Minerva listened to Lafay on her next instruction. Looking at her kit she pulled out her silver knife. Making sure it was good and clean she pointed her wand "Scourgify", smiling she always wanted to be extra careful to have the cleanest tools. Lafay liked the tools clean and she didn't want to screw up.

Finding the devil's weed from her ingredients she looked at it. It seemed safer then the berry at least that would be nice, but she still felt her nerves as she had to cut right on the vein. She looked it over and found where that exact location was. Once the location was found she put the knife straight through the weed. Smiling she had put it in the exact location needed. Then she looked up for the next instruction.

No answer, hmm? Vivi didn't like the idea that she couldn't gauge how well she was doing. Sometimes, in spite of the ingredients and doing everything right, the potion just didn't go well, and you could self-correct if only you knew what was supposed to be happening.

"Professor?" Vivi repeated. "What color should it be after the devil's weed?" Or really any point in the potion.

Vivi removed her silver knife and eyed her leaves. What was the best way to hold them still without crushing them in the meantime? Just a gentle hand, she supposed, and Vivi framed the leaf with her fingertips. The knife was well balanced, and she sliced right along the leaf veins in sure motions.

There was a commotion from the Hufflepuff Quidditch captain before the girl hit the ground hard, and Vivi turned a cautious eye to the girl. She was not going to run to the rescue this time. No. She was going to just work on her potion and ignore the...

"Is someone going to help that poor girl?"

He watched as the professor showed them the leaf that they were supposed to be slicing. He watched as she effortlessly sliced through the leaves that she put down. He sure did like the name of the leaf, devil's weed! Though he had no idea what it did all he knew was that it sounded cool to him! Why was everything about starting over in this, why couldn't they just slice it up how they wanted and throw it onto the cauldron. Woaaahhh!! they were going to use a knife!? that was just awesome!! first the needle and now the knife! he hadn't been allowed to touch a knife before!! probably cause his parents knew what could happen if he got his hand on a knife. Dylan got out his berry with interest as he tried to remember what the professor had said about this little black thing! He felt pretty awesome knowing that in his hand he was holding a deadly berry, if only his parents knew what he had in his hand right now they would probably freakout. But they couldn't cause he was doing what he had been sent here to do and that was to learn magic, and making potions no matter how deadly was all related to magic! He got out his needle and looked at it in all its awesome shininess, he wondered what else he could do with this needle except pierce holes in the deadly berries. AND there was magical fire too! it hadnt hurt the professor when she burned her hand so if he could get a hold of some of this fire he could pretend that he was immune to said fire!

But back to what they were supposed to be doing, he was about to pierce the berry when he remembered that Kurumi had told him to clean everything that he used BEFORE he used it. The professor had cleaned hers too right? yeah he was sure that she had. So putting the needle on the table and picked up his wand "Sour.. I mean.. scourgify!" phew he didn't make a mistake. He looked at the needle that still looked the same, clean.. it had looked clean before but still he had to clean it, "Scourgify!" he pointed the wand at the needle again just to be sure that it was clean so that he wouldn't have to clean it again.

Now time to pierce the berry after he had cleaned the needle, he held the berry in his hand and aimed the needle at one point but he was not sure that he would make the berry. So he put the berry on the table and aimed at it, now if he did and missed then he would not hurt himself. He then went to pierce the berry when in fact he pierced the table, see!! thats why he put it on the table. But it was tough to get out and he had to use both hands to get the needle out. Now that he had it back he held it close to the berry so that this time he would not miss the berry, this time he did not miss the berry and in fact he managed to pierce the berry and turned the berry upside down so that the juice of the berry trickle down the needle before turning it back right way up. He saw that he managed to get some juice on his hand so he held the needle over the cauldron and watched at the juice made its way down the needle, before going DRIP!!! into the potion. He then burned the berry, it was awesome watching it burn as he did the same with the needle burnt it! He then cast "Scourgify" on the needle before moving onto the next part.

He then got his leaves and put them on the table.. he decided to do two first, he pointed his knife towards the leaves and started slicing down the vein as he was shown by the professor. But he somehow managed to go down the side of his leaves instead of right down the vein. "Drat!!" he said as he grabbed two more leaves and concentrated really hard on getting the leaves sliced down the veins as shown. After some intense concentration he managed to slice the leaves down the vein, "Yes!!! I did it!!!" he called out triumphantly as he put two more leaves down on the table and he managed to do the same to these too! Soon he had sliced them all and waited to see what he had to do with the leaves.

Now what?!

Impatient are we? She looked at his leaves and with her wand she set a few of the slices on fire. "You did those wrong, Shacklebear. Start over." She said and walked away with a pleased smirk... Had he done them wrong? Maybe... but that wasn't the point.

She turned around.

She knew someone would get it on them...

Oh course... it had to be a Hufflepuff.

She returned to her desk and put a potion on her desk. "Any prefect. Two Drops of this in her eyes. She'll return to normal in no time."

Hecate emptied the girl's cauldron. She'll either start over or watch someone else.



Hecate nodded at the kids. "There should be no change in color yet. Let's continue..." She said. "Put them into the cauldron gently." She took another ingredient out and showed it to the students in the palm of her hand. "These seeds are from a plant called Poison Hemlock or Devil's porridge. I want you to dip your pestle in the cauldron, shake it a bit, so it's just wet and not dripping, then putting the seeds into your mortar, crush them into a mush. Then when it's a paste-like consistency, spoon it in with a wooden spoon."

No changed in color yet. Kat took a peek inside her cauldron. Hmmm... well, nothing changed. Not the color. Then Kat took the leaves she cut in the vein and placed them inside the cauldron... slowly... gently... surely.

There. It's set, the leaves at least. Well, next.

What is it with this potions and the word 'Devil' for their ingredients? Surely, this potions won't burst them out like devils. Taking her pestle, Kat dipped it in her cauldron and shook it a bit so that drops fell down from it. Once it wasn't that dripping wet, Kat placed the seeds inside her mortar and crushed them.

Crush. Crush. Crush. Crush.

Finally, the seeds looked like mush/paste/ whatever. Kat took the wooden spoon and took a scoop. Ok.

Shacklebear? Heh. That was amusing.

Paying attention to the next bit of the demonstration, Kurumi grabbed her pestle and soaked it in her potion for a few seconds before tapping it gently against the side to remove the excess. Kurumi really did not like all the poison elements of this potion, so crushing the seeds was making her rather uneasy...

Doing so very carefully - and probably taking twice as long as she would have normally because she wasn't fully applying herself - the seeds eventually reached the proper consistency and Kurumi spooned it into her cauldron with a wooden spoon before returning to her notes.


Looking at Nessie, who was passed out on the ground, Kurumi glanced up when Professor Lafay asked for a prefect to come take a potion from her desk. She immediately made her way towards the front and took the vial with a small bow before hurrying back to her friend. Awkwardly, Kurumi pulled open one of her eyelids and allowed a drop to fall in Nessie's eye before she moved on to the other one.

So...this was going to help with the hallucinations...but what about the fainting?!

"Nessie...Nessie, can you hear me?" Kurumi asked as she rubbed the girl's eyelids very carefully with the tips of her fingers to spread the solution around a little.

Jory was concerned about Nessie but he saw Kurumi looking after her. "She'll be okay,'' he thought and turned his attention back to the potion.

He carefully added the leaves he had just cut. Eying the seeds with the weird name, the boy got out his pestle and dipped it into the cauldron. He shook it a few times to get excess off. Now, he dropped the seeds into the moist pestle and began to crush them. Crush, crush crush.

And now it was in the form of a paste. Jory grabbed a wooden spoon and scooped the paste into the cauldron.

Milton's eyes were on Lafay as he waited for an answer. And then his eyes were on his leaves .... that were on FIRE. She set his leaves on fire! And he did NOT do them wrong--they were perfect! Until she set them AFLAME.

But that didn't even bother him nearly as much as.... "It's Shacklebolt! Captain Shacklebolt! It's really not that hard to remember!" He didn't care that she was sick and falling apart and oozing or whatever the heck was going on with her. Milton knew she knew his name was Shacklebolt. Evil, EVIL woman.

Milton GLAAARED at her some more before stomping back over to the supplies to grab more leaves. He just let the other ones burn until there was nothing left. It was acting as a nice heater anyhow. Once he stomped back to his cauldron, Milton angrily, but carefully, sliced his leaves down the vein again. THERE.

And before Lafay could set them on fire, Milton dropped them into his cauldron, a GLARE still set on his face. He continued to GLARE as he listened to the next set of instructions and did as he was told. Grabbing his pestle, he dipped it into the cauldroon, shook off the excess water and began crushing the seeds in his mortar. He kept crushing it until it turned into a paste like Lafay said it would. That was when he grabbed his wooden spoon and dumped it into his cauldron.

But he didn't ask "now what" this time because who KNOWS what Lafay would set on fire. His FACE?!

Nerida looked over as Nessie collapsed...Whoops...Wonder what happened...Wasn't she and that other kid...Elijah throwing the potion earlier? After she saw Kurumi get up and go attend to her, Nerida knew Nessie would be fine.

No change in color. Good cause there wasn't in hers. She had finished slicing the other leaves before the Professor had went on with the new instructions. Now they were to gently place them into the cauldron. Okay! She picked up the leaves and gently put them into the cauldron. Time for the Poison Hemlock seeds....Devil's porridge! After writing down the new set of directions into her notebook she dipped her pestle into her cauldron. Shaking a bit afterwards so it was wet but not dripping. She placed her seeds into the mortar and begin to crush them. Once they had reached the paste-like consistency the Professor had spoke about she picked up her wooden spoon and spooned it into the cauldron.

Leaves had been set on fire, and the Hufflepuff captain had seen dragons and then fainted. Everything was just convincing Kendall more and more that this wasn't a dream potion and that Professor Lafay was trying to kill them all. Or at least some of them, because so far she'd remained unnoticed. Of course, she was smart enough to know that the only way to survive was to just follow instructions without questioning them, even if she still felt like she was going to protest human testing once the potions were finished. Unless they got a demonstration to know that it wasn't going to kill them, because she couldn't see why something that had so many ingredients with either 'deadly' or 'devil's' in their names could be good. She gently slipped her leaves into her cauldron, though. Making sure not to let her fingers get any of the liquid on them. Unless she could stick them into the fire again, like she'd been supposed to do after the berry juice. She managed to stay dry, either way, so fire wasn't needed.

Then she reached over for her mortar and pestle, Scourgifying them before carefully dipping the pestle into her cauldron. For all she knew, contamination was a one-way-ticket to dying. Or having her potion vanished and getting yelled at. Shaking it so most of the dripping was gone, she held it over her cauldron as she reached over with her other hand to gather up the hemlock seeds and placed them in her mortar. Crush, crush-y, crush, she thought, as she finally started using the pestle to crush the seeds. At least it helped her ignore the uneasiness, and she stopped once the mortar held a mushy paste. Retrieving her wooden spoon, she set the pestle down long enough to use her wand to Scourgify the spoon before using it to spoon the paste into her potion. Please don't kill me, she thought, waiting quietly for the next instruction.

SPOILER!!: Potions journal

Dreamer's Elixir-something? (either lets a person remember or forget their dreams)

Ingredients:
Water
1 cup valerian root
half a cup of Kava Kava (?)
1 berry of deadly nightshade
8 leaves of devil's weed
1 cup of Poison Hemlock seeds (devil’s porridge)
1 poppy flower
10 leaves of Calea Zacatechichi (?)

Steps:
1. clean cauldron (important)
2. fill cauldron to the neck with water (basically full)
3. light the fire underneath cauldron to boil the water
4. once the water boils, add the valerian and kava kava (mixes easier if in liquid form)
5.using a clean, 18 carat gold needle, pierce the nightshade berry, making sure to get a single drop of juice on the tip of the needle
6.set the berry on fire, using the magical burner under cauldron, burning it up entirely along with any remaining juice not on the needle
7. let the drop on the needle fall into the potion without touching anything other than the needle
8.burn any remaining juice from needle, clean it, and return to supplies
9.using silver knife, slice each leaf of devil’s weed carefully along the vein
10.place sliced leaves carefully into cauldron/potion
11.dip pestle into the liquid, shaking excess off so it’s just moist
12.place hemlock seeds into mortar, then crush with moist pestle until mushy (“paste-like consistency”)
13.spoon the hemlock seed paste into cauldron with a wooden spoon

Upon hearing that she could no longer help Nessie, Sarah returned to her seat and split the last remaining leaf. She then added the next instructions to her notes

Sarah then carefully placed her EIGHT leaves into the brew. Then she wetted her pestle (she had hastily scorufied it after realising other students were doing the same) and placing the seeds into the mortor she crushed them ferociousy until it was mushy.... well at least in her opinion. She was scared making potions was like making her mom's recipe for brownies. Her mom's brownie recipe would not work if over mixed or over baked. Then she took out the wooden spoon and after casting scourify on it she spooned out the paste into the brew. So far so good. It was also good by Nessie as Kurumi (was she not TOOO awesome) had helped her.

Louisa dragged the small plate with the devil's weeds closer and took out her penknife and scourgified it. One by one, the Ravenclaw set the weed on the table, made sure to hold it flat so that the vein was completely visible and put the penknife's edge on the top of the vein and sliiiiced it open, very careful not to go astray from it. All eight weeds were done, missing just a couple of weeds and redoing them, and then all were sliced and ready to use! Woo!



... Louisa took a look at her cauldron making sure the color didn't change. Nope, it didn't. Awesome. She grabbed the sliced leaves and gently tossed them in the cauldron, one by one.

Then came the next mission. Louisa grabbed her pestle, cleaned it with her wand and very gingerly dipped it into her cauldron's contents before taking it out a bit and shaking it to prevent any dripping and left it hovering over the liquid while she scourgified the mortar. Then she grabbed the cup of seeds, poured it inside and started crushing them with the dipped pestle. She made sure not to make it a sudden too strong bangs so that the seeds wouldn't fly out, that did happen few terms ago ahem ahem.

Crush crush crush crush... mush mush mush...

Louisa stopped crushing for a bit and shifted the pestle inside, feeling whether the consistency was creamy yet or not. Yes, it was. She put the pestle down, stretched her arm and flexed her hand for a bit and cleaned up the wooden spoon. And scoooooooooop, she scooped some creamy seeds and froze, waiting for the next instruction.

What was with Elijah? He seemed to love creating trouble in every class. Which was sort of cool, agreed! But not so much in Potions. In Lafay's class, that wasn't gonna happen. Ignoring whatever commotion was happening, Ira continued with her own work. She had a lot on her hands.

First the devil weed. Turning her attention back to Professor Lafay, Ira watched attentively as she carefully sliced the devil's weed. Feeling confident of herself, the fourth year took one of her devil's weed leaves and set it in front of her. Then, she grabbed his silver knife and carefully cleaned it. Now the vein. She just had to cut through the vein only. Yep, she could do this. if others could, she could too.

She placed placed the knife tip on the top of the leaf's vein. Carefully, she sliced down the vein very slowly making sure to not mess up and be precise with her slicing. And directly on the vein! Yes! It was as perfect as she hoped it could be!

And another Devil's ingredient! She had barely finished with the Devil's weed, as another ingredient was explained. Ira followed the instructions and dipped her pestle into the cauldron, into the mixture that was boiling, and had not yet changed colors, which was a good sign. Shaking of the runny drops, she put the seeds into the mortar.

Crush.. crush.. crush.. why couldn't they just use a spell to turn it all into a mushy paste? Crush.. crush..

There, a nice thick paste in her mortar. Then she picked up her wooden spoon and spooned it into the cauldron. Her work done for now, Ira waited for the next part.

Good. So she'll be okay. He had been starting to get seriously worried about his Captain. But the angel Kurumi had taken care of her. He sighed internally. Kurumi was so wonderful. Aaaaand I'm losing focus here.

After dumping the leaves in, he checked his potion. Sure enough, it was still the same color as it had always been. That's a good sign! he thought, heartened. What was DISheartening was the amount of poisonous materials they seemed to be working with. Was it always this way? Because that could get really bad really fast. Nevertheless, he dutifully copied this into his notebook. POISON HEMLOCK = DEVIL'S PORRIDGE.

Pao took the proper amount of seeds and placed them into his pestle. Then, taking his mortar, he stood on tiptoe and dipped it into the liquid. He carefully shook the excess off before beginning to grind away at the seeds. Man, this is a workout! Crush, crush, crush. Grind, grind, grind. Slowly but surely, the consistency became more and more like mush. When his arm was almost jello, he gave up and decided it was pasty enough. The first year began to dig out the seed-paste with his wooden spoon and, bit by bit, emptied it all into his cauldron.

After listening to Professor's instruction, she grabbed her quill and parchment and wrote down the next steps:



After writing the steps, she put the Devil's weeds into the cauldron gently. Then, afterwards she took the pestle and dipped it into the cauldron, shook it a bit. Then she grabbed the cup of the Poison Hemlock seeds and put them into the mortar and crushed them until it was paste-like texture. Then she grabbed the wooden spoon and spooned the mushed paste of the Hemlock seeds. She then waited for the next instruction.

More poison and devil related things! It just wouldn't be potions class if there wasn't a possibility that a puffer wouldn't make it out alive. She eyed the puffer that had already made a fool of themselves. Hmph! She paid attention to Lafay's next set of instructions. No change of color? She peered in her cauldron and it was still the same. So far so good.

She took her leaves that were cut so lovely and very gently put them into the cauldron as well. Devil's porridge time...right. She took her pestel and dipped it in the cauldron. She shook it a tiny bit to get the excess water off but not enough to make a mess. There her pestel was still wet enough to complete the next step. She grabbed the devil's seeds and put them in the mortar. Crush, crush, crush. When she finally got it in a paste like consistency she spooned it in with her handy dandy wooden spoon.

Well, This class was getting more interesting with each passing instruction. It seemed that Lafay hated Milton for some reason. Nigel wondered why. He followed Lafay's instructions thinking for a reason. Well Lafay was the head of Slytherin house and Milton was the captain of his house's quidditch team. That was the best Nigel could think of. When it became a paste-like gue, Nigel spooned it in with a wooden spoon. So now what's next.

What was that on her eyes?
Coming out of unconciousness, Renesmee felt something rubbing against her eyelids. She also felt something odd in her actual eyes. Whatever it was, it had her awake and it was in no time, that Ness could hear and feel what was going around her again.

The red head attempted to gently push away who's ever hands were touching her eyelids and then blinked. Kurumi was before her and talking to her. "Um..yeah..why wouldn't I be able to?" And what actually had happened? Pout. She was confused, the last thing she remembered was seeing dragons. "I'm fine, except where..where are the dragons?"

Slowly, Ness sat up and looked around only to see that Sarah and a few other students were eyeing her. Embarrassing, was this not. She then slowly got to her feet and eyed Elijah who was still at the working station beside her. This was his fault, wasn't it? Argh! She would soo get him after class, in fact she even started scheming now.

Looking at the now empty cauldron, Nessie sighed and began to remake her potion.

Eliza checked her cauldron to be sure the color hadn't changed. Nope, nothing yet... That was a good sign. At least she wasn't about to start hallucinating (like the other girl) from a plume of poisonous smoke or anything. Not yet anyway. She did hope those eyedrops would help the student come back to her senses. Since she wasn't a prefect, she knew she should just let the older students help the girl. She wouldn't want to make it any worse somehow.

Doing as she was told, she lowered her leaves into the cauldron carefully. She dropped them from a close enough distance that they wouldn't ripple the potion too much, but not so close that her fingertips were in danger of contact. She then grabbed her pestle and dipped it into the liquid in her cauldron. She let it drip off some excess and shook it gently to remove the rest. With her free hand, she sprinkled the seeds into her mortar to begin the mushing process. Yes, mushing.

She crushed and ground the seeds until they broke down into a thick paste. This seems about right, she thought. She picked up her wooden spoon and scooped the paste into her cauldron, again careful to avoid any messy plopping.

Belle followed the next step of the Professor's instructions. Her potion did not change color yet. She was glad of that. She took out the seeds and placed them in her hand. She dipped her pestle into the cauldron and shook it so it was just wet. Belle did not notice it was dripping. Then Belle put the seeds into the mortar and crushed them into mush.
This was the fun part, she loved doing hands on things like this. It really was becoming mushy. It was quite cool. Then she spooned it with a wooden spoon when it was all done. Belle was waiting for the next set of directions.

Once the water in his cauldron began to boil, Ethan carefully poured in the liquid valerian root and Kava Kava. He looked up as Lafay demonstrated the next step. Highly, highly toxic? He gave the room a cursory glance... Ethan was fairly certain there were first years in this lesson. Either Lafay had a tremendous amount of faith in the most beginner of students or she wasn't too concerned about thinning out the student population... or she was just mental. Whatever... it wasn't really his concern at the moment. He was just intent on brewing the potion correctly.

Aftre the berry demonstration, Ethan repeated the steps. He took the gold needle from his supply, cleaned it and picked up the berry. He carefully pricked it and slowly pulled the needle out, allowing the one drop of juice to fall into his cauldron. The 15 year old quickly tossed the berry onto the fire before any more of the juice could come out. He did not want any of that on his skin.

Next was the devil's weed. Eight of them to be exact. He first watched as Lafay demonstrated the proper way to prepare the leaf, then pulled out his silver knife. Blocking out all the noise around him, the fifth year bent over each leaf as he slowly sliced open the vein, making sure the knife did not pierce the other side. Each opened leaf was carefully placed into the potion.

Ethan then took the poison hemlock seeds and placed them into the mortar. He then dipped the pestle into his potion, gently shaking off the excess liquid and began crushing the seeds. Once they seemed the proper consistency, he spooned them into the caldron. He was a little surprised they hadn't stirred it yet... but he was following the directions precisely as Lafay was instructing them. This one was too dangerous to mess up.

He watched Lafay demonstrated the next step. Then gently he put the leaves to the cauldron. Now time to work with the seeds, but before that he cleaned the mortar and pestle first. Carefully he dipped the pestle to the cauldron and shook it a bit. What was actually the function of dipping-your-pestle-to-the-potion-before-use-it. After he dipped it, then Gary put the seeds to the mortar and crushed it until it looked like a paste. He made sure that his wooden spoon was clean enough and use it to spoon the seed's paste.

*blink*

Did the Hufflepuff captain just fainted at the class? Wow, the berry must be so much poisonous so that could make her feeling so much hallucinate and passed out. See? Never make some trouble at Potions class, especially if the teacher is Lafay. He spoke to himself

After taking down a few notes, Silvia searched her potions kit for the gold needle. She cleaned it with a quick Scourgify and then reached for the berry. Knowing that the utmost care was needed when working with such a dangerous ingredient, Silvia had paid close attention to the professor's demonstration. Nevertheless, she was a bit nervous, afraid of doing something wrong. Carefully, she punctured the berry with the needle, and quickly placed the berry into the fire. Soon the berry was no more as Silvia held the needle above her cauldron and waited. DRIP. With that part finished, she held the needle to the fire to get rid of any other juice. Then with another Scourgify she cleaned off the needle once again. And for good measure, she gave her work area a quick cleaning as well.


Taking her silver knife, the third year gave it a Scourgify before picking up the first leaf. Looking at it closely, she made sure she could see the vein clearly. This was another high precision required step. Slowly, she touched the tip of the knife to the vein in the leaf and sliced it open. She continued to do the same with the next leaf until all of them were neatly sliced. The knife received another cleaning.


Gently Silvia added the leaves into the cauldron. The next step was to add the seeds. This potion seemed to require a lot of dangerous ingredients. After making sure her pestle and mortar were clean, Silvia put the seeds into the mortar and dipped the end of the pestle into the cauldron. Lifting it back out, she held it above the potion and shook off the excess liquid. Then the pestle found its way to the mortar and she crushed the seeds. Silvia continued to grind them up until they became a paste. Using her wooden spoon (after cleaning it of course), she spooned the seed paste into the potion.

Ella was a bit worried about Nessie, her eyes falling on the Captain and growing a bit wider. Meep. She was acting kind of strange, yeah? At least Professor Lafay didn't seem too concerned about it, that meant it was not too serious right? Right. No need to worry...

Turning her attention back to the Professor, Ella listened as she gave them the next set of instructions, scribbling down notes as she went along. No color change yet? Ella raised an eyebrow and checked her own brewing potion, nodding with approval. Yup, hers was still looking the same so that was good. She added the leaves gently as instructed and then looked up from her work, eyeing the next ingredient with curiosity.

Seeds, huh? Alright. Ella could deal with seeds. She reached for her mortar, pestle, and wooden spoon, setting them down in front of her. She then cleaned them to ensure that there would be no contamination during use. Next she picked up the pestle and dipped it into her cauldron, shaking it until there were no more drops coming off from it. Right, time to do some crushing.

Placing the seeds in the mortar, Ella used the pestle to crush them down. She worked hard, putting effort into creating the paste-like substance that was meant to go into the cauldron. When it looked to be the right consistency, the third year picked up the wooden spoon and added it to her potion.

There. Not so bad. And now that she'd finished that step, she cleaned off her tools and placed them neatly back on the table.

Elliot nodded, drinking in Lafay's words..she didn't want to mess up! Nooo!

She picked up the pestle and gently dipped it to where the top was damp...she let it drip a few seconds before putting the seeds onto the mortar. She began the crushing...part. Crushcrushcrush.

Merlin...WAS IT PASTE-LIKE YET?! She crushed for just a bit more and when she was satisfied with it...she stopped...waiting for the next instructions...Lafay hadn't said to put it IN the potion yet....
