Entering the common room, Glenn quickly found the prefect that she needed to ugh - talk to. Her sign around her neck, she started over to the prefect. She was really sick of the sign now. Fourth day, only one person left to explain the points loss to after this. Sigh.

She nervously flicked her fringe out of her eyes and looked up at this prefect, Annabelle or something was it? Eh. Well, at least she had gotten Hadley's explanation out of the way - that was the worst one. She didn't really knwo the prefects as well though...

"Um - okay," She started, looking down at the sign and then back up at Annabelle, "I lost 50 points for going into the forest. My punishment instead of detention was to wear this sign around for a week - uh. I understand that it's a heap of points etc. etc. Done? Okay." She said this all quickly, turning to go up to her dormitories, trying to avoid people's eyes as she did so.

Belle heard her explanation and her heart dropped. She didn't think on her hufflepuffs would risk that much points. She wasn't her mother so she wouldn't lecture the girl. She made her own mistake and she would learn from it.
"Alright Glenn, you know your mistake and if you ever do it something like this again, i will write to your parents or i can tell the head of house to understood?"

Concentrating hard on the train, Ed frowned slightly. He was confused at how this train had been broken. But now he had a screwdriver and decided to do it the muggle way. Taking the thing apart, he muttered under his breath, writing things down every now and again.

Laura walked into the common room and smiled as she saw Ed. "Hi Ed." Laura walked upto the seventh year, she hadn't seen him since the incident with the water balloons when they had both lost some points, she suddenly realised that he was mending the train. "I'm already mended mine, my father showed me how when I was like 8, he has a lovely collection of model trains, I used to love watching them go around and around and around." Laura giggled.

That familiar voice. The voice of a tell-tale. Not responding and hoping his obviously concentration on the train would save him from paying attention to her, he put the screwdriver into his mouth and lifted the train above his head so he could see through a small space.

Well wasn't that just peachy. He took the screwdriver out of his mouth and prodded a part of the train. "Good for you." Yes, he was still mad at her for ratting him out. She'd broken the second rule of pranking. The first rule was 'don't get caught' and the second was 'don't rat people out'. There she was, giggling like she was innocent, but he knew better.

Laura looked at Ed and sighed, why was he ignoring her and acting weird with her, they were friends right. "Ed what's wrong?" Laura asked pouting at him, "I haven't upset you have I?" Laura really hoped not, okay so she had told the Prefect about the Balloons in his bag, but if he was a gentleman he would have done so first, and after getting caught you don't try and lie your way out of it, that is what everyone had tried to do, Laura had always been told honesty was better,

She SIGHED? Pft. That wasn't going to both him. Did she SERIOUSLY think she hadn't made him mad? "You." He put the train down and stared at her. "Ratted me out." He raised an eyebrow, expecting a complaint from her about his irritation. "And before you even say anything, what would have been the point in us BOTH getting into trouble? Hmm?" Answer THAT one.

Laura looked at Ed and continued to pout. "Well your a gentleman right, your suppost to take the blame for the girl." Laura whispered, he was a gentleman right, she was sorry for ratting him out but she wasn't going to say anything to him yet, though she hoped he wouldn't stay mad with her for long, she wanted to have her friend Ed back.

Was she for real?! "...You were already in trouble!" He thought of himself as a gentleman, yes, but how was he meant to take all the blame when she already 'fessed up?! "There was no point us BOTH getting in trouble." She'd made sure that happened though.

Laura looked at Ed and sighed. "I know I was but you still could have said you were involved." Laura smiled at Ed, she hoped he wouldn't yell at her. "Look Ed, I'm sorry I got you in trouble, but I still believe if you were a gentleman you would have said you were involved, and besides don't you think the Professor would have checked your bag anyway?" Laura sighed.

"Why? All it did was lose us more points!" Why was she smiling at him? He was mad at her! UGH. She wasn't sorry! She'd obviously relished getting him in trouble too! What was all this gentleman stuff? "Will you please shut up with that gentleman stuff?" Psh. "Of course! I was getting away with it! The prefect left my bag alone, he seemed happy until you mentioned it." He eyed her unhappily. "You can win my points back since you're the reason I lost them."

Laura looked at Ed and felt the tears coming down her face, "I'm sorry I made you lose points and I'm sorry if I upset you." Laura sighed as she looked straight into Ed face. "And I'll get the points back if that will make you happy." Laura looked away from Ed for a couple of seconds before turning back to face her friend. "I know i've upset you, so I'll go now, you don't have to be friends with me anymore." Laura quickly put her hands to her eyes and rubbed away the tears before turning away from Ed and sitting in the corner away from him.

Oh for Merlin's sake! She was CRYING. How was he meant to be mad at her when she was crying? He stared back at her, his anger fading quickly. Resigned, he sighed and put the train down. "Laura..." He followed her over to the corner and crouched next to her. "It's not the points. I just can't believe you did it. Apology accepted though. Just don't do it again, okay?" He looked at her apologetically. He hadn't meant to make her cry.

Laura looked at Ed and sighed. "I didn't mean to." Laura looked into Ed's eyes. "I just got carried away, I thought you'd got rid of all your water balloons." Laura had seriously thought that, seriously how come he had more Balloons than her. "I promise I'll never ever do it again." Laura was now really upset, she had upset her friend Ed, tears still falling Laura looked away from him and tried to wipe the tears away.

"Well, I hadn't. I brought my own personal supply. As many as I could get into my bag." If you were gonna do a job, do it right! "Okay, then we're cool and we forget about that incident, right?" He hoped so. Looking at her helplessly, he wondered what he could do to make her stop crying. A hug, maybe? He hugged her kind of awkwardly.

Sutton dashed into the Common Room from the kitchens, and luckily there were some students milling about. This was VERY important, and they all needed to hear it!

"Attention everyone! Can I have your attention?" tiny little Sutton yelled as she jumped up on a chair to be seen better. She probably hadn't needed to yell THAT loudly, but this was official school business and whatnot.

When the room had quieted down, Sutton continued loudly. "Headmistress Truebridge has LOST something very important to her! It is a small green, Egyptian looking brooch. The house elves will be looking for it, but I'm sure she'd appreciate our help, too. So, if anyone finds it, take it to her straight away, got it?" She said, making eye contact with everyone in the room.

Maybe if one of them found it, she'd give them like a bazillion house points...They could use it.

Hufflepuff were too darn' understanding. Like, they could all do with a bit more spark. Sometimes she wished she were a Gryffindor. Turning slightly as the Annabelle girl spoke to her, she nodded slightly, vaguely taking in what she was saying.

Weeeell... she had already told her Head of House so, no threat there. Her parents - her mum would probably be all annoyed her dad, she didn't see much of her dad. Glenn really didn't know how he'd act. Not as badly as her mum, she suspected.

But still, her mother was a muggle. She'd probably chuck out any letter to do with magic schools - or even just magic. Her mum already took her wand and broomstick - a letter wouldn't really affect her. But ACT like it mattered. People didn't usually appreciate being ignored.

The blonde ran down the tunnel to her dormitory. She needed this sign off NOW. It was a pain, really.

Laura looked up when Ed hugged her. "I'm sorry, I got you into trouble." Laura suddenly flug her arms around him and hugged him back. "Yeah were cool." Laura smiled. "And okay we will forget about it and I promise not to do anything like that again." Laura stopped talking and stopped the hug she had been given Ed. "So what now?" Laura asked kind of awkwardly.

So the common room... he hadn't been here much over the term, had he? No. But, as he looked around the comfortable room, he realised that it didn't really look that different to how it usually looked. Sure, there were new notices on the Notice Board and more people were starting to use the Study Tables now than they had at the beginning of term but... it was still the cosy common room he was used to.

And one of the nice things about the common room and Hufflepuff in general? Their girl prefect was awesome! Alec grinned widely. The girl always looked really happy to see him! It was awesome! "Hey Belle!" he said, hugging her back, "Erm... I'm great! Yeah. How are you?"

Oh? Alec followed the Prefect and sat down next to her. He wiggled a bit before sitting back properly. Ahhhh! Comfort! And he was here with Minnie and Ells as well. AWESOME! As for Belle's question... "Erm... just Quidditch and classes and... yeah," he said, ruffling his hair a bit, "What about you? What's it like being a Prefect?" GRIN.



A wave?! Alec grinned and shook his head. That... wasn't allowed, really. He stood up, walked around towards the girl and gave her a hug. "Hey Ells!" he said, letting a small grin spread itself across his face as he let go of her. There. That was better!

That wasn't awkward or weird or anything... was it? No. No no... he'd know if something was awkward or weird. Like... like that time in the Kitchens when everything just felt weird. Yeah... yeah, that was definitely weird and awkward. And it was probably a good thing that no one, apart from the house elves and themselves, had seen how close they were standing for a bit of it. Yeah... no one needed to know that.

... Pillow fights? Did the girl just say 'pillow fights and blanket forts'?! Alec GRINNED WIDELY. "That's such an awesome idea!" he said, sitting up a bit, "Erm... when are you... girls going to have the pillow fight?" This was great. His one chance to beat Messy once and for all. GRIN.



Hearing a voice, Alec turned his head and GRINNED at the fourth year. "Min!" he said, getting up and giving her a hug as well. And she wanted to see him? ... Wait, he wasn't in trouble, right? Gulp. He didn't mean to make a mess in the dorms! It just... happened. Him and Messy were playing catch the sweet and then... sweets went everywhere.

... But Minnie couldn't have found out about that.

"Yeah..." Alec said, grinning some more, slightly relieved that she wasn't telling him off, "Oh... erm... thanks! If you can't find it then it's okay! But thanks! That's really awesome of you!" GRIN. And he wasn't getting told off! Awesome! What happens in the boy's dorms... stays in the boy's dorms. Nod.

... And they were going to get to know each other? Didn't... people know him already? The ice cream guy? Or the hair whipper? "That sounds like a great idea!" Yeah! Then... they'd get to know even more about other people. Like favourite colours and favourite books and SUPERHEROES! "Erm... so we'll all be in our pyjamas and then... well... are we just going to go around saying things about ourselves? Or... will it be like a game...?"

A third year too? Hmm. Now Ella was quite curious as to why she'd never spoken to this Sutton character before. Surely she'd seen her in the dormitory! Well Ella would pay special attention next time, maybe she'd even offer the girl gummy worms or something! There was no better way to bond, really. She smiled at Minnie's words, thinking the older badger was really passionate about the whole house unity thing. She liked that. "It's a brilliant idea, Minnie! I bet everyone will really enjoy hanging out and having fun together!" And Ella was always up for meating badgers that she didn't already know! She loved to meet new people.


Ella grinned, bouncing excitedly. "You dooo?" BEAM. "I do too! They're super delicious!" And quite easy to make, which was a bonus! "Sometimes I add peanut butter to the graham cracker before adding the marshmallow and chocolate." Which made her s'mores very Ella-ish, but not everyone was into that kind of thing. "Y'know, if everyone hung out down here before the boys and girls separated, we could make s'mores right here in the fire place!" Which would be awesome, yeah? Mmmm. S'mores.


Ella was a bit puzzled as to why Alec was shaking his head at her. She raised an eyebrow curiously and watched as he then approached, wondering if he was hiding a pillow behind his back or something. Hmm. She wouldn't put it past him. He was probably still a bit upset over the previous pillow fight loss. HEHE.

Oh! A hug? So he wasn't going to hit her with a pillow? This made Ella relax a bit and she hugged him back, a small smile on her face. "Hi!" And this was good, yeah? Friends hugged and it wasn't at all like...well like in the kitchens. He didn't seem nervous or anything and she...well she wasn't either. Yeah, this was good. And Alec was a nice hugger, so that was good too. Not that she'd tell him that. Cause...that might make things awkward again.

"It is?" Ella BEAMED at Alec, his excitement making her even more excited than she was before. "Probably during our girls' sleepover...or maybe we could have a house pillow fight?" GRIN. "That'd be lots of fun, yeah?" Of course it would, and it made Ella all smiley just thinking about it.



Blink.Blink. The Headmistress had lost her brooch? That wasn't good. Ella looked around at the others, a frown on her face. They'd all help, yeah? And hey! They were badgers! Badgers were good finders so maybe they'd be able to locate it! That might be nice.

Minerva grinned at the little group that had joined her. This was going to be a blast and if the boys did their own sleepover that would make it even better. She listened to Ella talk about the pillow fight and that Belle liked the idea, this was going to be good. "Okay, so I will figure out the games, we have to snacks I think. I know I have plenty upstairs, and Laura was taking care of that, we have movies, a fort, and pillow fight." Minerva smiled, "I think we have things pretty much planned. I was thinking about not next weekend because that is the first quidditch match, but the following. Does that sound good with everyone?" She looked at her friends wondering what their thoughts. "Since we will be doing The party first, we will make that on the same day of course."

Then turning to Alec, "Well once we figure out the date, then if you boys want to have a sleep over in your dorm after the party you guys can pretty much do whatever you want. We have movies, snacks, making a fort, and a pillow fight in the plans for ours. Plus I'm going to ask if we can borrow some muggle games from muggle studies." She smiled at him, hoping her friend would like the idea. "I know your busy with Quidditch and things, so if it's to much to ask, just tell me. I know I have plenty of time on my hands since I didn't get to go out for the team this year." she frowned a bit, but tried to keep her smile.

"It's okay." He repeated once more, but blinked in surprise when she practically attacked him with a hug. Patting her back kind of awkwardly, he nodded. "Okay then. We're all good." No hard feelings from him. When he was finally released from the awkwardly long hug, he smiled at Laura. Oh, yeah. Good question. "Um, I dunno. Just carry on as before." He looked up when he heard the familiar voice of Sutton.

Why were THEY being told? Surely Truebridge could send her henchmen elves to find it? He raised an eyebrow at her, but nodded when she made eye contact with him. He'd keep an eye out for it, but he wasn't going to go out of his way to find it.

Laura smiled at Ed. "I'm glad where good." Laura put the book she had been reading down. "So what you got to do with the train?" Laura had mended hers easy, her father had shown her when she was like five because he loved his train sets. "I would help you but I think you can do it on your own." Laura giggled, "Actually I know you can do it on your own." Laura really was sure Ed could do it. "But can I watch you." Laura smiled. "Please, please pretty please." Laura gave Ed the best puppy dog face she could do.

He glanced back at the train when she mentioned it. "Fix it." He replied simply. He'd have gone into more detail if he knew what was wrong with it, but alas, he didn't. His eyes snapped back to her when she said she knew how to fix it. Now that just wasn't fair. He chewed on his lip for a moment before giving into her pleading. "Okay, okay. Pull up a seat." He stood up and headed back to his seat in front of the train once more. Hopefully Laura would set him straight if he made a mistake.

So it kinda turned out that Logan's original plan for the flower arrangement wouldn't really work out as he had hoped it would. :/ He had spoken to Sutton earlier while trying to figure out the best way to start, and she had suggested a better idea to him. Her idea was one that he was capable of doing. And there would be extra flowers left over in order for him to make her a bouquet in thanks for the help.

He had received a care package from home recently, and was glad that he had kept the box. Having ran up to his dorm, he had grabbed it and taken it down to one of the study tables. He also had a big pile of all the deep blue roses with which he was going to create the water, as well as the sticks he had collected from the pathways.

Using his wand, he magically severed the flaps from the box so that it wouldn't be able to close again. After he had set the extra cardboard aside, he started placing the roses inside the box. He made sure not to damage the petals, and to make it uneven as if there were waves in the box. Not all the flowers were used, but it was okay. He just didn't want to overflow it too much. Filling the box halfway seemed good enough for him.
