quill Runes Lesson Two - Peace Runes

Tristan strode into the now very familiar classroom and immediately removed his overcoat, placing it on the back of the chair. It was cold out there, but on the fifth floor of the castle, it was kept well heated.

Once ensuring the room was as he left it, he opened the door for his students and awaited their impending arrival.

Tendrils that had been groping the floorboards of the corridor outside for any moursel of food, be it mice or dropped snacks from the students, had made their way in stealthily through the opened door at the dismissial of a lesson.

So many moving prey it would be hard to resist...oh wait...the Umbrella Vinora didn't have to resist. Now which one? The tendrils snaked across the floor, around the bags and past the small ankles of the children. Maybe he would just grab onto one of those....

But, aha! The man at the front of the room making his way to the back of the class to put away some supplies! One of the thick vines crept up against the cabinets and when he came close, yanked him to the floor. A quick shout in Norwegian was heard from the man as he was dragged out of the room. He clung onto the door frame for a mere second before another tendril whipped his fingers. Muffled yells could be heard from the hall, a few thumps and then nothing. The students remaining in the room who had all had their backs to him must have at least HEARD something.

Mr. Christianson had been another tasty snack just like the Astronomy woman.

Default I could've sworn I posted her leaving already *mellow*
Yeah I broke that mirror, so what? ll NOT backward ll Official Gryfferin ll Lemon's favourite

A short class? It seemed all her Runes classes were short which was just the way she liked them. Right after major complications it was good to have a quick ending so the brain could go back to some degree of normalcy.

She reached for her textbook and stuck it in her bag. Just then she heard the Professor saying something in a language she just didn't know. What was with this man?? Didn't he know how to say things that people actually understood? Ugh. Thank merlin this was the last class of the year; she'd had enough of not understanding!--

What the kneazle?!

Okay. Even though his screams weren't english she knew exactly what they meant but by the time she turned around the man was gone...wait....NOT AGAIN!!!

SPOILER!!: homework

Create your own Runic compass using a minimum of three runes from the Elder Futhark.

Then write a short paragraph on why you chose those runes and how they would be useful in protection.

For the first part of creating a compass, you may either hand-sketch or use a graphic illustration program to illustrate your work. If you have no means of creating artwork, then you MAY opt to write a detailed description of your compass design.

Worth 10 points (with possible extra for extraordinary work)

Due one week from the time of this post, aka November 29th 2:02 AM GMT.
Ya. Nice and simple. And easy to understand for this Ravenclaw boy with a bit of trouble with certain accents. He nodded his head as he added more notes onto his parchment. He suddenly looked up when the Professor mentioned about creating their own runic compass. Whoah... talk about advanced Runes magic....

... he likes it!

He scurries along when the Nordic man gives out their homework and said they may leave. He feels him walk past and was thinking about turning around and thanking him for the term as soon as he managed to get his book bag to close. But that doesnt happen....

.... because this happened.

First it was the muffled yelp, which got this Ravenlcaw to turn sharply. But by the time he figured out what was going on the only thing he caught was the desperate grip of the Runes Master disappearing from the doorway....

For a few seconds he rushed forward, thinking of going after the Professor but then quickly turned around, taking ahold of LEX and frantically searched for another way out of the room. "Get on the table! Keep your feet off the floor..." he said as he climbed onto one himself. This was like the Astronomy class all over again!

curly haired prefect - "sometimes I get angry!" - 30/90 - *chicken emoji* - probably @ Disney - I speak dog

Alex had been paying attention to his supplies and packing them safely in his rucksack, but he heard a little something behind him. Normally, it wouldn't register with him and he'd just walk out of the room all la dee da, but something seemed to trigger in his brain and he turned out. Hmmm. No Christiansen. He must have been in hurry to get somewher--

Suddenly, he heard a few lingering students freaking out, and even though it took him a few minutes to realize what they thought it was, it clicked--they thought it was the plant! The plant was back! Without thinking, he jumped on the table just like the nearby Ravenclaw suggested, although he had some doubts.

"Are we sure it was the plant? Are you sure he didn't just...leave really fast?" Alex asked, although he had little hope that was what it was. Oh no, oh no, he really hoped the Ancient Runes professor hadn't died, he thought he was the coolest professor here!
