~* Entrance *~
As you approach the Muggle Studies classroom, you notice that the door is closed, which is different than usual. When you reach for the door handle, a deep British accent comes from the door, "Please state your full name and your House..."
After you share your name and house, the door will swing open to the ornate classroom. As usual, Professor Cerulean has decorated the classroom using charms to match the theme of the lesson. Once you have rped yourself introducing yourself to the door wait for the door to formally announce you before you enter the room. (I will come in throughout the day and act as the announcer)
Before entering, please wait for the door to introduce you properly. Then you may walk into the room.
~* Decorations *~
The room is extravagant! The ceiling is sparkling under a tool puff. The room is divided into four sections, one for each of the houses. Each section is easy to spot because it is color coordinated to match each house. Above each section, there are Chinese Lanterns floating above the section in shades of the house's color. So the Slytherin section has shades of green lanterns floating above the round tables. Ravenclaw has shades of blue lanterns floating above the round tables. Gryffindor has shades of red lanterns floating above the round tables. And Hufflepuff has shades of yellow lanterns floating above the round tables.
SPOILER!!: The ceiling
SPOILER!!: Chinese Lanterns Floating over each section
Each section contains a number of round tables that have been decorated using the House Colors as well. The tables have a simple black table cloth. The napkins and plates color coordinate with the lanterns floating above them. The tables have already been set in a formal setting. The centerpieces are very simple and elegant. Each centerpiece has three cylinder vases of varying sizes filled with water that is dyed to match the House color. A simple candle floats in each vase.
SPOILER!!: Table Settings

~* Instructions/OOC *~
Please read the notes under the Entrance section. Once you have rped yourself introducing yourself to the door wait for the door to formally announce you before you enter the room. (I will come in throughout the day and act as the announcer) Then find a seat wherever you would like. Professor Cerulean will be here shortly. Please keep talking to a minimum and remember that she is watching at all times...
The class will officially start in about six or so hours. See you then!

Lesson Quick Links:
(These are set up to help you keep up if you come in a little late...remember not to post your charrie sneaking in late....)
Glenn shook his hand, "I'll call you Nate, but, Firestarter? How did that nickname happen?" She gave an amused smile, "My names a little short for nicknames." She'd never had nicknames when she was little, except her older brother calling her a cheeky monkey but she guessed that didn't count as one.
"Well, it happened last term," Nate reminisced, "One of my friends got into a disagreement with another boy our age that I didn't know at the time. Obviously, as first years, a lot of us took sides. There was a showdown in the courtyard, during which I cast my first Levicorpus, Full Body-Bound the girl who is now my girlfriend, and got hit by my first Flippendo. Into the specifics of that encounter, our original plan was to play a small prank on the boy, who had torn up some curtains in the dorms the night before. I, being American, had firecrackers in abundance. Those were my weapons of choice. Naturally, Headmaster Tate showed up before anyone died, and he gave out some nicknames. I eagerly kept mine."
Nate, at this point, couldn't help but laugh. "Yeah, a suit and shoes is pretty easy, especially since the Hogwarts daily uniform isn't too far off from this, anyway," he said. The shirts weren't easy, though. Every single button, from bottom to top, only to find that he had missed one on the left side, and had to start over again. It happened three times in one day once... But no, he was not about to say that out loud. Besides, he was getting better at that.
Looking up at the two girls, Nate continued to smirk. Why? He was happy. They could wonder what was actually going on in that head of his all they wanted, they may never figure out that he was really daydreaming about that last day at Pam's house with her and Jez...
Angelina joined along with the boy and said in agreement, "Yes it almost is not to far.." She looked down at the cute little white skirt she was wearing and continued, "I guess it isn't too are off for both female and male." Getting ready wasn't too easy as many girls thought, but to her if was fun she really liked girly clothing so it was all easy, its just hard picking out what to acutally wear from her somewhat wide selection.
Smiling to cover up how cirious she was when meeting people. First she would like to know their name first. It felt a little weird speaking to someone like this and they are your classmates and you wont know their name. She always thought what if you want to ask them something or talk to them, and the whole time avoiding saying anything that may involve the persons name. "By the way, I'm Angelina, second year Slytherin, and you," she asked.

"That sounds like an um- adventurous first year?" Glenn said, "My first year was spent in the library reading books and hanging out in the treehouse. Not nearly as exciting as yours I bet." Glenn was a little surprised that Nate had a girlfriend, then again, it seemed everyone her age were in relationships except for herself

"Glenn, second year Hufflepuff." Glenn smiled and smoothed the creases from her white lace dress, "It seems we're all second years then, now we just need a Gryffindor." Yes, she was referring to them all being in different houses.

Angelina smiled and giggled a little at what Glenn said, "Yes I thought the same." She thought over everyone she knew. What house they were and what year they were in, "I don't know any Gryffindors though." She used to know one(?) but he doesn't go to Hogwarts anymore.

There are a few changes between etiquette in both worlds, but either way etiquette is an important part of the Muggle world and the wizard world and not many people know etiquette in either world..." she paused and then continued, "And next time you would like to question my lesson subject please don't do it in the middle of my class...minus five points from Slytherin for your inappropriate questioning of my lesson." she said a little out of breath from her frustration at the question.
SPOILER!!: AMAZING!!!
The other students' questions made her forget about the question from the young girl, "Ya'll are absolutely correct. It is proper in both the Muggle AND Wizard World, thus being important to learn in MUGGLE STUDIES, " yes so she slid that last in for a reason, "for the men to stand up when a women leaves the table and returns to the table. It is also proper for the closest man, which is quite often the woman's date, to pull out her chair as she returns to the table." she said with a little smile.
She waited until everyone was done with their desert and then she said, "Once you are completely done with your meal, it is proper to finally place your napkin on the table. You don't want to do it before you are completely done with all of the courses..." she said taking the napkin out of her lap and placing it on her table. She waited for the students to follow suit. Once they had, she flicked her wand and slowly the plates and silverware still left on the table levitated and flew out of the room.
"Well, thank you all for coming to our fun and filling first lesson! Please feel free to stay for a little while and share some conversation with your friends. Please keep you eyes open on the board for our homework assignment that will be posted shortly..." she said with a smile and a little bow of her head.
OOC: Okey dokey, we are officially done. I'm going to leave the thread open until tomorrow so if anyone wants to catch up they can. Just put Catching Up or something like that in the Title of your thread. I'll post homework on the boards when I close the thread. Thanks everyone! I hope you really learned something even in RL!
Vlimia smiled proudly. She was correct! After finishing her last little bit of dessert, she put her napkin on the table as instructed. A few seconds afterwards, the table was whisked away. Vlim felt full and content, so... should she leave a tip or something? Hehe, not in school. She grinned at her internal joke. "Thank you for that wonderful lesson, Proffesor!" Vlim said, tempted to add 'and thanks for the meal' but didn't. She memorized the homweork, and left the large classroom. Well, that was definitely the most fun lesson she had been to so far!
I told you not to click it. I guess you just lose the game, then.
Now to introduce himself again? Okay... "I'm Nathaniel Stone," he started, this time to the Slytherin, "You can call me Nathaniel, Nate, or Firestarter." He turned a little so he was facing more towards Glenn to address her comment. "Yeah, definitely adventurous. I may as well have been named Heartbreaker, too. I've resolved not to do that anymore, though. There's too much at stake now for me to go off breaking hearts," he stated. Frankly, if he were to break Jez's heart, she very well could die from it...
"A Gryffindor? Oh, I know a Gryffindor, but I haven't seen him yet tonight. Perhaps he's over there somewhere..." he said, looking to the darker corner of the room that was farthest away from him. Really, if Nate hadn't seen Jordan by now, then the Lion was either not there, or using his Metamorphmagus powers to completely alter his appearance. That wouldn't be cool. Nate turned back to the two girls--best not to leave people hanging--and smiled. "So, what about your second terms so far? How are they going?" he asked. In his head, he was associating names with faces. Glenn was the Hufflepuff, and Angelina was the Snake. Got it.

"Hmm, is he a second year too? We could start a group with one second year from each house." Glenn smiled, "Heartbreaker?" She laughed, "I'm more like Stoneheart or something. Never had a boyfriend in my life. Pretty hard to fall for guys when you have an older brother to remind you how digusting they can be."
"The term's been great! I'm not too far behind on homework yet." She said, "We should probably get started on this homework soon," Glenn said looking up at the the board, "We should meet up in the library, we could help each over with it?"
