Vivi scurried through the greenhouse, bottle in hand, to catch up with Kurumi. She was only just on time, when she liked to be early, and so she felt late. And Kurumi had begun without her, hadn't she?

Sigh. Traitorous Gryffindor!

"Didja find something?" She passed Kurumi and gave some love to low hanging leaves and flowering plants. There was a lovely flowering morning glory just opening, and Vivi marveled a bit at getting to see such a lovely spring flower when it was snowy outside.

"You know what a morning glory means?" She sprayed the flower with her minsecticide before dropping into a crouch beside the bush Kurumi was examining. Something eating it up?

Kurumi was slowly turning over a leaf and chewing on her lower lip at the holes in it wondering if it was too late to be spraying this plant for prevention of an infestation when she jumped slightly at Vivi's voice. "Um...not exactly..." she mumbled. "I think this flutterby bush has already been infested with some sort of bug though...it's leaves are full of holes already." Cue some more spraying any from her spray bottle, which cause the bush to shiver and wiggle a bit.

Kurumi ceased her spraying at Vivi's question and looked at the Ravenclaw curiously. "I do, actually," she replied, giving the bush she was working on a few more sprays and then turning over a few more leaves to check the back sides of them for...egg colonies? Kurumi wasn't entirely sure what she was looking for to be honest. "Mother had me trained in the language of flowers for ikebana. That's Japanese flower arranging." Spray spray turn leaves over spray spray. "They mean love in vain...." Cue another curious look in the blonde's direction. "Why do you ask?"

Hannah made her way down to the greenhouse her Minsecticide spray in hand. She knew what she had to do but honestly she really wasn't in the mood to do much today. She had so many things going on in her mind that she was severly distracted. Oh well at least this task wouldn't take that much concentration. She just had to spray down some plants for preventive measures right? Simple.

She was trying to get her eyes to see what was in front of her rather than the things that were playing in her mind. Plants Hannah...focus on plants. She noticed that there were two older girls there most likely doing the same thing that she was. She walked over to the first row of plants. This worked on any kind of plant or flower right? Surely.

She walked up to a bush that she was not familiar with at all. She inspected it and there didn't seem to be any signs of an infestation. That was good right? Considering her spray was a preventive right? Heck...she should have paid more attention in class. She always did this to herself. She picked her her arm that held the spray bottle and gave the bush a healthy spray. You're welcome bush!

"I don't want to alarm you," Vivi sat back on her heels in order to get a fuller picture of the bush in question. The shivering and movement was natural for this type of bush, but there was something a bit... more to the movement. "I'm not sure the bugs have moved on."

She sprayed the bush herself and washed how it reacted with a squinty-eyed expression. Definitely something strange... or maybe she was imagining it.

"Oh, no reason," she gave Kurumi a big-eyed innocent look, which was especially funny coming right after the squinting. "My mother taught me about the language of flowers, and I've always found it interesting. I mean, I like flowers, but it's almost like a code. You can say so much and only those who are in the know will realize you're not just handing over something pretty." Not because she found any particular significance in morning glories. Nope.

Kurumi wrinkled her nose as she continued to look through the leaves, spraying more of the solution onto the bush as she went. Even the bush next to it seemed to be infected with whatever insect it was. "I do alright with bugs...just as long as they aren't spiders..." Kurumi grumbled as she continued her work.

Spray spray spray spray.

Kurumi stepped back and observed the plant. Yeah...it was trembling a bit too much for a flutterby bush...and in the wrong manner as well.

"You...don't suppose it is something big, do you?" She had a few vivid images in her head right now and didn't fancy any of them showing up suddenly from the branches of the bush.

Spray spray spray spray.

Kurumi's attention was thankfully away from creepy crawlies and back to Vivi when she spoke - and she wasn't entirely sure she believed the Ravenclaw. "I used them once like that, to deliver a message to someone," she replied, chewing on her lower lip. "That didn't work out the way I had hoped though." And some awkward spraying now. "I used them to confess my feelings to someone, but he didn't return them..." It had all worked out in the end though. Everything happened for a reason, right?

Just like there was a reason the branches of the flutterby bush were moving uncharacteristically again........

"I think it's something huge," Vivi fully backed away from the plant and pointed her spray bottle at a different one. You know... just in case they were annoying whatever was in there. It could chase and eat Kurumi. Vivi was planning to live to see another day.

"We should have brought doxycide. Something stronger than a preventative." She observed helpfully. Vivi sprayed another flutterby before crouching to examine these leaves as well. Less holey. She was probably safe down here.

"What flowers did you use?" This particular line of thought was very interesting to her, especially as she'd been trying to communicate in flowers with someone recently and rather thought it was lost on him. "How did you... know he didn't feel the same way? Did he give the flowers back, or respond in kind?"

Something huge? Well that was an unsettling thought...

Trying to ignore the endless images that were swimming around in her head right now, Kurumi continued to spray the flutterby bushes, finding more and more holes in the leaves as she moved away from Vivi. Erm...probably not a good idea to stick around here much longer - especially with the bush shaking the way it was right now.

Spray spray spray spray.

"I...don't really remember," Kurumi blushed, finding herself distracted for the time being. "I was a third year, a naive one at that, and I ended up explaining what the flowers meant..." Which implied that she really SHOULD remember what they were. Then again, that moment in the Trophy Room had been one that she had rather forget seeing how hurt she had been afterwards - even more so once Sierra had polyjuiced herself as Kurumi and made things worse. "He ended up telling me he fancied someone else, had been for a while as it turned out." She bit down on her lower lip as she sprayed some more...and the bush shook a little more violently. Uuuuuh... "I-I don't regret doing it though and we are actually best friends now. Everything happens for a reason, right?"

Kurumi's eyes flicked back to the bush now. The bush that almost seemed ANGRY that it was being sprayed with minsecticide...and then there were legs. Lots of them. LOTS OF THEM. "Uhhh....V-V-V-Vivi..." Kurumi stammered as she held up her spray bottle towards the small but frightening army of creatures that was now emerging from the planter. "B-B-B-Blast-Faced Skrebeetles!"

Run?

"I hate it when people say that. Everything happens for a reason." It was a cop out for those too weak to accept that sometimes bad things happened for no reason at all. Sometimes things didn't go your way and you just had to live with it. She shoved herself up and away from the bush, especially because it appeared that Kurumi had finally angered whatever was inside.

Bugs. Lots of them. Hairy, leggy, ugly things. UGH. "We should have brought something MUCH MUCH stronger," she decided, giving the bush another spray, which didn't seem to do much more than anger the big bugs.

"Run awaaaay," Vivi caught up Kurumi's arm and dragged her toward the door of the greenhouse. They could just continue this... elsewhere. And quickly. They should very quickly be elsewhere.

Kurumi would have responded to Vivi's comment, but the appearance of all those frightening looking creatures took the words right out of her mouth - including the scream that sort of wanted to make its way out as well.

"Yeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaah," Kurumi said, spraying in the bugs' direction just for good measure and out of wishful thinking. They DID hesitate for a moment, but simply continued on their creepy crawly path forward.

Kurumi felt her body lunge backwards as Vivi tugged on her arm. Run away? "J-Just what I was thinking," she squeaked. "Student garden!" The door should stop the creature from venturing out of the greenhouse, right?

And they could tell Professor Bentley about the infestation...later.

Deciding that she had sprayed the unfamiliar bush enough she was off to search for another plant to spray. She couldn't help but to wonder if this was a preventive measure or if this was something that needed to be sprayed on after there was an infestation. She was pretty sure it was preventive, but she couldn't help but to be disturbed with herself that she hadalready forgotten. The Herbology lesson wasn't that long ago. She would go up to her common room and study she promised herself. Then she remembered that they were locked out of their common rooms...fantastic.

Why didn't any of these plants look familiar to her? She was going to have to pay more attention in Herbology and take notes...that was all there was to it. She strolled down another roll and decided to spray a plant that looked mean. Yes the plant actually looked mean. It had long leaves that looked like the curled up into an evil smile. Ugh! Hannah needed to get out more. She brought her spray bottle up level to the plant and went to town. Spray, spray, spray. Man her arm was starting to feel sore. Maybe she needed to work out too? Merlin...her mind was everywhere today. Focus on the task at hand she scolded herself.

Spray, spray, spray. She sprayed every inch of the plant until it was soaking wet. She wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not so she slowly moved away in search for another plant. Nobody say her over do it. She was sure that nothign bad would come of it. If anything that particular plant was super protected. What else should she spray?

Armed with a bottle in his right hand, Daichi made his way to the Greenhouses to do the second task. He had neglected the first *mission* so he was missing points and after the Headmistress had taken away points from him which had been unfair in his mind he new he should work even harder to atleast earn some points.

He opened the door leading inside the greenhouse and scanned the place with his chocolate brown eyes. So he only needed to check the plants and spray Minsectiside on them? Shouldn't be difficult to do!

The Slytherin planned looking at the plants on the right side first since no one seemed to be there yet. He walked a few steps and then bend his back a little to check the normal looking plant. But before he touched it, he quickly moves his hand away as if he had gotten a shock. Maybe he should wear gloves, just in case. He hadn't thought about bringing them with him though....

He looked around and noticed a cupboard at the back of the room. Perhaps he could borrow a pair? He quickly walked to the place and opened the door. He checked the inside and indeed found a good pair of gloves. Daichi put them on and went back to his previous place.

The weather was unusually warm for the winter months so Aurora wasn't really looking forward to doing her Herbology Task Force assignment in a really hot greenhouse

She, a bit reluctantly, entered the bigger greenhouse carrying her bottle of Minsectiside. She decided that she would zero-in on a particular area today and get it down as soon as possible. With that in middle she walked directly to her chosen section and despite wanting to finish quickly, she made sure to give attention to each plant making certain that each plant got a good dose of Minsectiside.

She was ready to spray some more plants. She walked over to another roll of plants and again didn't recognize any of them. She decided to just give it another go on another random bush. It's not like the spray would hurt them right? Right! So spray she did. Spray, spray, spray.


Spray, spray, spray... when all of a sudden something came flying out of the bush and went straight for her face. "AHHH!" she didn't know what it was because everything had happened so fast. All she knew for sure was that she was under attack and whatever that thing was, was out for blood. Maybe he didn't care for the preventative spray too much? Not that a preventative spray would do much if this bush was indeed infested already. Hannah was flailing her arms and trying to cover her face.

She decided that she needed to get as far away as she could from this bush and this whole roll of plants. She ran as fast as she could spray bottle in tow to the front of the greenhouse. She took a moment to catch her breath and slow her heartbeat. She didn't want to have to come back in here. She was ready to complete the assignment and be done with it.

Orr skipped joyfully into the greenhouse excited to do her task. She saw that other fellow members of the HTF were also in the greenhouse and she nodded a greeting to them.

Seeing that they had covered the area towards the entrance of the greenhouse, she walked a little ways into the warm greenhouse. She started to spray the plants that she saw sitting on the long wooden tables in the middle of the room.

She jumped back quite quickly as one plant snapped angrily at her not pleased at all with the fact that she was spraying it.

Hannah had made it to the front of the green house in record time. She slumped over and put her hands on her knees and tried to calm her breathing. Her heart was still racing while she tried to count to ten. Was that normal? What was really going on at Hogwarts? There was just too much crazy stuff happening around the castle. She was just attacked by something, but she had no idea what that something was.

She calmed down long enough to reason with herself that she needed to finish up her little activity and fast...before anything else tried to make lunch of her. She walked over to the nearest plant and pulled out her spray bottle. Hey eyes kept glancing over to where she had come from. She had a feeling that whatever it was that attacked her was lurking somewhere...waiting for the right moment to attack. Spray, spray, spray.

She looked the plant over once she was done spraying. Everything looked to be ok with it. You could tell that it had gotten sprayed because the leaves were soaking. She decided that it was time to move on. She had done everything in this greenhouse that she wanted. She gathered her belongings and high-tailed it out of there!

Kat walked to the Greenhouses. She's already finished with the once in the Student Garden, and Bentley did say to do the spraying in the SG and the Greenhouses. Looking around, not a lot of people were there. Some probably had left already and went to the Student Garden, where she just left. Well, wow.

Kat placed her slingbag down and took out her pepper spray Minsecticide. She saw a plant that looked like it needed a bit of it and sprayed some of the Minsecticide on it.

That should do it... Next plant, I guess.

Sarah arrived at the greenhouse when a quick look in at the window told her something... she had never been in this greenhouse before and there were ferocious plants it there. She was going to shrug it off and enter when she noticed a sign that let her know that she was about to enter the restricted greenhouse.. oh no! Sarah hastily turned around and went over to the right greenhouse.

Thank goodness the plants in here seemed much less deadly, thought Sarah as she sprayed a shrivelfig liberally. It looked like a muggle fig which was cool... figs were also mentioned in the bible, yet Sarah did not really like figs... yet she did like the shrivelfig colour... purple, which was awesome!

The next plant Kat applied Minsecticide on was a mint plant. It was mint because Kat could easily distinguish the smell of mint from other plants. The smell had a cooling effect thingy. It's hard to explain to Kat but it's like that. Cooling effects and green leaves. Blah.

Kat sprayed Minsecticide on the herb a few times until she thought it was enough to fend off insects and other creatures. Good. Two more plants left to apply Minsecticide on and she's all done.

Sarah then approached the Flutterby Bushes and sprayed each one from every direction. In fact she preferred working in the Greenhouse then in the student garden as inside was much warmer... in fact it was much too warm.

Sarah took off her coat and winter things as she was shmoiling already. She placed it in a neat pile by the door, then she approached the bush again and sprayed away. Thankfully, due to the controlled conditions of the greenhouse, it hosted less things then the student garden... less bugs and things

Arriving to the place near the Greenhouse door, Daichi made sure that his gloves were tucked on perfectly. He didn't want to touch a plant and get a rash or something. Because there could be some very weird plants here. He crouched down until he was eye-level with the plants and looked at them. Having no idea what they were called he just called them Greenies...Green plants..you know?

He set the spray bottle on the ground and touched the plant with his gloved hand. Feeling if it was already sprayed by another student. Luckily that wasn't the case so he grabbed the bottle with Minsecticide and carefully began to spray in the direction of the plant. He sprayed and sprayed until he thought it was enough. Didn't want the plants to drown in the minsecticide now do we?

Nothing had happened as he sprayed the plants which was a good thing. He really wasn't in the mood to deal with attacking plants. Daichi checked the area for another moment before he smiled and went to the next few plants.

Kat moved to the plant beside the previous mint herb she sprayed Minsecticide on. She determined this plant as... what plant is this? Oh, oregano! Wait, why does Hogwarts have... food herbs in here? That's weird. Maybe the house elves get their ingredients here as well. Whatever. Back to Minsecticide.

Kat took out the bottle with Minsecticide and sprayed some of the herb. Once it's had enough, Kat stood up and stretched for a while. One more plant and she's good to go...

Yeah, she was starving already.

The next plant Sarah went to was the mint plant... it was funny spraying Minsecticide on a mint plant... Does mint not have the properties needed to repell things? Sarah did not know, yet she sprayed away.

She wondered why this spraying was needed in the greenhouse in the first place.. Was a greenhouse not built not only to keep plants warm but also expose them less to other elements like pests? She sprayed the chamomile as she went, this gardening was good for her... it gave her time to think. Usually when she thought she paced the room and now if she paced the room it would not look as wierd.

LAST PLANT. Oh thank you, for the love of Merlin. Oh Salazar Slytherin, Kat was one step closer to finishing the Second Task force. Kat mentally skipped. Yeah, she just can't wait to start eating already. Now, she looked around to see which plant she would care with love apply Minsecticide on. Then she spotted thyme by the end. The blonde went there and squatted beside the plant. "I've never seen thyme before," she muttered to herself. Real thyme, not photograph thyme or any of those related to photographs. La la.

Kat gripped her Minsecticide spray bottle and positioned it to the plant. Not too close, nor too far. Once satisfied with the position, Kat sprayed the liquid onto the plant. SPRAY. SPRAY. SPRAAAAAAAAAAY.

Tada! Kat was finished. Grinning, she put the bottle with the excess Minsecticide in her slingbag. "Job here is done," she told herself. The blonde then skipped merrily, on her way to the Great Hall. What did the elves cook up today?

Listening to the heavy rain falling on the ceiling of the greenhouse, Orr was very glad that she was in the warmth of the greenhouse on this rainy horrible day. Today also just happened to be the last day that Professor Bentley had assigned them to do mission two of the task force.

With that in mind-- Orr continued with the Minsecticide gently spraying the plants and flowers that were in her section. There was nothing she liked more than looking after the plants, especially the magical sort of plants she learned about at Hogwarts.

She let out a nervous little giggle as one of the flesh eating plants snapped its huge teeth towards her as she neared it in order to spray. What was for certain, she'd never look at the plants in her garden back home the same again.

Vickers made his way toward the Herbology greenhouses, a fresh bottle of the minsecticide in hand. It would be a challenge to find something left to treat here, given that it was a smaller space than the student gardens and half of the more interesting plant species were locked up in other greenhouses-- for good reason.

As Vickers made his way past a few shrubs he spotted a plant along the far side with its orange fruits seemingly floating in the air. Dirigible plums werent they? He lifted the spray bottle and squirted the knotty branches a few times, then went about and sprayed over and under its leaves, along with its upside down fruit. He would seriously hope no one just picks off a fruit and eats it after wards, organic insecticide or not...
