A little nervously, Renesmee made her way down to Professor Vindictus' office. She had only ever been there once and she didn't exactly want to think through the whole story of what had happened then. Today she was here for a completely different reason, a good one in fact or so she thought.

She was here because she had been wanting to ask Vindictus something to do with her broom. He was the only person she could ask, and hopefully he wasn't going to bite her head off when she did. Just to be safe, she kept a few chocolate frogs inside her robe pocket.

Adjusting her badge, The new Captain made sure she looked neat and tidy. She then knocked on the door twice and waited to be allowed inside.

The back window looked like a fantastic way to enter the office, even though Apparation would have been preferred. However, the enchantments on the entire school prohibited this one bit of magic that Vindictus found rather useful. Resorting to his old schoolboy tricks, he glanced around to make sure that no one was watching him.

Perfect.

The coast was clear. He approached an ancient oak tree that was near his office and let out a slight giggle as he began to climb it. It's been years since I've scaled this tree! Now where is that vine I saw dangling from one of the sturdy branches? he thought as he reached one of the thicker tree limbs. Ah, there it is! All I have to do is stand up, hang on and swing. This should be long enough and the angle is perfect! And no one can give me detention this time! Ha ha!

Vindictus spent a solid minute studying his target and then took three deep breaths. Suddenly, the Deputy Headmaster burst out of the tree like Tarzan swinging on his vine (more like George of the Jungle, to be honest) and his eyes grew wide as the building and the window became too close for comfort.

The shattering sound of broken glass broke the silence in the air and a loud thump was heard as Vindictus hit the floor of his office with a resounding thud.

"I did not see that one coming," he moaned as he rolled onto his back and watched the stars dance before his eyes. Then he heard one knock and then another.

"YEAH," he called out somewhat incoherently and pulled out his wand to unlock the door. Loud clicking noises were heard as the door magically unlocked itself. "OPEN. IN."

Vindictus moved into a sitting position and sat there in his disheveled state with a goofy grin on his face.

The Headmistress was slowly trying to kill the young lion, she was pretty sure of it. First she gives her some kind of terrible detention that was much too late in the night for her liking and actually wanted her to clean then she told her she would have to return the broom herself! What if the Professor got all scary dictator like she had done then gave her some kind of ridiculous punishment as well??? The Professors weren't fair to her. Whatever happened to letting someone off with a warning? Warnings worked quite effectively and didn't involve her getting into any kind of trouble.

Okay....maybe he wouldn't be so bad. Maybe he was ten times more understanding than the Headmistress--who knew, he might even laugh about it. Ha! Yeah, he could laugh about it and they would both have a nice laugh and when they were done she'd leave before everything she would have to say to him had a chance to sink in too deep into his subconscious.

Brillant!

Taking a firmer hold on the broom she gave a timid knock. For a moment she thought about simply dropping the broom then running...he would never know and she would never have to get in trouble...but no...she was a lion and lions never ran from anything. With a heavy sigh she knocked a bit harder.

Wha..what was that?

Out of who knew where there was a LOUD smash! It sounded like it was coming from the other side of the door, but Nessie wasn't so sure yet and she became highly confused. The red head raised her brow and put her ear towards the door trying to hear what that noise might of been. All she heard though was talking, and she couldn't even make out what words were being spoken, not untill there was some shouting.

After the shouting followed some more noises, different noises and softer ones. It sounded like a door being unlocked, which was exactly what it was. Nervously, Ness put her hand on the handle and opened the door only to stand there with her mouth wide open and her eyes popping out.

WHY WAS THERE GLASS EVERYWHERE????

The shocked look stayed on for a few seconds longer, and then Ness rushed over to Vindictus who was now sitting on the floor with a strange smile on his face. "Are..Are you alright, Professor?" She was a little concerned. The whole thing was VERY strange. Broken Window, glass everywhere and a poor Professor sitting on the floor. "Did someone break in?" That seemed like the most logical explanation for what she was seeing.

"Perfectly fine," Vindictus grinned and he let out a small laugh at the broken glass that littered the floor around him. "Nope. It's sparkly, isn't it? Lovely to look at but sharp. Touch it and you might get an ouchie. So, what's up?"

Lex stepped hesitantly into the room and stopped suddenly when she saw broken glass on the floor. O_________O

Was this a bad time because uh....she could come back....like next week...or never.

"Um...hello Professor..." That was a good place to start right? With all this glass all over he probably wouldn't have even noticed the broom and even if he did it wouldn't necessarily occur to him that it was one from the shed. Nope. He would be too busy thinking about the glass. All she had to do was talk to him abit then casually leave the broom once she was done.

"What happened in here...?" Distracting question #1.

Pout.

Odd. Renesmee raised a brow as Vindictus acted all cheerfull with his smile. She knew she would have reacted entirely differently if she had been surrounded by glass, but then everyone was different right? That's what she had learned.

"Very sparkly, Professor." she gave him a nod, and lifted up her foot so she could take a better look at it. Good thing these school shoes were tough or else, just like Vindictus had said she would have been covered with ouchies all over. "You sure you're alright?" she asked him once more just to be sure.

"I just wanted to ask you something about my broo-" she paused and was distrupted as somebody else walked inside the office, Renesmee gave the young firstie a small smile and then noticed the broom that was in her hand. She never said anything, and instead let the firstie speak first. She could wait her issue wasn't of that much importance.

"Your broom goes BROOOO?" Vindictus asked as he clapped his hands like a little kid and laughed. "I thought brooms went SWOOOOSH!"

He got to his feet and started waving his hands in the air as he wiggled his hips. "BROOOO - HOOOO! BROOOO - HOOOO! BROOOO - HOOOO! Oh, yeah! I wanna hear you sing it! BROOOO - HOOOO!"

STARE! O_O

What in the name of purple was wrong with Vindictus? Was he always like this?

Biting her lip, Renesmee forced herself not to burst into a fit of laughter. It was really funny to watch him like this, but she still felt rude to laugh. Instead she just continued watching him. Her eyes almost popped out, when he started singing and invited her to do so too, Ness shot a look at the younger Gryffindor beside her and then looked at Vindictus again. "Sorry Professor, but I think I'd break the windows if I sang." she went a little red in the cheeks. "Anyways I'm here to ask you if I'd be allowed to use a purple broom during matches?" You know, because purple was awesome and all. Nessie hadn't see a problem with a purple broom, but she was asking just to be sure.

The Slytherin approached the office of Professer Vinductus, she could hear voices comming from inside which must mean that there was somebody already in there visiting him.

Olivia knocked loudly but not angrily so they would hear her. Olivia thought she might have to wait a bit, so she leaned aginst the door frame.

Vindictus stopped his song and dance. Time to be serious. Do you think Renesmee noticed the vine lying on the windowsill? "You're concerned about a color restriction on brooms? Let me check the new regulation book and see if they lost their minds at the Ministry," he said in a businesslike manner and walked over to his desk. He grabbed the chartreuse book and flipped it open.

"Brooms . . . brooms . . . international . . . scholastic. Ah, here we are. Yadda yadda yadda, blah blah blah."

Pause.

"Nope. There are no regulations on broom color, so a purple broom is perfectly acceptable. Now if you're looking for some entertainment, I'm getting ready to hold Quidditch Announcer auditions."

He grinned and looked at the broken glass on the floor. "Hope they don't mind the draft."

Dylan. Selina. Beezus. Several other people... WHY was Kurumi so impressionable? Granted, her agreeing to this meant that she really did want to give it a go...it was just ironic that the girl who had mildly sworn off Quidditch, erm, flying rather, was now here and seriously considering auditioning to be an announcer.

But hey, it WAS her last year at Hogwarts and anything to make some more lasting memories, right? Besides, Kurumi didn't dislike watching the sport. She still rather enjoyed it. So...here she was about to knock on Professor Vindictus' door.

Should she have brought cookies with her this time? She didn't think that was the professional thing to do since, well, this was an audition and that would clearly come off wrong although she had some in her bag just in case he asked.

So...up to the door she went. *KNOCK KNOCK*

He heard the knocking on his door.

"Ah ha! The first person has arrived," Vindictus said and quickly rid the floor of the broken glass with a quick swish of his wand. "Come on in!"

Cardigan loved Quidditch.

Like, deeply.

Of course she hadn't made the team this year. She hadn't been practicing enough in the summer, which must've been it. Russia just didn't have the right kind of Quidditch weather for her! Not that much of a cold weather person, mind you. Anyways, true love should never be broken, right???

So what better way to rekindle that then trying out to be a Quidditch announcer?!

Next best thing to being on the team. You get to feel the action, feel the heat, without all the injuries! No one loves getting an ouchie! Trust her, SHE KNOWS.

After all, Ariana was on Slytherin's Quidditch Team, and it would be a perfect opportunity to torment her without getting in trouble! Of course, that wasn't the reason she was trying out.

Cardigan walked up to the door of Professor Vindictus' office, feeling quite jittery. What if she wasn't good enough??? What if she stuttered and didn't speak up enough??? Or worse-what if she couldn't muster up a word at all?!?!?! EEEP!! How tragic that would be! She rapped her knuckles on the door loudly, knowing that would be an easy way to show her spirit and enthusiasm. After all, you can't have an easily bored announcer!!

Breathing...breeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaathing...

Slowly, Kurumi pushed open the door to the office and stepped inside, offering Professor Vindictus her usual polite bow. "Good day, professor. I'm here about...um...auditioning for a Quidditch announcer," she said. Probably stating the obvious, but oh well.

Oh, hi Nessie. She got a small but nervous wave.

And...was it a little breezy in here?

"Brilliant!" Vindictus exclaimed and motioned for Cardigan to enter the office, too.

"Please have a seat on the couch and we'll get started. This is going to be such fun!"

Minerva had never been to Professor Vindictus' office before. She walked up to the door and knocked not sure if she was late or not. She knew she didn't make it early, but hoped she wasn't to late at least. She hated being late to anything.

Why did she feel so nervous, she played on the team for two terms and missing out on tryouts this year really made her sad, but this could be a way to be part of it again. Taking a deep breath she smiled the best she could and knocked on the door. Cringing in fear that she might see people upset for interrupting if she was truly late she waited for someone to answer the door.

"Come on in!" Vindictus called out.

Couch it was.

Nodding, Kurumi made her way over to the couch and took a seat, eyeing the broken window for a moment. "Um...professor...what happened to your window?" she asked, pointing towards it. Stray snitch or something?

Kurumi was a little concerned at the word...fun being used by the man. Fun and Vindictus usually equated to insanity.

Adults had fun too???

Well, alright.

She walked through the door, noticing the broken window... How odd... "I bet!" Cardigan said with a smile, sitting down on the couch. She stole another quick glance at the demolished window, scattered on the floor. Was it just going to sit there the whole time?

Hopefully not. Somebody could step on it!

Oh, Kurumi was here too! She especially favored her, being so nice at the station. Well, it was her duty as a prefect, but the Slytherin prefects had pretty much done nothing. Well it was all over now. "Hi Kurumi!" She said with a wave, then going back to her "seated position". This was sure gonna be interesting...

Minerva walked in and saw two students already there. She smiled at the girls recognizing them both. "Hello Professor, I hope I'm not to late. I was interested in the announcer position for the Quidditch Matches." She smiled and found a place next to Kurumi hoping it was okay to sit next to her. "Hello Kurumi"

Then she looked back at the Professor wondering what all they would do to see about getting this job or if they could maybe all just share the duties. That could work as well Minerva thought.

Of course Kurumi would ask about the window. Duh! "Well, a, um, piece of the giant oak outside my window, um, smashed it," Vindictus replied rather slyly. He knew that no one would buy that excuse. Oh well! "But the fresh air is rather invigorating. Now on to auditions. I hope you're all ready."

He sat down on the couch opposite them and pulled out a short stack of index cards. "Before we start, let me just say how important it is to have someone in the Stands announcing the game in their own unique way. Knowledge of the sport is a plus, but sometimes situations occur on the Pitch or even in the Stands that you want to tell everyone about."

Grin.

"You also need to be creative, and be able to listen to other adults, some of whom are rather passionate about the sport."

Vindictus held up the cards.

"I'm going to hand each of you a scenario card. You read the card and then tell me what happened in your own words. Are there any questions before we get started?"

Minerva felt her heart jump a bit, she could feel her nerves taking over. Creative.. could she be creative, she could do books, spells, but creative.. hmm she would at least try. Knowing what was going on.. now that she could usually do. The game was quick, but playing for two terms could help and being able to say when things happen in the stands, did he mean like gossip, or like last term when she almost hit Lafay with the beater bat. Hmm this could get interesting, 'No questions here professor."

Giant oak...smashed the window? Erm...he should have used the rogue snitch story that she had concocted in her head. It was more exciting and fitting really.

But no matter seeing as he didn't seem to want to talk about it too much. Embarrassing story perhaps, professor? Kurumi had theories, but kept them to herself once the man presented them with a large stack of index cards.

"When you say tell you what happened, you mean that we embellish it a little, right professor?" Kurumi said with a small cock of her head to the side. For example, if the card said the Seeker crashed into the stands...Kurumi wouldn't just reword that one sentence, right?
