Another day, another History of Magic lesson. Stepping into the classroom not much has changed since the previous lessons. The open windows have allowed for some leaves to fly into various places in the classroom, not that Scabior would care enough to pick them up. That was a house elf’s job, or more specifically the nutjob caretaker’s.
The desks are arranged so that only two people are capable of sitting next to each other. A toy train placed on a circular track, strangely similar to another famous train sits between each pair of desks.
Up at the front of the classroom, Scabior is seated behind his desk instead of his usual stance of leaning against it. This is most likely because, placed smack in the middle of his desk is also a train on a track similar to the ones on each pair of desks. This train however is different from the others despite looking exactly the same. While the others all sit motionless on their tracks, the train on Scabior’s desk happens to be moving in a continuous motion around the track with a stream of gray smoke trailing behind as it.
“Hurry in, come on. Take your seats.” He would advise that they sit next to someone they would want to work with, but it was too much work.
OOC: Class will officially begin in, 81/2 hours. Please familiarize yourself with the updated classroom rules. Your characters can chat, dance, try to set the room on fire. Just remember Scabior is there, and SS and RPG rules apply. Class has officially started (i'll edit in whoever i've missed in this post)! Please no posts announcing late arrivals, as that will result in lost of points. If you want to join in, I encourage you to! Just act as though your character was there all along.
Minerva watched Ariana do the spell and then get excited. "Well that is a start." she said encouraging, then she thought of something and put up her hand. "Professor since the train was built by muggles, would the repair charm fix everything or would even wizards need to do some manual work on the train if it was broke from the crash?" if that was the case then there might be something they need to fix that way as well. Looking at the train she smiled, "Well the next thing after we figure out if we have to manually fix it would be to put some of the charms on it." Pointing her wand, "Protego Caelum" Then she looked at Ariana, "Well hopefully that will help it against anymore snow and ice. What other charm would be on it to help fix it?" She was trying to think of what else they could do to help it work.
Ariana looked at min as she too put a spell on the stupid toy train. "Ohh, that's a great point Minerva! good job." she was soo gratefull her best friend was soo smart. ."maybe now we just cast the charm to make it go.." maybe hopefully please merlin let that work because if ari had to use her brain for 5 more minutes it would surely explode

SO, since the train was full of students who were thrilled about going to Hogwarts, perhaps it had drained the happiness enough to need a patronus charm to aid in getting the train moving once again. "I don' think it would hurt te at least try. The worst thet would happen is nothing but a patronus appearing and the train still not working."
Yep, not much worse could happen right, the train was already broken. "Do ye want te do the patronus charm?" If not he was more then willing. Not all students could do it, even seventh years, but he knew how.
"Yooooou," Vivi pointed a finger at the boy and offered him her crooked grin. "You are just dying to show off your Patronus in here. I can see it all over you." She didn't mind some harmless showing off, especially if the boy could actually cast the spell. Not the wispy stuff, but a real corporeal Patronus.
But she thought it was interesting, what he was suggesting. That somehow the ability of the train to move was connected to the students inside, and how they felt. It stood to reason, actually, considering the fact that the train only ever traveled with students inside, back and forth to King's Cross from Hogsmeade Station.

Minerva laughed, "Well thanks Ari, but I really don't know if I am helping make it work. I'm just trying to think of every possible thing that could help fix the train." she looked at the train again, "A spell to make it go. Well if it's not run by coal anymore, did Professor Scaibors give the spell to make the train run?" looking back at her notes hoping she didn't daydream off during that part of the lesson as well. "Is there just one spell to help that?" she wasn't sure at the moment and that didn't seem good at all. Looking at Ariana, she hoped maybe she had it in her notes or knew of one. Some disadvantages living as a muggle for so long, Minerva thought.

"Those are actually good ideas and we should try them all!" She glanced at the half-notes on the parchment. "But one at a time, yes?"
When West stopped talking for a bit, Sophie could hear professor Scabior telling Ella and Theo that there were mini students aboard! Gasp!"Did you hear that?? There are students in there!" She pointed to the small train in front of them. "They need to be safe before we do anything else then!" Sooo... safety charms first, riight?
Sophie looked up at the spell list the professor had written on the board earlier. "I guess for this part we would need the Shield Charm first? And maybe the Concealment Charm right after that." She said, still looking at the board. "What do you think?" She asked looking back at the boy. "Can you think of any more spells to add to this list of safety charms?" Like the ones he had just mentioned before thinking about all those other things?

"Wait?" Wait? West obligingly waited while Sophie scribbled, but he was getting REAL into things now so his mind was going a miiile a minute. "You know, probably all the charms we think of, we won't be able to cast, but we should pretend like we are even when we can't. Its not our fault we aren't old enough to know how to do them all." Right?
"Little students?" West resisted the urge to pick the train up and shake it experimentally. "Oh what about , check for Chizpurfles or other infestations that might have got into the works?" Errr.. Revelio Chizpurfles? Err?

"Go on, then. Impress a girl."
His eyebrows raised as she said you and pointed a finger at him, and then laughed at what she said. "Aw'right, I'll do it." he replied shrugging. It didn't bother him either way. He wondered what people would think seeing a panther running through the classroom. But hey if it worked, they'd solved the problem of the broken train! "Expecto Patronum!" he said thinking on his most happiest thought he'd ever had, which was being in Egypt with his family all together, with Amelia there as well. It was the one time that Amelia had gone with him, and it had been 'fantastic!'
Watching the train carefully as the panther corporeal patronus shot out the tip of his wand and sniffed the train, then looked up right at Isaac. Turning it shot across the classroom before dissolving into thin air.

Now feeling a little lost as the girl went into this big science rant thing, Logan stood back, staring at her with a blank look on his face.

Ah, so the guy agreed with him! MENTAL HIGH FIVE. But oh, gosh. He looked lost. He grinned at Sutton who explained it simply, frowned at her mix up of their names and glanced at Logan. They weren't that similar, were they? His eyes turned back to the exceptionally gifted young girl in front of him and chuckled at her joke.
"Uh, I don't know of any spells to detect what might be there, but I would suggest 'Finite Incantatem'. It might break a spell or two." He wanted to see Sutton do the spell though, he knew she'd need to practice more magic and this was the perfect setting! "Oh, right." Logan blushed now as he felt pretty dumb. Science wasn't really his thing, and only stuff like rockets got his attention on the most part.
"I agree with Edmund." He frowned, feeling like he wasn't really coming off smart here.
Why couldn't they just fix this the Muggle way? Even if he was a Pureblood, he knew a fair bit of Muggle things from Zayden and Amelia.
Usually when Hannah hit somebody/something with her wand she had better results. It was frustrating to Hannah when she failed at something when she was actually paying attention and trying! They had to figure this out although she really believed that the scenario they had was impossible to figure out. If only they had been sitting on the right or left side of the classroom. They had nothing to go off of.
Hannah noticed that Elliot was looking around the room to see what others were doing. Normally that would be something that Hannah would do, but her claw friend beat her to the punch. Maybe she had more Slytherin qualities after all.
Yes, yes magic always did leave a trace buuuut "What if they did something to cover up the trace?" Like maybe they were really advanced in dark magic and they did something to throw whoever may be looking for dark magic off their tracks...that made sense right?
"Oh yeah I don't want to ask him for anything." That man had an attitude. Hannah had an attitude as well, but well that didn't count.
Reparo? Well it was worth a shot. It wasn't like she was coming up with any ideas. She flicked her wand and cried "Reparo." It looked like a light flicked on for a second. "Did you see that?"
THe light! Whooh! Elliot smirked..."I did see it! Great, Lockwood!" she said, patting her friend on the back...awesome...better than Elliot...grumble...
Hmm. Now what? They had done something good, right? Maybe? Maaaybe? Elliot stared at the train..."Reparo!" she said again, and a light blinked again...she was beginning to get excited..."Reparo!" and the light did it again...
But were they just fixing the light or the whole train? Her excitement was lost. And she was annoyed again. "COME. on. STUPID. Traaaaain!" she cried, and she prodded the train, HARD, with her wand. A little spark came out, something it always did when Elliot was in a mood, and the train quickly was aflame...''MERLIN!" she shrieked...she pointed her wand at the part of the train that in flames.."Aqumenti!" she cried, and water shot out of her wand...it put out the fire...but she misjudged her aim a little bit...
And Hannah was now covered in...water. Elliot stifled a snort....but she couldn't help it..."I s-s-s-sorrrrry Hannah..." she choked out, laughing hysterically...
PAHAHAHA! XD

Sutton raised her eyebrows at the two boys staring at her and folded her arms across her chest. Shifting her weight to one leg and popping a hip, it was obvious her body language was saying, "Well, What are you waiting for?" Her eyes flicked back and forth between the two for several moments before she finally realized what they were waiting on. "Hey! No, that's no fair! I did all the thinking, and now you want me to do all the magic, too?!" she said in a pouting voice, staring at them both with her big green eyes.
When neither of them moved, she let out a sigh and pointed her wand at the train. This was an important one, she knew, as it was near the beginning of her spell book. With the appropriate (and perfect) wand moment, Sutton recited, "Finite Incantatem!"
And nothing happened.
"Wow... I am SURE no one that of trying that the day the train stopped," she said with a small giggle. "Now what?"

She finally did peek at the train, and it was moving. Not at full speed and certainly not with gusto, but it moved along the track. "Well, I call that fixed. Those itty bitty students will get to the school by their 20th birthdays, and who can ask for more than that?"

Oh this was going to work. She could just feel it in her little itty bitty girl arms. "Alright lets close her up and see if she runs." Wait a second why was she giving the train a gender. It could just have easily been male-train and not automatically a female train.
Next time she'd ask the train its preferred gender.
"So does it work?" She asked hoping it did. "Because I really want to get two hundred and more points for fixing the train problems...i mean obviously if they are having students fix it the people at the ministry couldn't do their jobs. Maybe we'll get promoted from being students to being student liaisons to the Ministry of Magic - Magical Transportation department."
He watched the young Claw fit the final piece in, then closed the train's hood. Good it was nice and snug, which hopefully means not a piece was out of place. Just as he raised his wand he caught himself chuckling at her enthusiasm and her remark about the Ministry "I'm sure the Department of Transportation staffers are working hard trying to resolve this problem too..." he said as he gave a playful smirk. His Uncle used to work for that Department before transferring out and insisted that its current Head was a good man despite the controversy a few years back. "So here we go.... Locomotor Locomotive...." he uttered with the proper wand stroke and touched the hood of the train....

"Me neither," Sierra admitted. Well, except in Defense class, and even then, that dementor was fake. She grew silent and watched as Nigel cast Incendio. Nothing happened right away, but another idea did come to mind. "Why don't we go take a look at the professor's train," she suggested. She stuffed her wand back into her holster and glanced toward the front of the room where the professor's train sat.

"AGUAMENTI!" A jet of water coming out from the tip of his wand and it made their toy train soaking wet. He picked up the now very wet toy train. And now what they're going to do with the train? They already tried poke it, the Mending Charm, burned it and soaked it but the train still won't work. "Do you have any better idea?"
Something was burning. Scabior didn't have to LOOK to see, he could SMELL it and didn't even need to turn his head. Perhaps he should have shrunk some students down and put them in the train? Maybe that would have encouraged SMART mending of the train. "Messer if you burn my classroom down I will see to it that you spend this year and the next in detention with Professor Lafay.

Use a spell on someone you don't like? Hmm...Ella looked at Theo, considering this option. "That might be a good idea, Professor." She mumbled, a small smile playing on her lips. NOT that she would ever harm Theo except for in Quidditch, apparently, she was just a little frazzled at the moment.
Blink.Blink. Students...on the train? O____O B-but it was only a toy train! They...they weren't like killers or anything, right? RIGHT?
And then Theodore was showing Scabior his notes and Ella tried not to groan. Mostly because she had done the Locomotor spell correctly the first time. As for the innocent lives that were lost because they had decided to send their train CRASHING into the wall...Ella frowned.
"It was wrong, Professor...we didn't mean to erm...harm anyone." Fictional or not. "...Butwhatawaytogo." Much cooler than a crash into a snowbank.
What a way to go indeed. Scabior shook his head, clearly amused. "There aren't any innocent, or any people at all on the trains. I'm just pointing out that they could have been like how you lot were on the train this september." Hmmm. "I'm almost certain none of you would have enjoyed having a rocket strapped onto the Hogwarts Express if you knew you would end up like that." He pointed to their train which....well...could it even be called a train anymore?
It was more like a mess.
"New Assignment for you two. You have twenty minutes to fix that mess and get it running." What would happen if they DIDN'T?!? Well he had a list of possibilities.

Oh. A question. Turning away from the two miniature people killers, Scabior's attention fell on the Puff. "The mending charm would most likely fix a lot of things but you have to be specific when you are using it. You can't just point your wand at the whole train and expect everything to be fixed instantly. You have to use it in increments probably more on the bigger more important objects in the train. Minerva listened to the Professor as he answered her questions, shacking her head understanding. Well yes she basically knew that, but she wasn't sure if the spell would fix all muggle made problems. Turning towards the train, maybe he did answer the question.. but before she could finish her thoughts she heard Ari get frustrated, "shhh it will work, patience" she then looked at the train. "I think we need to take the train piece by piece and use the repair charm on all pieces, not just the entire thing. Like the professor said." she then looked at the train, "Reparo Frame" looking at the train, "That should repair the bent frame that would have happened during the wreck." She looked at Ari to see if she would want to repair the next part of the train.

She finally did peek at the train, and it was moving. Not at full speed and certainly not with gusto, but it moved along the track. "Well, I call that fixed. Those itty bitty students will get to the school by their 20th birthdays, and who can ask for more than that?"
Grinning as Vivi clapped he even spotted Ed's look over at him from down the rows of seats. Shrugging, he'd been able to do a corporeal patronus for a year now, and had been REAL happy that it had finally become more then a mist when it did.
Biting his lip he watched the train impatiently, hoping for a sign of something. ANYTHING! What else was there to do, if that hadn't worked??? Finally it started moving, and he wanted to so totally whoop! It was moving slowly, but it was GOING!
"Well all thet matters is we did it!" he said grinning from ear to ear. "Nice job partner!" he said raising his hand give her a high five. Erm, or was that weird? Well too late now.

OOC: Tick tock, tick tock.
So the sigh of relief? Ella hoped it wasn't that noticeable. Professor Scabior had freaked her out, though. She had pictured him shrinking former bad students and placing them on the mini trains as punishment, in her mind...not a good picture, by the way. Especially since her and Theodore seemed to be the latest 'bad' students on his radar. MEEP. "N-no Professor, I wouldn't want to be on a train that was going to end up like that...a rocket train to the moon might be nice though." Just saying.
Blink.Blink. New assignment? Ella looked at Theodore, green eyes wide. 20 minutes to repair that? Shoot. They were dead as door nails. Trying not to look too freaked out, the third year nodded. "Right, we're on it." Like nowish. CHOP CHOP, Theodore.
The small badger gathered the MANY pieces of the destroyed rocket train and spread them out in front of her, eyeing them carefully. "Are you good at puzzles, Theodore?" Cause maybe if they placed the pieces where they should be they would be able to use mending charm to fix the train.
Err?
That was true. They probably wouldn't be able to perform more than half of the Charms they were talking about in that lesson, unfortunately. Sophie wished she could cast all spells there were in the UNIVERSE right NOW! Because spells were cool!
Oh well. They should stick with what they knew at the moment. Which was... no much. Meh.
"Yes, I agree." Sadly. But she'd take notes either way and would most definitely be going to the library right after the class! That list was super awesome!
Chizpurfles? Sophie tilted her head at his suggestion. "Do you think chizpurfles could have made all this?" Weren't they like... magical lice or something? She was not aware that chizpurfles could actually do more than just infest crups and eating rest of potions. "I don't think these thingies could do such great damage..." She told him as she eyed their train set.
"If there was an actual infestation..." Of whatever creature or... other thing. "...people would have realised it before we departed, no?" The Hogwarts Express was only used twice a YEAR! People probably checked on it before they used it those two times, didn't they?? It'd be weird if they didn't... right?
What else could it be? Sophie tapped the parchment with her quill, before dropping it on the desk and reaching out her hand to poke the train. "Maybe..."Thiiiink! All she could come up with, though, was Dark Magic. "I don't know... the only think that sounds logical to me is that someone made it stop on purpose." She finally said, looking defeated. "Why else would both the magical and the muggle methods fail at the same time?"

Ohh. She know what they should do to their toy train? Wow. He shouldn't be that surprise Beezus is a Ravenclaw after all. He heard her cast 'Incendio' on the toy train and it began to burn.
O_________________O
They need water ASAP! He looked around the classroom to find a water sources but he can't find one. "I can't find any water around." he said in oanic voice. Wait a minute. He's a wizard and he has a wand. Stupid Messer!
"YOUDON'TNEEDWATER!" she mumbled, frustrated at how Messer wasn't thinking he was a wizard. Then again, she was also one so why won't she do it? Pfft. Because the Hufflepuff would be the one correcting her mistakes today.
RELIEVED SIGH.
"Thanks Edvard," Beezus breathed. Yeah really, she needed to stop this. She needed to stop making things worst when they need to make it work!
She only raised her wand again to do the drying spell on the toy train.
When he asked if she had any ideas, Beezus frowned and shook her head furiously. She wasn't going to do anything else. She might hurt herself in the process..or worst, Messer! So she's letting him do the wandwork and she'd just sit and gape at his amazing face. Surely Scabior won't mind right?

Just as the Ravenclaw had slumped down, ready to do what she had in mind, she heard Scabior call Messer and her head immediately snapped to where the man was.
No, no, no.
She stood up, "Err..It wasn't him Professor. It was me." But he wasn't going to send her off to detention with Lafay, no? *bats eyelashes* Besides, the fire had been extinguished now. So no harm done.
YUP.
Then back to the Puffer.
.."Ermm. Maybe we could try Locomotor Locomotive?" It was worth a shot. She couldn't think of anything else. "..I'll let you do it, is that alright?"
So obviously Ira didn't hear the sound the train made. Could it possible that Cassia imagined the sound? Actually she does usually imagine stuff but now wasn't really the time and she had been concentrating. So how could she be sure? "I did hear a very faint sound," Cassia said. Maybe next time they should do the spell together and pay close attention if there was sound.
"It is stubborn." Cassia frowned. She glanced at Theo and his partner who apparently ruined their train. Cassia felt like doing the same thing actually. She couldn't blame them though they didn't seem to have done it on purpose.
Cassia nodded when Ira mentioned the steam engine, "True!" Good they were having ideas and that was a very good thing hopefully they're in the right track. "Yeah you need heat in order to produce steam…..hot water…burning.." Cassia mused mainly to herself though her voice was audible. And Cassia remembered that in DADA last term they learned that Dementors made the atmosphere around them cold. "Yeah probably the engine got cold and stopped working." Cassia said to Ira now. But how were they going to heat the engine?
"We could incendio," The second-year offered. "But that will likely burn the train." Not that she cared much but they were supposed to make it work not turn it into ashes. "So we heat it. Then repair it. And then we could try that Locomotor spell perhaps." Cassia said looking at Ira questioningly. Did the older lioness agree?
Cassia held her wand up. "Ok we don't have to do the spell on the train." She got a couple of blank parchments from her bag and crumpled them. "We could light those in fire and get them near the train," She said . "Though we won't be able to hold them. So I'll light them and you levitate them near the train." You know Cassia couldn't do both of them.
"Incendio." Cassia uttered and the crumpled parchment caught fire. Now it was Ira's part.
"Maybe you did!" Ira replied, rubbing her ears a bit and frowning. "Something must have been repaired by the spell.." It wasn't like she had casted the spell wrong, so it had to work right.
Anyways, fire. Incendio and levitate? Yeah it could be done and would work too probably.. "Okay. So first incendio, then I levitate it into the train I guess.." How was she supposed to put it into the train? "Then after the engine has heated up, the reparo spell again and then locomotor spell." Yep. That was it.
So all that they had to do now was follow their own steps. Which was easier to think and write rather than actually do it. Anyways, no harm in trying, right? Ira looked on and readied her wand as Cassia started burning the parchment.. "Wingardium Leviosa!" she muttered the levitating charm and pointed it at the burning parchment, willing it to move. She guided it nearer to the train, and lifting it a bit above the train, dropped it.
o__O Oops! She shouldn't have dropped it! Merlins!!
Looking at Cassia with wide eyes and back at the now burning train engine, she began swearing at herself. How could she just drop the burning parchemnt inside? "No.n.no..no..nooo!.. wait!" All the while muttering, Ira quickly cast the aguamenti spell, dousing the firse with a jet of water. And all the while hoping, that Professor Scabior didn't see her. She really wasn't in any mood to get scolded at.
Whew! At least her train wasn't burning like many others in the class! So.. overall, good work! Hehe!
"I'm so sorry Cassia!" Ira said, chewing her bottom lip, "Okay, come on.. one more time. I'll do it right this time!"

Kurumi wanted to just jump out of her seat and go find Lewis right away - since the memory was one they shared - only one look at Professor Scary Grumpy Face took all that way.
Yep, Professor Scabior was not only the Heir of Slytherin...but he was also part dementor. Yep.
Biting down on her lower lip, cheeks still a veeeeeeeeeeeery rosy glow, Kurumi eventually turned her attention back to Milton when the hedgehog eventually vanished. Only she frowned slightly when he said that nothing had really happened. Minus the smoke popping out of the train that is. "Really?" she asked as she pursed her lips and reached over to pick it up. "Hey...does this feel a little warmer to you?" The train didn't feel as...icy as it had been when they had started. She passed the steam engine over to him for him to see for himself. "Maybe the patronus just removed the presence of dementors on the train? So now it is back to just being a normal steam engine? No enchantments?"
It was a theory at least.
"I am not too familiar with steam engines," Kurumi said as she looked at the train. "We use electrical trains in Japan. Although, how it works really depends on what time of engine the Hogwarts Express has, an external combustion engines and internal combustion. And, well, since it is a steam engine it needs steam to move. So...coal from a coal tender is fed into the firebox where it is burnt at a really REALLY high temperature," she rambled as she pointed towards parts of the train. "This heat is used to turn water, also stored in the tender, into high pressure steam....and then a lot of other processes happen, but the steam is what moves it forward..."
She stopped and looked at Milton for a moment. "One of my brothers was obsessed with trains..." In case he was wondering why she knew all this. She had always been interested in creatures, not trains.
She watched for a moment while Milton performed a spell...but did it wrong. Biting her lip nervously again, Kurumi tapped him on the shoulder. "Um...Milton...you're doing the spell wrong..." she said softly. "You need to specify what you want to move...not just say Locomotor..."
Which is why the train did absolutely nothing.
Did it... FEEL warmer? Milton looked at her funny. "I don't know. I didn't feel it before." Shrug. He didn't even know why she was asking because his brain CLEARLY wasn't functioning correctly that day. Too much was going on in life. Sigh. But anyway. Her explanation seemed good. "That makes sense. Dementors leave, train works. Since that's the reason it stopped in the first place." But that was kind of redundant, wasn't it? Meh.
Milton shrugged when she said she wasn't too familiar with steam engines. He was about to say that he wasn't familiar with trains at all (except that they were much slower than portkeys), but then she went off all about trains. And honestly, Milton had no idea what she was talking about. He just kind of stared at her and blinked a few times. "You lost me at 'electrical'. And then I kind of just tuned you out because I don't really care..." Sorry, cookie girl. No offense, though.
..... HUFF. He was doing it WRONG? SIGH. He knew that, too. Somewhere inside his muddled brain. Gah. Milton set his wand down on the table (rather angrily) and threw his hands up in a sort of surrender. "Fine, Miss Know-It-All. You do it. Make the bloody train move." Shacklebolt out.

"I'm so sorry Cassia!" Ira said, chewing her bottom lip, "Okay, come on.. one more time. I'll do it right this time!"
Cassia lowered her wand when it was Ira's part and watched closely. Yup they were fixing the train and then it's move and produce steam just like the one on the Professor's desk. Yaay! And Cassia actually was thinking of asking Scabior to let her take the train as a souvenir and she'll make Ira borrow it no problem. You know the lioness helped fixing the train bu Cassia was younger so she will get to keep it.
Just as she was having those bright and interesting ideas, Ira dropped the ball of fire. Cassia gasped and jumped out of her seat. "Bu..b..but.." She stuttered looking at the burning engine and back at Ira then at the ashes that once were parchments. She kept darting her eyes between those three till it started to get a bit weird. However, the second-year was sad about what happened to her train that was supposed to be given to her! That caused a pout to her lower lip.
Maybe it wasn't too late to fix it, no? Cassia still standing moved to the other side of the table turning her back to Scabior to block the sight just in case they were going to do some illegal thin to fix the train's engine. Though Cassia was short and Scabior could easily look from above her.
"Ok don't panic let's act like nothing happened." Cassia muttered to Ira though the Snake was the one that was likely panicking . And what did the girl say? She will do it one more time! "NO!" Cassia said a bit loudly before noticing that. "Er...no," She repeated in a lower tone. You know if Ira tried again then the train would likely to burn ALL OF IT. Besides Cassia doesn't have more parchments to use. "You try that repairing spell on the burnt engine." she told her pausing a bit on BURNT. "if that doesn't work we could just borrow an engine from someone," Mhhmmm. Borrow it was.
Cassia reached for her wand and glanced down at the train. "Ok I'll try the repairing on this part of the engine." She said. "Reparo," She uttered pointing her wand.
So did it work?

Argh. Yes she was still angry, but she knew she needed to calm down. It was sort of wrong after all that she had send a note during class. If one thing Professor Scabior had surely taught her a lesson. The red head, walked off back to her seat and took her seat besides Oakey.
She examined the train before her with her eyes. It looked perfectly fine to her besides for the fact that it wasn't moving. Still it didn't look like anything was wrong with it, it looked fine. Tilting her head, she tried to get a better look, but still nothing. Nope...nothing she was aware of at least.
"Got any ideas as to what's wrong with it?" She asked Oakey, acting like nothing had happened with the note. She'd speak to him about it when she was in a less agitated mood.

Maybe they should start with what they did know.
"Well... what do we know about dementors?" he started with the basic. "They suck the life out of things..." he reiterated. Yes, the other boy had already said that. "The Patronus charm chases them away... but I don't actually see any dementors so I doubt that would help with this." Ethan poke the train slightly with his wand. Nope, no dementors flying out. Good thing, because the Ethan did not know how to produce a Patronus. That was way advanced.
"Oh, I'm Ethan, by the way," he added somewhat suddenly as he realized he hadn't offered that information already. Since they'd be working together, might be a good idea to know who they were talking to.
He thought for a moment ast he classmates around him tried things like Reparo with no success. The dementors didn't actually break anything, did they? Maybe they needed to think outside the box. "If the dementors were what was responsible for stopping the train by sucking the life out of the mechanics then maybe we could put the life back into them with a cheering charm," he said, half-joking. Trains didn't really get sad, did they?
Dylan thought for a few moments about what the Ravenclaw was suggesting. A Cheering Charm? Was the train and it's mechanics able to feel now? Although, Dylan had to hand it to him. That was thinking outside of the box...
Shrugging his shoulders, the Captain sighed. There was absolutely too much thinking involved in this. Although, he did have one more thing...A stray thought, if you would. "Well, to be honest. I don't think too much was wrong with it...considering that when the Dementors left the train, it worked again." That suggested it wasn't something internally wrong. "I suppose the main point would be to dispose of the. The Dementors, I mean."
There was a spell...but it was totally escaping his mind at the moment. "For now, perhaps a combination of Rictusempra and Lumos?" Yea, they were lame suggestions...but the Slytherin was drawing blanks. Too much thinking......."You know, under the assumption that we're ridding the train of Dementors..."
Dylan was firm in his belief that the issue wasn't mechanical.

Oh. Scabior knew that Bellaire was incompetent but didn't the Charms Professor teach them ANYTHING?

"But..."
He began, then remembered about the not answering back idea. 20 minutes?! Sighing loudly, to show his annoyance, Theodore picked up the mess of the train and dropped it on their desk. Puzzles? "Umm... yeah.. yeah, I guess I'm okay at puzzles." Theodore picked up the wheels and lined them all up nicely.
But that was as much as he could do.... The rest was just a mad heap on top of the wheels. Time for a repairing charm. "Reparo." It worked like a charm before, but NOW, it was failing him.
"It's cos I'm nervous!!"
