Ravenclaw House Table

Large quantities of food are spread before you. Whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the Hogwarts' house elves are the best in the world. The food is superb and the company is as well.

Gwen was just coming back from outside, willing to head back to the Common Room. Though, as she arrived at the entrance hall, the fifth year glimpsed in the direction of the great hall. Maybe it would be a good idea to stop by for some tea? She was supposed to meet her friend in twenty minutes, so that meant she would have enough time to kill until then.

The girl started walking with hasty steps towards the doors, rapidly making her way to the great hall. Once the door shut behind her, the fifth year headed towards the Ravenclaw house table. Grabbing herself some tea, the fifth year looked around, wondering if her best friend wasn’t there. Hmm. No. The fifth year wasn’t able to spot her, so she simply drew her attention back to her tea.

Taylor was being sad all around Hogwarts. She considered just staying in the common room except for meals and classes but she was starting to go crazy just being around her housemates so she decided to get out and about even if it was only at the table. She wanted to avoid Damon though because that was the cause of her sadness.

Strolling into the great hall, Delphinia took her time as she headed toward the practically empty Ravenclaw table. It was bright and early still, and though she was expecting Nathaniel any time, Delphi was pretty sure she was early. Sleep had evaded her for the most part the previous night, and she'd just been waiting for a reasonable time to roll around before leaving the common room.

A small, muffled yawn left Delphinia's mouth, dropping her bag on the bench beside her before reaching for the pumpkin juice. The seat on the other side of her was open, reserved for a certain best friend boy.

Nathaniel was running. Because the sixteen year old was late. Or he thought he was. It was still too early but for him .. he was running late. He had gotten so used to being up before dawn that it seemed to him that he had lost half of his time with her.

It was not a pleasing thought.

As soon as he reached the great hall, he spotted Delphi.

A smile almost immediately crept up to his lips. "Hi." he greeted her and he took a seat beside her. "Sorry, I am late." he said, picking up her goblet and taking a sip of her pumkin juice.

Perfect.

Ronnie walked into the Great Hall and was about to head to the Gryffindor table when she noticed Taylor sitting alone over at the Ravenclaw table. And she looked very sad. Oh no, that wasn't good! Ronnie walked over and sat next to her friend, giving her a warm smile. "Hey, Taylor. You okay?" she asked softly.

Ronnie frowned. That was just terrible. "Oh, Taylor...I'm so sorry about that." she whispered with a frown, hugging her friend and patting her back gently. "I'm here for you, alright?" she said, still hugging her.

Tay looked at Ronnie, "Is it so bad that I was a bit upset when Damon thought two weeks were too much for me to straighten my mind out after the poison when he asked for two months to sort out his thoughts?" Tears started to fall and her shoulders shook. Taylor had lost some pounds from her loss of self-worth.

"No, it's not bad. Really. In fact, I'd feel the same way." she said, pulling away from the hug and putting her arm around her friend. Jeez, there was a lot of drama going on lately.

"That is what I thought!" Tay sighed and wiped her tears away, "He says I have no right to be mad because i could of dated those two months... how can he say he loves me but has a crush on her then date her?" Taylor looked at Ronnie, "Does that make any sense?"

Elise was tired, in all possible senses of the word. Her arm, was still a little creaky, although mostly fixed already. Her knees were tired from the jog around the grounds this afternoon and her fingers ached. Maybe practicing the piano wasn't such a brilliant idea.

Shuffling into the hall, she flopped down into a seat. That just so happened to be opposite Glenn. "Hi, Glenn," she grinned. They'd met last year by the duck pond, when it had frozen over a little.

While taking another sip from her tea, the fifteen-year-old heard footsteps approaching the place where she was sitting, but didn’t mind to see who it was. And the other girl greeted someone named Glenn. Meh. Not my problem, the Ravenclaw thought and took another sip from her tea, still not drawing her attention to the girl who had just taken a seat at the table. Hmm… Glenn? That was the name of the Hufflepuff girl, right? The fourth year? What was a Hufflepuff doing at the Ravenclaw house table, then?

Hmm.

Gwendolyn raised her eyes from the tea mug and tracked down the source of the voice. The person who had apparently greeted someone called Glenn was sitting right in front of her… and was grinning. Gwen looked around for a moment, and since there weren’t many people sitting at the table, it didn’t take her long before she realized that the other girl was actually greeting her.

Errr.

‘Gwen’, she said rather curtly, correcting the other Ravenclaw. It was Elise, the girl who she had met at the lake last term.

Helen walked into the Great Hall and headed towards the Ravenclaw Table. She was a little bit peckish since she hadnt had much food that day so decided to pop into the Great Hall as her next class was in 1 hour and she just wanted to have maybe a tea and a scone or something like that.

She sat down at the table and saw a few other Ravvies around her age sitting there that she had seen before around the common room and the study tables.

Elise dropped a scone onto her plate and nibbled at it a little. Chewing on her raisin thoughtfully, she mentally calculated the time it'd take for her to get to the Room of Requirement and get in a few minutes of practice. Far too long. She had Charms to get to in less than half-an-hour.

Looking up, she blushed. "Sorry, Gwen," she said, sheepishly. "I'm really horrible with names." She'd just proved it there, hadn't she? Bah.

She'd probably never get it right.

Presley Black 09-17-2012 06:10 PM

Presley plopped down at the breakfast table with he almost sister-in-law's letter in her hand. She pulled out a piece of parchment and a quill. Breakfast was a good time to get some good letter writing in. "Hey everyone," she said absently. This letter needed to be replied to ASAP. Otherwise, Elliot was right, Presley's whole life would be turned upside down. Her lifestyle would change, and she would no longer be accepted to the events that she had previously frequented. And a whole lifestyle change was not in the plan. She needed to make ammends. Now. The eaasiest way to go about letter writing for Pres, was to address every point of the other letter in order, so that's what she did.
Text Cut: Letter for Maine!
Dear Maine,
Of course I speak French. I would have thought Leo had told you that already. Didn't you know he's fluent? Our mother was French, and she spoke it to us. It's okay, I don't mind. I'm just grateful you did reply. To be honest, if I were you, I wouldn't have.
Why hadn't Leo told her that he spoke French? Presley was confused, but bluntly honest. There was no other way to be for Pres. As Presley read the next sentence she was infuriated. She didn't even know?? Leo really was pretending that she didn't even exist. It had been a huge deal to her, and he hadn't even mentioned it to his fiance? What a sonofa.
Text Cut: continue
I'm surprised you hadn't heard. My father hasn't mentioned it at family dinners either? I didn't mean that I didn't enjoy Beauxbatons. It was quite nice. But Hogwarts is my home. I have people I love here, and the place is familiar and comfortable. It's exciting, and I really do learn better through doing. When Hogwarts has grand adventures, I learn in a way that I won't forget.

It's true, running away doesn't solve most problems, but in my case I was running away from the controlling grip of an overbearing man. Surely you understand that? You understand how that could have solved my problem? Charmayne, I have not been a child for many years now. The society I live in doesn't tolerate children, and I had to grow up much faster than the average person of my age. So yes, I do need some help, such as a place to stay, because I haven't a job currently. But I never was a child.

I have come across a new issue. This being that to keep the lifestyle I am used to, I need to fix this whole problem. I need to be the apple of my fathers eye, and I need Leo to forgive me. I really have been horrible to him lately (don't tell him I said that). I was hoping you could help me a little bit there. Maybe say something to my father on my behalf?

He adores you, you know. He may seem a little rough on the exterior, but there's nobody else he would rather marry his only son. I thought I would let you know because he can be pretty intimidating, and it's easy to feel as if he hates you. But truly my father is ready to welcome you to the Black family with open arms. Anyway, if you could mention possibly how sorry I am for running away? I won't have to apologize (which he would see as weakness) and he might accept me back.

I appreciate this more than you know.
Your sister,
Presley Lynne Black

She finished the letter and filled her plate with all sorts of delicious breakfast food. Now that that was over with, she could begin her day.

Laila // Louisa! <333

Lottie desperately needed to master that color-changing spell. She couldn't deal with the inside of the cloak hood to be YELLOW. Or a color close to yellow she failed to identify. In the meantime, she'll be tucking her hoodie in a way that it'll be impossible to identify her House. Except for the tie, and the crest.

Right now, however, she could easily pass as a Ravenclaw if she kept on sitting at this table.

If you managed to look her way, this is what you find: A little firstie who wears a striped tie belonging to Hufflepuff (because it CAN be seen), two muffins in front of her...a single small bite taken from each, and a BRIGHT pink Pygmy Puff next to those muffins.

"Stop being so picky, I'm not eating three muffins, choose which you like best already," she said, eyes on the Pygmy Puff that seemed to be in deep thought.

It wasn't everyday that Louisa piled a dozen or so cupcakes onto her plate, just when she was working on a special project in the common room that she wanted ALL the energy and bribe she could get to pull everyone to help her with it. So the seventeen years old balanced the plate on her one hand as she carried her book in the other and was about to get up form the table and off toward the Ravenclaw tower.

... until someone talked to their pygmy puff. On her their smartypants table. She paused, looked over at the little girl - who was probably a Huffie due to her tie, and cleared her throat. "Excuse me..." She put down her big cupcake plate and nodded at the small creature, "Why is it the one choosing the muffin for you?" Question numero one. "How will you know its answer?" Question numero two. "And.. why are you not sitting on your House's table? Since.. I don't see any Ravenclaw friends around you." Question numero three aaaaaaaand it sounded horrible. "Not that you're not welcome here!" She added quickly, attempting to fix stuff. "I'm just wondering." Nodnod.

Curiosity killed the cat. 'Nuff said.

At first, it was rather difficult to know whether that 'Excuse me' was directed at her or not, but ten a plate filled with cupcakes was placed next to her, so she supposed she was being talked to. Eyes up to meet...was this the Head Girl?

Oh? Lottie giggled. "It's not for me, it's for her," a squeak let out by the Pygmy Puff should bring enough attention to the pink puff ball, "But I don't like wasting food, so, she chooses...I eat the other one." See? There was something she realized when she said it, the fact that the pink puff ended up choosing either way, not her, Lottie...but it's not like she hadn't had her meal yet, this was just like a dessert. It's not like this happens ALL the time either, just when Magenta behaved extra nice did she get a treat.

OH? Eyebrow raised. "You don't have to be a Ravenclaw to sit here, you know?" she managed to say this with the nicest tone she could muster, which was a very nice one.

Smirking a bit Louisa raised her eyebrows at the squeaking creature AND girl. Coz she squeaked just a little when she laughed, probably unintentionally and probably without noticing how high-pitched her voice was. Cute lil thing. "Pygmy puffs eat muffins?" That was seriously news to the Ravenclaw. "I thought they just fed off cuddles and those kinda things." This was a serious conversation by the way, it may be a sad situation because Louisa's friend, Selena, had never provided any reliable information about those little creatures. Ya know... other than that Louisa's cat ate them. Which wasn't entirely proven yet. No need to mention that and scare the heck out of this little girl. She seemed to really really trust her pink ball of fluff.

"Yeah, you're right. Sorry." About not having to be a Ravenclaw to sit here. "I was just curious." She then grabbed a chocolate topped cupcake from her plate and extended it to the girl, "Do you know whether it-- I mean, she prefers cupcakes to muffins?" Wouldn't hurt to be... friendly and nice after that comment.

Did it look like she was forcing the Pygmy Puff to eat it? Just as the Ravenclaw girl asked, Mags decided to make a statement by picking the blueberry one. Actually, Lottie was kind of hoping she'd pick the almond one, because she wasn't in the mood for almonds...but, oh, well.

"Not all of them," she shook her head, matter-of-factly. How did she know this? Well, it was the same for people. Not everyone liked or ate the same things. Logic. Oh, why, the girl was right about that, they ate icky things too, "That's right, though, it's not like she eats this every day, but she's been behaving great, so I treat her." From time to time. "Do you have a pet?" she asked, blue eyes on the girl as the pink puff ball took mini-bites of the blueberry muffin.

Lottie nodded in a matter which indicated 'Apology accepted'. Nothing further was said on the matter. But her eyes landed on the peace-offering cupcake and she took it with her hand, "I've never tried chocolate with her...," for one, Lottie wasn't one to eat much chocolate, really. It was a rare occasion when she did so. She didn't like it much, see? But...Mags, well, the puff stopped biting the muffin and just stood there, as if waiting for something.
