"Well," he began, looking at Kurumi intently. "You couldn't help me stop my ears changing could you?", lifting up his hair to show her his ears, which were rapidly changing shape and size. His metamorph powers had gone mad during the conversation and he couldn't stop it.

'Um.. my father was a half-blood. My mom's Muggle-born, though. But it was a kind of a shock when I realized I was magical. My dad died when I was two and he didn't tell anything about his 'abilities' to my mom.' Just the faintest hint of sorrow touched her face.

Jackie tried to smile. 'It was very long ago. I don't really remember him.' She said, before Abbie could offer her sympathy. She hated sympathizers. She was too proud to bear sympathy.

'So, how did you feel when you first heard of Hogwarts?'

Thrilled that she was in Griffindor Emma made her way over to the Griffindor House Table and sat down. She didn't see any of the other first years she had met in Madame Malkins, though everyone else seemed nice enough.
Hoping someone else would come over and sit with her - she had always been terrible at starting a conversation herself - she looked around and tried to take everything in.

Everythin seamed to good to be true, hall was huge and the ceiling was bewitched to look like the sky and everyone seemed happy.

As the feast began alarissa suddenly realized how hungry she was, she began to tuck in to the chicken wings, pork chops, lamb chops, sausages, roast potatoes, all kinds of vegetables. Suddenly she realized she had eaten to much a began to feel bloated and sleepy and was disapointed she couldnt help herself to the puddings -chocolate gateau and eclairs, custard and treacle tarts, apple pie and jelly - the all looked delicious.

Alarissa looked up and down the table, eavesdropping on peoples conversations hoping to join in - there she noticed a few seats away from her on the opposite side of the table was Rose the friendly second year from the train.

Louisa giggled, "Of course. I can handle a single Gryffindor." Giving him a smirk as she said that. And she didn't mean 'single' in the relationships terms, just so everyone around knew that. "I managed to have a friend out of every house now." She declared proudly. Although, when you think about it, some of those 'friends' weren't really...friendly. Like Lara from Slytherin who was so tempting to be argued with. Meh. Whatever.

..wait! Did that mean she had to attend every single Quidditch game throughout the term?! O__o If every team had a friend of her, she was obliged to attend and cheer and all that. Oh, shoot! "D-do you still want to try out for Gryffindor Quidditch team?" She asked trying to sound so casual. Maybe he had something against the Gryffindor quidditch team that he wouldn't try out? Hmm...? Please..? Naaah, he barely knew this school anyways he definitely would still try out. Hmph.

Rustic...? Louisa looked confused, "No. I'm pretty sure they're rusty." Taking a goblet and examining it, "Eew. They're dirty, actually." She threw the cup loudly on the table and it rolled away...somewhere. When he suggested that they made it on purpose, she laughed. "That's just... man, you can be funny Adam!" She grinned. Wha? Louisa heard a squeaking like sound from somewhere and she spotted a little house elf, talking to herself, and hitting her head with a plate. It was the first time Louisa ever saw a house elf, let alone one that was punishing herself. So they weren't on some kind of a riot as she supposed. They weren't banished either. Good to know, she didn't like the idea of her taking care of the hygiene of the castle when she had loads to study.

...why did this house elf keep punishing herself? The clean silverware were shining again before the students. When the house elf was close enough to hear, Louisa spoke to her, "Hey, hey, hey... Thank you. They're really clean and perfect now. You can stop that." She pointed at the goblet in her hand...what if she grabbed a knife next? :O Louisa wasn't going to sit around and watch her slay herself. Why didn't the headmaster stop them from punishing themselves anyway? Wasn't he the one responsible for them?

''Oh'' Abbie felt bad that she asked that but she liked to know a little about people before she called them a friend ''My real parents are dead to I was four!'' she didn't mind talking about it she didn't know her real blood statis so she stuck with muggleborn

''At first my parents thought it was a prank but then I kept getting letters and a man came and explained,'' Abbie replied ''But it was down right exciting I was so happy when I heard it was true!'' said Abbie

Jordan walked into the giant Great Hall, where it was decorated by a sky as the ceiling, which he thought was magnificent! He also spotted newly greeted teachers at the staff table along with the Headmaster Tate, whom he heard alot of rumors about. Then he spotted the wonderful, cheery, Gryffindor table!

"Hey there Ronnie! Nice to see you again! Ronnie was probably his best friend beside Will, but he never let that secret out. "So, who else will be joining us?"He thought, hopefully Will and Rose. But then he thought of the bitter taste of their relationship. How they fought like little children. So he would only, probably expect Rose, since Rose has a better friendship with Ronnie!

After getting to know some fellow Puffs, at the Badger table, Amethyst strolled gracefully over to the Gryffindor table. She wanted a diverse group of friends, and felt it necessary to introduce herself to anyone who'd welcome her. She was a bit nervous, not all Lions were nice, she knew this. One of her close friends was in Gryffindor. She first, looked to see if Jamey had gotten a warm welcome.

Sage starred at Ella for a long while before shaking her head. Silly things Muggles do...

"Well, how about we talk about something where we both can't get confused! What do you think of the Gryffindor House so far?" Sage asked looking up and down their table at the other Gryffindor students...
"Hello! Are you a first year too? Just sorted I'm guessing?" Sage asked sitting next to a fellow Gryffindor...

"Alright then."she took a goblet of pumpkin juice from her left hand side and drank a bit of it.Then she turned to Ella and asked curiously,"You are a muggleborn right? So what do your parents do?"

"Hi Abbie! I am Tiffany and you can call me Tiff if you want."Tiffany greeted this girl cheerfully."First year also? If then, come and join us here!"she grinned.


"Yea I am a first year too! Come and join us here!"Tiffany smiled as she waved at Emily.She was a little bit shocked when she noticed that Emily was looking at her in a curious way. She looked up and found out that Emily and her looked so alike. She knew what she was thinking, the same way as she did. She said sweetly,"I think we look so alike right? You are just like my sister!"she chuckled when she said that.

A first year? She knew she was short, but never had she been mistaken for a first year. Then again, she figured the kid asking was a first year, so she'd let it go. This time.

"No." Adelyn chuckled, "I'm a fifth year. Are you a first year?"

Tiffany was having a fantastic moment with her friends.Chatting and eating her favourite food. But then she saw a new girl sitting on her own, far away from the others. Smiling, she headed to this girl and said decently, trying to make her feel comfortable,"Hi I am Tiffany. What's your name?"

"Hey Anne! I'm Willow!" she replied, shaking hands with the girl. "This is pretty awesome huh! My cousins told me heaps about Hogwarts but it's nothing like I imagined!"

Jade walked over to the Gryffindor table and took a seat. So many people were here but she was disgusted with the fact that she had to sit so close to them. No, she wasn't claustrophobic, but just the fact that she had to be so near strangers was a little awkward for her. However, awkward moments were quite silly at times and she almost always brought up awkward moments in conversations. She took out her journal and muggle pen she had gotten from Scribbulus, placing them in front of her. She opened to a random page in her journal and started to draw.

Willow couldn't believe her eyes! Emma was in Gryffindor too! Running over, she fell into the seat beside her.
"Hey there! Remember me!?" she said, as she gave her a big smile. "It's so awesome! We're in the same house!! Can you believe it!"

"Wow!" Sage said relizing the girls facial features did have more of a mature look to them. Sage blushed in embarrassment, "Sorry about that! Yes, I am a first year! Just been sorted!"

Sage gave the Gryffindor her biggest smile.

Adelyn tried not to laugh at the way the little first year's face had blushed; Adelyn still did that. "It's okay. I'm short, so I usually get mistaken for someone younger."

"Welcome to Gryffindor! No matter what anyone tells you, this is the best house." She smiled brightly at the girl. "My name is Adelyn, by the way."

Kurumi's eyes widened when the younger Gryffindor lifted his hair. Her body had never done that. It was her hair that was out of control. As her father had explained it to her, Metamorphs' abilities manifested themselves differently and, for whatever reason, hers hadn't developed to the point where she could change appearance or, she was naturally in control of them. Only her hair was linked to her emotions, which she found a blessing. For her father, it had been his eye color, and sometimes his fingers.

Right, the problem at hand.

"THAT, is something I can't help with...unless you have been hit with some sort of hex. That being the case, I could try a counter spell."

She eyed him.
"Nessie, hello," Kurumi smiled, waving to the Hufflepuff girl. "Just be sure that you remember it for potions. You wouldn't want Professor Lafay to turn your cauldron over." Yeah, that had happened her first year when she didn't know about the C's of potion making.

Kurumi picked up a plate that looked like an infant's artwork...done with fuzzy and molding grey green and blue baby food and was just about to cast Tergeo and Scougify when she heard the familiar crack that she had become accustomed to when she went into the kitchens and asked for Twinkle.

Kurumi's jaw dropped when she saw one of the kitchen's house elves appear at the Gryffindor table. She thought perhaps she had seen this elf before, but they were not one of the ones she baked with. Probably had better things to do than to appease her and her cookie bug.

In the next moment, Kurumi had gasped, dropping her plate which...didn't shatter?

Looking down, and expecting it to be in bits and pieces on the floor around her, she was surprised to see that nothing was there. The house elf much have banished it just in the nick of time. In fact, the dirty dishes had been removed from the table - minus the ones that her and Gideon had already cleaned - and were now replaced with clean ones.

And wizards thought that they were above house elves when it came to magic. Sometimes, Kurumi really thought that witches and wizards had a serious superiority complex.

And then...the house elf was beating itself...AND POKING ITSELF IN THE EYE?!

Kurumi gasped again and began to flail before, things became a bit hazzy...

*THUD*

And Kurumi had mildly fainted from the shock of the elf trying to, quite literally, gouge its eye out with a fork.

Caroline was staring down at the Gryffindor's table at the nasty looking spoons, there's looked twice as bad as the one's at the slytherin table. Hehe The Gryffindors would just have to manage with dirty silverware or use Scourify a few hundred times to get it clean enough to eat with. She was tempted to make them even dirtier, until she seen Kurumi teaching a some ickle firsties lion cubs the Scourify spell. Perfect? Kurumi was the other Gryffindor perfect. She honestly wasn't surprised that girl was one smart cookie no pun intended.

What Gryffindor was taping her on the shoulder? did she even want to know? Turning her head around slowly. For Dramatical effect of course. Her jaw dropped. NO NO NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO he was suppose to be far far away from there but here he was. "ADAM BURNNNNN!!!!!" Where in the name of Merline did that come from. She sounded happy excited even to see him. Haha finally a gryffindor boy that she couldn't. Well he was like an annoying brother. "You're back!?" Like this term wasn't going to be eventful enough. Now she had to put up with Adam. Well at least if she needed a punching bag he would do the job well.

Caroline tapped her fingers on the table. Her chin resting on her other hand. Lost in her thoughts, which she was having too many of them. She thought had she done the right thing. Until she had ran into Carter on the train. And everything felt like it used to be with them she wasn't sure if by her trying the same make up tactics that he had used on her after there first fight. She really didn't get to finish it, since she dropped the sugar quills all over the floor. When she seen the captains badge pinned to his shirt.

Someone plopped down beside her and caused her mind to stop thinking about the train ride. It was Jai. The other person she had been thinking about a lot. Trying to figure out how she felt about him. She still wasn't sure what to think about his confession in Aftica. He liked her more than a friend. But how was she supposed to react to than when she still care for and Carter. Her head told her that maybe moving on with Jai was the best thing to do. But her heart kept saying what about Carter there is still something there. Espeically after there meeting on the train. She was herself again, and he was himself again. There was this comfronting healing feeling that she got from being with Jai. Like things could get better.

She really did snap away from her thoughts this time as he spoke to her. She turned to look at him. "It is? Well I just noticed that you guys silverware is dirtier then mine so I thought I'd come over and clean them help Gryffindor out." She grinned, yeah that was the real reason to be over here..... not. And she sure wasn't going the clean the Gryffindors silverware for them. She had to clean of own and that was enough.

Was she ready for the term? "Yes. What about you mister perfect?" She nugded him in the arm with her elbow.



Caroline was bored, and she was just about to get up and go to the Hufflepuff table to find Kita. Since she was the only reason why she would even go to the that puffy table. If it wasn't for Kita, she wouldn't even think about going to the hufflepuffs table. She had slid her chair back to leave when that gryffindor boy Rafe, from the train had appeared and asked if it was okay he sat there.

Not seeing the problem with that she scooted her seat back up to table "No, of Course take a seat." She was totally not leaving now. Although he had seem rather pushy toward Marilyn on the train, maybe Marilyn just had that effect on him or something. Kind of like the ridiculous effect she also had on Carter. When she run into Carter on the train. It was pure amazing. It was like nothing changed between them over the past few months. The bitterness after the break up was gone, and the awkwardness she feared after what happened on the train home and the kiss before they got off wasn't there. It all just came back naturally to them. Just like she wrote in the letter her whole world snapped back into forcus. There meeting on the traine was like she dreamed it would be when they seen each for the first time. Until she found out they were together, now.

Her blue eyes looked up at the boy, as he raised his eyebrows to the silverware. She smirked, "I hear the went on summer holiday as well. But that's some first year was saying." She laughed, stupid little first year, what did he know? Noticing that he seem to be thinking about something, maybe her cousin, she wondered if he knew that her and dear Marilyn were cousins. Or maybe he was trying to remember the cleaning spell, as he looked horrified at the state of them.

Ah that's what he was doing. Got it. And then he asked her how her summer was. He added something about Marilyn. So he was thinking about her. "It was great. I went to Africa, where I was somewhat of an intern for the Sunrays as a healer. Kita, my best friend and I went to California. I also went to Italy and met my grandparents for the first time." She laughed at the last part about Marilyn. Wasn't that true........

"Yes would could and I can help you with chess but I don't know what will happen being that is it Wizards chess." Ivan was happy he would get to use his chess set and that the transfiguration is a fun class.

"Me I am looking forward to everything and being a muggleborn I never got to look forward to this kind of thing." Ivan was happy to meet so many people. "So how is that cake?"

"Ohhh yes! It's very awesome! That's nice. I'm a half blood. Mum's a witch and Dad's a muggle. My mother never told me about Hogwarts. She only told me that it's going to be amazing. That's all.." Anne muttered.

As Ariella was cleaning, she noticed a new first year chatting to someone at the table. She remembered when she was a first year - and how she hated it when the older students ignored her.

Wanting to be friendly, she decided to make conversation with the girl. "Hello! I'm Ariella. Ariella Adler - second year. Nice to meet you!" she exclaimed cheerfully, holding out her hand for the girl to shake it.

"Really? Well, I'm sure we'll discover heaps about it on our own! What subjects are you looking forward too?"
