I'm good really I am he thought as he sluggishly gave up his excellent spot and moved to the Professor's left.

And leaned back a lil to check out the rest of the..... outfit. Yeah.


As another student joined him, Salander sprang back from his leaning and jerks his head up at the other boy in greeting. "W'zup!" he mumbles.


Salander had that oopsie grin sneak into his face slowly as he rubbed the back of his head awkwardly. He wasnt being rude. He was merely appreciating Mother Nature's gift to mankind. Wizardkind. Yeah.

"Because Professor Lafay..." he started with a respectful nod to his Head of House ".... it bespeaks of our lineage-- it shows the manner of how we were raised and how we relate to other people." Cue polite smile. And keep his eyes to her face. Try to at least.

Hyun couldn't help but grin when he saw the other boy *looking*. But then again he couldn't blame him. Why on earth would someone want to wear that suit?! He nodded his head in awknowledgment at the boy on his right. He made sure the Professor was still talking towards the other students before mumbling"Not much , perv" back with the grin still plastered on his face.

Hyun looked back at the other students when he vaguely heard the question. Manners right? ...yeah WHY were they so important? honestly, Hyun never knew. He only greeted people when he felt like it , was there some kind of law that says you SHOULD greet someone with respect? he didn't know so he wisely for the first time held his mouth shut and let the others do the talking.

Earlier on, when Iris had gone to the notice board to pin up some of the invitations, she'd noticed a new message there, posted by Lafay. She had a funny feeling that the meeting was about points and behaviour. Sighing as she made her way back into the common room, she noted how few students were in the common room.

Lafay was already here, too, though it didn't look like she'd stared the meeting. With a respectful nod to her Head of House, Iris spoke up. "Hello, Professor Lafay." Iris then went and stood a little way from the lady, twiddling her thumbs and hoping that Aaron would turn up soon. Last thing she needed was him getting in trouble for not coming.

*Blink*

The Head Girl stood at the back of the Common Room watching all the students in front of her, her arms folded across her chest. She would immediately address her Head of House but she thought it rude to interrupt the meeting with her pleasant greeting, instead she sent a genuine smile over at Lafay and a nod of the head, acknowledging her presence and trying to seem polite without speaking up. Or maybe she should... "Hello Professor Lafay" she watched the other students being called up to stand next to her.

But then came the reason while they were there. Students were being rude? Was that it? Trixie raised her hand, so she could be seen from the back, not that she exactly felt the need to be there, but she wasn't going to go against the Potions Professor, she was kinda intimidating at times, a brilliant teacher, amazing really but... definitely intimidating. "Because manners shows respect. It is RUDE and ignorant to not be respectful to one another. We don't want people to THINK Slytherin are the 'bad' house again do we?" she lowered her hand as she answered. Was that what she wanted?

Oh boy, Stand with her? Rae took a deep breath and exhaled slowly as she moved to her right. She stood silent as three other were called, one being Sal. At least she wasn't in this one alone.

Lafay started talking and Rae's insides started turning. She started putting the peices together, people standing next to Lafay in a wetsuit with a big tank of slime.....

Can she run now?

Hmm yes, we are watching you Destiny Shepard! Our hazel eyes see where you're going. Pffft.

As if she didn't see Destiny's hand inching towards the horn, and as if she were completely oblivious to Destiny there altogether, the Slytherin stretched her back and moved the horn away to her other hand. Mwa! Can't get it noooooow!

Meep! She was listening!

Blinking a few times, Evelyn slightly froze over once she saw who was standing up at the front, and once she heard just what this meeting was all about. Awww eh. Good Merlin, manners? Who wouldn't greet the profe-

She forgot to greet Lafay in potions didn't she. Riigghht. Thank Merlin she wasn't up at the front then. Good luck to Rae and Salander.

And...she would've answered the question, really she would have, but that Head Girl...girl...summed it up pretty nicely. Plus they were just totally better then everyone else, but the fifth year figured that wasn't something appropriate to say.

Leopold had been quietly sitting in the back for the start of this meeting, twindling his thumbs and WISHING he had his nintendo system with him. Honestly, he didn't know that many people in his own house....minus Trixie...pretty pretty Trixie. Thinking of Trixie, Leo turned his head and was surprised to see the girl standing a few feet away. He sent her a nervous smile, scared to say anything for fear he might get ganged up on by his fellow house mates or worse....his house members. IT WASN'T HIS FAULT HE WAS PARANOID!

Looking over at his head of house, Leo said nothing. His big brown eyes grew and he nodded, gulping. He tried to smile and he DID smile, however it was a very nervous smile. It wasn't HIS fault he was scared of most females. D:

Manners? Oh gosh yes. Manners were important, mom always said so. Fidgeting with the toy water gun in his pocket, Leopold let out a cough."Cause....manners are important to everyone."He said in a low voice. OMG, WHAT IF HE WAS SAYING THE WRONG THING?! D: He readjusted himself, long limbs hanging."And they are...especially important to us because..."He blinked and then coughed. Oh lordy, he was scared."Because to be...great you need manners...?And..."He looked towards Trixie as she spoke, nodding his head."Respect. Great people need respect."

COUGH. Of course, he was referring to EVERYONE in Slytherin but himself. He wasn't great...he was lame. D:

Fallon gave Lafay a warm smile, even though she wasn't exactly fond of the woman. It was just in Fallon's nature to be nice.

Fallon eyed the students standing next to her. She didn't see anything really that wrong with them. Everyone should know by now not to mess with Lafay. She could be a mean woman if you got on her bad side.

Fallon was going to answer, but Trixie beat her to it and she figured repeating wouldn't be of any help. So she sat and waited for Lafay to go on with what she was saying. It only seemed right.

She noodded to the boy and said "Just don't do that again, Master Kim."

... why was he leaning so far back? Students.

"That is why manners are important... not why they are important to a Slytherin." She told Salander.

"Hello Prefect Beaumont," she told her prefect.

"Yes Miss Malfoy, that could be one of the reasons. But there is a more important one."

"That is true." She said and shrugged.

"If you went to the headmaster, and asked him for something or to do something for you, and he knew you had no manners, didn't greet him in class..." she said looking at Evelyn then to the rest of them, "or just didn't ask with a please... He would never do anything for you." She said looking at the children's faces... were they understanding? "If you didn't show him the respect you need to show him, he wouldn't entertain helping you."

She ran her fingers through her hair, "Do you understand? Manners are important to a Slytherin because they get. You. What. You. Want." She said and paused for effect. "If you truly are ambitious, you will use everything you have to further yourself. Manners are indeed a sign of respect. Use that to get what you want." She told them.

"Now... the Meeting part of this is over... lets get to the fun." She said and tapped the floor with her wand. The rug pulled up and a hatch was in the middle. She opened the hatch and within it was... ice. She put her wand to the ice and it began melting, fast. After a few moments she removed the wand. "This is a scuba hatch. You can drop in here and travel under the lake. You cannot resurface on the outside, the lake is charmed that way so we cannot leave the castle, and intruders cannot come in. You may encounter a mermaid, beware of jelly fish, and grindylow. I will be underwater with you, so nothing will happen to you." She said and then with her wand opened a truck that had been behind her. "Self fitting wetsuits, all green and silver. Put them on and they will shrink or enlarge to fit your body type. Those of you who are old enough to know the bubblehead charm, be my guest, you younger lot..." she opened the jar and took out some of the slimey green stuff, "Gillyweed."

Helena's eyes went wide. Reeeeaaaally wide. Not sure if she was supposed to raise her hand or not, she raised it slowly anyway. "Professor?" Oh God, how was she going to say this? "Do we... have to do this? I... I'm not... a big fan of the water." No, she surely wasn't. She didn't even know how to swim.

Fallon listened as Lafay talked about manners and such. She understood why they were important and all that. Any human should understand that. Didn't mean they had to have them.

Okay what? Fallon tried not to let her jaw drop. Even if Lafay was going underwater with them, for some reason this didn't seem like the best idea. Fallon was great at the bubble head charm and knew it would last, but that didn't mean that she wanted to go under the lake!!

Fallon was not to keen on seeing Grindylows and mermaids. She still vaguely remembered her first year. Yeah, not fun. She tentatively walked up to grab a wet suit and inspected it. She was not just going to pull this thing on and jump in by herself.

Iris looked at Lafay as she begun to talk. Determination. Manners. Ambition.

All of the usual stuff.

Why was she - ?

Iris stared at Lafay as she opened a hatch in the floor, and announced that they'd be going INTO the lake. The prefect couldn't even HIDE her feelings for this idea. Her face was white with fear. "...Um..."

The bubblehead charm? ... Iris didn't know it. She hadn't gone to that Charms lesson, because of this exact reason!

Looking across the room, Iris saw Fallon. She gave her a helpless, terrified look. There was no way she'd be able to tell Lafay that she wasn't going in the Lake. She was Lafay's prefect. Iris was supposed to set the example...

Maybe she could help the first years into their wetsuits... and then she could slip away, unnoticed?

Hyun was relieved when the professor wasn't "that" angry at him. phew. He listened to her speech and let her words sink in. She was right! to get things he wanted he needed to get with respect! oooh so know he got it! ...he thought...

When the speech was over his mouth literally dropped down when the professor opened a hatch in the floor. Where did that came from?! Had it been there all along?

Without waisting any minute, Hyun dived forward to grab a wet suit NOT even caring if he was changing his outfit in front of the students. When he was in his green/silver wet suit the suit grew a bit tighter and shorter to fit his body and he turned around.

He looked how some students were nervous ..or even scared. As a durmstrang student, he had no idea what kind of creatures lived in the lake and just did not get why they were scared.

Riiight, so he now needed to perform the bubblehead charm. Easy right?, left! i mean WRONG! Hyun hadn't been in that class because he had been traveling from Russia to England at that time..or he had been in durmstrang. Anyways he had never learned the spell. "Professor, can i *please* have some gillyweed?" he asked.

Right. Painful memories came back.... 1st year.... Flooding.... WHy have a hatch in the first place?

Anyway... Besides all that. This could be lots of fun. Swimming underneath the school... REAL cool. But the bubble head charm. Anyone who's anyone knows that Aaron Anderson is bad at charms. If I tried this, I'd probably suffocate myself. Eh... I was pretty good at this, though. Nothing bad should happen... Probably.

Aaron looked around the room and spotted Iris and Fallon. He knew both of them probably had their doubts. But Aaron Anderson was Slytherin captain. He had to be the brave and tough one! Not when I might drown.... Okay. Let's do this.

Aaron waved at Fallon, trying to get her over to Iris and himself, as he approached Iris. He raised both his eyebrows in a 'Well....' kind of way. "Sounds like... fun...."

Fallon looked over at Iris. She knew her friend wasn't one for water and the she was probably torn about doing this. She then walked over once Aaron motioned her over. She still had her wet suit in her hand. She really wasn't going to put this on just yet.

"Hey guys." Fallon looked at Iris. "You gonna be okay? I'm sure Lafay will understand if you don't want to do this." She wasn't really wanting to do this either. Being underwater with only one way out = not such a good idea.

Fallon grinned at Aaron. "Eh. It would be if we had more than one way out." Yep. She was definitely going to voice her opinion out loud on this one. Maybe all three of them could just not do this together...

"You do not." Hecate said shrugging. She was certainly going to have a good time, with or without students.

"Go on, try it on. You'll see it'll fit you." She told the girl.

"Of course," good, some of them were getting it. "Take a leaf." She said opening the jar for him.


"Glad you think so Captain."

"Oh, Prefect Beaumont, Captain Anderson, I will need you, Cartwright and Malfoy to also keep a lookout underwater, make sure no one starts fighting, or hurts themselves." She said as an afterthought.

Emma nodded and listened carefully to the whole conversation, since she had arrived slightly late to the meeting, she decided not to open her mouth. After the lecture, Lafay said 'let's go have some fun'. WHAT? Lafay talking about fun? ....Was this a DREAM? The blonde smiled. This was sooooo cool!! Emma loved adventures and new stuff, and so she also grabbed a wet suit. Once she had the wetsuit on it got a lot tighter and shrunk a little to fit her. Perfect, it fitted like a glove.

Gah! Great. Now, she had to use Gillyweed. Blah... Emma wished that she was a sixth year now so she could get out of using it. She saw Hyun, who looked very excited. "Hey Hyun, isn't this exciting?" she exclaimed and walked over to Lafay. "Professor, may I please have some Gillyweed?" she asked, politely.

Breathe, Helena, she thought. You don't have to do this. Good. "Thank you. And I'm sorry, professor," she said, feeling the blood rush in her cheeks. "I don't like to... complain," was that the right word? "But I don't exactly feel comfortable being under the water." Okay, now why was she telling her this? She probably didn't care about her fear.

Lafay was doing this to try and traumatise the older students, wasn't she? The sixth and seventh years, because they were the only ones who remembered the flooding. The woman was evil.

Iris hadn't even noticed Aaron in the room. She was staring at the hatch, like her eyes were glued to it. What idiot REALLY decided that it was a good idea?! She looked away from it, finally, only when she noticed that someone was stood in front of her.

Fun?

... FUN?!

Iris made an odd, strangled laugh.

"Yeah... fun." Iris mumbled, sounding a bit distance. She looked up at Aaron's face. "Aaron..." Iris glanced at the hatch, watching as a couple of people made their way into the waters, "Ican'tdothis."

Flying... she is willing to get over. Getting trapped in the lake with only that TEENY hatch to get back out of? No way. It was not going to happen.

Unless, y'know... you convinced her enough. But being realistic, who would bother doing that?

Iris looked at Fallon and gave her half a smile. A very unconvincing one at that. "I ... don't know." Iris answered, shrugging nervously. The prefect scoffed at Fallon's idea. "I doubt it...."

The prefect looked at the wetsuit in Fallon's hand. Eugh. So there was the potential of DROWING, getting KILLED by something, and looking AWFUL during the process. Lafay hated them. She really must do.

Iris nodded at Lafay, "Y-y-yes, Professor..." and then turned to stare at Fallon. "There's your answer. I'm not getting out of this thing." She then looked back up to Aaron, as if she was going to say something. Iris didn't have a clue WHAT, though.

Le SIGH!

There had to be something good at the end of all of this. If there wasn't, Iris couldn't see how any of this trip into the Lake would be worth it.

"Thank you , Professor" he said politely and took a leaf from the jar. Seeeee he knew how to be polite! hehe. He was about to eat the gillyweed when a voice behind him made him stop.

"Emma! yeah this is so cool!" he said, literally bouncing up and down on his place. "I don't get why some are scared though..did something bad happen in the past?" He suddenly stopped jumping like a child and looked with a nervous expression to the hatch. Ah he was about to find out soon enough. He shrugged his shoulders and turned around to see Emma asking for a gillyweed too. "Ok, on the count of three we take these slimey things in together? ok? one ...two...three!"

Hyun placed the Gillyweed in his mouth and made a disgusted face. It tasted slimey yet also rubbery..was that even a word? He swallowed it and.....nothing happened... He frowned for a few seconds before grabbing his throat. He couldn't breath properly ..in fact he couldn't breath at all! He tried to gasp a few times but now he was really suffocating.. He didn't want to diiieee!

With swift movements, Hyun ran towards the hatch and with a *SPLASH* he dived in the water. Finally getting some fresh ....air in his lungs?

...Right... Fun.

"Aye, aye, professor!" He said saluting her. Now I have to watch over little snakes AND keep myself alive...



Aaron noticed how nervous Iris was.... And he was NOT going to admit to being nervous........ OK, yeah he was.

"Don't worry... I'm nervous as well." Yes... You're the 'TOUGH' boyfriend.

Aaron watched as Fallon came over with her wet suit... He looked at it and took a deep breath... Well, no turning back now. The captain went over to the trunk of wetsuits and waiting for the other snakeys to... well... MOVE. Eventually he made it to the trunk and retrieved two of the swimming things. Making his way back to his friends, he gave one to Iris and kept the other for himself.

Was he supposed to, you know, put it over his clothes? Probably. Aaron hopped on inside the suit and pulled the sleeeves and things over. At first... It was tight. And then POOF! It adjusted perfectly to his size. Like magic! He smiled to Fallon and Iris... trying to show the girl some support.

Fallon looked down at the wet suit that was still in her hand. She forced a smile for Lafay and went to go put on the suit, but Iris was talking. And that was more important. And a great way to stall time.

Fallon was going to say that she was one hundred percent sure that Lafay would understand, until Lafay said that it was the Prefects job to keep everyone safe. She frowned and looked at her friend. "Aaron and I will be there with you. You'll be okay." Plus, Fallon was an expert at the bubble head charm and could help anyone if they needed it.

Then Aaron went and grabbed wet suits for him and Iris. Fallon watched as Aaron pulled his on. Then Fallon finally pulled hers on. It was really big and baggy. Suddenly, it shrank to fit her perfectly. She turned to Iris and smiled. Hoping to reassure her friend.

Well he thought lineage was pretty important for the House of Slytherin, at least thats what he keeps getting from some of his fellow Snakes. But RESPECT, yeah thats the trump card right there.

He rushed to take a few wet suits and came near Rae, Evelyn, Marie and Destiny "Hello Ladies...." he crooned "Here are your wet suits...." he said handing to each girl the green & silver outfit "....and if you need any assistance getting into them, I'm here ready and willing to help" Griiiin.

He then turned to the Potions Mistress and asked "Professor, may I have a several pieces of the Gillyweed, for myself and for my friends who would opt to use it?"

Alex widened his eyes, they were all going under water?

How. Cool. Was. That? The answer was very, it was also very freaky and slightly suspicious but he didn't care.

"May I have some gillyweed please professor?" he asked walking up to Professor Lafay, because man was he excited.

Better keep his ninja costume well hidden...

Emma nodded. She felt like jumping up and down with excitement. She smiled at Hyun. "Hmmm.. you know, Hyun. I don't know." she explained. She didn't know anything of bad experiences.

Emma grinned and took one as well. Ugh.. She was about to put it in her mouth, when Hyun had jumped in the water. Wow! He was quick. She walked over to the hatch and spotted her partner in crime. "See you down there Alex." she said, giving him a wink. Here goes, she thought. Putting the gillyweed in her mouth, she cringed. Ewwwwww.. Not fun. She tried to breath but it wasn't working. The blonde dove into the hatch after him.
