A quiet tea shop where you can meet up with your friends.
Madam Puddifoot's is laid out in a typical English tea room fashion. Lace doilies cover each table, on top of the flower patterned table cloths. In the middle of each is a small container with a tea light in, ready to be lit for those there on a romantic retreat. The windows are half covered by fancy net curtains, leaving just enough room at the top to see over and down Hogsmeade high street. Little flower and heart covered cushions are on each seat awaiting your arrival.
Sapphira Puddifoot keeps the shop this way because she has to. But she has no desire to look upon all the fancy decoration herself, which is why you'll most likely find her in the back room. She'll come and serve you, but make sure you know what you want to order as she doesn't have all day.

If he looked too long at Minnie he would just end up blushing again. He wished he hadn't come here now, this was a mistake, but as long as Minnie enjoyed it...well, hopefully she'd enjoy it. "We could go to the three broomsticks or somewhere else if it makes you feel better?", she chuckled,"there is no need to feel underdressed though."Any place would be fine, the blonde was just happy that she got to spend some time with her friend.Yes her friend.There wasnt really a dress code was there?Maybe Minnie was just overdressed?Oh wait, what?! Phewwww. Minnie was really happy that he didnt have to wait for too long.She definitely wasnt the diva girl type that found it cool to be late.Not at all. Especially cause she didnt like waiting herself.Why were Landon's eyes glued to the menu now though?Was something on her face?Orrr? Just as the 14 year old was about to ask what was wrong, she heard him mention cheesecake.If there was something she loved it was ice cream and cake. Oh yes."Ohhhhhh i love cake", the girl beamed happily,"all sorts of cake." Basically all sorts of sweet things and fast food. Not so healthy but oh well."If we stay, I think i am going to get a piece of that cheesecake", she nodded,"it better be good." If they didnt stay, she'd surely find something else to order at the three broomsticks or where ever they would go to.But she really wanted Landon to have a good time so food came second. And that was a big deal for her.

Kurumi sort of poked at her cobbler. She could probably just use a charm to heat up the dish since she had wanted her cobbler to be warm...but she was getting herself distracted. And mildly turning in to Selina if she was focusing so much on food. Instead of internally pouting, Kurumi scooped up a spoon full of custard and tucked in to her cobbler. Hey, it wasn't too bad being on the cool side.
And then Tag finally spoke and Kurumi froze with her spoon in her mouth. Oh. So it was like that then. Slowly removing the spoon, Kurumi set it atop of her cobbler and folded her fingers together. "Does she know? How you feel I mean," she asked, rubbing her thumb over her hand idly for a moment. Kurumi had found out the hard way about...crushes on her. The Aparecium to be more specific. While she would have rather not known at all because it made her feel awkward around certain people now - not to mention downright confused by their actions - she would have rather heard directly from them. "I've...been there before, Tag. Liked someone that was my best friend but they were with someone else." Was being the key word in that sentence. "And I didn't say anything for a long time and instead sat back because I thought they were happy. Only it ended up they weren't...and in the end I couldn't hide how I felt anymore." Which Kurumi still wasn't sure was a good thing or a bad thing, letting Adam in like that. Still, everything had lead her to where she was now and she really was the happiest she had ever been.
She eventually let go of her spoon, allowing it to clank against her dish. "I guess...I'm just saying that if she is going to find out how you feel...it should be from you. Even if it means rejection. Just telling someone how you truly feel about them is important. I've been there too..." With Treyen. And now he was like family to her. Something that may not have happened if she hadn't been completely honest with him back then. Even if it had hurt...a lot.

She was really impressed. This was SO romantic! 'I'm so lucky to call myself your girlfriend.' That she was well aware of.
'I want to know as much as possible about you, so tell me something I don't know yet.' the Gryffindor encouraged Jory, prepared to spill some of her own secrets if asked.
“Am I at least part of the reason?’’ Jory asked, playing along and smiling all the same. Of course he was. “I know you’re the entire reason why I’m so happy.’’ Yup, she definitely was.
“Yes, It would be,’’ he said. “And so would double dating.’’ It was something he always wanted to do. “But I don’t think would Gwen be too happy if she ever found out we are trying to set her up.’’ He was sure of that. “Maybe she would change her mind though, about dating if she got used to us.’’
“Anything for you,’’ the boy told Ari. Thanks to his parents, he had learnt good manners. His Dad especially. As a child, Jory would always try to learn everything his parents thought him whether it was by words or by actions. Whenever his family went out to dinner, he would always see his dad holding the chair for his mom. So that stuck with him always.
“Cream teas, it is then,’’ he said as he signaled to get the shopkeeper’s attention so she could take their order. “We’ll have the Cream Teas, please,’’ he told her.
Jory was pleased Ari liked the rose. “I didn’t know,’’ he told her honestly. “I wanted to give you something along with it but this-I mean we, happened so fast.’’ He already knew what he was going to give her and he would put his plan into action when he got back to the Castle. “No, I’m the lucky one to call you my girlfriend,’’ he told her simply.
What didn’t Ari know about him? “Well, I was sort of a sports maniac before I came here,’’ he began. “I was into everything- cycling, football, cricket, basketball, you name it. I don’t get to play any now, of course, because I’m here.’’ He didn’t really mind as he would rather be at Hogwarts. “I was on my school cricket and football teams.’’ Okay, well he did miss that and Quidditch really wasn't his thing. Jory was sure he would have been on some team in high school as well. It was fun competing with other schools.

That was the one thing she really hated about working in the cafe - being waved at to get her attention. Biting her tongue, Sapphira walked over to the table with a purposeful look on her face, and her pad and quill in hand.
Apple crisps? He meant pie right? Because that's all she had. Unless some kid had written something else on her menu board when she hadn't been looking. Whatever. "That'll be twelve sickles please, and I'll be right back."
And off she went to get their order.
A few minutes later, well nearly ten because she was accosted by another child on her way to the kitchen, Sapph came back with a tray, placed the contents down on their table and waited to be paid.
The waitress took down their order and when to go pick it up. Saxon became anxious as the time slowly passed by. Honestly. This place felt like either the person didn't know how to cook, or the cook himself was eating all their delicious food. She began to drum on the side of the table until the waitress came back with their food. When she returned, Saxon had not been ready yet and scrambled to get her purse and fish through it until she found her wallet filled with wizard money. At last she found the money and paid her the silver sickles. "Thanks for the food." She said thankfully to the waiter, with an awkward, grand wave.

Colin sported a grin after Saxon's laughing fit. Adorable. This girl. Adorable.
"I think it's already working." he said the grin still playing on the edges of his lips. Because... giggly was always a good sign.
He gave a light shrug. "I'm sure you could do whatever you want." And he wasn't just saying that. He was honestly intrigued by Blondie. She was definitely something.
"Scotland is nice to visit." He clarified. For the sole purpose of the cobblestone streets and the greenery. He shrugged. "I've got nothing there. I share a flat with my brother." And nearly all of his friends were muggle, so he'd lost touch since moving to London.
Merlin. Ireland. That was somewhere he hadn't been in awhile. Heh. Merlin, if they were to have kids they'd be impossible to understand. Not that he was thinking about that. But seriously. Could you even imagine a child with a mixture of an Irish and Scottish accent?
He raised an eyebrow. "Really?" he asked. "You must have never gotten a proper tour." And he could change that. Unless she was into getting lost. Then he was fine with that as well.
He smiled a little when she mentioned her family. That was nice. He imagined. "You're little brother is here, isn't he?" Not here, here. But Hogwarts.
"Sounds adorable." Unless he was hungry. Then it didn't. But Blondie could probably get away with it.
He waved his hand to get the shopkeeper's attention. "We'll take two apple crisps and two coffees." Because he was hungry too.
She could do whatever she wanted to. Hmm. Maybe Colin had ideas of what she could really look into for an actual career, seeing as the Ministry right now was just for some work. Saxon wasn't really looking into a lifetime of working there. Unless she got paid huge money. "Oh, and what do you think I could do for work,then? Cause I have no idea." Besides maybe petting llamas and duckies at the zoo. But that wasn't an actual job, more of a hobby really. She now wondered if Colin secretly knew some things about her. Well, if he didn't she'd list off some things that might give him ideas, "Well, I love food. My favorite animal is the llama, but kitties are just as cute. I have a rubber duck at home. Don't know if that helps." She started spinning off her interests. Though, she rolled her eyes at herself mentioning the rubber duck. Yeah, he didn't need to hear that.
"You have a brother? Younger or older?" Not that she was the type of girl to use Colin's brother for any of her friends. Nah, she never really understood the girls from the t.v. shows that did that.
Cue the trying to hold back another smile because that eyebrow arch really got to Saxon for no reason. Anyway, she ended up looking like an idiot with a closed smile and tight lips as she stared longly at his eyebrows. To avert his attention from her stupid face she took her coffee, which she had completely forgotten had been sitting on the table and sipped some first before passing Colin's coffee and apple crisp. "Actually, I never got any type of tour." Saxon said in a matter of fact voice while shaking her head. Which was stupid considering the city she was living in.
"Yeah.. he's here at Hogwarts as a second year. Why do you wanna babysit him in the summer?" She asked him hopefully. Sorry Tag. You were still a baby. How he knew that she didn't know. So, she stared intensely into his eyes, wondering if he'd catch her drift.

Tag had been holding back on telling Anya for a few weeks now, so she never knew. Unless she had some sense of feeling it without him having to tell her, then she did no. But ultimately, from what Kurumi was asking of Tag, no Anya did not know. "No. I've been holding back on telling her cause I find it pointless. No, she doesn't know how I feel."
An it seemed Kurumi had an actual experience to him in this situation. He kinda gave a half hearted smile, although that'd seem rude. Because at least Kurumi had been through it, so she might not only just give him advice but the advice would come through eyes that had gone through this all."But what if you know, or you can see that they are happy? I mean, sure it'd be nice to be with her but at the same time, even though I want this, I don't want to be the bad guy. Be the bad guy and tell her, and then she'd feel weird and she'd feel like she'd have to break up with the guy because all her emotions were all over the place?" She probably was all over the place. He'd already thrown the curve ball at her and Tag wasn't speaking as much to her. An Penelope too had been affected by this. So, who knew what was going on in poor Anya's brain. He couldn't give her this even if it were hurting him. "And so you told the guy, in the end? What happened between the three of you. Him and the other girl? I'm not asking for the personal, but just to hear how it could or may not relate to my situation." He said as a clear up.
And Tag gave her another look. Was the girl almost an exact replica of him only the older girl version? Of course he didn't want anyone else telling Anya how he felt. Now he felt extra guilty about Alec. "I guess... that's the only way you know how they feel about you.In that way." he said quietly as he grabbed his fork again and began to eat his apple pie. After taking many bites he stopped, "What if that rejection makes our friendship awkward after I tell her?" If he could find the words. Before taking another bite he let out a long sigh.
As Zack entered the shop a very sweet fagouns hit him by surprise. He wasn't much of an eating person, but the shop smelled so delicious that he couldn't resist.
He moved to one of the corner table so nobody could see him filling his mouth with cake and cream all over his face.
He looked at the menu and saw a long list of items, it all looked so tasty that he was on the verge to order it all. But he knew he wouldn't survive after eating it all.
So he carefully moved his eyes down the list and then again for the second time and the hunger hit him again. He quickly picked up the once to order.
okay so now all need to do is order? Hmm….okay, so would take a Carrot Cake, Apple pie, Toasted Teacakes, Ice-cream sundaes, Bread & Butter Pudding, Cornish Pastie and and….. he was lost in his own world of fantasy. He and the food…………ummmm…..

"YOUR face looks funny." Theo frowned hard and folded his arms across his shoulder. Darn it, apart from when he was crying out loud, Theo was usually good at hiding his inner thoughts and feels. But he wouldn't reveal them to Blue. Cos she would probably just laugh.

Her question encouraged a guilty smile from him. He hadn't meant for her to see his uncomfortable-ness about this icky place, though he was really glad she'd offered to go somewhere else. "It isn't? Can't think why." It couldn't be the hearts, flowers and sickeningly sweet atmosphere, surely. "Where would you like to go?" He gazed at her, expecting an answer that could quite easily have come out of his own mouth - Nell was just a mind reader awesome like that.
Nell laughed out loud at Edmund's expression. Man he was cute. It was even more heart rending that he was enduring this pink monstrosity for her sake. Thankfully for him this wasn't where she usually liked to hang out. She thought about another location that they could go to. "Maybe the Three Broomsticks? The food is just as good but the atmosphere is better."

Jory was pleased Ari liked the rose. “I didn’t know,’’ he told her honestly. “I wanted to give you something along with it but this-I mean we, happened so fast.’’ He already knew what he was going to give her and he would put his plan into action when he got back to the Castle. “No, I’m the lucky one to call you my girlfriend,’’ he told her simply.
What didn’t Ari know about him? “Well, I was sort of a sports maniac before I came here,’’ he began. “I was into everything- cycling, football, cricket, basketball, you name it. I don’t get to play any now, of course, because I’m here.’’ He didn’t really mind as he would rather be at Hogwarts. “I was on my school cricket and football teams.’’ Okay, well he did miss that and Quidditch really wasn't his thing. Jory was sure he would have been on some team in high school as well. It was fun competing with other schools.
The funny thing was that Ari had rolled her eyes at numerous couples in the past when she heard them talk like her and Jory now. She had thought then that their reactions were fake, but this time she knew better. Jory genuinely made her happy. 'I guess it's a good start, if we can make each other grin like idiots.' she said as an afterthought.
And about Gwen...'I don't think she's against dating per se, she just thinks most people aren't worth her time.' And Ari couldn't blame the girl. Sadly, she happened to be right in some cases.
The rose had been enough of a surprise! 'You know you don't have to spoil me.' The Gryffindor liked gifts as much as the next girl, but she was totally against the idea of her boyfriend spending galleons on her. 'The best present is just spending time with you.' she said sincerely, touching his hand across the table.
Sports was something Ari knew very little about. 'Very little' in the sense of nothing whatsoever. But if it was Jory's thing, she was willing to learn more. 'Isn't there any way for you to play here? Nothing official, just get together some teams and play on the school grounds?' Yes, why wouldn't that work?
'So you attended Muggle school before our first year here?' How did she not know about this?! 'For how many years? How was it? Do you like Hogwarts better?' She wasn't kidding when she said she wanted to know everything about him.
'Speaking of Muggles...' Ari started, uncertain. 'I've been trying to track down my biological father, and I've gotten pretty far. I found one of my mum's old diaries, which was written in code. But that's fine, Gwen and I managed to crack the code, part of it at least. And we found a name. Lloyd Gallagher. I think he might be my dad. But I still don't know how to find him.' the girl said without pausing. Not a very good conversation topic for a first date, but she needed to talk about it.
"YOUR face looks funny." Theo frowned hard and folded his arms across his shoulder. Darn it, apart from when he was crying out loud, Theo was usually good at hiding his inner thoughts and feels. But he wouldn't reveal them to Blue. Cos she would probably just laugh.

Jory shrugged. "I never actually thought of that,'' he said. Never in his five years. "I guess when I got here for the first time, everything about the Muggle world got pushed out of my mind.Do you know, during my first and second year I used to read loads of Wizard books? I told myself I needed to know everything possible about wizards and I would read for hours.'' Mostly, in his dorm. "Since then I've gotten used to being away from sports so I never thought much of it.''
The badger grinned at all of Ari's questions. "I've been in Muggle school from since I was about three or four. We have different stages of school. So first I went to kindergarten. That's sort of where you learn the basic stuff. Then you move on up to primary school where you prepare for high school,'' he said. "Little did I know that I won't be going there.'' He hadn't forgotten his shock when he found out he was a wizard. "Muggle school has its moments but I love Hogwarts a lot more.'' It was his second home after all. "I'm glad I came here,'' he told Ari smiling. If he hadn't, he won't have met her.
Jory was surprised to know of Ari's dad. "I thought you knew him,'' he said. "Doesn't your mom talk about him?'' He was her father, after all. "You and Gwen are like two detectives.'' But now, to see if he could help. "Was he Muggle or a Wizard? If he was a wizard, do you know if he spent time in the Muggle world?''

I think she likes to keep to herself and that's fine. If you don't put yourself out there you don't get hurt. But she has loosened up a great deal since first year and she's always been really open with me. Gwen's an amazing person, you'll see.' It was really important for Ari that the two of them got along.
'I think I'll be able to remember you without a keepsake.' the girl joked. She had meant it when she said there was no gift she could love more than spending time with him. The idea of a holiday apart saddened her. But they didn't really have to be apart, now did they? 'I have an idea.' the Gryffindor beamed. 'Why don't you come and spend a few days with me and my family? I know you probably want to be with your own family for Christmas, but after that?' Between Christmas and New Year's, perhaps?
Ariadne listened interestedly to Jory's description of Muggle school. 'So I guess we get away lightly, with 7 years of schooling, starting at 11 as opposed to 4.' Wow. That was a really early age to begin studying. 'I'm happy you came to Hogwarts. But I have the feeling I would've somehow known you even if you hadn't.' Weird as it sounded. 'You might've walked into my mum's bookshop. Or I might've bumped into you on a busy London street. Either way, I can't imagine not knowing you.' she reasoned.
'Nope, I've never met him. He left us a couple of months before I was born. He couldn't handle the fact that my mum was a witch. At least that's what she told me. But she never told me his name or showed me a photo, she said it was all in the past.' Ariadne explained. 'It was awful that he left, but I keep thinking it was wrong of my mum to keep her magic secret for so long. Maybe things would be different if he had known all along.' So yeah, this answered Jory's final question as well. 'Definitely Muggle.' Ari nodded. 'Can I use...um, how'd you call it-The InterNets?-to track him down?' Assuming it was a wise idea and all.
'I'm sorry, it's not exactly the topic to be discussed at our first date.' But it was part of her, and if this was to work, Jory needed to know.

Jory nodded. "I understand that now.'' He always wondered why she was so...withdrawn at first. "Did someone hurt her really bad?'' he wondered. He noticed Ari seemed a little sad. "Don't worry. From whatever little I know of Gwen, she's a good person,'' he assure her. At least she didn't seem rude to her anymore.
"True. Especially if I'm going to owl you every second of the day,'' he responded playing along. " But you've got to accept this gift from me. No excuses,'' he added firmly. Spend the holidays with Ari? Jory couldn't imagine anything better. "I'd love to,'' he told her. "I'll have to ask Mom and Dad of course but I'm sure they'll say yes since they already know you.'' He'd send them an owl later. Plus, he'd be able to get away from his sister.
"You guys are lucky for not going to school so early,'' the boy said. "Even though school can be fun, there's times when it could be stressful.'' Like when the meanie teachers piled so much homework on you. "How would you spend your time before you came to Hogwarts?'' He nodded, thinking about what Ari just said. "But chances of me running into you would be so slim, won't it?'' He couldn't imagine life without her now.
Jory was sorry to hear about Ari's father. "It must have been hard growing up without him,'' he said. He himself didn't think he could live without his dad,they'd always been close. "I agree with you. Your mom should have told him.'' Honesty was a trait he appreciated very much. He grinned. "The internet. Did you get anything at all?'' So, he was muggle... chances are, he could be in a database. "Have you any idea what job he did or currently does?'' Some jobs required DNA and fingerprints to be entered in a database.
"No, it okay,''Jory told her with a smile. "I understand you want to find him.'' And he would do anything he could to help.

Tugging Taryn along with him, Milton trudged through the remaining snow in the street and headed over to the little tea shop. "You ready?" he asked with a small smile and reached over to open the door for her, like the lovely gentleman that he was. Milton was not going to admit that this was last minute and poorly planned. Taryn would never know if he didn't show it, right?
Once they were inside, Milton picked an empty table near the back of the tea shop. "How does this look?"

She knew that Milton didn't like it when she talked about August and she knew that if Milton thought about an ex the whole time he was here with her, she'd be annoyed too. It was just WEIRD. She literally hadn't been here since.
But Milton was being sweet so Taryn resolved to push all other thoughts way and just enjoy their DATE. She giggled a little at the chair gesture and gave him a little kiss before she sat down. "Thank you." Hehe.
"Okay," he responded simply. Although it was kind of weird in this shop. It was very small and... girly. He felt a little too manly to be there. Anyway... Milton smiled at the kiss and then walked around the small table to his seat before picking up a menu.
He was quiet for a moment (in fact the whole shop seemed rather quiet) before he peeked over the menu. "How was your day?" he asked. Was it just him? Or was it kind of awkward? Milton was possibly feeling some guilt for giving Anya a Valentine's day gift that was rather meaningful. And now he was on a date with his actual girlfriend and it was... kind of weird.

Taryn wasn't completely stupid. Far from it, actually. She still maintained that she would be a better Ravenclaw than Milton. Something was just OFF about this whole thing. It wasn't just him, either... it was her too.
How was her day? "Oh... fine. Good, I mean." She nodded and glanced at him. "It was good." Until now. Maybe it was because it was so quiet and empty in there, or maybe it was the pressure of the holiday that she'd always loved, probably mostly it was her run in with August the day before...
"Milton...." Taryn folded her hands politely on the table and tilted her head, "Does this feel... forced to you too?" Because it certainly did to her. Not being with him altogether, but being with him as a couple?

Her day was good. Good. Milton nodded again and returned his eyes to his menu. Since she didn't ask how his day was, he didn't say anything more. Yeah, it was definitely too quiet.
"Hmm?" Milton looked up from his menu and say that Taryn was... shifting gears a little? His first reaction to her question was to say 'yes, incredibly forced,' but he couldn't bring himself to say it. It was Valentine's day for Merlin's sake, he wanted her to have a good time. Milton shrugged a little. "No... he lied. "No. Why? Does it feel forced to you?"

No? Was it just her making these things up? She supposed it was possible, but she hadn't really thought so. But since she brought it up, she'd might as well be honest. "Sort of, yeah." She glanced at the table, feeling like a terrible person now. Was she seriously thinking about breaking up with yet another boy? What was her issue? And on VALENTINE'S DAY? Heavens.
"I mean... things have been a little off recently. You don't think so?"

Right? It was a little weird.
But was he following..? "It's sort of like our dating has run it's course? We let it happen and it did and... maybe it's done?" She was going to feel AWFUL if he wasn't in the same mind frame as she was right now. AWFUL. She'd already done this once, she didn't want to do it again.
