Minerva came to her favorite place to hide and study. She loved this area and couldn't wait to get there. She stopped as she walked in and looked at the windows. How wonderful and beautiful they were. Minerva took her bag off her shoulder and set it down finding a seat, since they were all empty she could find the best one. She sat on a couple trying to see which one she would rather use. Once she found one next to the Dragon window. She opened her bag and pulled out a bookand her parchment. Beginning to read, she took notes as she went. She needed to find as much information for Maxwell as she could.

Maxwell walked into the library and started searching the window for Minnie. He found her near a Dragon window. He took the seat across of her. "Hey." He said opening up one of his many transfiguration books to a bookmarked page.

Minerva looked up and smiled as the Dragon in the glass gave a roar. "Hey Maxwell, I wasn't sure if you would be up here today or not." she looked back at her book, "I have been into some of the books I pulled from the library. Did you know this

maybe there is a marking on you that would help us figure out what animal you might become if you are able to do this. I'm not saying you can't do it, but it says in here that only very powerful wizards can do this." she know Maxwell was good, but was he that good, she wasn't sure.

Maxwell nodded. "Yeah i knew that, I'm not sure what i would have thought...And yeah i know the chances but i've been studying since first year i'm not gonna give up because of the chances." He said with a confident smile.

Minerva smiled "Well I'm glad your not going to give up. I think it is an awesome thing to try to accomplish and with my study skills, the book part is in the bag." she gave him a smile "What is it that your still looking for maybe I have already read it." She really did want to help Maxwell, they had been friends all summer and she liked hanging out with him. "So how's things with Taylor." she asked as her eyes were still in her book.

She walked over to the windows and sat by one of them. She pulled out a favorite book of hers and began reading to happily.

Maxwell smiled. "I don't really know, I guess whatever feature would transfer over to my Animagus form." He said thinking about it. He was grateful for Minerva's help she'd been a good friend to him all summer and he knew he could trust her, which was something rare. "Things are better, we had a really nice time on Saturday. We went to a little spot in the school that no one else knows about and just talked everything out and i think we're okay." He said happily.

Hmmm well he didn't wear glasses so he wouldn't have a mark like that. She kept looking in the book. "Well let's see maybe your hair color will become your fur color?" she looked at him trying to see if there were any good marks, birth marks, scars, that might have any indications. "This is going to be harder then I first thought." She looked in the book, "Oh I never knew this. My mom told me I was names after a professor that my great grandmother was best friends with. She is in this book, she was a cat. Maybe a cat would go with them name. What do you think, would I make a good cat?" she laughed a bit at her own joke. She knew she would never be able to do something like this. She was good, but most likely not that good. "Well that's good, I'm glad your better."

Maxwell laughed. "I think you'd make a splendid cat" He said jokingly. He turned over his right hand to show the palm. "I have these." He said showing her scars in the right palm that looked like they were once burns in the shape of birds footprints. He nodded. "Yeah, I am too, How are you and Damon?"

Hmmm, Minerva took his hand and studied the markings. What could that represent in an animal. She tried to think of different animals, "Well this become a certain marking in a paw fur that you will have or you might become a bird." she said jokingly. "I'm just kidding, so I'm a little confused do you get to pick the animal you want to become or you don't get to pick the animal?" This was such an interesting topic, she was so excited he asked her to help. She loved getting into the books and researching things. She shrugged a bit when he asked the Damon question "Well you know it's still knew, so we are getting to know each other. We spent all summer together as he planned and I just well hoped, now we can actually spend time concentrating on.. us." she tried to give a smile, but she knew that wasn't all true. The conversations always drifted back to one topic as much as she was trying to avoid that topic when with him.

Maxwell laughed a little about her saying he might turn into a bird. He shook his head a little. "It's very much like a Patronus, you don't get to pick it's based on your personality and it's often the same as your Patronus. So maybe I'll be a Lion." He said smirking a little. He nodded about her and Damon. "I know what you mean, it happened for me i can happen for you." He didn't mention Taylor's name because he was sure she was tired of hearing it.

Minerva smiled and thought about what he said. She never got a partronus to work last term, so she wasn't sure what hers was yet. "Well maybe you will be a fox" she giggled at this "because you are smart and can be sneaky when need be. Like our partner in crime stuff." she couldn't help but laugh. "Well a lion would be really cool, but again like we talked your not allowed to eat Damon or anything." she looked back into the book. "Oh see you could be a big dog and I could be a cat, wouldnt' that be a good partners in crime set up.." she couldn't help but keep laughing. It was so good to have some fun and laugh. Things had become to stressful with their group and she missed just laughing and having fun with them. "Yeah I'm still being hopeful I know his heart is broken, but hopefully I can pick up the pieces." she smirked a bit.

Maxwell laughed. "Maybe, but i'm not sure i'm smart enough for a Fox, but maybe a Lion." He smiled. "I have no reason to eat him anymore, he and i have made our peace." He said hoping that would make her happy. "I'm sure whatever i get we'll be a great team." He thought for a moment about her and Damon. "If anyone can pick up the pieces it'll be you."

Minerva put her nose back in the book. "Wow there were only seven registered at the ministry when this book was published. This is something that is really hard isn't it?" she couldn't believe Maxwell was going to try it, knowing there were only seven registered. "I think your smart enough to be a fox.. oh and it says in here that you will be able to communicate with other animals. That will be a cool trait, want to communicate with bouncers for me, I would love to know what that little guy is thinking." she thought of her puff ball that should be sitting on her bed if he was being a good pygmy puff. "Well let's hope I am, because I really want to be then one that helps him move on. I think it's best." she smiled being very hopeful at that point.

Maxwell nodded. "Yeah, I know. But there were a few Illegal ones too. You've heard of the Marauders right?" Who hadn't heard of his great-grand father and his friends? "They were Animagus' by fifth year and didn't have any help, they didn't start studying until third year." They were always his inspiration behind this, but he never thought that he was related to one. "I'll have to remember that, I'm sure talking to Animals will come in handy." He nodded. "I think so too, I'm sure you'll be able to help him."

Minerva looked at him for a few seconds. The Marauders... Did she read about them somewhere. She thought they sounded familiar, but at that moment wasn't so sure. Times likes these she hated that her mother never told her about this world until it was time to come to hogwarts. "I think I read about them in a book here, maybe first term. It's hard to say though, mom never talked much about the wizarding world, I didn't even know it was real until a year before our first term." she then thought for a few minutes, "why would they do it illegally? They could have gotten expelled." she shivered at the word.

Maxwell loved telling this story, it had always been a favorite. "Well, there were four Marauders. James Potter, Harry Potter's father. Sirius Black, Petter Pettigrew and Remus Lupin, My great-grandfather." He said with a bit of pride. "Now Lupin was a werewolf, and would lose control every full moon, but once his friends found out they wanted to be there for him so they learned to change shape so they could look after him and they all became Animagi i think the reason they were Illegal was they wanted to roam the grounds and how could they if everyone knew them?" He asked. "They were notorious rule breakers and pranksters, they were completely brilliant if you ask me."

Minerva listened to the story, she had heard the names in it from others and from reading in books, but had never heard that exact story. "Wow that is interesting. So your telling me your great grandfather was a werewolf?" Minerva shook her head in amazement. The things that go on around here made her head spin at times. She loved everything about it, but sometimes it still caught her off guard. "Well I can see why you are so smart at times for planning if they were great rule breakers." she laughed at bit.

Maxwell laughed and nodded. "Yes, not one but both of my father's grandfather's were werewolves." He said smiling. "Yeah, they were the best...My great-grandfather went on to teach Defense Against the Dark Arts here for a year." He smiled. "I always looked up to the Marauders, it was crazy to learn i was a descendant of one."

Minerva smiled "That would be amazing, but aren't werewolves, dangerous.. I mean how did anyone fall in love with them?" she didn't know much about werewolves, she had never seen one, just in a picture once it was another thing that she thought was fake, like teenwolf on television. "I'm sorry I don't mean to ask so many questions, but I guess I have never had a conversation like this before." it's not your typical off the street conversation, so she had to ask questions and find out the answers, right..right.

Maxwell nodded. "There are potions that keep them from changing, it's said that my great-grandmother was so in love with my great-grandfather that her patronus became a werewolf." He said smiling and hoping that one day he and Taylor might be the same. "I don't mind the questions, when i first found out i had a million questions for my dad and i even did some research on the subject on my own."

Minerva smiled "A patronus of a werewolf, now that would be interesting." she tried to think about it and couldn't image the fear it would bring seeing a silvery werewolf coming at you to give a message. She might hide behind a chair instead of coming to help. "Well hopefully you two will get the chance one day to have that, but Maxwell please don't scare her away. We are 13 years old, we have plenty of time for love and future plans. I might not say anything about that if I were you." she grinned at him. She was just trying to help and she knew Taylor was feeling weird about him talking about forever plans. "Wasn't he dangerous though if he turned?" she couldn't wrap her head around loving a werewolf. It was just so interesting.

Maxwell laughed a little. "I know, any time i bring up any hypothetical future situation just to make conversation she freaks out on me and i get why, so i try not to talk too much about love or the future." He said not feeling bad, but like a scolded child, he knew they were young bu he never thought things through. "Yes, he was very dangerous as a werewolf, that's why he had to leave Hogwarts."

Minerva thought about it for awhile. "He did finish his seven terms, though right?" she knew he came back as a professor, but did he finish school at Hogwarts. That would have been horrible if he didn't. She was a little frustrated that she didn't know all this information from the books she had read. She decided she needed to take some more books out. "Well stop it.." she teased "You want to keep her, then just keep your lovey thoughts to yourself." she chuckled a bit.
