Slytherin House Table

Large quantities of food are spread before you. Whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the Hogwarts' house elves are the best in the world. The food is superb and the company is as well.

Every Paranoid Slytherin

Every house you diss
Every bludger you miss
Every word you hiss
Every doom you meet
They're watching you

Every wand-tip you lit
Every gambling trick
Every prefect you kiss
Every power fit
They're watching you

Oh don't you know
Snakes slither alone
They will look for you
For every chaos that issues

Every lie you speak
Every nervous tick
Every mental kick
Every evil mist
They're watching you

They are watching you
They'll be watching you
Slytherin watches you

I'll be watching you.

&

Alone

Have you ever felt alone in the world,
like you just don't belong.
Like everywhere you turn,
you do something wrong.
You zig instead of zag,
you're yin instead of yang,
you step instead of leap.
It's always one step forward,
and two steps back.
You wonder why they hate you,
or stab you in the back,
or turn away so easily.
They look away when you're in pain,
and laugh when you fall.
They tease you because you're different,
because they are all the same.
They hate the way you think,
and laugh at your ideas.
Know you're not alone.
They're the same as you,
unique in many ways,
but hide it from society.
Never speaking their mind,
hiding their emotions.
Have you ever felt alone in the world?
Know you're never alone.

After the whole confusion of what it was going on between him and Kendall after he had admitted to her what he felt, Patrick hadn't much felt like talking to anyone since he didn't entirely think they would help; probably they would have ended up making things much more confusing then they already had been which didn't seem entirely possible but it was practically impossible to know for sure. This is much more difficult than coming up with a new kind of chocolate which already is pretty much a challenge, it's like reinventing chocolate all together. It really was, there had been no other way to explain it. Hiding out in the common room for the past couple days hadn't caused him to get any closer to figure anything out, so possibly the open area of the Great Hall could have kick started his brain to work even if he had doubted it; either way there was still food there so it could have provided some form of distraction from everything. He quickly headed towards the Slytherin table and took a seat, noting that it was empty which was quite strange; normally there would have been some of his housemates there but it wasn't something he was going to concern himself over. Not when there were important matters to deal with.

Tazzie 09-14-2012 01:08 PM

Ah, honey gelato, not vanilla but it was still yum. And of course, it was ice cream so naturally, her, being the Ravenclaw ice cream girl won't let any chance of having something as mouth-watering to go by without her taste buds enjoying their sweetness.

She scraped the last bits of the treat and brought the spoonful to her mouth while her eyes were strained on the table across from her, the Slytherin Table. It was suspiciously quiet. No snakes were out and about causing trouble. Then again, it seemed like the Hufflepuffs were the best characters to define trouble this term, given how she was hearing numerous rumors about them losing points almost everyday. Inward shrug. As long as they weren't Ravenclaws then it was fine with her.

Hmm. Hold on. Wait!

Someone was approaching the table. Spoon still in her mouth, Beezus frowned. Why, if it wasn't her lucky day. The person she was actually seeking had shown himself without her exerting much effort.

Quickly, she licked the spoon out of her mouth and placed it on the now-empty cup. Then she stood up, brushed her skirt a tad bit and shuffled towards the boy. Before she had even reached him, she already spoke up. "Uhmm..hi?" Her voice a bit hesitant. What if her eyes were failing her and it wasn't the guy she was looking for? When she arrived at his side, "Uhh..you're Patrick," Patrick Riverton? "..right?"

SlytherclawPoet 09-14-2012 01:40 PM

Taking an apple from the table, Patrick took his notebook from his pocket and started to write out everything that was on his mind since it seemed like a better idea than simply being able to keep in inside which he wasn't even sure that he could have anymore; it was at the point of a balloon that had too much air and was about to burst in a million pieces. Basically it was a massive headache waiting to happen. He took a bite of the apple before just setting the quill down for the moment, food was more important than writing right now. Why can't everything just work itself out? I really like Kendall, I dunno if she likes me the same way and honestly it's just stupid. Stupid. That was the right word for it and a perfect way to explain how he felt right about now since it all seemed like a strange joke that life was playing on him.

Before he was able to continue writing, the sound of someone's voice approaching up on him had just caused him to frown slightly; what was this? Random people asking who he was day? "I am. I take it that you're looking for me for some reason, don't particularly know why." People didn't just look for him, unless they were in trouble and needed a superhero. But the only ones who knew that he was a superhero were a select few, so that couldn't have been it.

Tazzie 09-14-2012 01:54 PM

Oh. Thank Merlin. It was him!

Grinning widely, Beezus chose to sit beside him first before answering his question. She can sit there right? Without asking for permission? There wasn't any 'No Ravenclaws allowed to sit here' sign in the vicinity, was there? But she looked behind her anyways, just to make sure. Nope. No fuzzy signage as the one on her mind.

Then she faced him once more, "Uhm, yeah. I was actually looking for you...kind of." Was he psychic? How did he know that? He was a seer like the Gryffindor Captain, perhaps? Or was her approach a bit too obvious? Meh. "I'm Beezus by the way." The brunette introduced herself before settling in to answer the next inquiry. Okay, why was she looking for him?

"Well, as you've guessed, I was indeed looking for you because.. eermm." She pursed her lips for a second. "..Kendall." Surely he was smart enough to understand the meanings that came with the name?

SlytherclawPoet 09-14-2012 02:09 PM

As he took another bite of the apple, the Ravenclaw had chosen to sit down beside him which wasn't a problem considering he realized that it would have looked a bit funny to have a simple conversation while one was sitting and the other was standing though there hadn't been to be a concern over that now. Since when do other Ravenclaws want to speak with me? I mean.. I only know a couple. Patrick wasn't entirely about to argue because he knew that someone would have been happy that he was speaking with someone else but said person was the reason that he was feeling so confused and slightly irritated so he just didn't even want to deal with those thoughts right now.

Kind of looking for me? How in Merlin's name is that possible?

Once the reason for wanting to find him had been mentioned, he just looked at Beezus and blinked once before sighing slightly. "Why did you want to talk about her? I mean.. I haven't spoken to her in a couple days after I sorta kissed her and just told her that I like her more than a friend." He rested his chin on his hand sorta looking like some famous muggle statue but it was the best way that he knew of to make it look exactly like he had been paying attention to the conversation.

Tazzie 09-14-2012 02:33 PM

She wanted to talk to him about Kendall because, "Well..." the short-haired brunette started but was immediately cut off as he continued his statement. When he was done, Beezus barely blinked and just stared at him, almost incredulously. Why was he so honest? Oh Merlin, was he telling the truth? It came off rather easy from his lips didn't it? Was he usually this frank about he felt? :whaa:

"Uhm. Wow." Beezus eyed the pudding on the table but really, she was thinking how to take what Patrick had told her. "You're VERY honest, you know that?" She commented, emphasizing each word. It wasn't everyday a boy would confess those things right out straightforward, no?

Following how he rested his chin on his hand, she did the same, planting her own chin on her fists while her elbows were perched on the table. "So..let me get this straight...you kissed her because you like her more than a friend? Or do you like her more than a friend because you've kissed her?"

She sounded like a detective with how she was questioning him.

Hmm. If she was acting cupid for this two, then better do it with proper composure and all.

SlytherclawPoet 09-14-2012 03:44 PM

Never had he been able to cause such a comment to be said to him except for now, Patrick set the apple core down on the table for the moment before picking up a roll and just taking little bits of it off before popping them into his mouth; there was no need to shove the whole thing into his mouth since that was rude and he had been still willing to have a proper conversation while eating which meant that he couldn't decide to gross people out by just deciding to rush eating something. "Well thank you, being honest is what I do at times; superheroes shouldn't be liars." He picked more at the roll and continued to eat it after Beezus had just seemed to be surprised with how he had acted, that was the thing to know about him seeing as it would have prevented another reaction like this from happening. Honestly what's so surprising about me being honest? Even if it's about interesting subject matter. He didn't get it.

As she had seemed to mirror what he had been doing with resting her chin on her fists, he couldn't help but be curious about the questions; he felt like he was being interrogated by detectives and had major secrets to reveal. "I kissed her because I do like her more than a friend, it was sorta the first way that I had explained to her how I liked her." There was no need to say any more that than because that wasn't part of the question, he chose to only answer what had been asked of him and that was all that would be said for now.

Tazzie 09-15-2012 03:38 AM

"Well thank you, being honest is what I do at times; superheroes shouldn't be liars."

Beezus heard him say and this sentence from him rather caught much of her attention, if not the full, and she eyed him curiously. Based on how he said it, he was implying that he was a superhero. Mhhmm? It took a while before the Ravenclaw could find the suitable (almost) response to what he said. She shrugged first though, as she wasn't certain this was going to help. Or in that matter, if she was really helping the situation of the two at all. "Well..if you consider yourself a superhero, then you might as well be a superhero to yourself, right? So.." Errrr.. "...why not prove being one by saving your friendship with Kendall? If you care for her, then you shouldn't avoiding and hiding from her."

If he only knew how Kendall was equally confused. Sigh. Sigh. Quite frankly though, she wasn't knowledgeable with this kind of things so she was just saying what she thought would save their relationship.

And the honesty keeps coming out. Seriously, can she just ask him to shut his mouth? He was TOO honest for her senses to take in. Shaking her head, for some unknown reason, Beezus grimaced. "You do like her more than a friend? ...What..what exactly is being more than a friend?" Gah, why was it sounding like she was the one asking for help now? The brunette HAD to clear her throat. Aheemm. "..I mean, do you want to date her then?"

SlytherclawPoet 09-15-2012 03:46 PM

Waiting around for the conversation to continue had seemed to take a little while which Patrick hadn't minded since it had given him more time to just pick at the roll that he'd been slowly eating, he still hadn't understood exactly what Beezus' intentions were with asking him the questions about Kendall but he hadn't entirely been in the right frame of mind to ask; he never would have been either since the whole confusion and mere frustration from not really knowing what was going to happen was starting to just drive him crazy. He picked at the roll a bit more before hearing what the other Ravenclaw had to say and he just set what was left of the bread roll on the table since he hadn't felt much like eating anymore. "Well I could, I mean even if things don't go anywhere between me and her; then we'd at least still be friends. But, I don't think that talking to her about this would help anymore than trying to figure it out on our own." It certainly didn't help when he first admitted to her that he liked her, so he definitely didn't want to believe that there wasn't any opportunity of it working this time around.

"Yes I want to date her. I mean it might sound funny saying that but it's what I want." He wasn't about to lie when it came to things like this but it just seemed like it was far more serious now.

Tazzie 09-16-2012 10:30 AM

Beezus scanned the Slytherin's face for any sign of lying, but there wasn't. He was confident with what he was telling her. Surely, that meant he was being purely honest right? Or has he memorized those words? Hmm.. "You know Patrick, she badly wants to know what's wrong." SIGH. Kendall wanted to know why he was avoiding her. "...she's not mad because you kissed her. She's just as confused as you are."

It was like how she was confused towards...err...a guy. She should go and elaborate on why Kendall was confused too, no? Perhaps he didn't know. "Look, us girls, we normally don't accept compliments that easily. I mean...sometimes, compliments and confessions from you guys are just hard to believe." It was true! Boy #1 said he liked her and she didn't want to believe it. Boy #2 said she was pretty when she wasn't even comfortable with her hair!

More sighing. Why did she even volunteer for this? It was hard enough to think of her own confusions, she just had to force herself into joining a whole new confused circle!

Feeling her throat going dry, the Ravenclaw grabbed the nearest glass of pumpkin juice, drank it as she waited for his answer regarding the whole dating topic.

Ohohoh. Beezus snapped her fingers in front of his face. "Well, there you are! You want to date her? Then ask her out. I'm sure Kendall won't say no. You can't keep hiding forever Patrick." Pause and intense look. " You have to prove to her that what you've told her about liking her as more than a friend is true and not a mere lie." Get it Riverton?! You just have to do it!

SlytherclawPoet 09-16-2012 05:20 PM

Wait, back up there. How in Merlin's name did Beezus know what was going on with Kendall? Unless.. she was sent to talk to him to attempt to get him to stop being ridiculous with the hiding which had made sense, after awhile Patrick was just starting to get annoyed by it since it had meant that there wasn't exactly anyone else to talk to but himself and that was just boring. "I figured she wouldn't be mad at me for kissing her cause she already told me the last time we spoke at the lake. But I don't know how to explain to her what's wrong without sounding completely like an idiot." He couldn't help but sigh slightly when he knew that he was being completely unfair to his friend or whatever they were now, though the fact that he had had such a realization was a good thing; it was progress towards working up the courage to talk to her again even if he'd been scared.

As the Ravenclaw kept talking, he simply nodded since all words seemed to fail him at this point and there wasn't a need to fumble with trying to be able to find anything to say when it wasn't important. Instead he fished a piece of chocolate from his pocket and quickly ate it, thinking that would possibly helped him although it probably wouldn't have helped at all. Blinking slightly once there was snapping in front of his face, he paid attention to what was said and nodded. "If that's what has to be done, I'll do it. I don't want her to think it's all words and you know what? I'm going to go talk to her now." He got up from where he was sitting and grabbed his notebook before heading off to go find Kendall, the time for hiding was over; he wasn't just going to let all this slip through his fingers cause he was too scared.

Tazzie 09-17-2012 09:50 AM

Was he even paying attention to what she was saying? She'd been talking for minutes here, giving him suggestions and whatnot. But what? He was having a hard time telling Kendall what's wrong? Ermmm..what exactly was wrong? There was nothing wrong with liking a girl and admitting it to her right? Because, well, Kendall felt the same...probably. Beezus raised an eyebrow at his direction. All he needed now was the guts! The courage. But basically, she wouldn't expect much courage from him. He was a Slytherin, not a Gryffindor.

Hmmm..

...Or maybe she thought wrong of him? Because he was suddenly saying that he was going to talk to Kendall now. .."Really?" Wow. She was convincing. "Errmm..good luck then?" Yeah, he would likely need ALL the luck he could get. And before the Ravenclaw could even add some words of wisdom, the Slytherin had dashed towards the door while she was left sitting alone on the Slytherin Table, surprised. Patrick was just a few steps from the door when Beezus remembered something. Quickly, she stood up and yelled after him, "OH, AND PATRICK! DON'T FORGET TO BRING HER CHOCOLATES!" Kendall was particularly fond of those icky treat.

..And then she could no longer see his back. Crossing her arms, she sat back down. Hmm. Did she just succeed in her mission? SNORT. She wasn't expecting that. But oh well, she was glad that she'd finally knocked some sense into that guy's head. Hopefully, the two will be fine. That'll make her happy.

Beezus giggled but....when she saw the time on her watch. 8:17?! Shoot! Her History of Magic Class starts at 8! Professor Scabior was so going to kill her. Rather frantically, she plummeted back to the Ravenclaw Table, grabbed her bag and strode out of the Great Hall.

Heh.

Argyle 09-27-2012 02:53 PM

Argyle crawled under the Slytherin house table in search of the small green flower broochie. Argyle knew the broochie had to be around somewhere. Poor broochie was lost somewhere and the studentsies might break the broochie if it wasn't found. What if the studentsies stepped on Headmistress's broochie? And so much dirt on the groundsie. Argyle was disappointed. Studentsies were messy. Messy studentsies meant lots of work for the elvsies! Argyle would need to get cleaning here soon too. Argyle wanted to sweep now but Argyle was on a mission. Argyle's eyes grew ever wider and she popped her elvsie head out from under the table, jumping up onto the bench.

"Studentsies! Headmistress's broochie is missing. Argyle and the elvsies need to find the broochie. Small green flower broochie is gone! Have studentsies seen the broochie?"

It was just now about breakfast time, but none of the tables in the Great Hall were where they were supposed to be. In fact, all of the large, rectangular, wooden tables.... seemed to have disappeared. Completely.

The Slytherin Table was no exception. The spot where it usually sat remained empty, as only a shadow and four imprints in the floor marked the table's former presence.

Cardigan was in need of a mid-day snack! All of these classes and mountains of homework were getting to her head. She had lunch not too long ago, but she had spent the whole time doing homework, pretty much, that was due after lunch. What a procrastinator!! Anyways, it'd look odd, eating a full-fledged meal at this time of day, because it was still quite close to lunch. Oh well. She'd just have to have a lot of snacks...

THAT, my friends, is why Cardigan Johansson hates homework more than any other school related activity-and don't tell her to just do it right away. She most likely won't listen.

Meandering into the great hall, she made a beeline towards the Slytherin table, sitting at the corner spot closest to the door. It was a madhouse when everyone left at the same time!! She found it would be easier to just be at the front of the crowd, and avoid being squished half to death!

Hmmm...what was she going to have as today's mid-day snack?? Cardigan had a sandwich at lunch(and that was basically it), so she wouldn't be needing something that could be considered an "entrče". How about dessert?? She was one of those people that had it after a lot of her meals, but it wasn't always stuff like ice cream. Sometimes, she was mindful and had fruit! That was good, right? Today, she WOULD have an ice cream, though. She needed the extra sugar boost. She picked up a small cup of chocolate ice cream of of the....floor??? Oh, wow. "Sitting" back down, she took a spoonful, and then another, just as a taste test.

Mmmm, good as ever!!

Belle was walking to the slytherin table. She saw a girl she met before in class trying some deserts. Belle smiled and couldn't help it but ask her the question.

"So how are the deserts are they up to your standards?" Belle asked giggling. "Didn't we meet in divination?" she asked for a conversation starter.
