With the sugary smell of the giant gingerbread house close by, the Hogwarts house elves can be seen tending to the ovens that have been brought to the Great Hall specifically for this event. Also tending to the ovens is half house elf Gryffindor prefect, Kurumi Hollingberry. She has set out an arrangement of cookie cutters in every shape imaginable, from the standard gingerbread man shape, to dragons, to flowers, to snowflakes. If you can imagine it, it is probably somewhere on the table along with rolling pins and enough gingerbread cookie dough to feed all of Hogwarts several times over. Simply roll out some dough, pick a cookie cutter, and hand over your cookie hopeful to one of the house elves or to Kurumi to be baked.
Beside this table is another lined with little bags of icing in spectrum of colors and bowls of candy used to decorate your cookie creation however you see fit. What can you do with your little delight? You can eat it, add it as a decoration to the gingerbread house nearby, or hang it from the giant Christmas tree as a Christmas ornament.
Want to do something while you wait for your cookies to come out of the oven or just had enough of decorating? Located just to the right of the decoration station is an area where your prefects and Quidditch captains have charmed marshmallows to float and move around in the air. Why not grab a friend or a house elf and see if you can catch one of these fluffy delights with your mouth?
Lewis couldn't quite believe that it had taken him that long to finally make his way over to where Kurumi was, baking with the house elves. But he wasn't even all that aware of that. Nor the rather large group of people surrounding her. His eyes were only on the Gryffindor who looked quite busy with something to be honest. Not that that meant he stopped approaching her or anything. It was just a random observation he made in his head right before he reached the ovens.
"Hey." He greeted her softly, sort of hugging her from behind and kissing the top of her head. Yes, why hadn't he come over here sooner again?! What could possibly have been more important than this? It was only now that he noticed the change in color of her hair and it still took him another second longer to realize that it was not naturally this color and definitely not around other people. He had just gotten so used to it. So maybe that was why he only became aware of it right now which made him both smile and blush slightly.
Also maybe it was because she wasn't the only one with pink hair.
Speaking of which...Lewis sort of froze in place once his eyes fell on the rather large group of people standing pretty close to them, some of them even seemingly in conversation with Kurumi. Cue more blushing on his side. Right, other people also inhabited this planet. He just stared at them all for a moment before taking a teeny tiny step to the side so that he at least wasn't that close to Kurumi anymore. "Hi..." Well, this was slightly awkward. Were they all here to bake with Kurumi and the house elves?

TINKA WAS USING HER HANDKERCHIEF!! HER HANDKERCHIEF WAS NOW COVERED IN HOUSE ELF SNOT! EEEEEEEEEK!
Smiling even more as she accepted the handkerchief, Kurumi put it in her pocket and then turned her attention back to the house elf. "I'm glad to hear that," she chirped, resisting the urge to hug the house elf again. "I'll be over at the icing if you need me, okay?"
Which was when Dylan showed up and Kurumi rolled her eyes slightly in his direction. "I've got a cookie cutter that looks like you," she laughed as she handed him a troll shaped one and bat her eyelashes oh-so-innocently in his direction. Kurumi didn't really have anything against Dylan and rather liked him - even if he called her Cookie - but he HAD made her best friend uncomfortable and squirmy...which was not cool.
Which was also why Kurumi didn't say anything to Vivi throwing sprinkles in his hair either. Hehehe.

The more people to distract her the better? Right?
Kurumi smiled meekly at Nessie, her fingers toying with a few of her pink locks idly. "I'm glad you are feeling a little better," she said in a soft whisper, her words implying a lot more than just that. Nessie always seemed to be going through something hard. "I'm good," she nodded, eyes flicking towards her hair again and then back to the Hufflepuff. "Sort of living one of my dreams right now, baking with the house elves. I really should have gotten to work more on my Hogwarts bucket list before now...but at least I have one thing I can properly check off!"
Some of the others were a bit more difficult - like Cam's telling her to catch a ghost. Not sure she would ever be able to properly do that.

Kurumi cookies were too perfect for her to decide to mess up so she would be extra careful.
Reaching over, she took one from the tray and began adding some chocolate icing to it--everything tasted better with chocolate. "How did you get them this way?" She asked distractedly, her brows knitted in concentration.
It had to be perfect or Kurumi would make her stop.
Deciding to brush on the green icing for her Welsh Green cookie, Kurumi hmm-ed and looked back at Alexa. "You mean the shimmer? I used some of this," she said as she passed the Gryffindor a small bowl of eatable sparkles. "I used one of the brushes, but you can also sprinkle it on with with fingers - just like you sprinkles things into cauldrons in potions." Professor Lafay wasn't around, right? Dragon Lady hated it when her class was compared to cooking and baking even though it WAS an obvious connection.

That was okay too, seeing as she probably shouldn't have said it out in the open anyway. Plus, as she contemplated going back to her cookies, even to the extent of picking up her dragon-shaped cookie cutter with a chocolate-covered hand, she realized something else. "Um, Kurumi? You kinda missed the cookie," she said hesitantly, pointing at the frosting covering the table. Maybe someone could clean that up? Or scoop it back onto the cookies or something?
Fidget fidget fumble fumble.
OH...oops... Kurumi HAD missed her cookie by...several inches now and removed her wand from her pant's pocket and cast a quick Scourgify over the are to clean it. There, now there was no sticky mess to look at. Only the seventh year ended up squeaking a moment later with Kendall's question. So, it's like your boyfriend's color? Eyes widening a bit more and cheeks even MORE rosy than they had been, Kurumi nodded her head as a almost uncharacteristically girlish smile tugged at the corners of her lips.

But before she could answer the Ravenclaw Kurumi felt a pair of warm and familiar arms wrap around her and her body sort of relaxed into the hug just as Lewis kissed the top of her head. The kiss caused another reaction from the Gryffindor, one that only Lewis had been capable of causing as of late and it wasn't her hair seeming to glow pink for a few moments. Nope. Kurumi sprouted a pair of black cat ears. "H-Hey," she replied back, suddenly not feel as in her element as she had been a few moments ago but not minding it in the slightest. She wanted to give him a quick kiss back - on the cheek or under his chin - but with so many eyes on them right now ELLA! Kurumi felt a little self-conscious and settled with lacing her fingers with his for the time being.
"I'm glad you stopped by," she smiled, chewing on her lower lip slightly for a moment. One would think that after being together for over a year they wouldn't blush as much around one another, but it sort of just happened. Especially when certain people made comments.
Noticing the glance towards her hair, Kurumi leaned towards Lewis slightly. "Ella...she called me Sir Lewis' Lady..." she explained. Hence the pink color. As for the cat ears...well...Lewis knew what that meant.

But she wasn't going to wear red.
The reaction from Kurumi about the prospect of a gift made her shake her head and grin ruefully. It was becoming a bit of a pattern, and she was definitely getting used to the idea that she didn't quite have the developing friendships she thought she did. STILL... presents were presents, and Vivi had always been a present giver. "Later. Don't stress."
And of course Lewis also noticed Vivi and her pick hair as well. "Maybe it is," she winked in return. Oh? No comment on the Gryffindor-Ravenclaw blending? See, Kurumi WAS right. Vivi had more Gryffindor in her than she would admit and Kurumi had more Ravenclaw in her than...wait, no, Kurumi already knew she had a lot of Ravenclaw in her.
"I don't have anything for you though," she pouted, giving Lewis' hand a squeeze instinctively. Well, she didn't have anything now...but NOW she would make sure she would later. Yep. So, no stressing NOW. That would come later.
And since they were all right here...
"Oh, Vivi, this is Lewis," she said as she nodded her head towards him. "He is one of the Hufflepuff prefects and my..." she stopped herself, blushing a bit more and catching Lewis' eye. It was just...weird for her to introduce Lewis as 'my boyfriend' and she didn't even really know why. Something about the word just seemed...not to fit. Like they were more than just that. It didn't really explain them, but then what did? Thankfully, her pause hadn't been for very long - just long enough for her to catch her breath or something. "...boyfriend. Lewis, this is my friend Vivi. She transferred here this term and has been helping Selina look for her bat. She made her hair pink just now so I wouldn't feel embarrassed."

Whatever. He hadn't come over for either one of them...
COOKIE...had cookies. Yuss!
When she handed him the cookie cutter, Dylan smirked. A troll, eh? Lovely. "At least I'm an attractive troll." Yes, that he was. Admit it..."...Don't you have any cookies already finished, though? I'm hungry." Dylan was giving her major sad-face. He was starving. He needed something now...
Oh. "Hello, Lew Lew."

So Kurumi didn't like to be in the spotlight? Ella looked at her thoughtfully, considering her own opinion on being in the limelight. "I guess I don't really like it either but..." And she smiled sheepishly. "I'm pretty awkward at times...and clumsy. That kind of attracts attention anyway so I might as well just embrace it, yeah?" So maybe she'd be okay with a job that meant she'd be in the public eye. Couldn't be any worse than falling into the fountain in your uniform in front of your classmates! Oh! And creature studies?! Ella GRINNED at the mention of this, bouncing excitedly. "Kurumi!" BEAM. "That's so awesome! I love care of magical creatures!" Bounce. Bounce. Bounce. "Maybe you could go and work with Professor Hands-..." BLUSH. "Professor Williamson again some day!" And convince him to come back to Hogwarts...
...
MR. KURUMI IS HEREEEEEEE!
Ella couldn't stop the GRIN that formed on her face after seeing her Prefect. SIR LEWIS! BEAM. She quite liked the guy, even if he was a bit quiet. Oh and his hair was super lovely. That was a total plus. She couldn't help but imagine his hair turning pink for a second...an image which caused her to giggle quite randomly. She cupped a hand over her mouth, looking around before looking down at the cookies. MEEP. No one had seen that, right?
And EEP! Sir Lewis and Sir Lewis' Lady were blushing and being SO adorable right now. D'awwww! But...O____O WAS KURUMI TURNING INTO A CAT? Did Ella need to call her Kurumi Kitty now? Hmm...This needed to be investigated further.
Walking over casually, the third year pretended to take interest in a Unicorn cookie cutter on the table near where Kurumi had been working. She then quite suddenly and NOT at all subtly hip bumped into Lewis. "WHOOPS!" She said, whipping around and acting like she was COMPLETELY shocked and embarrassed to have interrupted the couple being all cutesy. "SIR LEWIS!" BEAM. "I'm super sorry, I didn't even see you there." ...okay that was a lie and she did feel kind of bad for telling it but still, she was investigating. "Mr. Kurumi, you'll be quite happy to know that your lady has been doing an awesome job hosting this table! I bet Kurumi makes you cookies all the time." Grin. "And I just wanted to say that you two are..." Sheepish smile. "Thecutestcouplesince... ArielandPrinceEric." Bounce. Bounce. Bounce. Point. "Oh And Sir Lewis' lady?" Whisper. "I think you might be turning into a cat!" O__O "I can get the healer if you want...I'll be stealthy!"

He latched onto the shape comment with the feeling of gasping for air after holding your breath for too long. "Creatures? Is that why you're so good at Care of Magical Creatures?" "Nice to meet you, Boyfriend." She eyed him briefly, especially his hair, which seemed to be begging for a toss of sugary sprinkles to add a bit of flair. No. She would absolutely behave herself and not throw sprinkles at a stranger. Those would go to Gideon and Dylan.
Her attention went back to Kurumi, who seemed to be stuttering over the idea of a Christmas gift. At least the girl had introduced her as a friend, so really... Vivi was content. She was. "Please don't trouble yourself over it. My whole family is big on gifts. Homemade ones too, so I didn't go to any great expense." Just a bit of creative effort.

"It's an improvement. I wish I could polish up your disposition. It's miserable, and it is ruining my holiday cheer." Her tone was light, and Vivi offered the boy the other half of her lion cookie. See? Sharing.

Gideon watched the interaction between Vivi and Dylan out of the corner of his eyes as he decorated his cookies. He might have told her not to bother with him since it wasn't worth it but she was a big girl and could handle things on her own. He certainly didn't need to step in. The prefect had just handed his baking off the nearest house-elf to cook, nodding his thanks when the shimery patronus appeared before him and Kurumi, calling for both their attentions.
"Looks like the funs over," he mused getting up from his seat and dusting himself off one last time. Gideon then raised his voice to get all those baking to hear him, taking the lead in wrapping it up so Kurumi could work with her side of things since she was leading the house-elves. "Alright...finish up what you were doing and let's head back to our common rooms. Its getting late and Headmistress asks that we bring our fun to a close."
