Entrance to the Ravenclaw Common Room
 

If you've reached the seventh floor corridor, then you have almost reached the Ravenclaw Common Room. Keep going until you find the Eagles' tower and the spiral staircase that leads up to it.

At the top of the staircase is a door without a doorknob or keyhole but a bronze knocker in the shape of an eagle. In order to enter the common room, a person must answer a riddle asked by the eagle knocker; if they answer incorrectly, they must wait for someone else who gets it right. This might lead overconfident non-Ravenclaws to believe that they could break into the common room at any time, but then they would have over-exerted themselves climbing all the way up there only to be made to feel stupid by a simple door knocker.

If you're waiting on a friend, you can have a seat on the staircase leading up to the knob-less door and feel grateful that you don't have to walk all this way every day just to go to bed.

Damon followed behind her, "Taylor... Please, I was stupid, I should've rephrased... I want to be here with you." Damon looked at her, pleading, he'd just gotten her back, he didn't want to lose her again.

Tay cringed and turned, "What do you want, Damon?" She folded her arms, "Dont you see that we cant even be friends?" Taylor frowned at him then glanced at the door of the common room.

Damon looked at her, "Then explain how we've been close since the day we met? Or how you got the necklace back, or why your still wearing it if you truly think we can't be friends any longer?""

Taylor looked at him, "Infatuation, you dropped it and it floated to me..." The third question she didnt really have an answer so she tried, "I didnt want to leave it at the spring and I forgot to take it off in the room to give it to you."

Damon looked at her, "Infatuation? And I'm not saying that you can't have it... It is yours, I gave it to you as a gift... But there's a small latch on the inside of it that lifts the glass... I'm sure you'll want to change the pictures that're in there..." He sighed and started to turn.

Taylor sighed and grabbed his arm, pulling him close to him. "Damon... I am sorry." Tay had tears in her eyes, "I am so sorry, Damon." She frowned and looked away, letting go of his arms.

Damon looked down at her, "As am I Taylor..." He looked at her and didn't try to run away, "I guess we've both messed up with this... But I don't want us to be apart from each other... Even if we're just friends."

Taylor looked up at him and held her hand to him, "Damon... mi... Damon." She looked away and dropped her hand.

Damon started to reach for her hand but let it drop as hers did, "Taylor, mon... ami," He sighed.

Tay reach and took ahold of his hand, "Damon..." She sank to the floor and started to cry. "I missed you..." Taylor pulled on his hand.

Damon went down with her, squeezing her hand lightly, "I've missed you too." He pulled her close and rubbed her back, trying to comfort her.

Tay buried her head in his chest. "I lo--" She sighed and held him close. Taylor muttered, "Dont leave me for the moment, please..." Tay frowned.

Damon shook his head, "Of course I won't leave you." He still rubbed her back trying to calm her down.

Tay clinged to him like a little kid does their parents, "I am sorry... please forgive me..." She frowned and started to cry harder, "I am so stupid."

Damon shook his head, "Of course I can forgive you," He smoothed out her her, rocking her gently, "As long as you can forgive me as well,"

Taylor nodded, "Yeah, okay." She smiled and kissed him lightly, "Thank you..." Tay glanced away, embarassed.

Damon kissed her back, "Anytime," He gave a small smile.

Taylor looked at him and with a longing in her eyes, "Friends?" She wasnt ready to date again.

"Friends," Damon still gave a kind smile, "Feeling better?"

"I'll always be here to help you Tay," Damon smiled at her, "That you can count on."
