"Nice to see you again!" Meredith exclaimed. Meredith noticed Jenny looking at her. Meredith assumed that Jenny noticed something was wrong. She was right. "True! Very true! I didn't think about that! Thanks!" Meredith said smiling, it made her feel a little better. Meredith liked positive people. "Oh i'm fine, it was just kind of weird, for second we were in the lead and the next second we have negative. But its all good." Meredith said with a smile.

Amadeus strode over to the giant, pillar-like glass vials. He pursed his lips, his eyes immediately darting over to the hourglass that held the sparkling blue gems, indicating his noble house. Had his professor given him those points for answering the question about amortentia correctly, he wondered? Amadeus was rather nit-picky about such things and he hoped that his points would help dig Ravenclaw out of the negative ditch that they were already stuck in. He leaned over to examine the point count, his eyes narrowed as he did the math mentally.

Standing up straight, he smiled. All was in order and his points had been garnered. However, a stern, disappointed look fell upon his serious face as he examined the points for all of the houses. "What a shame," He murmured, noticing that all houses had negative points. It was only the start of the term, but for Merlin's sake! What was the school coming to? "Disgraceful." Amadeus shook his head slightly, his lip curling in disdain.

Pushing open the doors of the great hall, Mia stepped out into the entrance hall and looked around for a sign that Neptune was still aound.

She spotted the older girl just passing the hour glasses and she took off at a run and just managed to catch the Ravenclaw before she ascended the stairs. Mia lightly tapped her on the shoulder.

"Um...Neptune?"

Neptune turned at the tap and was admittedly surprised to see the source. She might have frowned MORE, but at least made a small effort not to.

"Yes, Mia?"

The Hufflepuff was rather surprised herself, she didn't know that Neptune knew her name. She gave the girl a small tentative smile. "I just wanted to see if you were alright?"

Mia gazed back at the Great Hall and then back to Neptune. "You kinda looked a bit upset back there."

"Oh?" Neptune crossed her arms across her chest and only just managed not to glare. "How odd."

Because really, what did Neptune have to be upset about? She cast a quick look around them, juuuuuust to be sure it was only them about, then brought her attention back to Mia. Stare.

Helena just loved exploring the castle and discovering new places. New for her. She stopped by the giant hourglasses, for the first time actually. She sighed as she noticed that the slytherins were still on the second place. Well, she did everything she could to earn more points.

Justin ran down the corridor and up to the hourglasses. Why was he running? It didn't make any sense at all. But then neither did he. Teehee. He smiled when he saw a girl stood by the hourglasses too. He thought he recognised her from the common room but he never really thought about talking to her. So now he would. And he shockingly didn't have his guitar. "Hey, I'm Justin" he introduced himself to the girl. But he was out of breath and needed to catch his breath.

Huh?

Helena was so dreamy, so she barely noticed a boy talking to her. "Hi Justin," she smiled, "Nice to meet you. I'm Helena," she said as she held out her hand.

She giggled. "What happened to you? You're barely breathing."

Justin smiled and shook the girls hand. "Nice to meet you too, Helena" he said still shaking her hand. But had to let go, he was about to go into a coughing fit. Not a good idea to run so far. Stupid idea in fact. "I just.....ran......from the.......common room..........without......stopping" he said still trying to catch his breath and stop himself from choking at the same time.

"Oh, I see," she said, once he let go of her hand. "Why were you in such a hurry?" Hehe, Helena never seemed to be so rushed.

"I just needed to get away. Long story. And possibly a little difficult in the circumstances" replied Justin. Not that he wanted to confide in a total stranger whom he'd just met. Life was so difficult once you were a teenager. Responsibilities.

Helena nodded slowly, then smiled again. "Okay, I got it." Well, she understood him. He wouldn't talk to her, when they just met, about his personal problems, would he? Helena could definitely keep a secret or just listen to the other's problems, but not everyone was just the way she was, trusting almost anyone. "So, did you enjoy the classes? Do you have any favourite one?" Okay, too many questions.

She was getting the feeling that this might not have been a good idea after all. Mia flinched slightly at the staring and took a small step back from the older girl. She didn't know if the blond was the violent type and Mia didn't particularly want to find out.

"Um...look. I am not here to pry into your business. I just wanted to see if you were okay. Jimmy said I should check on you." Okay so that's not exactly what he had said. He had told her that she COULD check on Neptune not that she SHOULD.

Eh mere technicalities.

Justin half-smiled. He could see he and Helena would probably be good friends. Hopefully. Maybe another friend to be close to and be able to confide in. "But thanks for showing an interest" he said. He nodded truthfully. "I did. My favourite is either Muggle Studies or Charms. Most Slytherin's my age would say DADA too but I'm not that intereted in it" he replied. Those Slytherin's were stereotypical Slytherin's.

"I'm really looking forward to my first Muggle Studies lesson." Being raised in a pureblood family, Helena knew almost nothing about muggles. But some of them were... fascinating.

Neptune eased her eyes back to the Hufflepuff, clearly on the brink of asking a bit MORE.... maybe. ......nah. Maybe? She WANTED to ask, but it was best she didn't...?

Especially with the look on the girl's face.

"Then don't tell him anything," Neptune suggested. "Tell him you aren't his errand girl."....."Why ARE you running his errands?" Though, Neptune hardly saw herself as an errand, and even less so as one of Jim's errands. The question still applied somehow.

"You ...may..." But the answer wasn't one Neptune could REALLY explain? "It's not so much you as it is..... you." That made zero sense, Neptune knew, out loud. "It's silly now. I don't really mean to be ugly to you."

Wasn't REALLY Mia's fault.

Mia didn't realise that looking out for someone was running an errand. "I'm not." She replied, shifting uncomfortably again. "I was just trying to be nice that's all. It was my idea to come out and see you and Jimmy agreed." Because he was too busy glaring at Ivan to do it himself.

"Oh...I- what?" That made absolutely no sense to Mia whatsoever. "Then why are you?" She asked Neptune as she tugged on her robes, feeling more and more uncomfortable as this conversation went on but was determined to know what she had done to the girl.

Neptune's eyes traveled back towards the Great Hall. Jimmy hadn't just got rid of Mia to beat up Ivan..... right? Not that she was going back to check, but.... right?

SIGH. "I'm not. I'm not trying to anyway. You're just not my favorite person ever and it's not your fault." Couldn't that be good enough? No? It was probably going to have to be because Neptune wasn't going to SAY why the sight of Mia sometimes made her.... ache? Something.

"You were.... having a pretty odd conversation back there. Couldn't help but overhear a bit." Like, really, impossible not to listen.

It didn't take a genius to figure out why Neptune was being like this to her especially with the way she kept looking back towards the Great Hall. Mia was actually hoping that she would say it so that she could assure the girl that there had never been anything between Jimmy and herself bar a couple of kisses. Even Marie could see that! "Well I guess I am just going to have to deal with it then. Shame though..."

They might have been friends.

This time Mia looked towards the Great Hall and she couldn't help but chuckle just a little. "Odd doesn't even cover it." She returned her gaze back to Neptune. "Total misunderstanding on my part, so it would seem."

"I doubt very much that you deal with it," Neptune tilted her head to consider Mia. Perhaps they weren't on the same page? Hmmm. She really wasn't TRYING to be mean. Just things were SO weird and things back THERE in the Great Hall had been SO.... weird.

She did not have her stuff together. At all.

Neptune found a curl on her shoulder to study and avoid looking at Mia. "It happens. Misunderstanding. Seems everything is as it should be though."

Or something.

Mia was seriously having a sense of déjà vu. First she has a weird conversation with Jimmy and now she was having one with Neptune. Perhaps she should have just stayed in the Great Hall with the two boys. It would have been a lot more fun than this.

She shrugged her shoulders. "I can't make you like me Neptune so I am not going to try. It's your choice on who you like and who you don't like. As for everything being the way they should be..." Mia shrugged her shoulders again. "Are they?"
