Before you can come into Professor Elwood's office, you need to be kind and wait for her permission to do so by knocking on the wooden door located in the small circular room below the trapdoor leading up to the Divination Classroom. So pull up a...'chair', there are plenty to chose from ranging from old trunks and stools to a rolled up maroon carpet, and wait to see if the Divination Professor is in.
OCC: After posting here, I will let you know before you can post in the office thread.
Carigan hadn't been to see the divination proffessor yet during the year yet she promised her mother that she would. She decided that now was maybe better than later. She walked up to the door, wearing shoes this time *she had gotten more used to wearing shoes and she now wore them whenever she was going to class, the great hall, or to see a professor).
Knock. Knock. Knock.
She then made her way tot he other side of the hallway and sat herself onto a haphazardly lain crate which stood amongst the stools and trunks just outside the door.

Calista wasn't sure what was going on with the Castle but the Common Rooms were still locked and Galileo had been freaking out most of the time ever since the encounter with the spectre. At the moment the Divination blonde had been running up to her office to grap some papers to mark while she was watching kids in the Great Hall. She hadn't planned on staying up there in the tower too long but it seemed she had a visitor.
"Oh, sorry to keep you waiting dear. I haven't been up here much the past few days." she said as she tapped the door with her wand and entered. "Please come in."
Trailed by her cat Louisa climbed the stairs up to the Divination tower. "I forgot how much stairs we took every day in six years.." she was talking to Cuddles. ".. I mean, don't get me wrong I don't mind sleeping in a hall with a thousand student breathing the same recycled air over and over again, and where odors are mixed together to form one choking gross smell, or where the little kids might end up rolling in their sleeping bags over you squishing you to death. No, I love that but I also would rather have my own room, even with Vivi's snoring." Which was not necessarily true but.. yeah, whatever.
The Ravenclaw sighed loudly as she descended the wooden steps to Professor Elwood's unusual office. "This is why I need someone to talk to who doesn't have NEWTs. Or a tail." She was talking to cats a lot lately for crying out loud! Louisa knocked on the door twice and gave her cat a measured look.
She better not eat Callie's parrot.

Because it was the afternoon and she wasn't currently babysitting the entire student body in the Great Hall as they slept, Professor Elwood was SLEEPING. She had snuck up to her office after she was released by the Headmistress and was catching up on her beauty rest; deep down the rich, upstate New York girl was still there.
She had been woken up by a squawk from Galileo and was ready to thrown a sandal at him when there was a knock on her door. Oh a student? Callie hadn't had many visitors lately.
The blonde stood up from her desk and checked her appearance in the mirror. After using her wand to fix it back to normal she cracked the door open and then opened it wide when she saw who it was. "Louisa, what a suprise! And who's this little fellah?" She poked a finger out towards the cat. It was super cute. "Come on in dear, we can have some lemonade."
This tower of the Castle had been left untouched ever since its first appearance and that seriously would not do.
Despite the draftiness of the towers in Hogwarts one couldn't deny that just then it became draftier. Suddenly the some-what neat stack of trunks, carpet, and stools perched precariously on top of each other outside the Divination Professor's office and underneath the ladder to the classroom were all overturned and thrown about as if ontop of an explosion.
A trunk lid flew open and crystal balls, 30 in total began to float about slowly like miniature planets. It was an oddly peaceful sight above the clutter of fabric and wood strewn across the floor until the zoomed in all different directions, smashing into the stone walls.

Professor Elwood had been having a nice tea time (with lemonade) with the Head Girl when they had heard a ruckus in the hall just outside her office. The blonde opened the door and peaked her head out.
"Oh my...."
She opened the door fully and stepped out, leaving room for Lousia to follow. "I can't believe this." She looked at the jumble of broken furniture scattered around the room and the smashed pieces of glass that were once her collection of crystal balls. "Dear, did you see any one else out here before you came in?" She turned back to the Ravenclaw.

"...goodness." Louisa muttered after Elwood's 'Oh my...' because there was really nothing else to say to describe the chaos. She stepped out of the office, taking each step very carefully. Oh wow, even the crystal balls were smashed to smithereens. That was tragic! Louisa wanted to pat Elwood's arm sympathetically. They must be like plants to professor Bentley, or firecrabs to professor Newlin. "No. There was absolutely no one all the way from our common room up to this door." Most students were down in the grounds or the Great Hall since the common rooms were still locked. No classes were due at this time too...
The Ravenclaw approached the pile of stools, carpets and other things with a deep frown. "Why would anyone even do this?" She turned to look at the professor with a serious firm expression. "I can think of only one thing that would do something like this." Dramatic pause. "Peeves." It's not like he wasn't already butting in classes and trying to bury students. He hadn't been so active lately but that doesn't mean anything.
"I can help clean this up if you want, professor." Unless she wanted to investigate some more and look for evidence. Louisa was up for that too.

Despite Louisa's testament about there not passing any other students on the way up here, Elwood felt a presence. It was frustrating to not be able to tell who it was but it felt oddly familiar--like the one who had appeared in her office after the Headmistress brought it there. It would be her responsibility to ask the Board of Governors for more money to buy knew a crystal ball class set.
"Hmmm...you may be right about Peeves, the staff has been having some trouble with him lately." She said putting her hands on her hips and making her expression one of dejectedness rather than the fearful confusion she was really feeling. She wasn't going to upset and frighten the girl with tales of the Spectre that attacked the Headmistress in her office, she shouldn't have met with Louisa here!
"Yes, Peeves was probably just bored." she sighed again. "Oh thanks so much dear but we don't need to do too much, these crystal balls are ruined and can't just be put back together but you can help fix the stool and small table over there and place them back against the wall." As the Ravenclaw did that, Callie reached for the rolled up rug. She walked over to the large powdered and crushed glass pile and just unrolled the rug to cover the mess up.

All better.
Louisa missed the thoughtful Elwood as she stared at the mess and smashed crystal balls with a sad expression. It was not fair and very frustrating to see this mess in the good professor's office. Like, why didn't it happen to Scabior? Hmm? He must've killed someone with a heart attack throughout his miserable life. Sigh. "The bloody baron should be keeping his eye on him more often. He tried to bury Nigel in CoMC class." Her toe poked a shard of glass lightly. Yep, ruined for good.
With a definite nod, the Ravenclaw went to the table and stool toppled over each other. It was really easy to just straightening them and then pushing them against the wall. Then turned back to the woman covering the shattered crystal balls. "Uh why are you covering it, professor?" Shouldn't she dispose of them? Evanesco maybe? Oooh unleeess, "Are crystal balls have magical qualities? Like the ball itself without the wizard or witch applying any spells on it?" Cuddles then came to view and was standing at the door staring at Louisa demanding attention.
