Ella walked into the potions classroom, bag over her shoulder. She was a bit shocked when she saw Professor Lafay, noting how frail she looked. Meep. She was supposed to be getting better not worse, right? ...

Giving the woman a small smile, the badger greeted her. "Hello Professor." She then made her way to a seat in the middle of the classroom as quickly and quietly as she could. Eyeing the board, her eyes widened a bit. Truth Serums, eh? This was certainly going to be an interesting lesson...

Alexa was a bit hesitant about entering the potions class. It wasn't that she wasn't looking forward to the lesson because really she was but just as she reached the door she could clearly see the words 'Truth Serum' written on the board. She didn't know what to make off it.

Entering, she saw that the Professor looked even worse. "Professor..." Lex didn't like seeing her like that...without her being in all her intimidating glory, ready to strike fear in her heart, "Are you...are you alright...? Maybe you should see the Healer?" Just some advice from an overly concerned student then she took her seat and began wondering once again about the whole truth serum thing.

It might not be so bad. If she learnt to brew it right then just maybe she could make herself some and have a bit of fun. The idea was becoming more and more appealing to the young lion.

Mordred slipped inside the Potions Classroom and automatically took his seat in the middle. Reviewing early for the OWLs made him lose precious hours of sleep, and tried his best to stifle his yawn. Merlin knows what Lafay will do if she caught him yawning in her class. He shifted his gaze to the person in front of him and recognized who it was right away. But before he could poke this person, his eyes saw another person sitting way up front. “Professor?” he mumbled under his breath and his brows furrowed in disbelief. He sat up straight as he remembered his manners and cleared his throat. “Professor Lafay.” Mordred acknowledged his Head of House and turned to his Potions book. He wanted to ask so bad if she was okay, but he knew too well that his Head of House would not like to be questioned in front of the others, especially if they were not from Slytherin.

Oh. And there goes a Lion. Mordred smirked and shook his head as he pulled out his parchment and quill.

“So...Truth Serums. This should be interesting.” the boy thought, opening his book and began to read the chapter quietly.

For a rather small person, Vivi could sweep into a room. It was all about movement of the robes and the angle of her pointy little chin. So she swept into potions and offered the professor an imperious little nod. "Good day to you, Professor Lafay."

Ick. She looked sick. Why didn't she just get a substitute who wasn't a big meany-face or something? Vivi dropped her bag behind a workbench and took a seat.

Oooh look. Her baby lion. She winked at Lex.

Sierra stepped into the Potions classroom. She knew what her mother looked like these days. She saw her every day, sometimes more than once. Even still, it was hard to look up and meet her face to face, especially when Sierra noticed the woman was sitting behind the desk, and not right out front leaning on the desk like she usually was.

Sierra moved to the workstation closest to the professor's desk and put her bag down. "Hello," she said, trying to give a small smile. She didn't look very cheerful, though. That smile on her face didn't quite reach her eyes.

And there she was again. SOphie took a deep breath before entering the classroom in the dungeons. Once again, she had no idea what to expect from that lesson. It seemed like professor Lafay would collapse any second! The thought made Sophie shiver as she made her way towards Ella.

"Hello, professor." The badger said nodding her head at the older witch while she sat down next to her best friend. Sophie raised her eyebrows at Ella and placed her bag beside her. What in Merlins beard would happen if the Slytherin Head of House had a seizure or something right there in front of them??

Merlin... o_____o

Carigan got to class a little early. "Hello Professor..." she said, she was still traumatized from the first lesson of the year... or more-so the homework than the lesson. She couldn't get that dream about her sister out of her head, and she wasn't sure why. She sat down and unrolled a piece of parchment and wrote at the top of her page.

Elise knew that Lafay was sick, the whole school did. So she didn't quite expect to see her at class. And when Elise had found out that she would be there, she'd assumed that maybe Lafay had gotten better. But that was not the case.

The Potions Mistress seemed worse than ever, and thinner than Elise could remember her. Forcing herself to keep a neutral face, Elise dipped her head a little. "Good day, professor," she said, offering a small smile before turning around to look for a seat. And sitting down in it.

Ariana Skipped and hopped her way down to the potions classroom. Having moped around for the past 2 weeks over nothing wore her out and she wanted nothing more then to actually go to class.. gotta keep her grades up up up. she couldn't fail this year.. her dumbmuggle father would never let her live it down if she did.

Walking into the classroom she beamed over at the desk where she expected to find Lafay standing but she was sitting "Good day professor." she said giving a nod... almost more of a bow maybe to the woman. she was in a great mood today to say the least. she took a seat in the third row and looked up at the board and oh my God they were doing Truth Serums! *bounce bounce mental bouncee!* this was going to be too great.

Jory made his way to the Potions classroom, looking forward to another lesson. He hoped Professor Lafay was feeling better by now. But he was shocked to see her looking worse than the last time. "Why isn't she better as yet?'' he wondered.

"Good day, Professor,'' he said then he made his way to a nearby seat.

Violet walked into the Potions classroom quietly and noticed that she was a little bit early to class. She took a moment to scan around the room, then noticed her favorite younger Hufflpuff sitting in the middle of the classroom. As Violet made her way towards her desk, her eyes went to the front of the classroom where she had seen Professor Lafay looking very frail, and it almost broke Violet's heart just at the sight of her Potions Professor. How strong she was for still coming to today's lesson, but her strength didn't surprise Violet at all, after attending her classes for over six years now.

Instead of speaking to the very weak looking Professor, the sixteen year old just gave her a gentle smile followed by a light nod as she was taking her seat beside Ella. Once Violet had sat down and got herself situated, she took a moment to look over at her Elly Bean and gave her a calm smile, obviously not the normal greeting she usually gave her, but Violet already knew whose class she was in at the moment, so she had to keep her poise, at least until the end of the lesson.

Bliss walked slowly into class, she hadn't been feeling too well lately, but she was determined to make it to Potions, as it was favourite lesson. When she reached the classroom, she noted than Professor Lefay was looking worse than she did. Bliss grimaced slightly before looking up at the Professor and smiling. "Hello, Professor," she said cheerfully, before making her way to her seat.

She sat down near the front and plopped her bag on the floor and looked at the title on the board. 'Truth Serums', it read. Well, Bliss thought with a small smile, this should be interesting. She propped her elbows up on the desk and rested her head on her hands and waited for everyone to arrive.

That last potion they made for dreams was a bit unnervingly effective. And Vickers was still shuddering at the clarity of which he experienced THE dream. Indeed it was something he was asking for, but now after having received exactly what he wanted it had the strangest effect-- it wasnt much like a dream that fades away, now it was like he relieved the traumatic experience as real as he was now walking into this classroom.

His thoughts were interrupted when he turned his head at the Professor for his customary greeting. Merlin should she even be walking about? "Good day Professor Lafay..." he murmured in earnest "... do you need any help with anything today Ma'am?" Anything at all? Yes he's offering again, even if he remembered she declined it last class.

Potions lesson time, again. Nerida had no idea what to expect from that lesson. It always seemed like crazy things happened. Hopefully Professor Lafay wouldn't freak out or faint during the lesson. As she entered the class she noticed how sickly the Professor was looking, everyone knew she was sick but she hadn't expected her to look so sick.

"Hello, Professor Lafay." The Ravenclaw said as she found a seat near the front. She liked sitting in the front better since she had a hard time seeing from the back but not because she didn't wear her glasses though.She placed her bag down and wondered if her mum was looking like Professor Lafay all sickly...Merlin, she did not want to think about that... She took her journal out and fliped to a blank page and wrote Truth Serums down. Should be an intresting lesson.

Thane peered inside an open door, and let out a sigh of relief. The Potion's professor sat behind her desk and the students were slowly filing into the classroom. YES. He found his way to the classroom without being lost and confused. Maybe he was getting better at navigating through the castle. Clearly.

Thane followed a couple of students in, a hint of a smile on his face as he went ahead to greet the professor but chickened out. Instead, he returned to his 'forever alone' corner, unaware of Professor Lafay's health condition.

Truth serums, huh? Well, they'd make for an interesting lesson. Excited.

Another Potions lesson. Kendall had decided to attend, mainly because of the fact she hadn't died from the dream potion, but she still wasn't entirely sure she could trust anything they brewed. Plus, if last lesson was anything to consider, Professor Lafay probably still wouldn't exactly be back to normal. She was just hoping the Potions professor hadn't turned into a zombie over the previous weeks. Especially since she'd forgotten to ask Patrick if his head of house was still looking really sick. She'd just have to find out for herself, and she stepped into the classroom warily, pink-streaked hair pulled back into a ponytail to keep it out of her face. She didn't want any accidents happening either, like her hair getting lit on fire or dipped into potions. She had enough problems with it without anything like that.

Making her way to her usual workstation, the first thing her hazel eyes lit on were the words written on the board. Truth serums... Is this 'cause of the question I'd asked her at the end of last lesson?, she wondered, carefully setting her supplies down as she looked around for the professor. The woman had brushed her question off then, but now they were exploring the same subject? She didn't think it was a coincidence, but she wasn't going to ask. Especially as she found the woman seated behind her desk, looking at least halfway toward a zombie appearance. This is not good, she thought, still managing a smile. "Hello Professor Lafay," she said, before taking a seat quietly. Zombie professors were not good, but she could hope that it wouldn't end up happening.

Beezus, almost dragging herself entered the Potions Classroom without much of a pleasant expression. The Dream Elixir did its magic, and her dreams became more vivid. The only problem was, she kept dreaming about nasty things...mostly, things in the past that keeps on haunting her.

Her only compensation was that she knew the potion was brewed correctly because it did what it was supposed to do. Her friends were also helpful. With their incessant nagging, quirks and antics, she forgets the woes for some time.

Her dark brown eyes immediately searched the room for their teacher. Having the dreams were already distressing for her, but it seems like Professor Lafay was having more than she could take for she was undeniably thinner compared to when Holidays started. Something majorly wrong was definitely going on. "Hello Professor Lafay," she said, nodding at the woman and staring at her exhausted face for a few seconds before walking off to sit in her usual spot.

Another day, another Potions class.

Juliet was a bit tired this time. It's winter, cold and still chilly. The dungeons are not helping with warming them because it's practically an ice zone over here. So people should be thankful that they live upstairs. Thank Merlin she's not coming down with something.

Walking inside the room, Juliet noticed Lafay. Is it just her or does Lafay look paler or more awful than the last time she saw her? This is weird. Getting weird. "G-good day professor" she said as her eyes lingered over to Professor Lafay for awhile. Should she ask her the same thing she asked her last time? Should she get the Healer or--- nah! That's not a good idea. She then walked over to an empty seat and sat down quietly.

Moving her eyes over to the board she read "Truth Serums" whispering it to herself. NOW THIS! THIS, for sure, will be fun.

Kurumi made her way to the Potions classroom feeling a little apprehensive, and not just because of her dreams. The moment her eyes fell on Professor Lafay the Gryffindor's stomach tied in knots as she slowly made her way towards the front, passing by Sierra's desk as she did. She ended up uncharacteristically pausing here to venture a glance at the Slytherin and offered a small smile. "Hey...Sierra," she said before moving along to her usual seat and setting her bag on the ground.

She offered Professor Lafay a weak smile and a small bow before she took her seat and took a look at the board. Truth Serums....this was...going to be a theoretical lesson maybe? Yes? Only bad things could come from a homework assignment based on this...possibly worse than the Polyjuice Potion and Kurumi really...REALLY did not want to have anything that resemble a repeat of that.

Another Potions lesson. And Professor Lafay looked even worse than last time. A lot. This time Lewis may have stared at her a second longer than could be considered normal polite behavior but only because he was so shocked by her appearance. If she kept getting worse like she was now Lewis wasn't sure what she would look like for their next lesson. Or if she would be present for it.

Or if she was even going to have a choice of whether or not to be present.

"Good day, Professor." Bowing his head slightly in greeting, Lewis walked past Professor Lafay's desk, still glancing at her once in a while with a rather wary look on his face. She probably wasn't exactly someone who would ask for help even if she needed it so he wasn't entirely sure what to do. "Do you think we should...do something?" He whispered to Kurumi once he'd taken a seat next to her, his eyes still on the professor in the front.

He hadn't even read what the class would be about, nor had had the chance to wonder what that implied.

As Daichi entered the potions classroom his eyes immediately fell on his head of house. And even though he was a little nervous each time he entered this class, he still felt horrible seeing the woman like that. He had never seen someone so ill before and the Slytherin wondered why she was even teaching. Clearly she should be resting right?

He wasn't going to ask if she was alright because clearly she wasn't.

The Slytherin first moved to the front of the class and gave the woman a small bow in greeting. "Hello Professor" he said , sending her a concerned look before he went to sit down somewhere in the middle of the classroom.

It was only then that he noticed the writing of truth serum and he suddenly gulped a little. They...they weren't going to use the serum in class right? There were things he wanted to keep a secret...

Taylor entered the classroom and glanced around. She sat down without a word to anyone. There was sadness but yet a slight hint of happiness in her eyes. Tay glazed and nodded at the words: Truth Serum. It should be interesting... as long as the professor wont make them actually take it... like other potions last year. Even though Taylor slept fine, she was still a little tired and unfocused.

Well that was fast. The first lesson was about the Dream Elixir... now this lesson they're having now was as interesting as the previous once. Truth serums... Wait, is it the same as Veritaserum? Kat had thought. Well... Veritaserum is truth serum... but, wouldn't it take about 28 days to brew this? Oh well...

Kat took a step inside the Classroom. As usual it was dark, since the Potions classroom was near the dungeons under the Lake where that humongous squid lives and rules its waters. Ok... "Good day, Professor," Kat greeted. She managed a small smile. It wouldn't hurt, right? Surely Lafay needed a little sunshine since most of them knew she had an illness.

Potioooooons.

Theo was slacking in the classroom department lately, since Quidditch had officially come back to life. Quidditch was a priority, you see. But he was planning on getting back into it, starting from today. He dragged himself to class, and sat down nearish to the front.

"Hello, professor." He said with chirp in his voice, before even noticing how awful she looked. Theo's eyes widened a little bit, but he decided that if he just sat down and shut up, it would all be okay.
