On the far side of the dungeons is something that looks a little bit like a muggle bowling alley - minus all the flashing lights. Upon closer inspection you'll see that it is in fact exactly that. The lane is a short narrow one that widens when approaching the ancient pins - nine of which are arranged in a diamond shape on the alley. This isn't an ordinary game of bowling though, as there are NO bowling balls around - just a pile of shrunken heads! The closer you get to the pile of shrunken heads you can hear them jabbering nonsense and laughing. "Tis good fun!" exclaims one of the heads. "Don't be shy! Grab a head and give it a roll!" exclaims another.

'Like that! Mine name's Rose! I'm a Second Year!' Rose smiled. She didn't bother to say Gryffindor, it was obvious as her tie was red and gold...

The gryffindor girl rolled the head to a group of pin.
"Waw, let me try it!" she tried to roll the head and... just hit 6 pins.
"Oh, I was not as great as you. By the way, I am Raven Charlotte. First year, slytherin." said her to the girl.
"How can you were very expert of this game?" asked her to Rose.
Daichi literally FREAKED OUT when he saw this section of the room. He had always wanted to try bowling. Yes he knew what it was for his muggle friend asked him to come with him together with his parents to bowl. But since it was on the same day he had to take the Hogwarts Express his father refused it. BLEH.
But now he could finally bowl~ Running towards the bowling part of the room, Daichi's eyes seemed to twinkle with excitment as he saw an older boy grabbed a ball and rolled it. "That's so cool! Can i try, can i try... pleeeaase?" he asked as he walked towards, where he thought were the balls and let out a yelp of shock when the so called bowling balls were in fact...shrunken heads. Eeww!
"No you're stupid." He spat out. For the past few seconds...minutes, a shrunken head kept calling him names. And he wasn't one to stay quiet. "Shut up, you rotten, hairy ball of - " Ezra halted because right at that moment, an energetic boy decided to join him. He was twinkling and happy and excited.
"Whaoo easy there big fella." He said, smiling down at sunshine. "You scared my friend here." He slapped the shrunken head lightly before throwing it at the boy who seemed disgusted at the sight of the heads. "Oh don't be such a wuss, sunshine. Give it a go. It's just an icky and EXTREMELY gross shrunken head. It could have been worse than this." He petted the boy gentle on his head. See? Always the helper.
A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.

Daichi jumped slightly when the boy threw one of the shrunken heads in to his direction. And having been chaser in the Slytherin Quidditch team last year, his reflexes showed and he caught the head without thinking what it actually was. Only when he looked at it he yelped again and almost dropped it on the floor. Still, he decided that, since he had the head in his hand now he should hold it.
The little second year frowned when the older boy mentioned a sunshine and he looked around the room. "Sunshine? where? i don't see a sun...!" Chyeah , he was pretty clueless about that. Scratching the back of his head, Daichi jumped again when he felt a hand petting his head. "Y-Yah! not the hair!" He stuttered and tried to brush the hand off. "I spend a whole night sleeping getting this hairstyle" he said, puffing his cheeks.
He then eyed the bowling lane and decided to throw the head in his hand which had started to scream names at him too and told him he would suck at bowling "We'll see about that" he grinned at the shrunken head and......Wait..how do you throw these things? Just throw them? Okay. Like he was throwing a Quaffle through a hoop, Daichi threw the head through the air and it rolled....next to the cones. "That's not suppose to happen right?" He asked with a faint blush on his cheeks as he turned around to look at the other.

Raising her wand she flicked her wrist toward the Slytherin common rooms and called, "Accio Tori's Dragonhide gloves."
"Oh, right." Tori blushed a little because she hadn't thought of that. But sure, peer tutoring sounded helpful! "That sounds great, thanks," she said with a sigh of relief. "I don't really want to go to Professor Schirmer for help with what seems like a simple little spell..." Naw, she wanted to impress the pretty professor on her own.
The gloves came floating into view about a minute after Lexi had summoned them, coming to a stop right by Tori's head. "Thanks, Lexi!" the ginger giggled, slipping on her gloves.
Now, to try the bowling.... Tori approached the lane nervously, trying to ignore the catcalls and unhelpful advice from all the heads. She picked up one with particularly rotten teeth by the hair and swung him around til he was nice and dizzy. Hehe. See, she wouldn't get bitten this way.
Then Tori wound her arm around a few times and let the shrunken head fly allllll the way down the lane. Strike, strike strike!

"Oh yeah..." he can summon his stuff cant he? "But I gotta concentrate more to get them to come to me. Thats a lot more work than just picking up one of them heads and letting them roll." Yes he was whining. But only in front of Lexi, who was already giving him that look that he better not try to pull something since she was watching him like a hawk.
With a lazy huff he raised his wand and summoned his gloves, concentrating and visualizing in his minds eye which was now second nature when using this spell. A few seconds later a pair of his dragon hide gloves for COMC class floated lazily into view. He could hear Lexi and Tori saying something about needing work on the summoning charm for her gloves "You girls can use mine. Or we can duplicate it or something."
He was about to ask India if she was comfortable with Wingardium Leviosa when a ghost he didnt know suddenly popped up. He neared the ghost just as everyone else did and watched him pull his own head off and rolled it down the alley. He pulled Lexi closer and whispered to her ear "See look at that. Its way more enjoyable if you use your hands." he smirked.
And he did a double take at a familiar Puff he hasnt seen in a while "Em...Emmaleigh? Hey!" he greeted the young girl then jerked his head at the direction of the shrunken heads "Go try it out, if you dont mind grabbing a handful of hair and watching out for the teeth" he chuckled
Emmaleigh was still looking at the little bowling alley when she heard someone call out to her. Turning to see who it was, a grin came to her face when she realized it was Salander. "Hey!" she said excitedly as she headed over to him and gave him a quick hug. "I haven't seen you in ages, What have you been up to?" Noticing the other girls standing around Em gave them a smile. "Hey Tori, and um, Lexi right?" she sad asking the older girl. She was pretty sure that was her name. Em watched as Tori stepped up to the lane and thew a head. "Do those heads really bite?"she asked.
"Oh, right." Tori blushed a little because she hadn't thought of that. But sure, peer tutoring sounded helpful! "That sounds great, thanks," she said with a sigh of relief. Lexi pretended not to see the blush the little Slytherin gave. She understood all too well about not being the best at casting. It had taken her nearly a year to get nonverbals under her belt.
"No worries! Just let me know when you're ready and I will be more than happy to lend a hand," she promised. Mhm.

...
Lexi pursed her lips and snorted slightly. That CHILD had just HUGGED Lexi Kennedy's BOYFRIEND. In front of her no less. HMPH. Lexi felt like her head might explode at any moment. She scooted herself closer to Salander and flipped her hair over her shoulder haughtily.
And the HUFFLEPUFF knew her name HOW exactly? HMPH FOR LIFE. Lexi simply nodded and eyed the girl slightly. She was not speaking to her if she didn't have to... she WAS a Puffer after all. She silently hoped the girl would grab a particularly nasty shrunken head and it would take her finger off.
"Hey Desiree!" greeted her. "Sounds unique, right? The deathday party of Nearly-Headless Nick."
Desiree was distracted from the gross bowling when she heard her name. Turning around she saw her friend, "Oh hey Raven!" she smiled. "Yep I've never been to a deathday party before." she laughed a bit.
Desiree felt something was off though, shouldn't a deathday be a sad thing "I wasn't expecting all this, It seems so happy with games and food.. doesn't a deathday just sound really depressing?" she thought out loud, but whatever, if he wanted to have a party to celebrate his death, that was fine with her. She saw a Gryffindor girl get a strike and then Raven tried it too. Maybe she should try... but no, no she was not picking up a head.
Luna went pale looking at the heads Ughh disscusting

''Hey Pres!'' she smiled ''Great thanks I don't really have time anymore i'm focusing on school work mostly this year!'' but she was glad to see Presley they hadn't spoken since the night of the feast ''Anything up with you did you meet the new first years?'' she honestly couldn't stand any of them loosing for stupid things like dressing in muggle clothes to class...
Presley nodded. "Me too. I got an E in Arithmancy last year, so I really need to pull that up." It had been her worst grade, her greatest failure. "I did meet a couple of firsties," Presley rolled her eyes. Really? Most of them seemed so stupid! Some seemed worthy of Ravenclaw, but most made stupid mistakes. Like the clothes fiasco...

Yuck.
She looked like she was having fun poking it. "So...is it real?" he asked, still wanting to make sure before he touched one.
He then heard a distinguished voice he hasn't heard at Hogwarts yet. Turning to the source his eyes went wider than before....
Nika poked it one more time and let out a last giggle. Who knew poking a shrunken head could be so fun!? It felt sort of weird."EY! Stop poking me!" Again Nika jumped back not expecting the head to talk. Hmph. This was going to take some getting used to.
The skin was dry and it felt real, but fake all at the same time. She looked back at the boy and saw the expression on his face. What a great first impression.
"Oh." She was taken aback by the question and thought about it for a few seconds. "Well... I-I think so." She smiled sheepishly as she pulled one out of the pile. "But they're really fun to poke. You wanna try?" She brought the head closer to him not really sure if he'd like it, but why would he want to miss out on all of the fun!?

CLANK! CLUNK! CLANK!
Seven of the pins fell over. "WOO HOO!" he chortled out as his body flew over to where his head lay in the gutter. "Now that's what I call bowling!"

GAH!
"AH!" Nika jumped at the sound of booming laughter. "HEADLESS GHOST!" Well that's what, the third time Nika has been freaked out today? And just to make things worse she dropped the shrunken head in the process who in turn let out a yell. "OI!" She picked it up and shrugged. "Sorry?" Well they were going to get thrown around in the bowling alley anyways? Shouldn't they be used to being dropped?
Right. Back to the Ghost. Nika was poked. "Erm.. Yeah a ghost." Silly Nika. Why did she even react like that? She'd seen two ghosts before. Nearly headless and the bloody baron. "They have a lot of those at Hogwarts." Now that she thought about it she never really saw this kid around before. "Are you new here?"

UGH! Wasn't there anything FUN to do around this bloody castle. Charles had just about given up after having walked around..pretty much the whole place. Having found nothing of interest on the floors above he made his way down to the dungeon and followed the sound of people celebrating. YES! FINALLY something fun.
Looking around he saw people using....were those small heads? OH YES! He watched what was going on and a grin came to his face. Oh this was going to be fun. So you take those heads and whirl them around and...try to knock down the pins? How AWESOME!
Rose walked up to a boy looking slightly disgruntled. 'These are real you know...' Rose grinned, putting her own shrunken head next to his.
'HALLO BOY!' The head yelled.
'Yeah, real ghosts... They're pretty cool actually! Are you a transfer, or just haven't seen a ghost...' Rose chuckled. She held her head up and bowled it down. 6 pins. She grabbed another and bowled it. 'SPARE!' Rose whooped. 'See? They don't mind!'
They were real. Oh gosh, then who cut the head off their bodies. The thought made Kennedy's stomach do a not so nice somersault. "H-Hi," he said to the head, taking a few steps back. He didn't like the head.
He looked at the girl and she seemed to be perfectly okay with everything. She must be used to this he concluded. "I-I'm a transfer." If that's what could be labeled as. "I'm Kennedy," he said, still giving the heads wary glances.

Kennedy pondered on the idea of touching the ugly looking head. What if it was contaminated with a rare virus? Well, he had a solution for that. His finger hovered over the head the girl had offered him. He wasn't about to hold it just yet. What if it bit him?
Poke.Poke.Poke.
Eh, the eyes were jiggly. Kennedy took his hand back and with his free one took out something from his pocket. Ah, now this was a life saver. He opened the top and poured some hand-sanitizer on his hands and rubbed them together. "Want some?" he asked the girl.
Be free of germs.
Kennedy looked back at where the ghost had gone. "That was my first time seeing a ghost." He wasn't all that freaked out anymore because a ghost couldn't harm him...right? Hmm. "Yeah," he said, answering her question. He was the new guy.
Sorry it took a while to respond I had to go to work :(

Lexi nodded her agreement and then... she saw an EYELASH FLUTTER at HER BOYFRIEND. HMPH. She thought the girl wasn't half bad, but if she kept THAT up Lexi would have to make sure the girl had no more eyelashes left to flutter.
Lexi flexed her wrist and prepared to summon some gloves for the girl because SAL was NOT going to do things for a lovestruck little girl. He gave them all the WRONG idea. HMPH.
Sometimes Lexi wondered if the boy even told anyone they were together.

India had never really spoken to Lexi before this - and because of that she didn't know the stance she had on not harming those who couldn't defend them selves. IN an utter bought of despair SHE couldn't help but mentally berate herself for not thinking of it the way Lexi had brought up.
"I have to say - I feel wretched for not seeing it that way...I usually don't do anything that can harm anyone...I guess being bitten by pixies in Herbology this past week didn't really help much of anything." She admitted sheepishly she wasn't trying to make up a reason for not thinking. She was just admitting she didn't think at all.
When Sal turned to her and then quickly spoke to Lexi she honestly hadn't even noticed much. She was too distracted by Sir P.D. Podmores utter distrespect of Nic and his nearly headlessness. Sure Nic would have loved to be able to bowl with his head. Unintentionally she over heard what Sal had told Lexi of it being more fun when you use your hands.
Quickly she summoned her dragon hide gloves for potions class, and slipped them on. "I'll have to give this a try" she chirped happily. Yes she was getting over her fear (and herself). And becoming FUN!
Fun was good. Fun was always good.

'I sort of am. I played for London youth once.' Rose admitted, her British accent coming through. 'I've spent most of my life trying to cover up my accent, now I can't remember how to.' Rose chuckled, her accent still going clearly. Bit cockney. Rose seemed to like it now though.
'WOO!' Rose whooped as Roaven got a strike. 'That's what I'm talking about!' Rose high fived the girl as she went to get a ball. She stood in her stance and threw the ball down the aisle. Grinning with pride at her bowling prowess, Tori turned her smile toward Emmaleigh. "Oh hi Em," she greeted the other girl, picking up another head by the hair. She held it up to eye level, but still away from her face, and eyed the head making chomping noises with its rotten teeth.
"It sure looks like they do...." she answered, twirling her head so it would get dizzy. "That's why I'm wearing gloves, for protection." You never could be too safe at Hogwarts.

"I sure will," Tori called back to Lexi. Hopefully she'd be able to help her practice before their next Charms lesson.
Tori approached the bowling lane again and gave her head an almighty swing, letting it go flying with a great big WHOOOOOOOOOOOSH.

''Really? I was alright in Arithmancy thats why I HAD to fix it and some other classes it annoyed me... Did you go to the first Herbology lesson?'' The pixies AGHHH!
Luna laughed she knew what she meant ''Yeah i'm not to fond of them myself i'm glad some of them have common sense though but they'd rather talk all day in classes and everywhere else than study'' Stupid little firsties that was somthing everyone said and had fun saying
Presley knew full well how terrible she was in Arithmancy. After all, she'd gotten an E. That was horrible, as compared to her other O's. The only grade that wasn't a perfectly formed circle. E's had loose endings, three of them. They were ugly letters. O's were perfect. They were a closed circle, the only perfect shape. Luna did well in Arithmancy? Presley avoided narrowing her eyes. It wasn't Luna's fault that Presley was a failure. But Luna didn't need to rub it in! Presley was getting paraniod. She took a deep breath. If I'd gotten an O, I'd tell her too, even if she'd only gotten an E. It's not bragging. Calmed down, she focused on the next question. The Herbolgy lesson. At this subject, Pres brightened. She loved Herbology. Last year it had been sort of a love-hate. This year, she simply loved it. "I was there. Except with my arm," Presley indicated her cast and sling, "It was more difficult than it should have been. But Sierra helped me a little, so it was way better." Her stupid arm, that prevented her from doing anything.
When Luna laughed, Presley did too. Luna had a catching laugh. "I had a verbal spar wih one. She seemed really intelligent. But the rest? I have no idea what they think they signed up for, but obviously not Hogwarts."

Oh cool She had gotten Lexi's name correct. Although, it really wasn't that surrising that she knew the older girls name. After all, they had had many classes togeather over the last few years. Smiling brightly, she stuck out her hand for the girl to shake and said "I'm Emmaleigh." You know, just incase she didn't know.
"Wow, Good Job!" Em said, cheering the young slytherin on. Looking at the head Tori picked up. It was rather dirty looking. "Yeah, be careful with that thing. You might get so disease if it bites you." Although, she was sure the Healer, or Lafay would be able to fix her right up if it did nibble on her.

'WOO!' Rose whooped as Raven got a strike. 'That's what I'm talking about!' Rose high fived the girl as she went to get a ball. She stood in her stance and threw the ball down the aisle. Another strike. 'Woo!' Rose grinned as the head came back. 'You're pretty good, girl, you know?' the head laughed.
'I mught be...' Rose teased as she chucked it and got another strike.
"Oh, I see. I never played this before." Said Raven and giggled to Rose. Bowling was very fun! No, Raven thought she was addicted to it. She took another head and chucked it again.
Did you just lose something? The GAME? Sorry... 'Justin Bieber, he is the man!' U mad, Felton!?

"STRIKE! I really love it!"
'You've got the makings of a pretty good one too!' Rose noted. 'You know what the Room of Requirement is, right? Wait, you won't, you're a First Year. Basically, you think about what you require, walk past the wall thrice, and walk in! I could easily turn it into a bowling alley!' Rose beamed, as she picked up a head and got another strike.
"Me neither." answered Raven easily. "I think the deathday party will be.. spooky. Maybe there were everybody cried to remember the ghost when he was alive or make a sad tribute to him. Hahahahaha!" she laughed to Desiree. Raven just noticed that Desiree paid attention to the bowling.
"Wanna try the bowling? It's fun!" asked her. Then she took a silly head to roll it to bowling area.
"STRIKE!!! YES!!!" the head was hit all the pins.
"It's definitely spooky." She laughed eyeing the heads and skeleton band, and there could definitely be some tribute later, that would be nice. She gave Raven a slight smile and laughed uncertainly "Well.. I would, but I mean it's a head." she said trying to explain her hesitation.
Desiree watched as her white-haired friend got a strike "Woah Raven, you seem pretty good at this." with a sigh she gave in, she wasn't going to just stand on the sidelines. Picking up a head very slowly, she grimaced.
"Oi Hurry up!" it shouted "Ya come on we don't bite" said another "Speak for yourself" one piped up, overwhelmed by the talking she said somewhat loudly "Quiet!".. I need concentration."
She walked up a look of determination on her face, trying to make it seem like she knew what she was doing. Truth was.. she had never bowled before. She had been watching though, and it couldn't be that hard.. She gave the head a toss and it landed with a thud rolling very slowly down the lane and ending up in the gutter "Nice toss" the head shouted sarcastically. Well she tried.. "I think I'll need a little more practice" she said grinning at Raven.
