The Stands
 

OH! MY! MERLIN!

It was the first quidditch match of the season and Marie's best friend (that wasn't Destiny) was actually playing in the game. That's right, it was none other that Evelyn Flores-Shepard -- She-Snake gone Seeker. Well Marie just assumed Ev would be seeker cuz she was just that awesome. She couldn't wait to start cheering her friend on.

This match was going to be GREAT!

Slytherin would show those puffy kids who ruled the quidditch skies, yes they would.

Entering the stands she seen that her and Destiny were the first to arrive. "Well, guess we get to sit where ever we want." She said to Destiny. "I say we go all the way to the top." Yep, that way they wouldn't miss any of the action in the skies. So to the top she went, looking back every now and then to make sure Destiny was still following.

Sitting down once she reached the top she looked down to the entrance.

Where was everyone?

Destiny didn't know how much she missed watching Quidditch until it was taken away from her. Sure, she wasn't a HUGE fan nor did she like flying all that much, but sitting in the stands, cheering like crazy was something she did like.

And that was something she was good at!

Besides, what kind of friend would she be if she didn't go to cheer on Evelyn? A pretty lousy one, that's for sure.

With her Slytherin scarf wrapped around half her face, because it was super cold, Destiny made her way up the many steps of the stands, trailing a little behind Marie. Someone was in a rush. "Mmhmm." she mumbled, not bothering to take the scarf off. And even if Destiny didn't want to sit ALL the way up there, Marie would have dragged her. It was best to just agree with that one.

Plopping down in the seat, because she was tired of walking and because Marie sat down, too, Destiny unwrapped the scarf from her face. "Why didn't you try out for the team? You like flying fast and hitting people. You'd be the perfect Beater."

That was a compliment.

"WAIT FOR ME!!!"

Sweet Merlin! What was the hurry? The game hadn't started yet had it? Mia looked over her shoulder at the pitch while climbing up the stairs which was not a really good idea.

She managed to miss a step and stumbled a little before righting herself and continuing her way upwards.

Her first quidditch match and Hufflepuff were playing. It was so exciting. Only problem was that they were playing against Slytherin which would have been okay except for the fact that Evelyn was playing. Her friend. Against her house.

Mia didn't know who she should be cheering for. When she finally managed to catch up to the other girls, she plopped down beside them, very much out of breath. "Why are we sitting all the way up here?"

Rex walks into the stands. He is rooting for HufflePuf. He is rooting for his girl Rene. " Go Go Rene and HufflePuff" Rex called out.

Marie couldn't believe it. Destiny followed her all the way to the top and not once did she complain about having to walk so much. Must be all the running Evelyn makes Destiny do with her.

Why didn't she try out for the team? Sure she was fast on a broom, and sure she LOVED to hit people, but to be on the team... "Thanks but hitting someone with a bludger wouldn't be as satisfying as hitting them with my fist." Well it's true.

And then there was yelling... then someone sitting on her other side. "Hey Mia. We are sitting up here because this is where all the action takes place... you know seeing as how this game is played in the air, not down there." She said looking down at the pitch. Had the girl never been to a quidditch match? All the good action takes place in the skies not on the ground.

Hmm.

If Destiny didn't have the scarf wrapped around her whole head, she might have heard Mia yelling and if she heard Mia yell..well, she would have kept walking. They were all going to the same place, to watch the same thing and Destiny HOPED Mia was cheering for Evelyn. Even though they were playing against Hufflepuff..

If not, she could go over there and sit with Rex. Hehe. Leaning forward, so she could see Mia, she nodded her head towards Marie. "She likes to see me sweat." And all that other stuff Marie said about the action.. The action that Marie would not be a part of because she wouldn't get the satisfaction of hitting people with her fists.

"Still, you should try out. Maybe if you hit people with a bludger, you wouldn't want to hit them with your fist. You could walk around with a Beater's bat."

And that image was really, really scary.

Time for the first quidditch game already. Caroline couldn't believe it, she wished that she had tried out this year. She was excited about Katie, her partner in crime, first match as a beater for Slytherin. She knew that Katie will do great today. Todays match was against Hufflepuff, easy win for the snakes for sure.

Caroline walked to the quidditch pitch quickly although the match wasn't for a while. She wanted to get a good place to sit. She noticed many people there already. She found a spot all the way at the top. She sat there alone in her green attire, supporting Slytherin.

Of course Josh was not the kind to arrive late to a Quidditch match even though it had nothing to do with his house. Yet on the other hand the prior reason why he was there was obvious. And it had nothing to do with the match itself as the people who knew him could easily guess. Hehehehehehe. This was going to be exciting though he did feel a little bit weird. A feeling that he could not describe or understand. Totally weird...

Wearing all red and carrrying his red and yellow scarf in his hands, he made all the way to the top where a group of Slytherins was seated. Bahahahaha! It was going to be interesting to be among them with his full Gryffindorish look. With that thought, the boy walked towards the Slytherin girls with a wide grin on his face. Aha! Were not those girls Destiny and Marie? The Hufflepuff girl...mmm...he did not think he knew her. And then there was a blonde Slytherin who sat alone. Josh did not know her either but it did not mean he would not ask her a simple question. ''Excuse me snake lady'' so he said smirking at the girl while playing with his Gryffindor scarf ''Why is this place full of girls? I did not know it was only for girls. Any idea?''

Well duh! She knew that. Actually no she didn't because this was her very first quidditch match but she was not going to say that.

"Oh okay." Mia bounced slightly in her seat. She was so excited about this match. She only wished that Hufflepuff were playing a different team because she didn't know who to cheer for.

She looked over at Destiny and raised an eyebrow at the girl. "Sweat? Don't tell me you're afraid of heights?" They were pretty high and it was so cool.

Leaning back in her chair, Mia propped her feet up onto the chair in front of her. There was no one there yet so it was all good. "So did anyone think to bring a drink?"

Hehe...

Mia noticed another Slytherin girl take a seat not too far away and she gave the girl a cheery wave and smile. "Sooooo exciting, isn't it?"

Lexi made her way up the stands... ALL the way up the seemingly endless stairs to a nice spot near the top of the rows. Making sure her Gryffindor scarf was pulled snugly around her neck she cast a glance around her and noticed Mia and gave her a wave. Not missing a chance to TRY to be cordial she gave Marie a little nod of the head and a smile.

Focusing back on her little companion she smiled and extracted her wand from her sleeve. With a few swishes and flicks she cleared them places to sit without getting cold and wet. Then digging in her bag she smiled at Kurumi and asked, "Would you like some cocoa?" Finally finding the thermos she pulled it and the little mugs out from her bottomless pit and gave a giggle.

Kurumi followed Lexi as they made their way through the stands trying her best to keep up. It took a lot of effort to not just grab onto the girl's robes, but Kurumi didn't want to seem like she was going to be a burden. After all, Lexi had invited her to watch the match together.

Glad that they had found some seats, Kurumi sat down and nodded enthusiastically when Lexi offered her some cocoa. "I'd love some," she chirped. It was cold enough that Kurumi could see her own breath. She was certainly glad she had thrown her Gryffindor scarf on at the last minute. "Would you like some of the cookies I baked for the match?" she asked pulling out a rather large white box and opening it to reveal more golden snitches than you could count.

The first Quidditch match! Okay, it was not Helena's first Quidditch match, but the first one since she arrived at Hogwarts. And the Slytherins were playing! Against the Hufflepuffs.

Helena walked to the stands and sat down. She was alone, but it was okay. Quidditch! She couldn't be more excited about it! Despite her fear of brooms and flying and everything, she LOVED Quidditch.

Getting settled into her seat and placing her wand back into it's holster she poured the cocoa out for herself and Kurumi. Passing one of the mugs to her little friend she smiled as she took a snitch cookie. "You really have a talent for baking," she commented.

Looking out at the pitch she sighed slightly and shook her head. "So this is your first quidditch match isn't it? Since you started last term and all. You are really in for a treat. Greatest sport ever, this is," she told the girl with a sense of longing in her voice. She LOVED quidditch... her OWLs were more important though. Stupid maturity.

Kurumi blushed as she tool the mug from Lexi and blew on it a bit.

"First match, first everything having to do with Quiffish," she nodded. Wait, that didn't sound right. Maybe Lexi wouldn't notice? She was having flashbacks to when Adam had tried to teach her about the sport. She could hardly pronounce the names let alone remember what each position did. "So....I take it you like...Quaddishu..."

Conan entered the stands. Treyen was playing quidditch. He liked Treyen. Very very much. Sierra was playing too. But he had to choose Hufflepuff to win. Because he was a Hufflepuff. He took a seat in the stands and pulled his cloak tighter to him. It was cold here. Why was everything about this place so much worse than home?

'So you are rooting for yoru hiuse?' Rex asked him. " My name is Rex Trigwell" he introduced himself. " My girlfriend Rene is playing beater for HufflePuff" Rex said to him. " I believe the HufflePuff team is the one to beat" Rex explained to him.

Conan nodded, as an older boy spoke to him. "Conan Taylor," he mumbled. Well that was his name. "I have never seen a game of Quidditch before. I don't even know how it is played. And what is a beater?" He presumed the brooms were involved. But he knew no more.

The first quidditch match of the term. She was more excited than she thought she would be. Who would have thought she'd miss the matches so much after not having them for a term? Certainly not her. Though it could have been all the talk of the match with her quidditch crazy friends that had her this excited.

Making her way up the stands, curls bouncing with each hop she took, she took a seat in her favorite spot. Not only did it give her a good view of the pitch, but it was also a good distance away from that hobo at the top of the stands. She would never sit beside her. Ever. Mia and a few others got smiles though.

Making herself comfortable, and tugging on her scarf Hufflepuff, like everything else she was wearing she made herself comfortable in the seat, waiting for the match to begin.

Sammy made her way onto the stands. There was no way in the world she was missing her sister's first quiditch match ... even if it was against her own house :whaa: But she had, of course being the genius she was, come up with a solution.

She had a big sign, which flashed between GO TEE! in green sparkly writing and GO PUFFS! in big bold yellow sparkly writing. Yes, she's a genius. She was also dressed in all yellow, being the puff she was, she had a LOT of yellow.

She plopped down into a seat next to a puff she had never talked to before. She smiled at her and had her folded sign in her lap. SHE WAS READY FOR THE FIRST QUIDITCH MATCH! Her sister's team, verses her house team ... well this should be interesting.

Arabella-Marie walked up to the stands and stood for a few minutes she was here to cheer on Katie and the slytherin team which was good cause she was wearing green and silver earrings as well as a slytherin scarf she stood and waited for the match to start she was excited

So Aimée had never been that into Quidditch, but she put it down to not really understanding it, never playing it, and never seeing it. So now was her chance to understand, and even enjoy it, she decided. Making her way to a seat at the top of the stands, the debate in her head was as such: which team to support?

Ravenclaw weren't playing, or else she would have supported them. If she'd had a relative in either Hufflepuff or Slytherin, she would have supported the relative team. But she was without relatives in this school, so her decision was harder. She thought about which of her friends where in these said houses, and realised that Harley was in Slytherin, whilst Chandler was in Ravenclaw. So that was no help either.

Beginning to get frustrated as to who to show support for, Aimée sighed. I'll support boz teams, zen I can't be disappointed by ze outcome. she thought to herself.

Lexi just happened to be trying to sip her cocoa as Kurumi said something about a FISH. Blinking a few times as she scalded her tongue she looked at the girl. "Quidditch, Kurumi. Q-U-I-D-D-I-T-C-H. And yeah, I used to play for the house team. I am definitely a fan," she said with a grin.

"I played Chaser and Beater for a while. Loved them both although I am partial to Beater. Got to carry a bat and all," she said with a chuckle.

Raven got himself unto the stands, it's his first ever Quiddicth match to watch, this is a game of likely soccer or something but magical in essence, Racing broom, he wish he had one.

Raven trying to find anyone he know, but finding another mate, will be great.

Hugo hopped onto the stands, wearing a blue sweater and a green hat, so that he would still be a Ravenclaw but obviously rooting for Slytherin in this match. He was gunna be a Slytherclaw in this match. He took off his scarf and put it on the seat next to it, so that it would warm up for when Fee got there. He took a glass bottle from his bag and opened it. Butterbeer from the three broomsticks he had took last weekend. Nice. He was excited for the first match, to root for Alex and maybe for Katie. If she did good. Which she probably wouldn't... :whistle: Hugo looked around for any relatives of his.
