She moved her eyes away from the book she was reading. She was not in the mood to study or even read. She just wanted to hang around.

Looking around, Beatrice got the hint that she was the only one who was occupying a study table. All other students were busy looking at the Book shelves and a few others were near the Stained Glass Window.

With a yawn, she placed both of her arms on the table and rested her head on it.

"Will the librarian scold me for sitting like this?" She asked herself.

Aurora had finally braved the library... eww... so many words. She had her bag on one shoulder and a slim book slipped under one arm, a transparent blue sheet tucked inside it. Right. Studying.

...

She had no idea why she had decided the library was a good idea and was about to leave when she noticed...

"Beezus? You alright?" Because really, who came to the library to sleep?

She had fallen asleep alright. And right when she was about to drift to Dreamland, someone called her name.

Bad timing.

"What do you need?!" She asked immediately without even lifting her head. And then it struck her, maybe it was the Librarian! For a second she hesitated but finally decided to face her slumber intruder.

It was Aurora.

She covered her mouth as she yawned and looked at the she-snake blankly. "I'm fine. What's up?" Beezus asked in a somewhat frustrated tone. Her dreamland had fallen to crumbles!

Aurora blinked in surprise as Beezus replied. "Nothing... I was just..." And then she looked up. "I just wondered if you were okay... people don't usually sleep in libraries." she said, sitting down in one of the seats and plonking the book on the table in front of her. "Did you come to study?" Because she could totally understand wanting to sleep instead of revise...

Well, she wasn't in such a good mood right now. "Hmpf..." She mumbled as she listened to Aurora talking. She was wondering if Beezus was okay? Really? She was concerned? Come to think of it, the she-snake has been friendly with her since term started. Not like last term which was the exact opposite.

"I know..but they won't kill me if I sleep here right?" Beezus inquired.

Study? Study.. Study! "Ohoho..Noo. I was just reading a book," she replied as she held up the book that she was reading just a while ago. "And you?"

Aurora wasn't quite sure why she was being nice all of a sudden... Maybe the pressure of her music exam was draining away all the anger and meanness, or maybe she was actually becoming a better person. Ha.

"Well... They might throw you out... You know, for other people to use th study tables." said Aurora. Though actually killing her was unlikely.

Reading? For leisure?! Seriously... Why did people do that? Well, she was a ravenclaw. "Music exam. Gotta revise." she said, holding up her copy of Magical Music Theory; Grade Eight. "I don't read unless I have to."

Beezus raised a brow at Aurora. Throw her out? "I don't think so Rora," Or was she allowed to call the Slytherin girl that? "But you know, I think we're the only ones using the study tables as of the moment." It was true, all the study tables were deserted. DE.SER.TED.

She stared though when the girl said something about music exam. Hey wait! Aurora was fond of music? Hoho, now that was a discovery. "Really? I didn't know that. So, you errr--play some instruments?" She didn't know any so maybe she could teach her.

Aurora raise dan eyebrow right back at the girl. "Don't be so sure. I lost points for waiting for the sun to go down." she said, frowning slightly. Yes, there were the only ones using the study tables, and Aurora wanted to study... But a little bit of talking - quietly - would be alright... Right? She opened the book to about half way through.

"Yep, violin, piano and flute." she said, her brow furrowing at a mention irregular cadences or something like that. Urgh, reading. If she had someone to read stuff to her it would be way easier but nobody was going to follow her round all day. "And I have my grade eight theory and violin in December. Do you play anything?" she asked as she scribbled down a quick melody on a stave on her parchment.

Lost points for waiting the sun to go down? That was just a bit exaggerated.. "Oh? Like when you talk with someone inside the Observatory without gazing at the stars?" Beatrice asked, giving the Slytherin girl a teasing grin. She heard all about that event in the Observatory where the Head Boy and her had lost points just because Professor Scabior saw them conversing and not peeking at the telescope.

Whoa. She didn't know the girl could play those instruments. But then again, they have just been civilized to each other for a short time. "That's so cool..I've always wanted to learn how to play the piano." Because her mother did so. Then..she was asked if she played anything. Well, she did. But she was never good at it. "Err--I can strum the guitar and hit the drums?" Half-said, half-asked. As they were talking though, she realized that Aurora was in fact at the library to the study and she was distracting her.. "Errr--Rora, should I stop talking to you now? I mean..you still have to study, don't you?"

Aurora looked at Beezus in disdain... the second year was being cheeky about it? Well wasn't that nice. "Actually, there was about ten minutes to nightfall, I'd bumped into Treyen, I was actually staring at the star charts and he had his Astronomy book with him." she said, flicking another page of her theory book over in a rather irritated manner.

Hehehe, cool? "D'you think so? I've been playing violin since I was four." she said, shrugging. "It's kinda the thing you do in my family." But it was nice to know someone thought it was cool. Hmm, so she didn't really play anything? "At least you try, someone people have never touched an instrument." And that was just silly. Everyone should at least try and play music at some point in their life... Was she distracting her..? "No, I mean, well yes. But I hate it when it's too quiet." And the library was pretty deserted. "I think... as long as we talk quietly and don't distract anyone else it'd be good to have company." she said, folding the corner of her page and circling a particularly difficult part.

As she was kind of enjoying the prospect of being caught red handed by a Professor and losing points just because of something totally normal, she noticed that Aurora somehow found her comment irritating so she tried to act casually about it to the point that she leaned forward and placed her arm on the girl's shoulder and grinned, "Don't worry..You'll be sure to earn that lost points back." Was she fraternizing with a student from another house?

"'Tis cool." she said as she finally removed her arm from the fourth year's shoulder. It really was. The She-snake was right in saying that at least a person should be able to play even one instrument even if it weren't up to a professionals level. And it inspired her to get back on playing the guitar, she was never good at it but the sound the guitar strings produced always calmed her. Then..she was and she was not distracting her? Which one's true? "Silence is good..At certain times." Especially when you've nothing better to do and you just want to emote on your own. "Hehe.." She chuckled childishly. "So errr--what should we talk about Rora?"

Aurora raised an eyebrow as the girl put her arm around her... What in Merlin's name was she doing? They weren't friends... Just... acquaintances. Right? "I know I will. I'm just rather annoyed that he took them in the first place." she said. And Kennedy wouldn't be happy about it... he'd been a prefect for less than a month and his girlfriend had already lost points... she felt like she had let him down.

Aurora straightened the collar of her robes as Beezus took her arm away. If she did that again Aurora was going to have to curse her. "Well, thanks." she said. Who was she to disagree with someone who thought it was cool, huh? Though if she really thought it was cool maybe she should try studying for a grade eight exam. This stuff was difficult! Frugal form? Really? Who cared!? "I'm a musician, silence disagrees with me." she said, grinning slightly - she was totally unable to concentrate in silence. Except in potions - she liked to listen to the bubble of the cauldrons and the crackling of the fire... "I don't know..." she said, frowning again. Seriously, writing music in binary form..? This was going to be on her exam? She was probably blowing it all out of proportion - she had done all this before now. "if you don't do music, what do you do for fun?" she asked, yawning slightly. She was always interested in other people's hobbies for some reason - it kind of gave her an insight into the person and she liked that.

For some reason, she felt like Aurora didn't like being touched for she raised an eyebrow at her. But no matter, she didn't care if the girl didn't liked it..she just wanted to do it. "We all do," she replied, referring to being annoyed when Professors take points for no apparent reason which Scabior seems to enjoy doing.

She just slumped back on her seat and smiled. Aurora was studying so she didn't have the privilege to chi-chat more than what was necessary. That's why she just fumbled with the book she was reading before the Slytherin came, she was not reading, just merely looking at the letters. Oh? Silence disagrees with musicians? Didn't they need silence in order to understand music better? Hmm..whatever the answer was, she didn't have the right to contradict. She was not a musician and Aurora was so maybe what she said was right.

Frowning? Is it that difficult? She asked in her mind as she saw the fourth year she-snake frowning while reading from the book she was holding which Beezus didn't have any idea what all about was. "Errr--aside from studying," Well..it wasn't fun, "I eat ice cream.." That was pretty much her best hobby so far. And it was fun, fun, fun!

"Understandable." Aurora said, "Though you shouldn't be worrying about points, it's obvious Slytherin is going to win again." she teased, grinning mischievously. Sure, she was provoking Beezus a little bit, but she fully believed that Slytherin were going to win - she had yet to see any evidence to the contrary. And, considering how far behind they were at the beginning of last term compared with how much they had won by they should have it easy!

Right, so the composition parts didn't seem too bad - she had had practice in that. it was the definition of terms that she was struggling with. she knew what they all were, she just found it difficult to explain them. that would probably be the focus of all her lessons up until the exam... yay. Though to be fair, Dr M was a really good tutor... she'd probably do well.

Ice cream..? Was that a hobby..? Not really, but if it was something she enjoyed then it might as well be... "Ice cream? Maybe you should be a Hufflepuff." Aurora said grinning. "Common room on the kitchen level, close to ice cream at all times."

Haha. Slytherin was going to win this term. Well..that was not on her book at the current moment. She'd try to make this the Ravenclaw term. "Oh, don't be so sure Rora.. You don't have the Snake Trio anymore," because well..the three mostly obtained high points last term. However, there was still Sierra Greingoth, the second highest point earner next to Kurumi. Sigh. Duh, Whoever may be at the Snakes side, it won't matter if only many would be willing to overturn their reign as the House Cup, Quidditch and Gobstones champion.

Personally, she didn't have anything against the Slytherin house aside from the fact that almost all of them had attitude. Almost, yes. And she won't ever deny that.

Aurora was clearly teasing her. She should have been in Hufflepuff for merely having eating ice cream as a hobby? Beezus inflated her cheeks as she narrowly stared at the Slytherin, she snorted jokingly and crossed her arms. "Don't you like ice cream too?" Everybody loved that treat! "By the way, the new Prefect is your boyfriend right?" she asked.

"Sure, they left, but we got new firsties too. And I'm planning on winning a lot more points than last year." Mainly by actually paying attention for once... her mother had been appalled at her finals grades and she wasn't going to go through that again. "And we got Kimalia as a captain now, so you don't stand a chance in Quidditch."

Aurora grinned as she underlined something in her book. "I love ice cream, just not enough to call it a hobby." she said, chuckling slightly. To be honest, ice cream had nothing on jelly babies or apple pie... though jelly baby ice cream and apple pie WITH ice cream... mmm. Ice cream was more a tool of improving dessert in her opinion. Aurora glanced up at the next question, "Yes... he is. Why?" she said, tucking a stray red curl back into place behind her ear.

Well..it depends if those first years knew their way around and was confident enough. Because mostly..first years and she's thinking this way because that was what she felt last term, they are somehow still inferior to all the other seniors and this sometimes hinders them from participating in class. But then again, it all comes down one again to 'it depends'. "Kimalia? She's your captain now?" Beezus inquired. Of course she knew the girl. "But..how about Lola?" From her knowledge, the girl hasn't graduated yet and it was also a talk that she would be the one taking over as the new captain.

Oh. Not really an ice cream enthusiast. No need to stress more on the topic. "Mhhmm.." she nodded and placed her arms wide on the table. She was feeling a bit restless from just sitting. Just then..Aurora yet confirmed that the new Slytherin Male Prefect was indeed her boyfriend. Beezus then bit her lower lip absent mindedly as the girl ask her why. "Well..nothing really..I just..kinda thought that you and Mordred would end up together." Did she just said that?

Aurora nodded, "Yep." she said, pushing her hair back as she jotted down a few notes in the margin of her book. Hopefully this bit would stick in her brain... it was apparently vital. Pfft. "I don't know about Lola, I hardly know her and Kimalia's been pretty busy so I haven' had the chance to talk to her properly." Which was a shame, because Kennedy was busy with prefect stuff and Mordred was nowhere to be seen. So her boyfriend and her two best mates were never around...

WHAT? Aurora started laughing, "Really?" she said, trying not to laugh so loud that they got kicked out. "Mordred is just a friend." she added, still giggling. And he was sooooo not her type. Oh wow... that had made her day! She was still smiling slightly.

"Oh." Beezus rested her chin on the table. Personally, based form last term's games, Lola was a better flyer than Kimalia. Well..that was her observation. Kimalia usually had a bit problems when taking a curve. But then again, she wasn't part of the Slytherin team so maybe Kimalia had a strong sense of leadership than Lola that's why she was chosen as the new captain.

Just as she was getting a bit serious about things...Aurora was laughing, laughing hard. "Oi..Shh!" She covered her mouth with her index finger, gesturing the girl to keep silent. "Yeah..well. Was it that funny?" she asked, pouting. Really? Was the prospect truly laughable? Beezus didn't thought so. Mordred and Aurora had always been just so..close.

Aurora was still smiling to herself, "Don't 'shh' me, you're the one who started it." she whispered. "It's just, you're not the first person to say that." she said, "But I honestly see him as a brother, and he gets uncomfortable if someone so much as hugs him, I can't imagine him having a girlfriend." Though it would be nice if he did, then again, she already saw very little of him, imagine what it would be like if he had a girlfriend...

She too smiled at Aurora. Why was she whispering all of a sudden? Maybe it was funny, maybe it wasn't. Either way, it was still a good topic. Yeah, great. They were back to talking about the orange footed Slytherin. "Many have told you right?" Well..because they were just too close. Much like Ellie and Max.

Oh? The dufus gets uncomfortable when someone hugs him? Then why in Merlin's underpants did he carry her all the way from the Fourth Floor to the Seventh Floor corridor last term? As her face scrunched into a frown because of the confusion, she said plain.. "Oh? Is that so?"

Aurora shook her head, "Not many..." she said, "Only about three." Maybe four... five if you included her sister. She was aware that people assumed they had to be dating, it annoyed her. So she got on better with boys, why should being close friends with a boy mean they were dating?

"So it seems... why?" Aurora asked, grinning, "Jealous?"

"Rora..more than one is many.." She replied. Many thought as she did eh? That was not questionable. She really did thought that two were together from the very first time they met. There just seemed to be an air of extreme closeness.

Jealous? HER? Frowning more, she turned to the girl. "Jealous? Who? Me?Why would I be jealous" Well..clearly the she-snake was referring since they were the only ones talking. "When I already had the chance to hug him," she added in a whisper as she turned away.

"No... many is lots, more than one is a few." she said. Yes, pedantic, but it was... One, a couple, a few ... then at about ten it was many. Right? Maybe.

Aurora blinked in surprise... "Merlin's Pants! You really do have a thing for Mordred, don't you!?" she said, her eyes twinkling mischievously. "Wow, who'd've thought it..." Aurora marked the page in her book and closed it, scribbling things down onto her parchment from memory.
