Oooh, Nora was so looking forward to this class! Why? Well, she simply liked the ancient runes.

After lazily making her way up to the fifth floor, which meant lots of stairs from the dungeons, Nora opened the door but froze there. "Wow," she mumbled under her breath, spotting professor Jenkins on the grass. There was grass. And a tree. And some watery thing. Whoa. "Hello, professor," she smiled at him with a small wave, walking across the... could that be called room? Well, whatever it was, she made herself comfortable on the grass. Given that they were on the fifth floor... he didn't bring the bugs as well, did he?

Liesel was actually looking quite forward to the study of ancient runes. The name seemed cool and at her old school she didn't recall it. She walked into the classroom spotting Professor Jenkins. "Hello Professor!" she said admiring the classroom. It looked cool. If it was something like astronomy she thought it would look weird like this but if the teacher liked this type of stuff then she liked the Professor. She walked over to a nice bit of the grass and sat down comfortably with her legs out. It was nice to stretch them out now.

West bounded on in with obvious eagerness and cheerfulness.

"Woaaaah!" They were inside but it was like being outside! He spotted the Rowan tree and practically ran over to it, leaping over the professor to get to it. Could he climb it? Would that be allowed?

He reached out and touched it speculatively.

Having not attended this class last year, Dylan quickly made his way to Ancient Runes. And upon entering the class, the Slytherin had to double check to make sure he hadn't somehow walked outside without realizing...

It was unconventional...but he could appreciate that. Perhaps with nature surrounding them, they might be able to get the feel of the lesson better...He, himself, had never really been one for Runes...but his mother had been. She used to be a big fan of doing little readings in her garden back home.

Man, this was taking him back to those days...

Spying a man laying in the grass, Dylan walked over. "...Good morning...Professor?" He really couldn't be sure. The man looked so laid back...

Ancient runes class? Gary had ever joined this class. Of course it was when he was still in Salem. Should he join this class too this term? Since he wanted to participate more to bring Slytherin reached the top again this term. He decided to join Ancient Runes this class. Okay, Lafay had brainwashed him to be ambitious and cunning, because he was Slytherin now.

The blonde guy walked to the classroom. He made sure he didn't get lost again. The classroom was located at the fifth floor. Right. Finally he found it! He entered the classroom and felt amazed. He liked it! This man seemed understand about how boring the ordinary classroom was. "Good day, Professor." said him polite.

It always pleased Oliver to see the reaction on the students faces when they entered his classroom. At least he knew he was getting that right. He gave the first few students who had entered a wave. "Hey there. Make yourselves comfortable." A thought occured to him then. "Your names would probably be good too." He should have gotten them to write out name tags like last term.

Merlin!

What was that?

Oliver rolled onto his stomach in time to see a very excited first year touching his tree. He eyed the boy for a moment. "You can climb it until the rest get here. But try not to break any of the branches." Because that would upset him greatly. He gave his wand a casal flick in the direction of the tree and cast a cushioning charm, just in case the kid decided to climb it.

"Cooooooooooooooool!"

It was possible Bentley now had competition because while she had flesh eating plants, this dude was letting West climb a tree IN CLASS.

YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

He shimmied up in about six seconds flat and then hung upside down and swung a bit, watching everyone else come in upside down.

Nigel was a little nervous for his first Ancient Runes class. He was think about his family when he entered the room. Oh Batman what is with all the grass and that Rowan Tree. Well i guess the professor will tell you why there is a water feature on his desk along with every thing else. He walked over a said "Hello, Professor I like the water feature." Nigel goes to find a comfortable spot to sit down on the glass waiting for class to start.

Oichi sauntered through the halls and found her way to Ancient Runes. She was unsure about this class due to muggle fokelore in movies but she also knew school was not a place where people were meant to be hurt/cursed. Thus she knew this class had to be something different, whether that be good or bad she would see soon enough. Oichi opened the door to the classroom and saw what looked like a park/rainforrest. Huh, what? Oh Yeah, Magic. Oichi walked further and saw the professor and a young boy swinging from a tree like a monkey. Okay, this was definitely wrong. "Uh, hi professor, are we supposed to be swinging from trees for this class? Because if so I will be on my way", Oichi did not like heights, no sir.

Make themselves comfortable? That she did. She was also praying that there weren't any bugs, but maybe... if she stopped thinking about them... maybe she wouldn't notice them.

... right?

And... names? "Oh, I'm..." Quickly searching through her bag, the girl took out a piece of parchment and scribbled her name on it. "Nora Reed," she grinned, holding the parchment for the professor to see. Good for him that she didn't have neither a long, nor a complicated name to remember. Heh.

"You're missing out!" West commented cheerily from his upside down perch in the Rowan tree. He made pew pew gestures with his fingers, pointing at the girl. Trees were awesome.

The only way it'd be cooler would be if the Rowan tree was a flesh eater.

But possibly that Gryffindor girl wouldn't agree.

Sarah worked in. THis was clas she was going to love! Sh eloved history as well as deciphering. Once, she had m,ade up a complicated language with her brother utilising blinking, yet problem was, what each blink or wink meant, no one, not even Sarah knew...

"Hello Professor, My name is Sarah Edwards" she said, rather facinated by the water feature.

"Can I join you up there?" Sarah asked them Slytherin, perched in the tree. She loved climbing trees.

Ancient Runes, what an interesting sounding class. Addie walked in to the classroom that looked just like the outdoors. "Hello Professor. I like your classroom," she said with a smile.

Then she spotted it. There was a tree with a Slytherin climbing it. "Hey can I join you?" Addie asked as she jumped to climb onto the first branch since it was a little high for her short figure. This was the coolest classroom ever.

His grins were upside down as he swuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuung back and forward, still hanging from the branch, but West pointed at the professor there on the ground.

"Yeah! If that dude says so, its his tree I think."

Right? Pretty sure.

"Professor, can I please climb the tree?" Sarah asked.

"Hello." Oliver said from his position on the grass and then grinned. "Thanks. I like it too." Twas why it was in the classroom.

Oliver raised his eyebrows at the youngster. Yeah nice to meet you too kid. He was rather tempted to tell her that, yes, climbng the tree was a requirement of the class. "It's not compulsory. But he seems to be enjoying himself." Seems she could do with a little enjoyment.

For a moment there, Oliver thought the girl had forgotten her own name and she was going through her bag trying to find it. He had to stop himself from laughing as she held up the parchment with her name on it. Apparently just telling him her name was not enough. "Nice to meet you Nora. May I keep the parchment?" You know, just in case he forgot her name.

"Hello ladies." The tree apparantly was quite popular.

That just made Oliver laugh. He'd never had a student call him a dude before. It was amusing.

"Yes, yes. Go ahead climb the tree." He waved his hand in the direction of the tree. "Treat it respectfully though or I'll take points and give you detention."

ooc: Alrighty I am heading off to bed now. Class will officially start in about six hours. As I won't be online, only West, Sarah and Addie may climb the tree. Please keep chatting to a minimum, Prof Jenkins is still in the room.

"Oh, well, I just don't like heights. You can enjoy climbing if you like, if the professor really does not mind", Oichi said ending with a smirk.

Oh, so the professor does not mind. "Okay, well if you condone it then thats that. But since it is optional I shall stay on the ground. I am not to fond of heights.", Oichi said nicely to the professor as she took a spot under the tree and took out her supplies. She was happy to be sitting on the nice comfy grass. The crazier kids could take a shot at the tree. What a nutty professor, allowing kids to climb trees in class, it is just asking for an accident to happen.

Oh, dear. This was so embarrassing!

Nora meant for the parchment to be a name tag or, well, a slightly bigger one, but professor Jenkins probably had something else in mind. Maybe he thought she was just some other silly girl, which she was, from time to time. "Err... sure," she said with a small smile, handing him the parchment.

So. Embarrassing.

Pyrsephonie walked into the Ancient Runes classroom and immediatly felt relaxed. The lush lawn floor and the beautiful water feature. And the Rowan tree. What a wonderful tree. She went up to the tree and put her hand on it. She closed her eyes and breathed in deeply. She suddenly missed her home, which was surrounded by nature. She walked away from the tree and over to the Professor. "Hello Professor, I'm Pyrsephonie Freja Oedegaard!" She smiled brightly at the Professor. Then she found herself a nice patch of grass and layed down on it, waiting for class to begin.

Minerva walked into the familiar class. She knew none of her friends would be in this class and she knew Professor Jenkins would recognize her from last term, but she had left in the middle of term and didn't go to any classes, but the first one. She smiled "Hello Professor, I don't know if you remember me or not. I'm Minerva Wheatborn I was at your first class last term, but had to leave and well got back right at the end. Runes confuses me, so I was hoping to be able to do the class over since well I only did the one class last term." she was hoping it would be okay for her to stay.

Ancient Runes! Ancient Runes! Ancient Runes!

COOL. This was going to be fun. Blue grinned as she skipped into the classroom. BUUUHT WAIT JUST A GOSH DARN MINUTE!!! She was outside inside. Maybe she had accidently gone outside instead of into the classroom. Hogwarts was pretty complicated so it was possible.

FROWNIE FACE.

She squinted and looked around for anyone she reconised because she was so CONFUSED right now. Then she spotted a few people who were dangling from a tree. Maybe a friend was dangling from a tree so Blue skipped over there and grinned when she saw West was there!

"West!" She stopped.

"Um...I'm lost." Her voice dropped to a whisper in case any oldies were listening and were going to make fun of her. "Do you know where the Ancient Runes lesson is?"

Squirm.

Theodore skipped into Ancient Runes, and even the name of the lesson gave him the creeps. It sounded extremely difficult. Once he stood through the door lazily, he stopped at the sight. What theeeeeeee....

A TREE.

THERE WAS A TREE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CLASSROOM. AND HE FELT LIKE HE WAS OUTSIDE.
BUT HE WASN'T.

Only at Hogwarts...
*sigh*

Theodore spotted West jumping about up there so he bounced up to join him. "WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO." What the heeeeeeeell was going on?! He heard Blue's question to West, and he thought about it, too.

This clearly wasn't Ancient Runes.

OHHHHH NOES, he would be late. Theo shuffled a bit in the tree, but he appeared to be stuck.

The professor was so nice! Sarah climbed the tree, rather carefully. She really didn't want to hurt it. Soon she was perched on a branch as well. It was hard to believe that she was still inside a classroom an not outside. How glorious it was up here, surveying the other students from above.

Narumi walked into the Ancient Ruins classroom, she turned around to her third year Ravenclaw friend and said Thanks for showing me where the lesson was see you around later! She walked up to the Professor and said Hello mam, I am Narumi Matsumoto. Its so wonderfull to be learning Ancient Runes!
