In the area where the portraits of outstanding former Hufflepuffs are hung on the wall, there's also a shiny golden sun replica hovering in midair. If the desire to work hard and be the best you can be isn't enough to motivate you, then perhaps this will. Flashing through various shades of yellow, the golden sun will display the names of the top five Hufflepuff point earners. When points are added, glittery black beads connect to spell out the names of those taking initiative towards helping Hufflepuff in the competition for the house cup.

Note: Your House Mod, Sarah (MeredithRodneyMckay), or myself shall be updating this weekly. Any other posts in here are subject to deletion. If you wish to express any 'good job' or 'congratulatory' messages to your fellow badgers, then feel free to use either the Private Message or Visitor Message system. Thank you <3

Give yourselves a pat on the back. In the few short weeks of the current term, we've lost quite a bit of points, but at present, we stand at third place. And not far behind from second place either. Only 61 points behind Ravenclaw, and only 65 behind Slytherin.

Continue to strive toward hard work and team LOYALTY like I know you're all capable of and believe in yourselves. Remember, there is no I in team. And NOBODY, I repeat, NOBODY knows that better than Hufflepuffs. We stand up for each other.

So without further ado, the first set of golden badgers is:

Remember though, we can't win with just these five alone. We need ALL Hufflepuffs to work together. Feeling overwhelmed? Or motivate each other by sharing what it means to YOUR Character to Be A Hufflepuff.

The power to achieve glory of something that hasn't been achieved in thirteen terms, rests in your hands. So put aside that game in Weasley's Wizard Wheezes and do something for Hufflepuff. For your housemates. For you.

Another week has come and gone, and I have to say I've never been prouder! In just a few short days, you're proven to be the hardworking Hufflepuffs I always knew you were capable of, as we slowly crept past those Green students into second.

Of course, I warn you about getting too comfortable, because those Snakes have been known to bite back, but I think it we continue to rabidly fight toward a single-minded goal, together we can achieve something that hasn't been done in - I've said it before - but THIRTEEN YEARS. We're only 108 points behind those soaring Eagles, and I know we can do it if we work together.

The golden badgers for this week has changed slightly; congratulations to you five:

Take a look at the table, Badgers, and BE PROUD. You are top and shining like a little beacon of yellow and black. We are less than 100 points clear of those Eagles, but if we all pull together then there is no reason we can't keep that lead and even extend it.

Our top five Golden Badgers have changed ever so slightly again this week, so a huge congratulations to the following:

Yes, I know I said that the next Golden Badger reporting would include both Care of Magical Creatures and Defense Participation, but based on several factors (including that Magical Creatures is still happening...), I've decided to go ahead and commend you all on the FABULOUS work you guys are putting in.

Seriously, couldn't be prouder. We've still only got a 200 point lead on the Eagles, but keep working hard and there's no reason we can't keep the lead and EXTEND it even.

So based on the Defense lesson two, we had SEVEN badgers earn 15 or more points. Congratulations to the following for earning the rank of Golden Badger this time:

The points from the second Care of Magical Creatures Lesson have been added and I just want to say first and foremost, that I couldn't be prouder of how hard you're all working!! We've jumped to now a 500 point lead in first, but the last three weeks (four?) are imperative we continue to strive to keep our lead.

There's no saying that those Eagles might try to steal the lead from us with the end-of-term assignments and I know you'd all be just as crushed as I would, if they succeeded. So keep doing what you're doing, and if you're not doing enough, then check out the Badger Notice Board with a list of currently active lessons and homework assignments!!!

And without further ado, presenting the SEVEN Badgers to earn 15 or more points from Magical Creatures Lesson Two, plus an additional FOUR badgers earned 15 or more with their points combined from DADA (the original requirement):

It is time for another Golden Badgers post, and I have to say I am so proud of all of you! Go and look at that points board and you will see that we are over 700 points in front of Ravenclaw. You've all helped to achieve that. You've all done your bit to keep the Badgers top.

But, of course, there is still time for the others to catch us. A couple of weeks left of term, and plenty of homeworks and lessons open, mean there are loads of points on offer for everyone. Lets keep on keeping on and earn some of those for ourselves, eh? The notice board is currently up to date with all you need to know.

Now, the Transfiguration homework I set you all, with a target of 10 points or more, was your aim for this week. And I am happy to say you all did very well - FIVE of you managed it! Here are this weeks Golden Badgers:

So this last Golden Badger report for Term 30 is going to encompass three lists, all rolled into one post, but before I get to that, I just want to say how VERY proud I am of EACH AND EVERY ONE of you! Your ability to work hard and express your loyalties to the house, whether it be cheering on at Quidditch Game or just helping each other out, makes me PROUD to be a Hufflepuff. You guys rock. There's no easier way to say that.

We couldn't have pulled off the inconceivable this term without all of you there helping, be it the five points you earned or several hundred. We all worked together. So give yourselves a pat on the back.

And without further ado, the first list will be from that Divination Homework Assignment, way back the beginning of March (OOC), where the challenge was to earn a minimum of 20 points. Four of you achieved this.
