Callie couldn't believe how a student or anyone for that matter could look at Tinka and call her a filthy creature. What would she even need it for, green NEVER had looked good on her and she rarely wore brooches. Not her style.

Tinka began to profess the truth about not seeing the thing up here and Callie nodded along with her. The question was then raised of what they were doing. Professor Elwood looked around and saw the scene from the Headmistress's point of view; kids were lying all over the floor, chairs and desks overturned to look for the brooch and she was standing above all of them with a House Elf. "Um, yeah, we are doing Oneiromancy, Divination by dream interpretations." the blonde said, twisting her bangles around her wrist.

Speaking of her class. "Students, keep up the good work. I am hearing some excellent ideas on the symbols your classmates have seen in there dreams. Please continue working and you should be on the second person's dream by now, unless you were a late starter." She nodded their way before turning back to the red head.

OOC: So because of events happening in the classroom and the Database error that I have heard has effected a bunch of you all, I have chosen to extend this lesson until tomorrow evening (EST) at around 5 or 6 pm.

Anastasia seemed to not hear the explanations and babbling of the children and house elf who noticed her untimely arrival... but how was she to know when the Divination woman had class? It wasn't like the Headmistress set the school schedule or anything. *cough*

"Yes, ah, SO sorry for the interruption," the redhead attempted to lower her voice into a whisper as she came into the room, even though her voice still came out at a conversational tone, "I just mistook these... interpreting students for sleepers. My mistake." Not at all, really, but continuing on.

"Missing brooch aside, Ms. Elwood," because Annie felt certain that her loyal elves would soon find it, "I have a dream I need you to interpret." She felt smug for a moment as she realized that her needs just happened to align with the professor's lesson. Why, it was practically fate or something! Right, Seer lady? Right? Right??

Anyway. "Can I tell you the dream?" Annie swept further into the room and put a strong hand on the blonde's back, guiding her into the corner farthest from the students for now. She didn't wait for further permission and instead started spilling out her worries, which had been beguiling her since she had woken up.

"In my dream, it was night, with a bright crescent moon illuminating everything. I was standing by my window on the second floor, looking out a the grounds. The Forbidden Forest was on fire, and a weird green smoke was coming out of the fire. I watched as the fire spread all the way up to the lake, and then the lake, weirdly, caught fire too! It was so strange and scary, I found myself gasping and touching my heart, where I usually wear my brooch, you know. But my brooch wasn't there! I ran to the door of my chambers, in my dream, you know, and tried to pull the door open, but it was sealed shut. I was locked inside my own office! Then that horrid green smoke started billowing under the door of my office and I think I must have passed out in my dream due to green smoke inhalation, because when I woke up, I was gasping for air."

She presented her lengthy dream in the most serious of tones to the Divination professor. At the end of it, Annie added, "My brooch actually was missing by the time I woke up and went to look for it. So, what does this all MEAN?"

Elise looked up sharply as she heard Professor Elwood clapping to get their attention and looked at the board. Rubbing her neck, she winced a little. Maybe she shouldn't turn around so fast?

"You're right," she said, nodding. Then, taking out a piece of parchment and her pen, Elise pressed the button on the top before scribbling the dream onto her paper. Glancing at Sierra's paper, she nodded. Ladder, right. After copying that onto her own sheet, she flipped her textbook back open.

"There's the field," she said, pointing at her copy of the dream before looking up its meaning.

Elijah had been watching as his classmates had set to work in interpreting dreams and stuff, but Elijah didn't much feel like partnering up since he wasn't really interested in hearing other people jibber on about their dreams and problems and eugh! NO thank you.

So he took micro naps as he 'remembered' his dream, occasionally remembering to get up and inputting some information on his parchment to make it look like he was really doing the task at hand and totally not doodling pictures of Elwood being eaten by a dragon.

The Headmistress had arrived just as doddle!Elwood was being lowered into the dragons mouth, as if she had wanted to come see the show herself. However, the franticness emanating from her would otherwise suggest she was here on more serious matters. Perhaps it was the brooch that had her all flustered? "Maybe Elwood has it," Elijah had said allowed, not to anyone in particular, "She stole a locket from me once, so she had a bit of a reputation for taking jewelry that belonged to other people..."

With this in mind he even drew the brooch into the doodle he had been working on. Hmmm. Perfect.

Then Sarah wrote that down and looked up rain... as it was not stated what kind of rain it was Sarah just read on until she found the part about a girl getting her clothes wet... apparent that girl will entertain some person carelessly and will suffer the suspicions of friends for the unwise yielding to foolish enjoyments. WHAT! This dream is odd.. first it says about the girls energetic and nerve would get her prominence in business and she would have a happy future.. and then it talks about a girls love life and her relationship to friend after that. Nevertheless she wrote it down. Basically so far the girl has nerve which will get her to prominence in business and she would be happy, yet when she has nerve and is reckless in her romantic life then she may sour up relationships with friends.

Laura looked at Nigel and smiled. "Well that is so interesting." Laura giggled. "I'm going to be worried about winning a tennis tournament, maybe if I win this tennis tournament, I will have to go around the world and become a model for loads of different newspapers."

"Okay, I guess none of the dog things matter then! She laughed. "What kind of dog is he, just curious?" Eliza liked animals so she was always interested in talking about them. "And thanks. Maybe we'll figure this out in the end." She smiled back.

Eliza thought they needed one more symbol to try and find a cohesive theme to the dream. Maybe this last symbol, cookie, would help them understand better. She tried to look it up as quickly as she could. Flip, flip, flip. “Darn, the word ‘cookie’ isn’t listed. Maybe sweets?” Flip, flip “Okay…there’s ‘sweet taste’, how about…‘dessert‘?” Flip, flip. “Nope, no dessert either. Um..cocoa?” Flip, flip.

“Okay, ‘cocoa’ means you will cultivate distasteful friends for your own advancement and pleasure.” She looked at Ella strangely, hoping it wasn’t true. Of course it’s not, she thought. None of these have made much sense. “And ‘sweet taste’ means you’ll be praised for your pleasing conversation and calm demeanor in a time of commotion and distress. Well you kind of did that with the dog problem, how about in real life? Does that sound accurate? … Well I guess maybe it hasn’t happened yet though.” Eliza sighed. This subject was proving to be pretty difficult for her.

“So maybe… You will have some trouble soon, but you will overcome it. Maybe you or someone you know might get sick, but they’ll get better and you will have a calm demeanor throughout the situation.” She hoped that was what it meant at least. She’d like to think it would all end up all right for Ella, if this dream divination proved true that was. “I’m getting a good vibe from your dream. I mean it ended with cookies and cocoa! How much better could it get?” She smiled to try to clear the air of the weird translations they’d read.

“I guess that means it’s my turn now.” She left her parchment on her desk and crawled to the floor. She lied down and closed her eyes. The heat of the room was kind of nice, once you were in a sleeping position. She tried to remember her latest dream without actually falling asleep. It was definitely harder than she thought it would be. Speaking slowly, trying to remember every detail, she started, “It started with me sitting in the middle of a big field. It started to rain as I sat there…” She could still feel the drops hitting her forehead as she looked up as it began to fall. “I looked up at the sky and it was overcast, grey…then a tree appeared over me. A sort of short tree, but it had long branches and leaves that kept me dry from the rain. Then as the rain died down, the sun came out, and a brown horse with a black mane came galloping into the field. It whinnied at me, sort of playfully I think, and then I woke up.”

Yeah, her dream was odd. Hopefully they’d be able to decipher some of it though. Based on the difficulty she’d had though, she wasn’t so sure this book was the best reference. “Good luck,” she said with a sympathetic smile.

That would be interesting if that actually happened to Laura. "A Model and a Tennis Star. That is interesting. Okay, Now a Model means your social life will make you broke ,and worry and fights will follow. And she will be entangled in a love affair which will give her trouble through the selfishness of a friend." Nigel now had to think about how to interpret it.

"So maybe because you make so much money being a model. A lot a people want that money and get it from you. and people will just want you for your looks when your a model and your love life will suffer."

That is a lot of predicting for a object in a dream.

Divination was definitely turning into a circus. She was glad that Ethan found everything as humorous as she did. Still they needed to hurry up with the lesson because class had to be coming to an end soon. It seemed like they had been here forever.

Getting right to business Hannah also slumped in her seat because she was not going to do that whole floor thing either. "Ok here goes nothing...." she took a deep breath and told him something that didn't seem too weird. "The other night I had a dream that I was swimming alone in beautiful clear water at night with the moon and stars shining bright....I felt at peace." There. She had done it and it wasn't that bad after all. "Can't wait to see what the book has to say about that!" she said with a grin.

Laura couldn't help but blush when Nigel was talking about her love live, maybe he was going to be the love affair, you never know, he was quiet good looking after all but seriously he wouldn't do that, so she quickly pushed the thought out of her head, but then she realised she was playing with her hair, she quickly stopped it and smiled. "Well I do have the looks to be a model but I don't like the sound of that, it makes me sound sort of a rubbish person." Laura sighed.

Ethan nodded as Hannah relayed her dream... and waited for a moment to see if she wanted to add more.. Oh, was that it? Her dream seemed very basic, that he was sure she was leaving something out... but maybe it was too personal or she didn't want to share anything weird. Shrugging to himself, he could definitely understand that.

"Okay... so I guess key points are swimming, water, alone, night, moon, stars, contentment..." He certainly wasn't going to look all of those up, just three as was required. But he wasn't sure what the crazy book would have. He wasn't about to do extra work.

"Yeah.. right," he said with a chuckle as he rolled his eyes at the book. "Hopefully it's not 'Stay out of dark shadows unless you want to get eaten by a dragon.'" But he wouldn't be surprised... this book was proving to be absurd. Looking for 'swimming' or 'water', Ethan flipped through the pages of the book. Found it! "It says if you dream of swimming, then you will be successful." Well, that was pretty generic... Successful in what, exactly? "That's pretty good though, right? Even if it's fairly vague..." Ethan shot her a grin as he suppressed a chuckle. If one bought into this nonsense... who didn't want to be successful?

Then the nexxt part of the dream... there were now entries for eagle's nest yet there was an entry for nest and eagle. As the subject in the dream was a girl it meant that soon she would change abodes. The fact that the nest was empty showed that the girl was sad as she was missing a friend... Sarah wrote it down... this was all very puzzling. About the empty field... perhaps it was empty as it was freashly ploughed... in that case it mean an early rise in wealth and fortunate advancement to places of honor.However it could be a field freshly harrowed and ready for planting, which means that the girl is soon to benefit by her endeavor and long struggles for success.

Callie was waiting for the Headmistress to continue when none other than Elijah Wilde spoke up, suggesting that she had stolen the brooch--the exact thing she was worried the red head thought.

"Mr. Wilde, I have stolen nothing!" The blonde semi-shouted at him, her face turning pink. She turned to the Headmistress, placing her hands on her chest, pleading that the woman understand her. "I never even knew it was missing until Tinka showed up, I swear. Why would I ever steal from you, Mrs. Truebridge?" She was going to kill that Puff.

She looked at him with narrowed eyes. She would take 300 points from him if he got her fired and then probably do her best to get him expelled but that was to be figured out later. "I assume you are working on your assignment, I want a parchment at the end of class to see that you've been working and not just lolly-gagging around."

The Headmistress didn't seem too worried about the Hufflepuff child at the moment because...she had a dream that she wanted Elwood to interpret? Really? That was odd. "Of course..um, come have a seat--" but before she could offer her the armchair she had been sitting in before, the woman had pulled her off to a corner and began right away whispering the contents of the dream.

Professor Elwood nodded here and there and took notice of the facial expressions that were present as Anastasia related the events. They were all pretty firghtened or worried looking but still. When she was finished, Callie placed a tentative hand on the woman's shoulder. "It will be alright, we will find your brooch. Does it have any specific syntamental meanings?" that could effect the dream too. She just couldn't get over the oddness that the brooch was actually missing when the Headmistress woke up.

"What I can take away from your dream is this talk about the forest being on fire," she paused as she organized her thoughts, "It presents conflicting ideas of pleasure and happiness and then loss and confusion. Perhaps you, subconsiously are happy to be rid of the brooch or someone close to you feels that way?" She knew that that would sound crazy to the woman who had been frantically search the castle with her own private House Elf army but that's what the dream said to her. "The door represents things like secrets and of course locked areas, the brooch may be where it is locked away, somewhere where you cannot reach it." And the last bit, the part that had caught her right off the bat was the eeiry green smoke and flames.

She took a quick breath before continuing. "The green smoke...it um, usually means a spector of some sorts." she let that hang out in the air, and for the woman to reply. That last bit was never good news.

Being in the corner, Anastasia couldn't pick up much of what the students were saying to each other, much less what they were saying to her. She did note one thing in particular, though....

"Nnno...." she shook her red head nervously. "I mean, I... it's sentimental to me. To me, it represents all my work and life in Egypt, wwwith Ethan.... but it's not a f-f-family heirloom or anything...."

Yeah, it wasn't VALUABLE ENOUGH TO STEAL, ELWOOD. In other words. And back to the dream.... Annie didn't like the interpretation she was getting here.

"You're making it sound like the brooch is lost forever!" she pouted, not very quietly, when the woman was finished. "No, I'm NOT glad it's lost. If I were GLAD it was LOST, why would I be searching for it right now?!" And she pointed to poor Tinka, who was still in the room, bless her little elf heart.

The worst part of Elwood's lame explanation was at the end. Annie's eyes grew wide with authentic terror, and clapped her hands on the other woman's shoulders. "A SPECTOR or some sorts? A SPECTOR?" She started trembling as she released Calista, trembling up and down her arms and almost starting to weave like she was going to pass out.

"Lllike a gghost? That kkkind of ss...ssss....sp..." She couldn't even say it. "Ssspeector??!?!"

Hannah was glad that he didn't push about the dream. She was sure that he didn't believe that was all and he would be right in thinking that, but she gave enough that they would be able to complete the assignment and go on with their lives and that was all that was required of her.

"You're on the ball." Not a question just merely a statement. He was most likely just as ready as she was to be done with the whole thing. "Seriously." she said with a laugh about the dragon...with that book anything is possible. She watched as he looked up the meaning. Successful? Well at least it wasn't doom and gloom. "I was expecting it to say that I like to swim." Considering everything is doom and gloom or captain obvious. "I am successful in life." she said as she flipped her hair back and puffed out her chest. No but she really was. She shot him a look and followed it up with a smile.

"Maybe the next one will be doom and gloom."

Ariana looked up at the weird girl.. "But the water wasn't marshy.. it was clear and nice, Morganzo." geeze wasnt this girl listening.. though they were like really big so maybe they were like Bullfrogs.. hummmm "they were very large Soo let's go with the bull frogs." gigglee this fake dream was just gettign better adn better. Ari wouldnt never fall for a widow with children.. children were a big NO in her book

"So is that it? Are we done?" yes yes they were even if they werent

Elijah raised an eyebrow at the Professor. She had been very quick to deny the accusation and that was aalllwaaayys a good indicator of one's guilt, right? Peering at the Headmistress, Elijah could tell she didn't think it an entirely unlikely scenario either.

"But of course Professor Elwood. I am really trying my hardest to get a good dream journal written up for you. Thank you sooooo much for such an interesting lesson," he smiled, clearly putting on the show for the benefit of the Headmistress. He hated to make Elwood look good, but this was also making HIM look good which was important.

"I also wouldn't rule out Magnus, either. She does have to make all her clothes out of binbags, after all. She'd probably kill for something as beautiful as that brooch," he said aloud, again, to no one in particular as he tapped his wand on his doodle and made the pictures start to move on their own accord.

Through snickers of watching the animated dragon gollop up Elwood, he just mayyyy have been eavesdropping. By the sounds of things the Headmistress didn't much like ghosts... That could be a potentially wonderful prank... Hmmmm.

Ladder...ladder...

Gideon flipped through the pages on interpretations for first the letter l and then the word in question. However there were a few to chose from depending on how the ladder itself was presented within the dream. Since the little girl had been climbing up that meant that the ascending definition should work. Prosperity and happiness...two words that were happy. The seventh year wrote them down under ladder then paused to interpret them further.

"Could be finding love...having good grades in school.....good job...just all-around happiness," he mused quietly as he wrote it all down. It all depended on how much time passed for the little girl or the person the girl represented.

Elliot rolled her eyes..she still though she was right...whatever. "Fine!" she snapped, a bit peevishly, but not particularly at..Ariana in particular. Hmph. She was just getting tired of this....very quickly.

Bull frogs it was...Elliot scribbled it down and sighed. She peered at both fortunes..."Merlin, your fortune looks ten million times better than mine..." she said with a scowl..Ariana had cheated somehow! She had soooo

"You made it up! You made it all up! Just to have a better dream than I!" she suddenly cried, glaring at the Slytherin girl with...contempt. How DARE she?!

See Ariana? Elliot was NOT stupid...she can SO SEE RIGHT THROUGH YOUR LIES!!

Ella smiled, happy to talk about Dino. "He's a bloodhound, actually. And he's quite big for the breed, I think. He might have a mix of something else in him too." BEAM. "No problem." She added with a smile, ready to continue.

The third year watched with raised brow as the younger girl looked for one last symbol in her dream to interpret. She hoped there was something, knowing they'd need one more for the assignment. She smiled with relief when Eliza found cocoa, though the interpretation quickly wiped that off of her face. "I...that's...odd." And it didn't sound very Ella-ish to her. As for the 'sweet taste' definition, that actually did sound a bit like her. "I guess ...yeah, that does sound a bit like me. I am kind of calm in bad situations so-" Shrug. Sheesh. This dream interpreting business really was tough.

Ella grinned as the first year came to the end of her interpretation, nodding approvingly. "You know, I think that sounds pretty good. Nice job." BEAM. "It really couldn't get any better...unless there was ice cream!" She added with a giggle, smiling widely.

The badger watched as Eliza then took her place on the floor, ready to share her dream. She pulled some parchment and a quill towards her, ready to take some notes. As Eliza shared, Ella wrote down the words field, rain, sky, grey, tree, sun, and horse. She smiled when Eliza was finished, looking at her curiously. "That actually sounds like a really nice dream. Kind of peaceful, yeah?" And not at all scary or anything. "Right...so I have some words to check if you'd like to sit up." Or stay lying down...Ella remembered how nice it felt on the ground and didn't blame Eliza if she'd rather stay there.

"Alright...I think I'll start with field." Scrim. Scim. Scim. "It says here that the meaning depends on what the field was like. So if the crops in the field were dead, the dreamer has dreary prospects for the future." Which...didn't sound promising. "Green fields mean abundance and happiness, which is quite nice. Newly plowed fields mean a rise in wealth and a...a fortunate advancement." A fortunate advancement, huh? Tinka looked back and forth between professor lady and the Headmissus lady. Her eyes kept getting bigger and bigger, still waiting for a response. Headmissus be... she be doing lesson with studentsies? So.. she must think it's okay for Tinka to leave? Tinka no know for sure! But as the ladies kept sitting and ignoring, she decided she was dismissed. "Tinka go back to looking downstairs, then!"

And with a loud CRACK! she was gone.

Elliot glared some more...GLAREglareGLARE!!! "No! You see, I know you made it up!" she cried, and she literally had half a mind to tell the Professor..

"Well, since your FAKE dream is soooo good, I would have to imagine that whatever REAL dream you had was terrible." HMPH. She quickly glanced down at her paper...and scribbled some words, just thoughts...she didn't know why she was peeved by this! It wasn't a big deal, but then, Elliot had always been a bit of a...drama queen. OR rather, Drama Empress.

She didn't want to get yelled at for chatting or anything, though, so she sighed...and pretended to be writing down some stuff...about the dreams...yeah.

Eliza decided to continue to lie on the floor as she listened to her dream being analyzed. She put her arms back and placed her hands beneath her head as Ella went on. "Yes it was a good dream actually. I mean, at first the rain worried me a little. I thought it might storm, but it didn't."

She thought about the field again and saw it clearly. "The field was golden yellow, full of wheat I guess. So maybe that's the closest thing to grass, and to happiness?

The headmistress and professor were talking off in the corner, Gideon could see them out of the side of his vision but remained on his task. It wasn't his business. However the Hufflepuff troublemaker from COMC seemed to be at it again and the prefect absently shook his head too far away to do anything. Now where was he?

Rain...that was the next symbol he had picked out of the dream. He turned to the appropriate page and looked through the interpretations. There were two that fit, sort of though Gideon couldn't be sure if it was a clear shower so in the end he skipped that one. All it meant was more prosperity and pleasure instead of happiness. so onto the second to last one about a girl getting caught in the rain. When he read the interpretation over it seemed unclear at first until he registered what it meant. A young woman will entertain someone and be scorned for it. The seventh year quickly jotting it down and pushing onto the next symbol.

They didn't need to dwell on that subject and the indiscretions attached.

Ella's eyes grew a bit wider, nodding her head. "Temptation, huh? Sounds like ice cream talk to me." And she stifled a giggle, knowing Eliza was trying to be serious. "Possible downfall seems to be a ... reoccurring them, huh?" Not looking to good for one Ms. Ella Bishop..

"A little rain isn't so bad." Ella said thoughtfully, thinking about sun showers and that sort. "Though I guess a big thunder storm wouldn't have been good for you."

Nod.Nod.Nod. "Yeah...yeah, I think you're probably right. Well that's good. Happiness is always a good thing." Looking down at her list again, she crossed off field and decided to look up 'rain' next.
