At the point where the High Street in Hogsmeade meets the path winding down the hill from Hogwarts Castle, there is a banner snapping gently in the chilly November air.



Welcome to the anniversary celebration for Hogsmeade village. The shopkeepers are happy to serve the student population, and there's a nifty little coupon available if you visit this weekend. Take advantage of the anniversary specials offered in some shops and have fun!

Hogsmeade?

The blonde guy didn't know much about this place. Yeah, because it was his first time to visit this place. So, Gary didn't much know about this place. Maybe he need someone to accompany him. Well, actually he was waiting for someone here. Hopefully his girlfriend would be here soon. Yes, he was waiting for his girlfriend. He and Zhenya were officially in a relationship since Halloween night and today was their very first date. Though he still looked cool, but actually he was quiet nervous. He never asked any girl to have a date before.

Well, what should they do here?

Zhenya made her way to the main street of Hogsmeade where she was going to meet her incredibly handsome boyfriend. She had butterflies, and probably birds, in her stomach, the way it was feeling. She was nervous, but she really didn't need to be. He was her boyfriend now, but it was their first date. She had tried to dress up a little, but had only allowed a very limited number of nice clothing to come with her. She hadn't known she would wish she had some nicer clothes, but it was fine. She wore her very best pair of blue denim jeans with a black lacy top. It wasn't a girly top, either, which was perfect for her. She wore her long hair down and straight, and was wearing her girliest pair of shoes, which were only black flats. They were slightly less casual than the lace-up school shoes she always wore.

She spotted her boyfriend and walked over to him, and put her hands over his eyes, "Guess who?" she asked in a soft voice.

It was the first Hogsmeade weekend of the term. Naturally, Lewis had come here too, seeing as he could use a new quill. And some candy too since there was absolutely zero of his stack left. Another reason why'd come here today was because he'd heard that there was some kind of anniversary today. Or well, this weekend. Or this year or something. Anyway, he'd read somewhere - the Daily Prophet was it? - that today was a special kind of day here.

But that wasn't the only thing that was special about this Hogsmeade visit.

The best thing about today was that he wasn't here on his own. No, he had Kurumi right next to him. And her hand was in his, their fingers interlaced. Which still felt...new. Extremely new. And it was making him just a tiny bit nervous too. Not in a bad way, though. Not really. Stopping once they'd reached the little village, Lewis turned towards the Gryffindor next to him with a slightly pinkish hue on his cheeks. "Soo...where do you want to go?" She got to decide that because...well, just because.

While he was standing at the street, crossing his arms and waiting for his little cute girlfriend, suddenly Gary felt there was someone covered his eyes. He couldn't say anything but just smiled, because he knew who was the only person dared to do that to him. But he just pretended not to know who she was. "Err.. Excuse me, miss." he sounded cold.

"Sorry, but I already have a clumsy little girlfriend and know I am waiting for her." said him half joking and half serious. Then he chuckled and held her hand. Actually he wondered how could she do that, since he knew that Zhenya was not tall enough to reach it. Hehehe.

Kurumi always looked forward to Hogsmeade weekends because it was an excuse to get out of the castle and just away from all the stress provided by textbooks, classes, uniforms, and sometimes the castle walls themselves. Kurumi was even more excited this time due to the announcement that she had placed on the Gryffindor noticeboard about it being Hogsmeade's 1000 year anniversary. That seemed to be a trend, anniversaries that is. Last year it had been Hogwarts. This year Hogsmeade. Was there somewhere else with Hog in the name that would be having one next?

The crisp November weather was causing Kurumi's cheeks to glow a healthy rosy color, but that wasn't the only contributing factor. Squeezing Lewis' hand as they made their way down the street, Kurumi tucked a strand of her dark hair behind her ear and tried to just take in the moment of feeling their hands like this...in public...where people could see them. When he stopped, Kurumi tugged on her coat with her free hand to try and find her pocket where she had a small shopping list. "Um...everywhere?" she laughed, looking up at him with a shy smile. "I need to pick up some things at Honeyduke's for Treyen and you mentioned needing a new quill, so we should go to Scrivenshaft's as well." Kurumi's stomach grumbled softly, the noise muffled by her heavy coat just enough to not make the noise too embarrassing. Still, her cheeks took on a slightly pinker hue and she couldn't help but bite her lip shyly. "Maybe...something to eat first? I-If you are hungry too that is..."

Ella fastened the top button of her coat as she walked along the main street in Hogsmeade, a smile on her face. She was always happy to come here and it didn't hurt that she had a pocket full of money, as her supply of sweets was running rather low at the moment. She really needed to get some more gummy worms, chocolate frogs, and maybe even a few gummy bears for Edric. She figured he might appreciate those. With that in mind, the second year began to walk a little faster towards Honeydukes, smiling ear to ear.

Zhenya was glad he grabbed her hands so soon. Standing on her toes was not easy in these shoes. They were quite inflexible! She giggled as he said that she was clumsy and little, knowing they were sort of true. Well, she WAS little... compared to him. She leaped to stand in front of him and gave him a big hug.

"GUESS WHAT?" She said loudly, clearly VERY excited about something. She wanted to tell him! Hopefully he didn't already know.

Gary just chuckled when suddenly his girlfriend hugged him. Well, he just realized that Zhenya looked a little bit different than usual. She looked.. prettier. Wait, didn't she feel cold? "Hello..." He just smiled and stroked her long hair. Err.. What should he call her? Since he didn't have a special 'nickname' to her. Well, he didn't like nicknames. Gah, forget about that. He just need to call her as usual, right? "..Zhenya. You look different today." he said, though actually he preferred to see her in her usual attire.

The blonde guy just realized that his girlfriend liked to play a puzzle. Hehehe.. She had asked him so many things to be guessed by him. First, about herself and now.. What else? Since he didn't know about that, so he was eager to ask. "What?" he asked her back. "Do you have any surprise for me?"

Okay, now she was here too. He didn't know about this place much since he was new, right? Maybe she wanted to bring him to somewhere. "So, where do you want go first?" Perhaps she wanted to buy something or just had a drink at somewhere. He was quiet hungry too, maybe he could eat something.

Zhenya nodded at Gary, "I just wanted to look a bit... more like a girl," she admitted. "Rather than wear all my school things, and show you what I can look like." She smiled at him.

A surprise for him? Oh... oops. "No, of course not!" she said laughing. Maybe she would buy him some... apples from Honeydukes. That made her laugh, too. Maybe he would TRY some fudge? Probably not. But that was okay, it meant more for Zhenya. "Guess who made it onto the Quidditch team?" she asked. SHE DID! She was so excited to be back on the pitch with the team, and her bat. Well, hopefully with her bat.

"Oh have you ever been here?" she asked, as he was from Canada. "I will show you around," Where to first? "Well, seeing as it's cold and I'm getting hungry, let's go to the three broomsticks?" she suggested.

The blonde guy just smiled when he heard his girlfriend wanted to be different as usual. He admitted that she looked prettier, but. "I like you in your usual style actually." said him. It didn't mean that he didn't like her now. He appreciated it.

Did she say QUIDDITCH? Oh.. Suddenly he felt a little bit sad about that. It reminded him to his last quidditch match and that incident and.. his injury. No, she didn't know about that right? But his face still looked cool. Do you?" he asked. Who else, right? A smile appeared from his face and hugged her tight. "Congrats!" said him glad. Yeah, he was glad to know that she made it, but he was still sad if he realized that he couldn't go back to the field.. again maybe? Though the healers said that he need to take a long hiatus from quidditch, but Gary didn't know if he could make it again.

"No, I don't." he replied. Actually it was a silly question since she knew that he was new here, so he didn't know much about this place. So, where should they go first? "Okay, I'll follow you." He grabbed her hand and walked to the Three Broomsticks. Perhaps they could warm themselves with some hot drink and food too.

Calista had been excited to hear that the Headmaster had given his permission for the students to go and explore the Wizarding Village just down the road from the Castle this weekend and had eagerly awoken early that morning in order to head down.

She had apparently missed the memo that Professors were allowed there whenever they wanted.

She dressed for the day by putting on a pair of brown, leather boots that covered her dark jeans up to her knees and topped it off with a sage green top. After making her way down from the Divination tower, through the Castle and down the road she hummed to herself.

Once Professor Elwood made it to the Main Street she slowed her walk and just looked in excitement at all of the shops that lined the road. It was such a pretty little town.

Everywhere.

Lewis turned his head to take a look at the busy street, his eyes lingering on each of the shops he could see from here for a moment. Well, they COULD probably go everywhere. It wasn't like they had anything else to do today. It was the weekend after all. His gaze returned to Kurumi to meet hers again when she laughed, making him doubt for a moment that she'd been serious about going everywhere. Had that been a joke? Though, he really WOULDN'T mind going everywhere with Kurumi. As long as they were together, Lewis didn't really mind where they went.

Just nodding slowly when she mentioned both Honeydukes and Scrivenshaft's, Lewis smiled softly when she said that she had to buy something for Treyen. He really did miss the former Head Boy. And all of a sudden he felt quite bad for not having sent him any letters since the start of the new term. Though, Kurumi had kept him up-to-date about certain developments for sure. Still, he made a mental note to write a letter to the older boy first thing when they got back to the castle. Not that he wanted that to happen soon but they would have to return eventually.

His gaze dropped to her lips for a second when she bit them but was back on her violet eyes again when she mentioned food. As if on cue his own stomach grumbled slightly too, just barely loud enough to hear. "Yes, sounds good." Lewis smiled at her for a second longer before looking around again while going on. "I hear the food is quite good at The Three Broomsticks." He'd never actually had anything to eat there but you know. "Oh and...this shop...Madame Puddi-" He narrowed his eyes a little to make out the name of the shop he had just spotted. "Madame Puddifoots?" Was that the right name? "I'm pretty sure they serve food too...not sure if...if that's a restaurant or something else though." Huh. It kind of looked like a coffee shop or something to him.

Meeting his gaze again cause Kurumi's cheeks to glow a bit more. Kurumi was pretty sure that she would never get tired of him looking at her, or holding his hand. At least she hoped she never did. "He says hello, by the way," she said, noticing the smile that had crept across Lewis' lips when she had mentioned Treyen. Her eyes lingered there, his lips, for a few moments before looking back into his green eyes. "And...says he is glad you took his advice." She bit her lip for a moment, chewing on it softly as the question of what exactly Treyen's advice had been was. She had been given a small hint in one of the letters she had received from him, but nothing outright. So, naturally, Kurumi was curious. Hopefully Lewis would elaborate a little because, when it came to things that involved him, the Gryffindor wanted to know.

Kurumi held her other hand in front of her mouth when Lewis' stomach grumbled as well, a small giggle escaping her lips. "Either one is fine with me," she nodded. "Madam Puddifoots is better for its cakes and tea though. Maybe we can go there later? A treat to finish off the day?" she suggested, her thumb tracing random patterns over his hand for a moment as her eyes darted around the crowded street again. Her violet eyes narrowed for a moment when she saw a bookshop that she wasn't sure she had seen before. Then again, Kurumi had rarely ventured elsewhere in Hogsmeade besides the Three Broomsticks and Honeyduke's previous terms. "Oh! Can we see what Tomes and Scrolls Specialist Bookshop is like later as well?" she chirped, her curiosity perked.

When she had mentioned everywhere earlier, while she may have been half joking then, Kurumi had actually also been half serious.

Kurumi took a small step forward towards the Three Broomsticks, her fingers interlacing with Lewis' just a little more as she did. "Have you never been to the Three Broomsticks before?"

Justin dragged Ariana into the street. " Ari, I need to tell you something..."

Ariana crossed her arms "uhm yeah you do Justin." she said with anger and hurt in her voice.

" Ari, Ronnie and I did date... Very briefly... When I was done being ignored I moved on... I couldn't even find her to break up with her.... I just figured she'd get the message that you and I were together... When you and I met I was actually out looking for her so that I could break up with her." Justin pleaded. " This is the first time I've seen her inn a several weeks. "

Ariana rolled her eyes a bit "and you couldnt tell me this sooner that you just left a broad somewhere." she sighed and a tear fell down her cheek that she didnt even know was there "justin." she muttered out "that's not the right thing to do."

Justin took her chin in his hand and raised her eyes to his and wiped the tear from her cheek with his thumb. " I know I should've told you. But to be honest I never thought that you and I would've gotten on so well, so quick. And I still hadn't seen her since until just a few minutes ago... When Ronnie walked in. " Justin crouched just slightly to look into her eyes. " Babe, I'm sorry.... It won't ever happen again... my keeping something from you."

Ari crossed her arms again " you need to go apologize to her and make things right." WHAT!? when did ariana care about other people's feelings and stuff. this was weird way weird.

" Okay..." Justin conceded. " I'll go and talk to her when we go back in, alright? " he said as he kissed her on her cheek.

"yes you are, because im going with you." Because now she felt horrible about the looks and things she had been giving her the past few days

Justin nodded in agreement... and started for the door to the broomsticks.

Lewis' eyes widened a little in surprise at her comment about Treyen. "Really? Thanks." Oh, that wasn't exactly a good reply was it? No, not really. Well, maybe she would just think he was thanking HER for telling him or something. "I...I was just thinking that I had to write him some time." Then he could tell him 'hello' back. And other things too. The way she was looking at his lips now made him swallow and lick his lower lip subconsciously, only to bite it a moment later when she mentioned Treyen's advice. "Right. Yes. I'm glad about that too." He smiled to himself almost sheepishly at the memory of their talk last year.

Hang on, had Treyen told Kurumi about it?!

His lips automatically curled into a small smile when he heard her laugh, even though he wasn't entirely sure why she was laughing. Not that it mattered too much. He glanced back at the Puddifoot's shop again for a moment, nodding thoughtfully. "Oh, okay...so, have you been there already at some point?" Lewis only remembered walking past it a couple of times last term, had never been inside though. "Sure...sounds good." To be honest, he was way too hungry to just have cake right now so he was quite glad that she was suggesting The Three Broomsticks for now. Like she'd said, they could go to this Puddifoot's shop later if they wanted to. Maybe then he would finally get to see the inside of it too.

Lewis had been too busy to stare at their hands when Kurumi started to trace patterns on his to notice that she was looking back towards teh shops again. "What?" He had never heard of that shop, was it new? Finally looking back up he followed her gaze to see the shop's sign for himself. Huh. Interesting. "Of course...but we should go get something to eat first." Seeing as they both seemed to be REALLY hungry. Or at least he was. Following her when she took a step towards the pub, he was quickly back to walking right next to her. "No, I've been there." He gave her a slightly confused look as to why she would think that he hadn't.
