Vickers made his way down the dark dungeons from the Library, books and potions materials weighing heavily in his book bag. He enters the classroom, passing by the Potions Mistress as he made his way to the other side of the workstation "Good day Professor Lafay." he greeted her politely with a nod of his head and settled to his usual table near the front.

It was then that he realized there was a creature lying across the table instead of the usual burners. "Is that a Plimpy?" he murmured. He's read about them of course and can see the tell-tale features, but he has never actually seen a LIVE version of it.

It was a thoughtful West who found a seat in silence (inorite??!), not even bothering to notice the creature thing. Nope. just thinking.

Glum sorts of thoughts. Not even a chocolate frog would fix that.

... might help though? Was Lafay the kind of professor that had candy?

Potions was one of those really hard classes that involved having to actually DO work. Before coming to Hogwarts Elijah hadn't ever made a potion in his life and to this day he still didn't make his own potions outwith this classroom. If he needed a potion to be made he would just flirt with the nearest girl and the powers that are his attractiveness would ensure the potion would get made.

Piece of cake.

Elijah wondered if he could get someone to do that for him during today's class? So long as the Professor didn't notice him being purposefully lazy it would be okay, right?

He decided to make things more interesting and a bit of a challenge for himself and sat next to some Ravenclaw boy who was extremely less attractive this his gorgeous self. He was going to see if this boy's envy and innate NEED to look like Elijah would be just as effective a bribing tool. Heck, if the giant squid even fancied the pants off of Elijah, then the 'Claw stood NO chance.


"Hey man," Elijah greeted as he took the stool next to the boy. "Potions is a greeeeaaaat class right? One of my faaaavourrrites," he lied, "What about you? I bet this is one of your favs as well, am I right? Am I?"

It was then that the boy pointed out something on the teachers table. A huge pile of SNOT by the looks of things. What was with these Professors wanting to attempt to get him DIRTY. He was not going anywhere near that... "Plimpy, do you say?" he was far too good looking to be getting his hands dirty for the likes of a plimp-snot. The fact that the boy seemed eager with his answers was a good sign, though. Maybe Elijah was in for a successful chance of getting the boy to do his work for him. In return Elijah would totally offer him girl advice, or tips on how to look this damn fine.

Ella walked into potions with a smile. As stressed as this class usually made the second year, she really enjoyed mixing the different concoctions and watching them come out correctly. On her way into the classroom, she greeted the professor with a smile. "Hi Professor Lafay." And headed to find a seat.

O__o What was that?! The slimely thing laying across the table was quite gross looking! Ella wondered what on earth they'd be using it for. They weren't like... dissecting it or anything, right?! RIGHT?! Hopefully not. Looking away from the slime ball, Ella located the nearest seat and plopped down, waiting for the lesson to start.

Minerva felt the knot in her stomach as she walked into her favorite class. She hadn't been this nervous since first year. She loved potions and she couldn't wait to get into learning new ones, but after the dragon and after the bat she wasn't sure whether it was safe for her to be hear. She saw professor Lafay and took a deep breath, "Hello Professor" she would normally talk to her longer ask about her day, but she decided to just stay short and safe. She moved to a middle seat which was different then her usual first row seat she liked to have. She looked to the front and noticed something on the table in front, wondering what it was she pulled out her parchment and quill to be ready for class.

Aurora walked into the potions room and frowned slightly at the thing in the middle of the room. Why..? Oh. Ingredients maybe? Was it a... plimpy? Aurora didn't know really and, to be honest, she didn't care. She didn't have her usual drive for potions at the moment - she just wanted to curl up in bed.

It wasn't that she didn't love potions - of course she did - but her head hurt and she had to go home for the holidays soon and she was not looking forward to it... Anyway, that wasn't important right now. "Hello professor." she greeted, rubbing her eyes slightly. Ach, they were burning. Stupid winter. Stupid cold. Stupid... *sneeze*

Kurumi was running, literally, behind schedule and hurried her way into the classroom and sort of pouted to herself when nearly every single seat was already taken. "Good day, professor," she said with a small bow, making her way a little further towards the Potions Mistress so she could share something a bit more in confidence. "Thank you, for the potion." Surely Professor Lafay remembered what Kurumi was talking about without having to go into too many details. Offering a polite bow, Kurumi turned around and made her way back towards the stations.

Without really looking around, Kurumi made her way to the nearest open seat and quickly set down and set her bag on the ground beside her before taking a look at the table top and noticing that there were no burners....but a creature. Kurumi really did not like where this was going... and she liked it even less when she saw just who she had sat down next to.

Kurumi's one hand went to chest where she gripped the fabric of her robes, over the necklace to be specific, while her eyes widened and continued to rest on the Slytherin. She would move...but there were no other seats. Chewing on her lip, Kurumi averted her gaze and looked absently at the top of the table in front of her, hoping that somehow the way her hair had fallen over her face was hiding the blush that had risen in her cheeks.

He had just slipped on his glasses to take a closer look at the creature on his workstation when a voice interrupted his train of thought. He looked up and saw the boy he immediately recognized from COMC class "Oh hello there. Why yes, yes... I think Potions is one of the most important subjects offered at Hogwarts, being also that its a requirement in many courses of higher learning." he smiled congenially, quite happy at the notion that this is another student who just LOVED STUDYING as much as he did. He offered his hand to the Hufflepuff "I dont think I was able to get your name at Professor Williamson's class. My name is Vincenzo Vanderbilt."

João was more thoughtful than usual, and didn't even pay attention to the setting. He simply said a very monotone "Hello, professor," at the woman. He, who was the master of spotting different creatures, didn't even notice the thing until he was well seated and looked at it for a good minute. And even then, he didn't react except for changing his sitting position into a more straight one, and merely... waited.

Potions -the thing Sarah dreaded. You see - she had a lot of diifivulty following instruction and was rather disabled in the measuring sector. Therefore potions + sarah = chaos.
"Hello Professor" Sarah said with a smile and sat down.

Wow. Elijah thought that the kid had looked smart, but he hadn't quite expected him to SOUND like that. He was probably a soon-to-be-genius as much as Elijah was a soon-to-be-model. He was pleased with his selection. This 'Claw would make a good slave potions partner.

"I compllleeeetellly agree. It is so vital to our everyday living, and you are right, our education is so reliant on such an important field of study. I am so glad I have found someone to partner up with that feels exacccctlyyyy the same way I do," he placed a flat palm onto his chest where his heart would be to give off the impression of how 'emotional' he found their binding 'connection'.

"Pleased to meet you... um... Vinny," there was a very HIGH chance that Elijah would have screwed up that name. Vinny would have to do. And how could this kid not know HIS name? Everyone knew Elijah! Everyone! How could you not know who he was when he was so amazingly gorgeous. Perhaps Vinny was just trying to play it cool. He didn't want to make it seem as if he had been paying too much attention to Elijah and his good looks. Yeah, that was probably what it was.

"I'm Elijah Wilde," he placed his hand in Vinny's and shook. People had told him in the past that he gave the best handshakes, but he knew that already.

"So this plumpish thing," he nodded his head in the direction of the slime blob situated on their desk, "What exactly is it? Are we going to have to feed it or something? Is it even alive?" It looked sort of alive, but he couldn't be sure, it was just sort of there. He hoped to Merlin he had remembered to pack his gloves...

Kimalia had hummed to herself before arriving at one of her favorite classes, Potions of course. Once inside she stopped to smile at Professor Lafay. "Good Day, Professor." Before making her way to her... familiar seat, what was that thing doing in place of the burner? Grossness, she sat down trying to hide her disgust waiting for the lesson to begin.

Since the lecture hasn't started yet, and Jonathan couldn't really stare at the creature that was on the table. What on Merlin's name are they going to do today anyway? Are they going to make a potion that can change a creature into something else? Was it possible? So to distract himself he took out his Potions book and journal and place them on the table. Flipping through the table of contents, Jonathan read what they're going to tackle for this term. And by just reading it, he suddenly got giddy again and excited and just...

From the corner of his eyes, he saw someone taking a seat beside him. At first, Jonathan didn't bother looking because his eyes were still glued to his Potions book. But after a short while, his head slowly moved to look at the person sitting beside her and then it just suddenly felt like his heart stopped beating. He doesn't even know if he could feel himself breathing. He never really thought or at least expected she would sit beside him. Not after what happened or what he last said to her. So he was just there, staring at her. Half of him not believing that it's definitely her sitting beside him. Wait! Should he say something? Hello? What? Should he smile? Ack.

In the end, he just decided to bring his eyes back to his book. Well, this is.... going to be awkward.

Her elbows were on the table and her head resting in her palms. Isidora was having a stare down with the bound creature, a thoughtful one, but a stare down none the less.

It didn't look too happy, but who would if they were a prisoner?

The box of tools got thoughtful glances as well, but mostly she only had eyes for the prisoner at her table.

Meh, Elliot was cold. Freezing. She had her robes wrapped tightly around her, hoping against hopes that maaaaybe a warm fire would be beautifully flaming inside the dungeon...

Nope. Of course not, this was potions.

Elliot spotted a few familiar faces, but she did not smile. Cold made her a bit grumpy. The blonde sat down quickly, not noticing the strange creature until she was settle. How weird. Is he dead? hmm...a smirk crossed her face. This should be an interesting lesson...

"Professor," she nodded her head in greeting at the woman. Her blue eyes then traveled back to the creature, and she stared intently at it. Hmph.

As he moved to a seat at a desk reasonably close to the front of the classroom, Dale glanced up to the front of the room. "Good m-... good af-..." What the heck was the time? I really need a watch. "Hello Professor Lafay."

That conundrum partially dealt with, Dale left his eyes move back to the thing on the table. He slowly lowered himself down to his seat as he stared at it, and the Hufflepuff's voice seemed to be somewhere between slightly disgusted and impressed as he spoke again, "Ahhhh, that's grim," with a little smile on his face.

Then he sat and looked at it with interest before something else struck him. "I hope it's dead," Dale murmured to himself. He was not happy with killing something he'd already built an awesome rapport with. Not unlike a certain family member...

With that in mind, Dale didn't look at the thing again.

Silvia stepped into the Dungeon classroom. She was glad that she wasn't a Slytherin; she didn't really like it down here with no windows. "Hello Professor," she said as she passed the desk at the front and made her way to one of the tables. She set her bag down and pulled out her notebook. That's when she first really took notice of it, lying on the table in place of the burners. Ewww, were they really going to be working with that today? It was one of those fish-thingys that she had heard about, though she couldn't remember what they were called. She hated fish.

Louisa happily made her way aaaaaall the way down to the Dungeons, she had her bag over her shoulder and all of her books and special needs for Potions were in there as well.

As soon as her foot stepped into the classroom the Prefect smiled and greeted the woman, "Hello professor Lafay. Nice to see you again." Happiness all over the place!! YAAHH--

Louisa frowned on her way to one of the tables, and paused. What were those gross animals doing there? She made a face but quickly regained her happy face. Somehow something someone made her like this. She might have her cold still, but at least she wasn't as sneez- ACHU! Darn. Oh well, it was only once.

After plopping down on a seat, careful not to touch or disturb the tied up creature, Louisa glanced around her to find none other than THE Slytherin boy. Sitting on the table right next to hers. She looked at him longer than she had for the past... month? And no, she wasn't glaring or giving him any weird looks. She just looked at him, casually and very... softly.

There.

Back to look at the professor and wait for the lesson to start.

Angelina was so happy to finally go to potions! She began to love this class. With a smile on her face she walked into the room and said, "Hello, professor Lafay." She then took a set near the door in the back of the class a little near the back. When she got settled in she looked of the table. There were no burners but slimy things. She wasn't a big fan of slimy things. This will be an interesting class then.

Kennedy walked into the Potion's classroom and nearly stopped when he saw no cauldron at the front, but a strange creature. He couldn't get a really good look, but he made out its tied legs. Was it still alive? It didn't look like it. Hmm.

He made it to his usual seat in the front and set his bag down, his eyes still on the creature. Meh. He then turned to Professor Lafay. "Good day, Professor Lafay," he greeted with a grin. She should be in a good mood, Slytherin was currently top point earners.

So it was time for their first Potions lesson of the year. Oakey would have been completely mellow about the entire thing if the whole Baby Dragon thing hadn't happened at the Sanctuary. Instead he was terrified of what would happen in today's class. He gulped and stepped into the classroom. There was no way to not be spotted by Lafay so he entered into the classroom very slowly.
He faced Lafay and gave her a quick smile then quickly faced the other way!IDIOT, WHY DID YOU SMILE? SHE PROBABLY WANTS TO BLEED YOU DRY FOR HER NEXT POTION!. He hurried off to find a place to sit


Oakey managed to find an empty spot right next to Mordy. He brought his things over to him and set them down inspecting the icky creature's that lay before them. He gave it a disgusted look and looked at Mordy to see if he was giving off the same impression he was.
He took his seat and moved his things underneath him. Hey Mordy, what's up? Oakey greeted his best friend.


He then spotted Minerva not to far from where he was sitting. From a distance he gave her a look that showed he was just as stressed of being here than she was. Hopefully she would catch it and realize she wasn't alone in the class.
He looked down at the fish/frog once more and came to the conclusion that this was the substitute creature they would be dissecting since Lafay failed to get her hands on Roro, no thanks to Minerva and him.

Down the hall was the class Oichi had been least looking foward to. The fact that it was in the dungeons was not making this any easier. However the class was called harvesting so how bad could it be? With that thought Oichi slowly walked toward the door to the classroom. The first thing she saw was this frog like creature with a.fish head attatched to it. "Ewweee!!!", Oichi said aloud. She could not really help it. That was an aweful thing to whitness. She continued to walk toward the seats and saw the professor, she had a look that was really starting to scare Oichi even more but it did explain the icky thing on her desk, "Ga ga good morning professor', Oichi said sounding a bit frightened and the scampered to a seat and started unpacking her supplies trying to rid her mind of how creepy the potions classroom is.

Asher was ready for the first potions lesson of the term. Although potions wasn't his best subject it was by far his favorite. And with Professor Lafay teaching it made it even better. He never understood why people didn't like her too much let alone were scared or terrified of her. He had her for two terms and she was his head of house. And not once did she scare him or did he dislike her.

He talked into the classroom smiling happily. He nodded to the Professor "Good day Professor"

He walked toward the middle of the class but when to the back. Yes he could be the good guy that was cool enough to sit in the back of the room and learn.

Laura looked at the Evil Dragon Lady. "HI Professor." Laura smiled, she didn't really want to be there but well she knew that she had to learn and so she was there, though if the Professor was mean to her she might just have to set off a portable swamp or something like that for a bit of fun.

Penelope already didn't really like this class. Mostly because she didn't care much for having all the way down here in the dungeons. Really, why did it have to be down there? Why was there even a floor below the kitchen at all? The kitchen floor was all they really needed, why have this below it?

But now that she had entered the classroom, she couldn't help staring at the things on the tables. What were they? They were kinda cool, but kinda weird. She past a few of the tables, eyeing the thing on each to see if they were all the same or not, and eventually found herself in the back of the room. Hm. They all seemed to be pretty much the same, so it didn't seem like it'd matter where she sat. So she chose a seat at random, not paying attention to who the other person at the table was until she was seated and glanced over at him.

Oh, it was the boy she'd met at the fountain. What was his name again? Well, hopefully he didn't mind her sitting with him.

"Hi," she said, setting her bag down beside her feet.
