The professor might be offended if Eliza couldn't tell what it was, and then she might ask her what number represented creative vision or something like that and she really wouldn't have known the answer, so instead of asking - she just went and found a seat near Ethan and waved hello. "Hi Ethan, I've been meaning to tell you - great scores in the last quidditch match!" she said with a big smile.

"Hi Professor Hadley!" The blonde greeted with a smile, eyeing the painting curiously. Hmm. Would they be making art today?
Oh, and there as Oakey worm looking a bit disheveled. The sight made Ella smile a little and she went over to sit next to the older boy, placing her bag on the floor next to her. "Hi Oakey." Beam.

Ella placed her Arithmancy book, some parchment, and a quill on her desk and eyed her friend curiously as he grinned. The boy looked extremely happy and the fifteen year old couldn't help but feel curious about it. Oh! And she was meant to guess why he looked so giddy? Hmmm...well since class hadn't started she figured she'd take a stab at it.
The blonde turned to her friend and whispered, "Did you get the go ahead to play Quidditch?" Cause the boy had missed the last match, something she was still confused about. Quidditch seemed like a good enough reason to be all smiley to Ella.

"Thank you," Fina said, as a few of them noticed her painting. She looked down at it; it would have to be finished later, because she had completely lost her focus on the painting now. Hm? What was that some of them asked? What was it supposed to be?
"I don't paint with intent to paint something... i just kinda of ... let my fingers do the strokes and let myself feel it." So in other words, she had no idea what it was going to be yet. But if she didn't feel it, then she couldn't paint, which was also why she hadn't painted in awhile.

"When the mood strikes me, yes, I do paint," Fina nodded to the young Ravenclaw. As for her next question, she would just have to wait and see and thus, she left that question unanswered.

Oops! She had gotten paint on the second year! Her cheeks flushing slightly, she frowned. Though Alexa didn't seem so unhappy because it was ... blue spots that she had now on her robes! "Still, I'm really sorry, I just... I should have been more away of the time, but I just had become so lost in my work." As tended to happen when she was in the moment.
"Art is a funny subject like that.... but well, I'll know when it's done because ... it will just look done. It's just ... so subjective..." Mmhm. Then an idea crossed her mind; "How about, to make up for splattering you with paint, when it's done, you can have it." Just because.

Uh what? What would visiting the Astronomy Professor have to do with her painting? Hadley stared at the Slytherin Prefect for a moment or two, before shaking her head in confusion.... "I'm not quite sure what you mean... But I see him at meals, usually." Which was a good thing to know your colleagues didn't skip meals.
"We'll just give a few more minutes for people to arrive..." Hadley said out loud, as she began putting away her brush and paints for the timebeing, so not to accidentally get paint everywhere. She cast a quick non-verbal drying spell on the painting as well, as she set off to the side too.

There was still around ten minutes before Kat was declared LATE for Arithmancy. Well it wasn't her fault her things dropped and messed at the corridor, and nobody helped her. Rude, yeah? She didn't really care as long as she wasn't late for any class. It would break her record, just saying. And she wouldn't want to lose any point for the Queen of Puffers. Hmm. Kat brisk walked pass the corridor to the Arithmancy classroom and arrived there in five minutes. She wasn't laaate!
Sigh. Kat offered a smile to the Professor. "Hello, professor Hadley," she greeted. "Lovely painting." She noticed the painting first... Since it was in the middle (but now at the side) and could be seen by ALL. Afterwards, she took a seat and waited for the latecomers.
