she asked her as if she were mad "thank you." strange girl.
"and not really, merely helped you decide on the food is all" and maybe everyother little tiny detail but the girl didnt need to know that.. right? i mean max was nervous so he needed help

Maxwell nodded. "Yeah, i needed a little help on a few things..but i did everything else...but i would hardly call the birthday girl lovely.." He said giving Ariana an 'I know what you're up to' look.

"Now you on the other hand are..." He said to Elliot with a smirk as breakfast appeared and he put a decent amount of meat on his plate, hoping it wouldn't gross Elliot out.

"I'm quite all right. I'm just finally getting to meet...the best friend that Max walks about..." Smirk. Did she live up to Elliot's expectations, hmm. "And I have to say...I'm quite disappointed. I heard you were a Slytherin..but you've been nothing but nice to me..." And hopefully. Ariana would catch on...because Elliot was joking.


She even winked at her and turned to Maxwell, an evil glint in her eyes. "Maxwell...you're the only one who thinks that...and I hardly think that your friend here wants to hear all about how awesome I am. I mean..she might get extremely jealous..." she was just amusing herself...she chuckled to herself some more! Heehee. She then turned to Ariana, again. "And don't worry. We won't be that gross, mushy couple. I hate those couples." Hate was a strong word. That Elliot felt a LOT. And PDA...was on the top of the...'things I hate about couples' list.

"well, that's only cause we just met, In due time you'll see why i was put there." Smirrk. Yup Ari would show her. After all Max was her best friend and she's surely get the best friend talk about hurting him, cause she will NOT sit here adn let her do this.

heh she's a ravenclaw, Smart, but Max say's she evil adn that i'd like her.. So far she just seems like a wise butt.

Maxwell laughed a little. "Fine, i'll try to keep my mouth shut." He said with a wink to Elliot. He turned to Ariana. "oh because you and Damon are never gross anywhere..." He said with a LOT of sarcasm.

He knew they'd get along so he'd sit back and eat his bacon.

Hmm..."Hopefully." Yes, Elliot was hoping for it, really. Puffers were too nice..and even Maxwell, though nice, seemed to have a dark side to him. Elliot could tell. She didn't want some..angelic beings for friends..what fun was that? When Elliot was so...evil herself.

"Of course not. that would just be plain rude." She raised an eyebrow. But of course, Elliot was NOT the mushy type, so no worries there...

heehee...Elliot managed to grin...with his wink...it was just really cute. Elliot was cuter...but hey, not everyone was as cute as Elliot. She then reached her hand over, and grabbed his, under the table of course, and cleared her throat. "Can you pass me that apple over there, Maxwell?" Because there was no way Elliot was eating bacon. Noooo.

She looked back at Ariana..."How long have you two been friends again?" Yeah. HOW LONG?

Ariana looked at the girl who seemed to just be asking question after question after question .. and ugh "since first year, are ya down with the questions.?" yeah she questioned her and got snappy about it as well. good lord this was just not a good day for her, first she gets kissed by captain then she breaks up with her boyfriend and ALL before breakfast on her birthday. She was just having the hardest of all days today. "Damon who?" she said to max indicating to him of their break up for reason which he knew

Maxwell took her hand under the table and gave it a little squeeze. "Sure, Ell.." He said handing her the apple. "Ariana and i have been best friends since i made her cry first year..." He said with a laugh, thinking of their first encounter.

He looked over to Ariana. "Damon, your boyfriend and..my cousin..." He said still dislike the face that they were cousins even if it was just by marriage.

Ha! Elliot's smirk widened a bit...her temper was showing? How pleasant! Elliot shook her head. "Not quite...but if someone's going to pout and all...I guess I'll stop..." she said, a bit nastily...heeheeee. Elliot didn't know whether she liked this girl...or not. The little snap didn't hurt Elliot's feelings; on the contrary, she felt a bit glad for it.

Damon..this talk of this Damon kid..whom Ariana didn't know? But Maxwell was claiming was her boyfriend? Well did she hit her head or something??!! Maybe she was crazy! Ha!

She took the apple from Maxwell and let go of his hand as she began to slice it up...eating it from the core was only something she would do outside. Inside was for the nice and neat...outside was for the 'messy.' Or, at least, that's how Elliot felt. "You made her cry? You? Maxwell Lupin? How in the world....?" she shot him a curious look...she couldn't imagine Max, of all people, making someone CRY? !

Ariana sighed at his words "yeah yeah you made me cry, i was weak, Shut up" she then rubbed her face in her hands "i broke up with him this morning max." she said softly, completly tuning elliot out. she just wanted to talk to max right now

Maxwell looked at Ariana. "Why? I mean i can't say i blame you..." He said not really sorry at all.

He turned to Elliot and nodded. "She acted as if she were better than me cause she thought i was Muggleborn so i got mad and told her off, what if i was muggleborn? So i told her off and she cried." He asked, not caring. If Elliot thought being muggleborn was bad that was on her..

Hmm, someone was NOT happy at all right now. Three guesses who, and it hint? It wasn't Elliot or Maxwell...pahaha! She was amused by this..crying. Elliot almost never cried. It showed weakness....oh, was she crying though? Elliot couldn't tell. But she was ignoring Elliot, now, which the blonde did NOT appreciate. Whatever.

she turned to face Maxwell...making sure she couldn't even see Ariana..."Oh? Muggleborn? Hmm." Elliot didn't say anything...because she would have felt the same way...only..."I wouldn't have cried about that." Heh.

She chanced a glance at Ariana to see how she was take THAT. Hmph. "I don't cry, actually." Not even when Grandpa Morganzo died. And the fact that she had shed a tear or two a few weeks ago with presley totaaaally didn't count..it didn't.

Ariana looked at max and shook her head "Figured you wouldnt care." she then looked at elliot "Sorry to empose." then to max "Have a good Breakfast." UGH and she stormed off, i mean she knew the lion hated him but she as Really really hurting right now

Maxwell looked between them. "Ariana!..." He said with a sigh. He turned to Elliot "Sorry about that..I'll talk to her later, she'll be fine. She needed to get over that fool anyway." Damon was lucky that this break up wasn't his fault.

"So...what should we talk about.." He said with a slight smirk.

Elliot merely stared at her like she was insane or something. Well. That was that, now wasn't it?

She looked at Max, completely unperturbed by what had happened. "Nothing to be sorry about. Though, please tell me if I'm ever a big...ninny like that. No offense, but boys aren't worth being...emotional about." Oops. Maybe he would take that the wrong way...Elliot rolled her eyes at herself, and tried to explain, "I mean...if you broke up with someone, no need to sulk about it. It's over, move on. Tears won't do anything." A philosophy Elliot lived by. Tears won't do anything...

Hmm...she ate a slice of her apple and shrugged. "I don't know. DO you think she likes me? I mean..it's not like you need her approval or anything..and I don't care much...but she could potentially make things hard for us if she didn't like me." Just being cautious. And Elliot was lousy at first impressions.

Maxwell wasn't sure what to say, he was just slightly offended by what she said until she explained. ohh just like Minerva. "No, i agree. What's the point of moping over someone you gave up...I mean if he broke up with her that would be one thing.." He said with a shrug.

"I don't know..she only just met you, although if she doesn't i'll hear about it so i'll let you know." He reached for her hand again, wondering if since Ariana wasn't there it would be okay.

Yeah..see? Exactly. "Yeah..but even then...if someone doesn't want to be with you...you should move on as well. It's pathetic to sit there and be sad all the time," she scowled, tucking a loose piece of hair behind her ear.

She finished her apple and felt full. One reason why she was so skinny was because she was filled so quickly...she had never eaten a lot. Oh well.

"Okay. You can be truthful. Because my feelings won't be hurt," she said with a smirk. And she was quite sure he wouldn't have trouble believing that. She let him grab her hand and shot him a rare smile. Not a smirk or a cheeky grin, but a smile.

It looked weird on her.

Maxwell nodded. "Yeah, i agree.." Moving on...is that was he was doing now? Yes. Min didn't want him, her loss. Elliot was funny and smart and liked him for him, he was happy with her. No more pining after the way things used to be.

Maxwell nodded. "Yeah, i'll let you know.." He said catching the smile, he'd never really seen her smile. It was different but it was also stunning...butterflies in his stomach. "Ell, you should smile more often...all jokes and sarcasm aside. You're really great and..I don't really know how to say what i'm thinking..." He said realizing he was finally over Min. Elliot was on his mind now...

Smile? Elliot rolled her eyes at him.."Max..I do smile..a lot." Right? A smirk was a type of smile. "Not many things make me smile. " Yep. Maybe Max....and sometimes her friends...but that's it...

Hm.."Just spit it out..it can't be hard," she said, a little exasperated..because Elliot never had trouble with words usually. SHe was especially gifted at it.

Maxwell shook his head. "No, normally you smirk or something...but that was a real smile and it was really great to see...I want to make you smile." He said smiling a little.

"Oh...uhh well, since i saw her come back i've been hung up on Min...until last night, when we kissed...i'm over her and i know that cause i know i really like you...you're really great.."

Hmm...Elliot eyed him..."Well..smiling is a natural reflex of our...mouth muscles? So I can't really control it." Yeah, sorry Max. But she did smirk at him..."Which means that you succeeded a great thing...making Elliot Mitchell Morganzo smile..." Heehee.

Elliot took in a breath, sharply, and didn't say anything for a bit...she drank her tea in silence..."So...when you asked me out..you weren't over her yet?" She didn't know how she felt about that one. Give her a second.

Maxwell smiled again, happily. "And i'll keep trying...every chance i get." he really wanted to...

"I...i should have worded that better..." He took a deep breath. "I thought she'd died so seeing her alive brought back old feelings...but i asked you out because i thought you were amazing and i'm really glad i did...i hope i didn't mess this up..." He said itching the back of his head.

Ha! Elliot rolled her eyes at that...good luck, Lion!

Hmm...she didn't let go of his hand...instead, she let her eyes meet his, as he spoke, and she nodded. "No. Not at all...you chose correctly, I assure you," she then smirked again. Elliot was faaaaar prettier, smarter...better...and just overall the BETTER choice. Hmph. "And you still...don't like her, right?" she asked, just making sure. BEcause if that was so...

well. Elliot would have had a boyfriend of ONE DAY. Which was majorly suuuck.

Maxwell was relieved he didn't mess things up. "No...all we do is fight and bicker and it's not worth it...and that's what i'm trying to tell you...i'm gonna be honest and you'll think i'm a total loser but i couldn't really sleep last night...i was up thinking about you...about that kiss.." He said summoning his courage so he didn't seem flustered, even though on the inside he couldn't believe he was telling her this.

Elliot couldn't help but grin, a bit evilly at this...but quickly wiped it from her face...Look concerned, not happy, you fool! Though it was hard. Because Elliot disliked Minnie, talk of Minnie, and Max even talking ABOUT Minnie. It was just..ugh.

And then what he said next...Elliot couldn't believe..."Oh..Maxwell...really?" because she honestly and literally didn't believe him! No one had ever...well, stayed up all night thinking about her..."And it couldn;t have been good..it was my first..." First kiss...she blushed at this, though. Because it was kind of embarrassing..especially when Maxwell had probably kissed Minnie dozens and dozens of times...
