Kacie jumped down when her mother told her to, still smiling about how she had called her brother out. It only took a couple of seconds before Gideon was standing over her glaring down at her, but it didn't bother her much. "You should have waited for us instead of wondering off and I wouldn't have had to call you," she said, before turning her attention to Selina who appeared beside him. Kacie smiled politely at her brothers girlfriend. "Hey! I had a feeling Gideon had gone off to be with you."

She turned back to Gideon. "You have to help me with my trunk," she said a little impatiently because she saw that everyone was boarding now. "Hurry! Hurry! Hurry!" She said, rushing him, before turning back to her mother and moved to give her a hug. "I'm going to miss you and I'll try not to mess with Gideon to much. I'll write you about everything."

After watching Vanilla try - and fail miserably - to roll onto her back without losing her balance, Lewis smiled to himself while reaching out to scoop her up for a moment. After years of practice he was even able to do that and make it look like she wasn't all that heavy. She had sort of become his way of working out.

Placing her on all fours onto his suitcase again, hoping she would stay that way at least for now, Lewis looked back up at Kurumi sharply at her comment. "Shaved?!" He echoed, his eyes briefly flickering back to his cat which was trying to rub its head against Kurumi's arm, purring loudly. "What did he do?" Lewis wasn't quite sure if he thought this piece of information to be funny or a little scary. What if somebody shaved Vanilla too?!

"That's great!" He wasn't quite able to keep the excitement he felt when she told him they were in the same year off his face. Yes, he already knew somebody who he was going to have some classes with! She could hardly believe what...? Opening his mouth to ask her to clarify, Lewis was however interrupted by a boy approaching them.



Lewis kept his distance from the boy and simply spent his time stroking Vanilla who had been a little taken aback when Kurumi's attention was diverted from her. He was pretty sure she was going to spend some time looking for the Gryffindor Prefect this term.

Smiling to himself when the boy - Keefer? - started rambling about Quidditch and the school Quidditch tournament and how they were going to beat Slytherin this term. He had never actually played Quidditch himself but he knew people who could talk on and on about the sport just like this boy. Well, one person actually.

Lewis turned his head along with Kurumi upon hearing a the toot of the train's engine, indicating that it was probably time to board. Watching the boy's back as he left, Lewis turned back to Kurumi with a smile. Did she have somewhere to be now? He pushed his trolley into the direction of the train a little to see if she was going to come along or not. Hopefully she would.

Alex gathered her things and headed toward the train. This was going to be an adventure. She looked around at all of the other students saying their goodbyes. She was feeling rather alone, but hoping that things would be OK. "Well, here goes.....

Maxwell smiled. He was always proud to show off his pet. "This is Helios!" Maxwell said gesturing to the large bird about the size of a Peacock with a rather large cage. the birds feathers ranging anywhere from red to yellow and warm to the touch. "He's brave and loyal and extremely over protective, He's also a great listener and probably my best friend. Maxwell spoke with the bird very often and most time Helios would make noises back almost as if the two were carrying a conversation, Maxwell spent most of the summer speaking to Helios about Josephine mainly because he was too embarrassed to speak with anyone else on the matter.

It was officially decided she liked this guy, not in the romantic sense or anything but the guy just said the right things at least...in this conversation he did. Val couldn't help but wonder if he would remain as charming and nice later on into the year. Hmm. Oh well, she could worry about that later. She laughed a fair bit as she picked herself up from her little bow, "Well, talking is my talent."Her father had always said that. He also always said she talked too much when she wanted to but Valentina chose to ignore that bit. Heh. She herself could say she had a fair bit of charisma, her own little gift perhaps. Her mother must have been a pretty lady? Oh goodness, this kid was really fun to talk to. "Well, I can't disagree."Especially since she herself looked like her mother."Anyone ever told you that you're too friendly? Seriously buddy, it's kind of worrying."Cause you know, people had bad traits. There was defiantly not a perfect person in existence, nor was there ever one or will there be. She wasn't going to complain about Paulie though, he just seemed like such a nice guy.

Just English with a bit of German in the back? Meh. Nothing too fascinating. "Well,"She shrugged her shoulders,"I'm sure you aren't the only one around here with a....not very exotic heritage?"Though she had met a lot of kids that DID have some crazy roots. So strange. Nothing beat Italian roots though!

HEH. A smug little grin spread out now, before her head did a little bob. "I'm just good at that! I'm good at starting a conversation but people can be so rude, you know? Be all rude and make mean remarks just when you say hi to them! People can be like that, Paulie! I'm not stupid!"The longer she went into her ramble, the more it appeared she was whining and the more worried she actually seemed. Gently though, she nudged him at her last two sentences. "I mean, you can't say when you first came here that you weren't nervous, am I correct?"Her brow rose. She knew she was correct. Everyone was nervous when they started something new. It was just how people were. Bond Girls were cool, which meant he had pretty much called her cool which lead to Valentina radiating a fair bit. "Bond Girl? So is that my new nick name then?"She'd take it with no complaints though because Bond Girls were cool.

She felt bad because she had not given him a nick name. Meh. She'd think of one later, Valentina sometimes lacked in the creative department.

"Makes sense. Paul does sort of sound like an old man name..."She spoke without even really thinking before holding her hand up, "No offense. I prefer you as a Paulie anyway. Suits you better."

Gideon was about to comment at his sister's words but he kept quiet not wanting to stir anything up. That and there was a sudden rush which even without turning around to face the train again signalled that they had started to let students board. "Well okay then...come on slow poke," he said teasing her seeing as she had been slow to get to the platform in the first place.

Slipping his knapsack and guitar over his shoulder after taking the latter from his cart, he moved to help lift her trunk up. Gideon carried as far as one of the open doors and lifting it up expecting her to take it the rest of the way once inside. He then looked back for Selina only to find her gone once more. "Good bye then Mom," he said hesitating before giving her a quick hug when he thought no one was looking and once they separated, he took his own trunk and headed on board.

Celeste returned the hug, giving her daughter an extra squeeze before she let her go. Oh she was so gonna miss the energetic girl in the house over the school year. But she had known it was going to happen eventually and it wasn't like she could hold her back in any way shape or form. "You will be missed too and you better on both counts," she said with a soft chuckle.

The astronomer was somewhat taken off guard when Gideon took his own chance at a hug not that she'd say no to it. "Take good care of your sister," she said with a wave as he disappeared into the train.

Talking was her talent indeed. Hey-WHAA? Was she finding fault in him already?! Paulie hadn't expected that until perhaps their second encounter at least; then again, she had no qualms about being blunt, did she? He grinned at her comment about his being too friendly, though. "Well, at least it's an improvement from last year! You shoulda seen me at the start of the term then - introverted and barely consistently talked to anyone but two people." Mmhmmm. He liked to think he came a long way.

He shrugged again. "Guess so. Otherwise that'd kinda defeat the basis of being exotic, right?" He preferred it that way, though, 'cause being would exotic would just draw attention to him. "I bet your mum cooks real good, doesn't she? Being Italian and all.." Italiannn. How could one ever go wrong with Italian food? And not only did Italian people have cool names, but the food did too! Rigatoni. Ziti. Fettuccine.

Uhhh.... whoa. She suddenly started spewing out a LOT of words at a quicker pace than he was ready for, so he kinda only caught about every third word. She did call him Paulie, though. "Yeah, yeah. Of course, I mean, I still get nervous around new people. I guess you're an exception, though, 'cause you have that way with talking." Heh. Anyway, back to the 'Bond Girl' thing. "Yepper. That's yours. I give everyone a nickname," he added with a light nod. In fact, he couldn't think of anyone he'd met from Hogwarts whom he hadn't given a nickname.

He laughed. An 'old man name'? "Well, then I'm all the more happy I go by Paulie."

Kurumi waved as Keefer made his way to the train. She would be seeing him soon enough.

Kurumi giggled. "I'll tell you about it on the train," she nodded. She didn't plan on spending all her time in the prefect's compartment anyway. She rather enjoyed walking around and talking with other students.

"Well, we better get on board before it leaves without us!" Leading the way, Kurumi boarded the Hogwarts Express, ready for another year.

Paulie had made it seem like she had something horrid about him! It made Valentina feel slightly sad on the inside, not a lot but only slightly! "I never said it was a bad thing, Paulie!"Which he needed to understand! She was handing out a COMPLIMENT to him and he didn't see it! He needed to realize what a gift it was to be given a compliment by her after all they were rare! "Being friendly is a GOOD thing, I often wish I could be a million times more friendly!"She chimed before leaning forward and resting a hand on his shoulder to make her point. He was probably going to question her little bout about she herself not being friendly because, well she had been extra civil in this conversation. He hadn't said anything to make her tick though, that was her excuse for her civil behavior! Wait, WOAH?! Improvement? "TWO people? How'd you SURVIVE?"She was probably being loud and over dramatic but Valentina really didn't care. She was shocked."So you were shy then, hmm?"How sad. Such a pretty face should't be shy.

She nodded before shrugging. "Well, yeah...."He was right and she couldn't argue and MEH she hated this feeling. Her mother cooked really good food? It always seemed like this had been brought up, the whole food ordeal. "She's okay, I guess...I mean, no gourmet cook but yeah, she's alright I suppose..."She didn't cook too much. The Kelly family resorted to eating out more than anything. Sometimes her mother cooked though, rarely.

"Sorry,"she covered her mouth before giggling. That was one of her faults talking to quickly and going off into a giant ramble. It happened when she got into a conversation which was a good thing. Heh! "Habit to talk really quick, can't help it but i'm SORRY!"She made a pout before smiling at the last word. Manners. She had to have manners. He got nervous around new people? Awh. "That's horrid, I'm sorry."Val was so glad she herself never had to suffer with that problem. HEH. so glad and thankful! She was an exception though and all the feelings and thoughts of being sorry for him went out the window."Oooh! YAY! I'm glad, I feel special now!"Extremely glad actually! She loved feeling special. Everyone got a nick name? "Well then you must be good at giving them then, I lack to creativity or the drive to actually want to think up names for people!"She rambled on again. Sometimes people got them though, only once in a blue moon when Val actually felt creative.

"I'm more than happy to call you Paulie!"BEAM.

Oh, a professor... A PROFESSOR?! Crikey! He didn't do anything wrong, did he?

"N- Nice to meet you too, ma'am," said Hades as he bowed ninety degrees. The country he had stayed in for the longest period of time was Japan, so that should explain his bowing habit.
