"Let's go." She smiled and she walked over going to the staircase, going up to the seventh floor.
"Wait for me! I need to find out where it is?! Plus I may be able to help!" Rosemary shouted after them as she swiftly ran behind them.
What in the name of Merlin was the point of this homework? Seriously. But, Dal wanted the points so he was going to do what he was told. So he found the mirror that he saw last year, and stared right at himself.
"Pass all your classes, 'kay?"
That was his goal. He had told himself it. YAY.
And now, since he was here... he fixed his hair, making the swish just right. Then he smiled at himself.

But over time Katie had come to realize that along with her losing battle to force certain manners upon the boys, Legend was a boy. Pure boy. And this, wasn't an uncommon boy-ish thing to do. She had accepted that.
A slight smile tugging at the corners of her mouth, Katie resisted the urge to roll her dark eyes toward the high ceiling above them. "Oh no? And here I thought you inhaled your food these days," She said lightly, more playfully or teasing than anything. The small, little smile that had appeared began to fade a bit at his question. "Yeah, I guess so?" Katie kind of gave a little shrug of her shoulders, which was 'not really' in Katie body language 101. When Legend said she seemed down, Katie gave him a weak smile. "I think I am."
"Nope! I've grown and learned the art of chewing." Legend said with a slight grin. He forced the rest of the sandwich into his mouth before he listened to what else Katie was saying.
Huh. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to force the food in his mouth. Legend's mouth was so full that it was even difficult to chew. "Hmhgmfgfhm." It was all he could get out. That and a small nod. She was feeling down? That wasn't good. That meant that something was wrong. Legend lifted up his arms and shoulders as if to ask what was wrong, because he obviously could not say it.

The art of chewing, huh? Yeaah. Her eyebrows raised as Legend shoved the rest of the sandwich into his mouth, there was still far too much left to all fit and for him to be able to practice his new found art of chewing. "You had better not spit that out and you better not choke, Legend Chosen." It was a simple, quiet warning, but Katie was serious. She did not want to see already chewed food on the stone floor, that was disgusting. And she really didn't want him to choke on it.
Glancing toward the mirror again, Katie remembered the first time she had come across it in her first year while exploring the castle with William, how much bigger it had been and how much smaller she had been, and more than that how strange she had thought it to be on the fourth floor. It was still strange. Hmmhmmwhut? Dark eyes moved back toward Legend, and she shrugged. "I didn't think it would end this soon?" Katie murmured, though it came out sounding like more of a question than a statement. She hadn't thought she would care at the end, either.

Conan had found the mirror. He had to tell the mirror his goals. Well he only had one. Well two. He gave the mirror a bit of a shine, so he could see himself. He had to then check his hair. Yep perfect as always.
Hair. CHECK. Goals....double check. Ish.
He took a deep breath. "One day..." He didn't know what to say. He knew what he wanted to do. But would it go down in a place like this.

He took a deep breath. "One day..." He didn't know what to say. He knew what he wanted to do. But would it go down in a place like this.
Carrying a few loose pieces of parchment in her hand, Kurumi made her way to the mirror trying to think about what her goals were. People had been asking her what she wanted to do with her life, but how was a thirteen year old supposed to know that already? the only thing she knew was that IF she made the Gryffindor Quidditch team that she didn't want to fall off her broom and end up in the hospital wing for a month.
That was a decent goal...right?
Turning the bend, Kurumi saw that she wasn't the only one wanting to do their Defense Against the Dark Arts assignment.
"Oh...um...h-h-h-hello," she stammered feeling a bit unsure if she should leave the boy alone or not.

Conan was stood thinking about his goals. And whether he was right to have them here. He sighed. "One day I wanna..." He jumped. There was someone here. He turned, "Oh hi." He quickly checked his hair again.
He smiled at her, "I'm Conan." He waved, hoping she would join him. Then he didn't have to say his goals. She could say hers. Yep yep.

Kurumi felt relieved when she saw the boy smile at her. At least now she knew that she hadn't stuck her nose where it hadn't belonged.
"Your hair looks fine," she giggled when she saw him check his reflection. Not that Kurumi was an expert on hair or anything. She always just wore hers up in a ponytail. But, he didn't look like he had just rolled out of bed or anything. "Nice to meet you, Conan." Kurumi couldn't help but giggle again. He shared a name with her favorite detective from a cartoon she had watched back home. "I'm Kurumi."

Conan's eyes widened. She had noticed. He was only checking. "I was just making sure." He smiled again. She was funny. "Your hair looks good too." He nodded. Yes it did.
"Nice to meet you too Kurumi." Why was his name funny? He was Conan. She hadn't heard his middle name yet, that was funny. He was named after a mouse.

Kurumi giggled softly once more. What was it with boys and their obsession with hair? She sure hoped that this Hufflepuff wasn't the sort to use avacado mousse in his hair. She still found that concept strange. Her cheeks blushed a bit when he complimented her hair and she immediately pulled a few strands in front of her face to make sure it wasn't turning some strange color.
"It's fine...I suppose," she said feeling a little relieved that it was just that, fine. Kurumi noticed a slight look of confusion on his face, but decided to bypass that for now since she had already embarrassed herself enough.
"Are you...are you also working on Lord Borr's assignment?" she asked pointing to the mirror. "I haven't got much of an idea of what my goals are...besides doing well in my studies that is."

Conan smiled softly as she blushed. It made her look shiny. No not shiny, glow. It made her glow. Like a princess. She looked like a mini Jasmine, sort of.
"It's pretty." He didn't know why she was checking it though. It looked pretty already. Or was she just playing with it? It was cute anyway.
He nodded, "Yeah. My goals. But I think my goals would be frowned upon in this place." He was always going to be a muggle, no matter what these 'wizards' said.

Little by little, bites of chewed up pieces of the sandwich began to slide down his throat. Allowing more room in his mouth so Legend did not look like a complete chipmunks. As soon as his mouth was empty he opened his mouth widely, showing Katie his amazing job of finishing his sandwich. ""You had better not spit that out and you better not choke, Legend Chosen."" He mimicked EXACTLY. He had gotten so used to this. It wasn't really special.
"Well..." As soon as Katie told him what was wrong, Legend's smile shrunk. That actually was sad. "Every good thing has to come to an end." He said quitely, resting his hand lightly on her shoulder. "And you should listen to that cause...you know I didn't make it up, I heard it somewhere. So that makes it more believable."

Kurumi stopped playing with her hair, well...she was more like examining it than anything else to be totally honest, and turned to face Conan. "Now, why would you think that anyone would frown on your goals and dreams?" Kurumi said frowning a bit and resting her hands on her hips. "If you can dream it, you can do it."
She turned and looked into the mirror where she could see both of their reflections clearly now. She had a lot of dreams, but she often wondered if she stood in from of the Mirror of Erised what would be looking back at her.

Nika walked in the random corridor looking for something to do. Perhaps she was looking for another slytherin out there to hug. Right, well whatever she was hoping to do her thoughts changed fast as she saw a mirror. She quickly searched her bag remembering that she had some DADA homework that involved a mirror. She read over the task and took a deep breath.
"So me," Well if she was supposed to be talking to herself she may as well do it properly. "I need to think of another goal. Something different than last time. Hmmm..." She set her bag down on the floor as she thought. "Oh well I guess one of my goals is to find a chocolate frog card that isn't Godric Gryffindor." It may sound like a silly goal, but Nika was determined. "Well you see me. Hehe I rhymed. Sorry. Well you see, I- I mean we...? Always get the same chocolate frog card everytime!"
"And so I, I mean we have to work hard to get another card by ourselves. Meaning no getting cards from others." Okay so even Nika was starting to see how silly this sounded but whatever. "And my solution... TO EAT MORE CHOCOLATE FROGS! Of course!" HEHE. Her way of getting chocolate!
Raspberry Jam | #ChocolateFrogFamous | Ultimate Fangirl
Jamie had left his DADA assignment rather late, and only imagined the other brainy students to have finished it by now! Whereas all he had accomplished was running and singing the chorus of a song... Failure. But he toddled along to the mirror on the fourth floor, because this was the activity that he felt was the easiest. Looking in the mirror happened every few hours for Jamie. He was hawt.
Right. The mirror was standing right here in front of him. And even though he knew that every other student had to do this, too, he still felt like an idiot. Talking to yourself was a sign of madness, wasn't it not?
Oh well... He really needed to learn not to care about looking stupid.
...
And he had to accept that he just was stupid. Plain and simple. Sighing, Jamie grinned at himself in the mirror, showing off his teeth. Merlin, those were good teeth. Now, a goal? As a little third year, who had yet to prove himself, he had many, actually. "Oh, hi, Jamie." GIGGLE. "Well, my main goal is to learn how to fly a broomstick." If anyone saw him at the flying lesson, there was no point denying anymore that he couldn't fly. "And maybe I could eventually sign up for the Quidditch team, and actually get ON the Quidditch team... and... be the star of the team." His vision of Quidditch was himself - and himself only - holding the cup with everyone cheering at him.
Maybe that was a bit far fetched, though. Feeling completely filled with self-belief and determination, Jamie seemed to go straight into cockiness. "Of course, if I did learn how to ride a broom, I would be awesome. And then I would become the Quidditch captain." Psshh, there was no doubt about that in his mind. If he wasn't going to be the best, then what was the point in trying to be second best?
Woah, shockingly, this mirror experience had actually egged him on. He had egged himself on. Because before, he was too afraid to even think about himself flying ever again, but now he had that drive inside of him. Now, how could he bring himself to achieve this? "I think I need to... attend flying lessons." Because he was actually planning on skiving out of them all... "Listen to the Professor, practice, and believe in myself" That had to be one of the cheesiest things he had ever said.
Nodding as he finished his chat with himself, Jamie turned quickly on his heel and darted off down the corridor. That was, of course, after flashing himself a grin and a wink.

At seventeen years old, Legend Chosen was still mimicking her. If she weren't trying to avoid problems with Legend again, Katie probably would have said something about that. So much for maturity and being of age, right? Still, she didn't say a word about his mimicking. Katie didn't feel in a mood to bother with that anyway, trying to keep their friendship minus fighting or not.
The corners of her lips tugged upward the tiniest bit, resisting a snort at his words. Yeah, she knew he didn't come up with that. She had heard that saying before too, and Legend wasn't that good. "I didn't expect to care, though." That was the problem. Katie hadn't thought it would matter. If anything, she should be happy, right? "Anyway.. what are up to, really?"

She didn't expect to care? Legend didn't know how to take that. Did that mean she hadn't expected that she would kiss the castle? Or her friends? Or the Professors? She had just expected to spend almost half of her life in this place and then be content to leave? "Well you have been here for seven years." That was obvious. Legend shrugged.
What was he up to? Legend shrugged again. Avoiding the question. Being around a sad Katie wasn't fun. Suddenly an idea popped into his head. His lips came together, forming a big grin. "Do you want to have fun Katie?"

Yes, Legend was right. She had been attending school here for seven years, just as he had. But.. she hadn't liked it in the beginning, did that make any difference? Did it make any more sense? Probably not. Katie decided to let it go, and settle for a tinsy nod of her head.
He shrugged. Katie wasn't sure what to make of that, except maybe he was merely wandering back toward his common room with the sandwich? Given, the sandwich didn't make it that far. And suddenly, he was grinning. Katie's eyebrows raised the slightest bit, a look of uncertainty presenting itself. "Sure, why not?" Though she agreed, it came out a bit cautiously. Something told her Legend definitely had something in mind, and that wasn't always a good thing.

Nika retraced her footsteps from the last time she had wandered off and ended up in a corridor where she found a mirror. It came in handy actually. Truth is she needs it again. Yes, she needs it for DADA homework. The homework that seems to be taking up most of her life at this point.
AHA! Mirror!! Found you at last! Nika ran up to the mirror and almost hugged it. THen she realized it was a mirror so she backed up.
"Alright mirror what goal shall I focus on today?" It's a good thing that Nika actually has a lot of goals. This way it's not that hard for her to do this one assignment. Or else talking about a different goal every week might have been hard.
"OH I KNOW!" She said jumping up in her excitement. "So mirror, you might not know, but today is hug a slytherin day." She said talking to herself/the mirror. "It's basically a competition to see who can hug the most Slytherins and I've hugged 23 so far!" She said puffing up her chest proudly.
"My goal is to win the competition." Yes, Nika is quite competitive. "I really want to beat everyone so I can have bragging rights! The only thing is that a lot of Slytherins don't really like hugs. But it's okay because it's a lot of fun seeing all of their reactions. I think that I can accomplish my goal if I keep hugging as many as I see! I think I have the top number right now anyways. I have to check with the others to be sure though." She said. She droned on talking about the day for a long time.
Making sure to mention how she was going to hug them all. She was planning to look for some more at the lake and maybe in the courtyard. Fee had told her that the snakes like to be around those places. When her little self talk finished she smiled at her reflection then skipped away in search of more of the snakes.

There! She wanted to do something fun. Legend reached out and grabbed her hand. "Alright then! Let's dance! Dancing is fun right?" Plus he needed to dance to times in one week and he had only danced once. This was tiring but he needed to do it.
Music? He still didn't figure out how to do that. Maybe Katie would know.

Now, Braeden was definitely not a vain, shallow boy. But when he walked down the corridor and found that mirror, he simply had to stop and take a look.
There was a bruise the size of China to the right side of his forehead.
The boy grimaced at the sight of it. He looked like he was in the middle of a metamorphosis that would end with him looking like Frankenstein. Or any other green monster.
The Gryffindork was just about to turn and move on with his life, when he noticed: the mirror was very slightly askew. And there seemed to be an opening behind it. Ooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhh? What's THIS?!
The goofiest and most lopsided of grins now took over Brae's face. MWAHA! He'd just found a secret passageway! Oh, just wait 'til everyone in the common room hears about this… Eagerly, the lanky boy pushed the mirror just enough so that he could fit through the secret opening. Except the opening was blocked. Because of a cave in.
NOOOOOOOOOO! ;____;
His hopes and dreams! DESTROYED!
Alright, maybe that was an exaggeration, but… he was definitely let down. With a sigh of disappointment, Braeden began to move the large and heavy mirror back to place. But because he was a butterfingers, the mirror ended up slipping from his hands and the very corner of it landed right on his big toe. Oh yeah.

Alfie was at the far end of the fourth floor, sitting on the detailed carpet as she finished up a little bit of homework. For one reason or another, she found comfort in the solitude of doing homework outside of the Common Room or library, she generally felt pretty private in the middle of a hallway, ironically. That was, until, she heard a "GYAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!" erupting from further down the fourth floor. Blue eyes widening, the blonde quickly whipped her head around just to see some kid with a mirror on his foot. "ARE YOU OKAY?!" she yelled from her spot on the floor, blonde eyebrows raising just slightly as she set her many pieces of parchment on the floor next to her bookbag. She scrambled to her feet in the next moment, jogging over to the young man who was sporting a mirror as a toe ring.
Cursing under her breath (never the most lady like), Alfie helped him removed the large wall ornament from his toe. "Is your toe gonna fall of--" she began to ask, her gaze wandering up to his own features only to find....what was that? A bruise? What was with this kid? "Wow. You are...really good at getting injuries, eh?"

Braeden couldn't help it, but his eyes filled with tears when the horridly heavy mirror stabbed his toe. His toe… His precious toe! It had been with him through all the good times and the bad times, it had never left him, it had been the friend he'd needed when things went wrong -- alright maybe this was all an exaggeration, but leave it up to Braeden to get all dramatic when he was in terrible pain.
Biting at his bottom lip to keep himself from wailing obnoxiously, the Gryffindork turned to the girl that came up to him at that moment. He'd never seen her before but didn't worry about introductions too much - his toe had just been brutally cut off the rest of his body!
Well, not literally… but that's how it felt.
As the blonde girl asked if his toe was going to fall off, Braeden could only nod. He couldn't even speak because parting his lips would only lead him to wailing like a newborn. Instead, the boy gathered all of his strength (which wasn't much), and pushed the cursed mirror off his toe, letting it hang still and happy on the wall. His reflection seemed to mock him from the mirror; Braeden merely glared at it.
Then the girl was saying something about him being talented at injuring himself. Brae's bushy eyebrows furrowed at first, but then he understood what had gotten her to make that comment. "Oh… this…" His gaze went up, as if he could see the bruise sitting just above his eyebrows. "Yeah, it's one of my many talents. Amongst divination and tying shoelaces," said the boy with one of his goofy grins. He then sat down on the cold floor of the corridor and warily began to untie his sneakers.

Time to see the damage.
Alfie's blue eyes seemed to follow the boy's as he stared up towards his forehead, listening as he explained that getting injured was one of his many talents; along with divination and tying shoelaces. Her eyebrows rose just slightly as she gave a vague nod of understanding, giving a weak smile to this unknown boy who had nearly just cut off his own toe via mirror. She couldn't help but allow her smile to widen as he gave her a sort of goofy grin, growing slightly amused with how he was taking this. When she had come over it'd seemed as though he was going to start wailing, now he was grinning and...sitting on the floor?
Still standing, Alfie watched as he plopped onto the floor and began to untie his shoes, quickly realizing that she was about to see a wound. The girl had never really been squimish though, so she only flinched very slightly as she realized his motives. And, feeling rather strange just standing there watching him, she took a seat a few feet from the kid, her blue eyes curiously watching as he began to remove his shoe. What if it had really been cut off? She'd heard of stuff like that happening, but... What if his toe actually like...rolled out of his shoe?!
The girl's expression grew a little more disturbed by these thoughts, quickly diverting her gaze to the actual kid she was currently sharing the floor with. Upon scrutinization, she quickly realized he wasn't so much a kid. In fact, he had to be older than her by at least a year. She couldn't help but get a bit of a kid-like vibe from him though, from the way he was plopped onto the floor untying his laces, and how he had announced earlier a few of his talents.
She then returned her attention to the foot at hand, her blonde eyebrows furrowed just slightly as she grew more interested about what kind of damage the mirror had done. She wished she had something witty to say, something to fill this silence with, but she was never good at saying the right thing.

At first Braeden was feeling a little wary of pulling his shoe off. Who knew what kind of disturbing sight he was going to find there?! What if he pulled off his shoe and his toe would just kind of fall over and dangle, not totally cut off from the rest of the foot?
Oh Merlin, gross.
He made a face at his own thoughts, vaguely aware of the blonde girl now joining him on the floor. Once the shoe was off, Braeden tossed it aside. It hit a random little first year that was walking by. "Oh, sorry!" But the first year merely ran off looking for a teacher to complain to.
And now, all that was left to remove was the sock (which had a pattern of little lion heads; Gryffindor pride all the way). Braeden began to remove the sock slowly, warily. He was a little nervous but extremely curious about what he might find under there. The sock was slightly tainted pink around the big toe, so whatever damage the mirror had caused, it had definitely caused some minor blood loss.
"The moment of truth," announced Braeden with his goofy grin as he looked up at the blonde for a moment before returning his gaze to his foot. And then he pulled off the sock abruptly.
"GARRHGHHH--URRRGHH!"
The sight was gruesome.
Poor Braeden's toe had swollen up fast as it stood about three times larger than its twin on the boy's other foot. It was bright red and purple and green, and the toenail was bleeding slightly, a texture on it as if it had been shattered.
Yeah, alright. Forget dinner. Braeden was not going to be able to eat after seeing this.
The boy squirmed and twisted his features at the sight, pushing himself back on the floor, but no matter how far away he slid, the gruesome toe followed him.
Obviously.
