"Hmmm..Sweet potatoes?" She inquired as she held up a piece of what looked like sweet potatoes. Hehe. Hence, the questioning but since it seemed like no one was around to answer her inquiry, Beatrice decided to just take some and placed it on her plate.

She also poured a small amount of Pumpkin Juice from the pitcher unto her glass as she picked out some fried chicken.

Seems like nobody's up yet, she thought as she looked around.

Laura walked into the great hall. She was feeling really very hungry. As she looked around, she found that nobody was up other than her and another girl. hey, this was the girl whom she had met at the feast. She took a seat near her and said 'Hi Beezus...guess we are the only people here'. She needed something to start a conversion with this girl.

She poured some pumpkin juice into her glass and took a sip of it.

It was such a lovely meal.. Sweet potatoes, chicken and a cup of Pumpkin Juice, this was what she missed while she was away from Hogwarts.

Feeling almost full, she heard someone mention her name. And when she turned around, she saw a girl.. Hmmm, where have I seen this girl? Oh, yeah! the Start of the Term Feast.. What's her name again? Beezus thought hard to remember before she replied to what the girl had said. "Yeah, that's true Laura.." It was Laura right?

Ameliah arrived at dinner, wondering who else could be here... she sat at the end of the table and immediately reached for the fried chicken. As she glanced around the room for familiar people, she noticed two girls talking at another part of the table.
"Hi, I'm Ameliah," she began, too shy at the moment to crack one of her famous clever jokes. "Could I sit with you guys? It's so lonely up at the end, I'd sit with a troll if it was company." She started smiling a little, trying to make a good impression.

Laura smiled..'Well..registered your name for the tryouts?,' she asked



Laura smiled at her..'Of course!!though we are not trolls!,' she joked..

"Of course!" Beezus answered immediately. She would very much like to be on the House Team again and if ever she would be accepted once more, she'll surely do her best to help the entire team.

'Make sure you win the cup for us..I'm sure you guys can do it!!!,' Laura said.

'It's not often that I see you blushing.' Or was she red with fury? Hmmm. Probably better not to exaggerate on that, if Ari had a silly middle name she would probably keep it a secret as well.

The Hufflepuff thing was too cute for words. 'So, after 2 whole years at Hogwarts, you know two badgers, Jory and someone only maybe named Janice.' Ari summed it all up, of course giggling in the process.

'Of course you won't screw it up. You rarely do. You're one of the best students in our year.' Ari pointed out, honestly a bit jealous of Gwen who somehow always managed to earn more housepoints than her. 'Ravenclaw for a reason'. she added.

'My mum sends love, by the way. I got a letter from her already. How is your family?' Ari asked, remembering the fun she had with the Greenes during the summer.

'I don't know. It's pretty exciting really, I've never named an elf before, that's for sure.' the Gryffindor laughed, certain that Gwen would come up with a funny name in no time at all.

It's not often that I see you blushing?, the third year repeated in her head. ‘Err… thank you?’ I guess. Really now- what was I supposed to say?, she asked herself and looked a bit puzled at Ari. Moving on!

‘If you wish to say it like that…’ There was no other way of saying it. ‘But, you see- some of them are annoyingly kind. And others are simply stup…’, Gwen tried to find an excuse for not having any Hufflepuff friends; but suddenly stpped. Let’s not call them stupid. ‘… stupefying me with their remarks’ *evil grin*

While listening to her bestie talk, Gwendolyn made biiig eyes. ‘That’s so nice of you to say!!!’,she announced and gave Ari a big bear hug. ‘You know- you were the first one to convince me I was placed in Ravenclaw for a reason. Apparently a good one’ So yes- thank you, again.

‘My parents are all right. They both are quite busy with work. Dad had to go to Egypt the day after I left. But I’ll get to see the both of them for Christmas. And they already sent me some letters too’ Yea- relax, your mom isn’t the only one (too) worried. ‘Also I have an announcement to make-‘, she said ina very royal way. ‘I offically hate my mom’s owl. You see, that creature brings me the daily prophet and other stuff from mum… and it always makes noise, or bites me’ Grr. Stupid owl. She should have a meeting arranged with my cat.

Now back to the house elf story. ‘I think I’m going to add a ame on that list too, but I’m not sure- what kind of a name does it want? A house elf’s name or a wizard’s name?... As in- a normal one? So nothing like Pinky, Puffy,Fluffy, Jam?’, she said and laughed.

'You're welcome.' Ari was certain that despite the sheepish reaction, Gwen was in fact proud of herself for blushing rarely. Wasn't that some sort of strength, anyway?

'Stupefying, huh?' Ari laughed until her cheeks hurt. 'That's smooth.' she told her friend. 'And stupendously funny, if we're using fancy words beginning with stup.' the Gryffie chuckled. 'What kind of remarks?Oh, and speaking of that, where's William? Haven't seen him yet, that's odd.'


'Aww, you really deserve to be a Ravenclaw. By the way, are you trying out for the team this year as your parents suggested?' Ari wouldn't do that for all the gold in Gringotts, but Gwen was more daring. Ironically so, since Ariadne was the Gryffindor. Hmph.

'What's he doing in Egypt? Aren't you going to visit him? That's so cool!' Ari got all excited, since she loved Egypt's history. 'For a minute there you sounded like the headmaster.' Ari laughed at Gwen's way of announcement. 'Urgh, why don't you tell her to use a different owl?' Ariadne suggested. 'Or arrange a meeting with both Jinx and Pluto. That bird will never know what hit it.' Was that too mean? Nooooot.

'Well, since it is an elf...I'm guessing an elf name.' Ari mused. Wait...what? 'Jam?!?' That was...one of a kind. Hahaha.

"Oh, but it's not yet confirmed if I'll make the team," Many have signed up and the try outs would still be held soon so there was still no certainty. But if ever she won't be a part of the team anymore, she would still support them nonetheless.

Smooth- oh, I knoooow, Gwendolyn thought and smirked. ‘William?’,the third repeated and frowned. Hmm… I haven’t noticed that ‘till you mentioned he wasn’t here. ’I have no idea’ And- for your information don’t even care! ‘If he were here, he would certainly be on my nerves and I would have noticed. So there- maybe we won’t ever see him!’ Oh yey! Such good news!

Gulp- the Quidditch team. ‘I thought a lot about it, but I’m still unsure. I mean, I have practiced a lot lately, so I guess I would get on the team if I really want to. Point is- I don’t really want to’ Oh my! ‘You see- if I refuse to go, then someone else will get that position’ And yes, I mean someone dumber than me. ‘So that’s goinbg to be bad for Ravenclaw… but then again- if I do get on the team, and don’t give up..errr… if Ravenclaw looses because of me, I don’t think I could stand it’

‘And also, I’m not even counting on what my parents want…’ Wow- that came out wrong. ‘… when it comes to Quidditch, I mean’ They already told me they would support my decision. ‘What do you think I should do?’, the girl asked her bestie.

‘I don’t know’, Gwen admitted. Yup, there were several reasons stopping her to go to Egypt. One- her dad would be so busy, he wouldn’t have the time to show her around, but wouldn’t let her go exploring on her own. Two-skipping school might not be so easy. ‘I still need to talk to my parents about it. Mom is going there as well for a while…I think. But they will be for sure at home for Christmas’ But- back to Egypt for a second- ‘Umm- Ari? If I were to go to Egypt- wouldn’t you like to join me?’ Gwen knew Ari was fond of all the history stuff no one else cared of, and also- her parents wouldn’t mind at all.

Oooh, that owl- and when I’m thinking that tomorrow I’ll be getting my Daily Prophet from that creature. Grrr. ‘Pluto?’ That lazy cat?! Well, Jinx wasn’t much of a sportsmn either- but he could move. ‘What- he’s gonna scare it with his uglyness?’ That cat was really hideous….’But you know- it’s not a bad idea’ Considering the fact that I thought of it first!

Ameliah smiled and sat down.

"Oh, good. Im glad your not trolls, could you imagine eating but only smell rotten eggs and dead fish?," Ameliah laughed. " Are any of you trying out for Quidditch? I am, my friend insisted I be chaser. Quidditch is my best class, next to charms."

'That was...tame. I for one thought you'd suggest that he was eaten by the Giant Squid or something.' Ari chuckled, realizing that she wasn't the only one to grow up over the summer. 'You don't care.' she repeated. 'They say indifference is worse than hate, so it must mean you're much more mature now. Me, on the other hand...I just know I miss your banter.' It was so funny to watch Gwen and William fighting.

'Well...your house is important, but I think you should do what YOU want. Not anyone else in Ravenclaw. Not your parents. Not me.' Didn't that sound too much like a politician's answer? Maybe Ari resembled her father more than she thought. 'But hang on. I don't think I've ever seen you play. Can you show me one of these days?' the Gryffindor girl suggested.

Ari's eyes grew like saucers when Gwen casually invited her to Egypt. That, coupled with a Cheshire cat smile, made the girl look downright freaky. 'Wow! I would love that! But your parents must be sick of me already,...' she trailed off, trying to avoid intruding in all the Greenes' family moments. On the other hand, she did find Ancient Egypt fascinating.

'You can read my copy tomorrow. Better that, than a bite.' Ari offered, embarrassed that Gwen was doing much more for her than the other way around. 'Hey, Pluto's not ugly. He's just...not like other cats.' The girl's indignated reaction would've been scary if she had kept her laughter in check. No such thing happened.

‘Your way is good too’ Gwen had to admit, she wouldn’t have thought of the Giant Squid. Impressive. ‘Ooor-‘, she she began saying, ‘Maybe he got expelled’ for being annoying. Or for being an idiot. Somewhat. ‘Thank you’, Gwendolyn smirked, but still looked a bit puzzled. Mature? I’m not so sure, but if you say so…

‘I’m just glad I didn’t get in detention because of him. Oh, Merlin! I didn’t even get the chance to hang him in the Whomping Willow’, the Ravenclaw announced, actually feeling sorry she hadn’t.

Huh? ‘When did you start sounding like a politician?’ Really now, answering something so pointless that it’s not even an answer. You are just avoiding it! Gahhhh. Maybe Ari did have something from her dad. That reminds me- I need to show her the pictures… ‘Umm… Ari? Before I forget- could we meet at the-‘ let’s see… a quiet place, where she won’t be able to scream or shout- ‘study tables at the library? I really need to show you something, and I have them in my notebook’, which I obviously left in the common room.

‘Sure, I could show you sometime’, Gwen nodded. She still wasn’t playing as good as she wished, but it was an improvement. At least now she didn’t fall off her broomstick. *ehem-hem* moving on… ‘But umm- I can’t play on my own. I need at least a partner’ I guess.

Considering Ari’s facial expression, the third year knew she would have to write to her parents as soon as possible and actually ask them if she could join them. Actually- let’s not put it this way. Not asking... better said- let them know Ariadne would be coming to Egypt. ‘I’m sure they won’t mind. Nah… I don’t think so’, she said and paused. ‘Maybe just how your mom is sick of me?’ There.

‘I can always use the healing charm’, Gwendolyn affirmed, only now realizing she’d used it for at least five times in the last week. ‘But maybe your way is better, so thanks’, she smirked. Now back to you, Pluto. ‘You are right- he is not ugly… he is hideous’ Did I go too far?

Taylor walked into the great hall and went over to the ravenclaw table. She sat down and took out her herbology book. Taylor opened the book and began to study it while braiding her hair. She really need to learn her plants and their uses and characteristics.

"Hey Taylor!" Ameliah had just walked in, smiling. She sat down next to Taylor.
"What are you reading?" she inquired, leaning over to find out anyway.
"Oh, Herbology. If you need help, I'm here. Same with Charms and DADA. My best classes!" Ameliah grinned, happy to see her friend again.

"Hey, Ameliah." Taylor looked up from her book, "Yeah herbology. Thanks for the offer." She smiled sweetly, "Right now i'm just trying to refresh my memory." Taylor laughed a little, "How are you?"

"I'm pretty great," Ameliah laughed, remembering Charms. "I 'refreshed my memory' in charms and named probably all the charms, and their uses, including a few I made up myself. I can't believe no one heard me, you know how loud I whisper."

"Yeah sorry i didn't say hey back in charms but i didn't want to risk losing points. I hope you understand." She smiled shyly.

"It's fine," Ameliah said dissmissively. "We are only winning because we have the least negative points...."

Taylor nodded, "Yeah." She smiled, "So how are you classes so far?"

Ameliah smiled back. "My classes? Great. At least I'm not the only one in the room that knows the answers, like at home." she dug through her bag, and finally found what she was seeking. "History of Magic is dull, though." She took her parchement with her HoM notes written down and read it over. "Yup, all about witch burnings. I charmed my quill to take notes for me, since I'd probably fall asleep. I even made copies in case I lose them. You know how forgetful I am, besides Charms, DADA, Herbology, and Quidditch. Sometimes I forget to eat." she joked, realizing how much she had to catch up on since when they met on the train. "Are you trying out for Quidditch? I want to be a chaser."

"Yeah history is boring but i charmed myself to keep awake so i can take notes since i learnt that if you take the notes instead of just charming your quill then you can remember it more easily." She laughed, "Yeah i am." She nodded.
