Tippin cocked his head to the side, allowing his ears to flop about too. "Miss Gryffindor's concern is most kind. Tippin must wash his ears. Tippin is 'all right', miss." Quote:
The small house elf tried a smile at the Prefect studentsie, but then squeezed his eyes shut. Concentration was needed. |
Text Cut: Sutton, Isaac and Tippin A... what? He stared at her in surprise with his mouth half open. What was he supposed to say to that?! They'd not been friends for long, but apparently it seemed like they'd known each other all their lives. He glanced at Isaac and threw him a look of 'I don't know' with a hint of a shrug. He didn't know how female brains worked. Isaac's reflexive action had Ed smiling apologetically at him, he hadn't meant to remind him of the pain. Sutton's reaction to the train being mentioned had him feeling lost. What did they do? Drop the subject like it hadn't happened or carry on talking about it to make her comfortable? He shrugged in response to her question, but looked to Isaac for some reassurance for Sutton's sake. He gave her a reassuring smile. "Don't worry. If anything happens this year, come and find us. We'll look after you." He'd totally just volunteered Isaac too, but he was sure he wouldn't mind. Watching her approach to the elf, Ed paused to listen to his reaction, but frowned at the answer. "Uh, wash your ears? Did you hear something bad?" He was thinking that maybe someone had said something about the Headmistress that the elf had found unbearable to hear. They were loyal to their masters and mistresses, right? |
Text Cut: Tippin, Isaac, and Ed Sutton let out a little laugh when Tippin called her a Gryffindor. "Oh, Tippin, I'm in Hufflepuff, actually! But I don't understand... washing your ears... with soap and stuff... I don't think that's really good for you, is it?" she asked with a concerned look. But then the Gryffindor Prefect was there with Tippin, too, and Sutton gathered that the older girl probably had a better understanding of how to deal with the house elf. Getting back up from where she crouched on the floor, she walked back over to the two older boys, deciding to move on from the awkwardness she had obviously created with the comment about their bickering. Her bright green eyes flicked between the two of them as Ed said they'd look after her, and she beamed at the both of them, "Do you mean that? I mean... not that I get in loads of trouble or anything because I'm actually terrified of getting in trouble, but if something bad happened... you guys would... want to... make sure I was okay?" Yes... that sounded the least lame. For some reason, Sutton felt inexplicably safe in the kitchen with the two boys. She was sure it was probably just about the safest she could ever remember feeling... |
SPOILER!!: Harry174 In her sweetest voice, Tinka said, "Oh yes, miss just go helps herself to anything! Miss just ask if she need anything." Tinka was busy at the moment, after all. "Yes, Tinka whisk whisk whisk as much as Tinka can!" And at the next statement... Tears flooded her eyes. "Tinka have whiskie... all to Tinka self?!" Cue hysterics. "Oh, Tinka.. Tinka NEVER have own whiskie before!" The elf latched onto Laura's leg and began to wail. "Oh Miss Laura so noble, so kind! Miss take notice of little Tinka!" Elfsy fingers wrapped around the Hufflepuff's robes, the elfsy nose made a loud HONK! sound as the entire contents were emptied onto the clothing. SPOILER!!: Cassirin Tinka like Vivi! Vivi excited and move her arms with Tinka! Elfsy arms wrapped around the girl. "Miss grow up so big, so tall!" Big smile. "Oh yes, Miss Vivi go head, go head!" The elf's large, orb eyes were glowing. "Miss Vivi just let Tinka know if she need anything!" Tinka bowed low let her get to her baking. SPOILER!!: sweetpinkpixie The little elf bowed low. "Tinka live to serve Miss Kurumi and friends!" And with another hug of the Prefect's leg for good measure, Tinka let them get to their baking project. |
Slipping inside the kitchen, the nervous redhead allowed the portrait of a bowl of fruit to close quietly behind her. She remained at the entrance, however, wringing her hands and looking around; she was perhaps a little nervous that there actually was a Hufflepuff barbeque going on in the kitchens but when her nose didn't corroborate Peeves' story, the Headmistress seemed to breathe a sigh of relief. Her face still showed anxiety though. "House elves? Algamus? Argyle? Nimma? Schmoooop?" Anyone? Everyone? Annie took a tiny step closer to the House Elf Zone. "I need to speak with an elf..." Preferably the head elf, really. He was supposed to be in charge here. |
SPOILER!!: Mistress Truebridge Argyle was sweeping near the fireplace because Argyle hated when the soot got all over Argyle's spotless floor. Argyle wouldn't have that, no she wouldn't. Argyle would keep the kitchen clean and shiny for the studentsies and staffsies. Hearing her name, Argyle's large pointy ears twitched and she hurried over to the speaker, bowing when her big round eyes caught sight of the Headmistress. "Headmistress Truebridge, Argyle will help you. Argyle is happy to serve. Argyle can get the job done." |
Quote:
"Beezley is here, Missus," she said, stepping into the part of the kitchen the headmistress was in. "Beezley is here for whatever Missus needs." The elf came to a stop when she was a good distance away from the headmistress and looked up at her with wide eyes. |
for Lili/Coul ^_^ Penelope...wasn't feeling all that great, so she'd decided to wander aimlessly around the castle...which eventually led her all the way down to the kitchen. This was good. Food could usually get her mind off things and make her feel better, so after tickling the pear and gaining access to the door, she entered the kitchen and began looking around for any sort of food that would catch her eye |

He definitely wasn't himself. The boy was dressed in black sweatpants and a dark gray sweatshirt that was far too big for him. The hood was up and over his head, hiding his red puffy eyes just incase he had run into anyone, which thankfully he hadn't. The third year rubbed at his eyes as he pushed open the kitchen door, clearly distracted. |
Quote:
Glancing over at them, she didn't instantly recognize who it was, since their face was mostly hidden by the hood on their sweatshirt. But that didn't matter. They were here in the kitchen like her, and they probably wanted something to eat too. After swallowing the last bite she took, she asked, "You want an apple too?" She was willing to share the fruit after all. |
The headmistress was kinda in there way but Dora managed to get around her and over to where the long tables where. "No fire." She might have looked a bit disappointed about it, but her mind was still imagining what that kind of fight would have been like and who's side she would have taken. She was also wondering what the headmistress was doing down here, but that wasn't nearly as fun to think about as a battle in the kitchens. "What do you wanna snack on?" |
*eyes Patrice* Children. Children. There were too many children here, and not enough house elves. Anastasia was starting to feel smothered, and more panicky than ever. What had happened to those days when the entrance to the kitchens was a tightly-kept secret??!? Quote:

"Can you help me find it, please? I thought... maybe Toddles had taken it, at first, then I thought....it was just lost... or a student borrowed it....but I don't know anymore." She fought back a sniffle and pointed to the lapel of her blazer. "I'm mmissing my brooch...my beautiful green brooch. Please help me find it." She hadn't gone ANYWHERE without it ALL TERM. And now... NOW SHE FELT NAKED! And scared, for some inexplicable reason.... |
Edmund, Isaac, Headmistress... Posting even though it isn't my turn cuz I wanna play! Text Cut: Headmistress Sutton was smiling at the boys, waiting for an answer, when she heard someone else come into the kitchen and start talking to the house elves. Turning at the sound of the voice, Sutton saw the headmistress standing a little bit away from where she, Isaac, and Edmund sat talking and eating sandwiches. The headmistress seemed REALLY upset, saying something about her brooch missing. As she looked at the woman, Sutton saw that the green pin she'd been wearing all term (even when it clashed with her outfits) was gone. Though she hadn't seen the headmistress much, the fact that she'd been wearing it every time Sutton had seen her struck her as odd. Maybe it was a gift from someone she'd lost or something... that would be a good reason to wear it. Deciding that maybe she could help, Sutton spoke up to address her. "Um... Headmistress Truebridge? Is there anything I can do to help? I mean... could I post a notice in our Common Room or something to tell people it's missing?" she asked, blinking up at the strong, confident woman who was suddenly looking so... dejected. Trying to think of any other ways she could help, another thought came to her mind. "Headmistress... why can't you just summon it?" she asked in a genuine tone of curiosity. Sutton had just started working on the summoning charm in her spare time, and she figured that perhaps she didn't understand how it worked completely. |

Laura then suddenly saw the Headmistress in the room, when had she come in, Laura hadn't seen it but all she knew was that the headmistress seemed really upset about something. "Headmistress, I can help you if you want?" Laura smiled. |

Moving on! As Cassia entered the kitchen accompanied by Dora. She looked around and nothing seemed to be happening here, no students on ovens or anything out of the ordinary. Just the working house-elves and some hungry students. Oh and the headmistress who was talking to two house-elves. The snake followed the eagle towards the long tables her head facing the floor because Cassia didn't actually want to encounter the headmistress because last time she did on the train it wasn't a very cool first impression Cassia had given. And she hoped that red-headed woman had forgotten about that. She should have forgotten as she encounters so many students every day, true? TRUE. Back to the important stuff. "Cookies." Cassia answered Dora matter-of-factly pushing her hands into her pockets. The second-year beamed at the other girl, "Cookie and tea are what we need now. You know we've just been experimenting and stuff. " She said grinning. Yup the Snake had already forgotten about any rumor of a battle. |
SPOILER!!: The Bunzinator Tinka shuffled over to where other elvsies were with the Headmistress. It was elfsies' duty to help Missus Truebridge whenever she needed it! "Oh Missus Headmistress lose her broochy?" Elfsy eyes bulged and elfsy ears twitched. "Tinka do everything Tinka can to find Missus' broochy!" Her arms began to flap up and down, up and down. She turned to Argyle and Beezley. "Argyle, Beezley, Tinka make search party? We look all over the castle for Missus' broochy! This be bad bad bad!" More arm flappy. "Tinka go right now, Tinka go look!" SPOILER!!: Harry174 Cue more tears. "Miss be so kind! Tinka no deserve such treatment!" More nose blowing. "Tinka so happy! Tinka fine!" ..And why was this studentsie even down here, again? She couldn't remember, what with all the excitement. So after a quick elfsy bow and repeated thanks, Tinka headed for the other side of the kitchen to tell all her elfsy friends. |
*stare back at Roro* Quote:
Her eyes wondered then she leaned forward so only Cassia could hear her mostly. "The Headmistress and older students are all hogging the house elves though. I think we gotta feed ourselves. I can make tea. Wanna see if we can make out own cookies?" The second year had never really made cookies, though she'd read about it. So it would be easy as tea, right? Totally. |
SPOILER!!: Headmistress The headmistress was all teary and Argyle felt her own large eyes growing watery too. The elfsies would help Headmistress find her lovely broochie! They wouldn't let her be sad for long. No they wouldn't. "Argyle will look all over! Argyle will help you find it, Headmistress. Argyle promises." She would look day and night for the broochie. The broochie had to be hiding somewhere in the castle. It had to be. SPOILER!!: Tinka Argyle nodded her big elfsie head at Tinka. "Search party, yes. Tinka make search party! Argyle will search the great hall. Argyle will help find Headmistress' broochie! Poor missing broochie. Poor Headmistress" This wasn't good. Not good at all. The elfsies had to find the broochie for Headmistress right now. |
omg you elves are SO CUTE! *squishes* Quote:

"I...I don't know what to say, girls," she stammered at first, suddenly finding her words as she grasped at their offer. "But I suppose I would appreciate the help, yes....yes I would. Please, just find my brooch. It's Egyptian, and green, and I love it to pieces...." And she had no idea where it was at the present either. Quote:

"Thank you, darlings, I can't say thank you enough." She made a motion like she was going to hug the two house elves but then thought better of it and stood up at last. "Remember, it's small, green, and... kind of looks like a flower... please, scour the castle for it. Spread the word. Look EVERYWHERE." The redhead paused for a moment. "Especially in Toddles' things. He might not have even realized what he had, if he was the one who took it." |
Red-head lady boss and other Elfsies Toddles had been sleeping all morning Yep, he could be missing fun. Toddles strolled out of the sleepy room with a little yawn and a biiiiiiiig stretch so they knew he had been sleeping and used a tiny fist to rub one of his huge eyes. He was still wearing the white studentsie underwear hat he had found in the laundry, his two large ears sticking out of the leg holes. Suddenly he heard his name and the Redheaded Missus that was now the boss lady saying he may have something of her's. "Misses, Toddles didn't take your metal flower thing, he thinks it is pretty, yes but Toddles doesn't steal. Nope." he shook his head quickly, looking at the other Elfsies. |
Ed and Isaac, too Quote:
Running back over to Edmund and Isaac, she gave them a smile. "Sorry! I'm going to go help! See you around?" she asked not really expecting an answer, and then she was on her way out of the kitchens. |

"Yeah I'm sure it's not hard to be figured out." Cassia shrugged. They could make cookies why wouldn't they be able to? They are cool so they could."I think we should start making the cookies first because tea won't take much time to be made, right?" The second-year looked around her as if looking for a recipe that will suddenly pop up. Well, nothing popped up. "I know that we need flour and butter." She turned to Dora. Cassia only watched her grandmother making cookies but not so closely. Hopefully she could remember the other ingredients. Though they needed to find where House-elves kept them. "Oh and I have my wand with me. If we needed some spells" She said patting her pocket. And she wasn't going to tell Dora that she didn;t know many useful spells. Leave it to the girl to find out "Do you?" Surely all students carry their wands ,right? Or was it only the snake. |
Melanie was pretty sure she could get to the kitchens without getting lost. She'd just have to walk down. A lot. After being at Hogwarts for well over a month, she still wasn't sure where everything was and had a hard time finding places. Melanie hadn't found the time to explore the castle either... it was hard to admire the views and the whatnot when one was running off to find their classroom. Which was why today was nice. Fall had settled in and she was free to stroll the hallways of the school... wait. Corridors. That was what people called it. Humming a song as she walked, the Gryffindor made her way to the kitchens for a snack. Hopefully to pack a little bit of something in her bag so she could go outside and eat as she walked... or get some noodles and eat that before going outside. Either way, Melanie hoped to go outside. Now... kitchens... kitchens... ah. There was the portrait thingy. If she was correct she'd just have to tickle the fruit... erh... which- the apple? No - the pear. Feeling a bit awkward, the Gryffindor "tickled" the pear and walked into the kitchens, standing by the portrait hole for a moment and wondering what to head towards next. |
SPOILER!!: Melanie! Ella was hungry per usual so the third year headed down the corridor, eyes focused on the pear painting dead ahead. She was in the mood for something chocolate-y and delicious and was sure the house elves would have just what she wanted. Mmmm. Maybe there were some fresh chocolate chip cookies or something! That would be lovely. When she got to the portrait, the blonde tickled the pear with a wide smile on her face. She was SO close to delicious food and her stomach was grumbling just thinking about sweets. Why didn't she bring some gummy worms along for the walk? Sheesh. It would have at least calmed her stomach a bit. Oh well, it wouldn't be long now. Ella made to enter the kitchen, mind on what she might be able to consume before her next class, when she walked directly into someone near the portrait hole. O____O "Iamsosorry!" ...whoops. |
